1481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin is now being pumped with BTC on: May 04, 2021, 03:03:59 PM
BTC price is going down, Dogecoin up, but don't fall into this newbie trap, it's all relative, the whales will sell Dogecoin back to BTC!
I don't even think that whales are buying Dogecoin and thereby pushing its price growth. Most likely, this is done by those who succumbed to Elon Musk's tweets. You can only invest in this coin for a short time and you need to be ready to lock in your profit in time, since I also agree that it can fall deeply in price over time.
At the same time, the price effect of the Dogecoin bubble can also last for a long time if the buzz of investors continues. Cryptocurrencies are sometimes very unpredictable. However, one thing is clear: the risk of investing in this coin is now great.
1482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you want become Rich from HODL? HODL ETH! Read here for the reason!! on: May 04, 2021, 02:45:44 PM
A quick overlook to Ethereum, it was $3,500 a few moments ago.

ETH2.0 is actually a development of the current ethereum. but in reality eth is still not able to solve the existing problems, especially regarding the high cost of transactions. but if we buy eth now, it will certainly generate more than double the profits in one or two years
It is trying to solve the existing problem about costing and it's started to decrease if we're going to check the Ethereum fee guide websites. I haven't made my own transaction yet but most of them says that it had decreased a lot.
Today, for the first time, we saw the price of ethereum above $ 3,500 and this, apparently, is only the beginning of the triumphal procession of this coin. Apparently, in the coming months, the ethereum price should rise to $ 5,000, especially if the stages of its network renewal are successful.
It is also interesting to observe the growth of capitalization and the level of dominance of this coin in the market. Ethereum's capitalization has already surpassed $ 400 billion, while Bitcoin is stuck at a trillion dollars. A little more and the capitalization of ethereum will reach half of the capitalization of bitcoin. The level of dominance of this coin is also growing. It is now 17.7 percent, while Bitcoin's dominance has dropped to 45.5 percent.
1483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Towards a unified currency on: May 03, 2021, 07:31:17 PM
Have always wonder which currency would the world accept if only one currency was to be used. Maybe the dollar?, don't think so, The British won't tolerate that.
Cryptocurrency?. Maybe. Until the advent of cryptocurrency, I never thought that would be possible but it seems possible.
The world is not too far from a unified currency.
No, in order for a single currency to exist in the world, there should not be many states, all the more so with different political systems and other factors that separate them. A single currency is possible when all states are united into a single superstate, or when they are closely united with a generally recognized single government.
However, decentralized cryptocurrency is not suitable for this role for many reasons. It could be one of the future regional stablecoins of states or the stablecoins of a major state.
1484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you want become Rich from HODL? HODL ETH! Read here for the reason!! on: May 03, 2021, 07:13:08 PM
This is the reason

Quote
Ethereum whales have been on a buying spree since November 2020, currently holding 68.7% of the total supply, while Grayscale has doubled their ETH stack.

Although Ethereum’s price has tumbled by a few hundred dollars since its peak in February, whales have continued to accumulate large portions of the second-largest digital asset. Recent data revealed that large ETH investors own nearly 70% of the total supply – the highest level since late 2017

https://cryptopotato.com/anticipating-ethereum-2-0-eth-whales-hold-nearly-70-of-the-total-supply/

Now, ETH is $1,700. I will update this thread when ETH 2.0 implemented around 1-2 years later and we will see how much profit/loss we get on that time.

P.S there are only 30% Ether on market....
In less than two months, ethereum has practically doubled its price, which now stands at over $ 3,300. I also see for the first time the current ratio of dominance of bitcoin (46.8 percent) to ethereum (16.5 percent), which, of course, should have a very positive effect on the altcoin market in the near future.
The Ethereum 2.0 update is only starting to show its first positive results, and the ethereum price is already constantly updating its price highs. So I agree. This is the time to accumulate and hold this coin.
1485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum price will now go down again after reaching 3k? on: May 03, 2021, 06:40:10 PM
After reaching 3k now, it looks possible for ETH to go down again.
Like Bitcoin right now, BTC is really undecided where to go next and price has declined from 65k to 57k.
Maybe we see a similar drop for Ethereum now after reaching 3k to drop back to 2.5k.

What do you expect?
No, the ethereum price will continue to rise. This is just the beginning of the growth of this coin. After real improvements with transaction fees, scaling and others as part of the Ethereum 2.0 update, the price of this coin will only go up. Of course, the growth will not be great if the overall market growth dynamics is negative. However, there are still no objective reasons for this.
It is possible that ethereum could rise to $ 6,000 - $ 8,000 by the end of this year.
1486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The problem is that it could take again many years to recover on: May 03, 2021, 06:11:27 PM
I have no problems seeing a bright future for BTC, but after a major retracement it might again take many years to recover. Look at the last sell off down to $3700. It took almost 4 years to make new ATH.
So should this be the major, expected drop, it could again take many years for BTC to reach 100k.
Many people will be dead before BTC will reach 1 mio.
it is true that the existence of a perfect bitcoin recovery as it is today takes years. for example, 2017 to recover should take 3 years starting at the end of 2020. but this is not a problem, the most important thing is bitcoin still exists and still has a chance to be in crypto for a long time.
I hope that if bitcoin further drops significantly in price, then some potential altcoins this time will still not follow the bitcoin price as strictly as it did in 2018-2020. The cryptocurrency market is changing and this will continue in the future. Therefore, a similar situation is hardly possible. Although, in general, the market falls, and the falls are large and long, there will also be more.
1487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government Controls Crypto? on: May 03, 2021, 05:53:12 PM
CryptoBitcoin is decentralized. The network itself is, but most of the on-ramps like exchanges aren't. There's a significant difference there. And yes, the government can surely outlaw the buying/selling of bitcoin/crypto, but they can't "ban" it. The same reason how certain drugs are illegal but people still buy/sell/use them. And knowing that bitcoin transactions are conducted 100% online, it will be far easier to use it(compared to buying/selling drugs) even if it was illegal.
Yes, I totally agree here. States and their governments have a lot of power and great ability to strongly influence cryptocurrency. We have a recent example with ripple. As soon as the SEC filed a lawsuit against the abuse of two executives at Ripple Labs, XRP immediately plummeted in value. This despite the fact that there was no real danger for the circulation of the XRP coin itself, and there is not. What will happen to the price of any cryptocurrency if, for example, the G20 states declare it illegal and establish responsibility for its use? I am confident that the price of any such cryptocurrency will almost immediately drop by more than 90 percent. At their own peril and risk, some will still be able to use it, but this will no longer be its previous use.
1488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we create our own Alt coin and what's stopping others from creating it? on: May 01, 2021, 08:02:37 AM
I'm curious how all these works. If I were to create my own altcoin similar to how Dogecoin was created, how do I go about doing so and what's stopping others from creating their own altcoin? Is Legal a factor or are there any other issues that might be stopping others from creating it?
Tokens are easy to create. They say it takes about half an hour. However, now there are already more than nine thousand different altcoins and without their usefulness for society, it makes no sense to create additional ones. Now, thousands of altcoins have already become practically useless and unnecessary. Sometimes people put their money into them and thus actually throw them away, because after a while they disappear from the market forever.
1489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: taking profit can be hard sometimes. on: May 01, 2021, 07:43:34 AM
some traders and investors find it hard to take profit even after making good profit on investment. this can be as a result of aiming to sell at a desired price that is higher or hoping to hold the tokens for more longer time.  its not everyone that can do this patiently and some usually regret their actions. the secret is to make decision and stand by it and also be satisfied by little profits , take out your investments and some little profits and then leave the rest for long term.

kindly share your ideas that might be helpful to solving this issue.
One of the most difficult problems in cryptocurrency is making the right decision in time to withdraw funds to fix profits. Since the price movement of cryptocurrency is very bad to predict, we all make mistakes in this and no one will be able to avoid it. Therefore, possible losses should be treated as inevitable costs when working with cryptocurrency and rejoice at even a small profit.
1490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB to $1k? on: May 01, 2021, 07:08:47 AM
Yes it can and very much sustainable. There's no question if BNB has the possibility of reaching $1k anytime soon. It will break its next ATH soon @ $700.

Anything is possible, the enthusiasm behind BNB is really huge especially as ethereum 2.0 is lagging behind and could reach 1k usd at its peak.
I think Ethereum will remain the most popular in the long run.
Both of them will have their own throne but yeah, it's still going to be Ethereum that will be the 2nd at the top. But, they're still close on their ranks.
Yes, temporary difficulties in the ethereum network with high transaction fees and low scalability are a good opportunity for cryptocurrencies like BNB to grow. In addition, this growth is well deserved due to the good functional characteristics of this network.
However, ethereum has its own large community, which has been formed over the years. After the upgrade of the ethereum network, this coin will become even more attractive and perhaps then the current popularity of BNB will drop slightly. However, there is still room for good price growth. If this year the cryptocurrency market will retain its growth rate for some time, then it is quite possible that with the current BNB price of $ 631, it could reach one thousand dollars.
1491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Elon Musk "Smart" Tweeting Continues! on: May 01, 2021, 06:36:44 AM
The real joke here is Elon Musk becoming a SNL host.
I'm confused. Is he even joking/trolling?Is he slowly becoming narcissistic?Perhaps his giant ego is taking control over him,so he wants all the money and fame. What's the point of becoming a SNL host?
He has the right to make jokes about Dogecoin or Bitcoin or any other coin. The problem is that his jokes make the market a little more turbulent and some people are losing money(mostly because of their own naivety/stupidity,rather than his jokes).
The real problem is that we are paying attention to his trolling.
I am not at all embarrassed by the current activity of Elon Musk on social networks in his open attitude towards some cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and Dogecoin. In general, it does a good job for cryptocurrency: it advertises cryptocurrency and draws people's attention to it.
Yes, while Dogecoin is temporarily pumping up in price. However, people themselves are responsible for their decisions and actions.
I do not think that at the same time Elon Musk does it because of the desire to make money on it. He seems to be very amused by the reaction of people to his tweets. Let him have fun.
1492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Isn't it time for us to defend our interests in the courts? on: May 01, 2021, 06:00:29 AM
We have more than once come across the arbitrariness of the development team of various projects, which after the bounty campaigns at their own discretion change the order and any conditions of payments to bounty hunters of the stipulated remuneration and already treat this as something inevitable. However, how defenseless are we?

Many of us took part in the bounty companies of the UnitedCrowd project, which is registered in Germany. From the outset, they announced that the reward pool is 12.5 million of their UCT tokens, which is € 250,000, meaning that their token is supposedly valued at $ 0.02. Moreover, the payment will be made to the participants' ether wallets without any KYC checks and other restrictions.
Now, after the end of the bounty on March 31st, they broke their promises. They offer to register on their website and go through KYC there with the provision of their identification documents and selfies with them, the payment of tokens will be made to the personal accounts of the participants on the site and they will be frozen for three months. However, most importantly, due to the fact that their token has grown in price to $ 0.3, they decided not to pay out the number of tokens that is already indicated in the table and want to reduce them by about 20 times.

This is outright deception on the part of the development team. In this regard, some bounty hunters propose to go to the German courts with a lawsuit against UnitedCrowd in connection with the team's unilateral violation of the essential terms of the contract with the participants of the bounty campaigns. Yes, there may not yet be any judicial precedents for this category of cases, but the case looks quite promising due to the obviousness of such violations.

Do you think it's time for bounty hunters to unite and defend their rights in court?
1493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: See why most bounty hunters get scammed on: May 01, 2021, 05:23:19 AM
You'll never know until you are paid or not or the token gets a high value or worthless.  Many bounty hunters had experience to join a single bounty which last a month or two campaign that paid more than a year of payment of your participation in your current signature campaign. So you'll never understand until you experience it yourself.

As for the token value yes you're right, but on getting paid... Either choose the right bounty manager, or go for an established project, as you are in now. I think I participated in initial Phore campaign few years ago, when they were just starting it.
The reasons why participants in bounty campaigns are deceived are different and not everything here depends on them.

1494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has the world become greedier since BTC? on: May 01, 2021, 04:42:09 AM
Since BTC and crypto everyone wants to get rich and earn a lot of $. Everywhere you look it's the same story, be it BTC or any other shitcoin. It's obvious not everyone will make it.

Yeah, getting rich is nice and I also hope it will happen for myself but I feel the society is becoming way too materialistic. Also the greediness level seems very high, everyone want to get more and more.

What's your view on this?
Human nature is such that everyone wants material well-being and this is absolutely normal. It can hardly be said that people are now more greedy. Cryptocurrency and the possibility of quick earnings in it attracts primarily the young generation, which does not yet have sufficient material well-being. Apparently, you are just in their environment, and therefore it seems to you that everyone is concerned about cryptocurrency and the opportunities it provides for get rich quick.
1495  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-22 yahoo! - 'Bitcoin Winter' Could Last For Years After Price Hits $300k on: April 29, 2021, 09:43:05 PM
It seems to me that with the further increase in the price of bitcoin, it will become more and more difficult for him to do this. After all, the risk of losing invested capital will increase if the price of bitcoin falls. If people see another big drop in the price of bitcoin, as it was in 2018, then they are unlikely to invest in it next time when it rises high in price again.
In addition, the cycles in terms of the depth of the fall and its duration in time will not necessarily repeat even with approximate accuracy. Altcoins are developing very actively now and they will also influence the further movement of the market, despite the state of bitcoin.
1496  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-04-21] Governments can stop Bitcoin by shutting down mining, says Electric on: April 29, 2021, 09:22:22 PM
They are wrong. There are more than 250 countries and autonomous territories in the world and there is zero chance that all of them would crackdown on Bitcoin mining simultaneously. OK.. let's take the unlikely scenario of that happening. But that doesn't mean that all of the miners would just shut down their shop and quit. There will be some who would continue mining cryptocurrency, albeit anonymously. I don't think that the governments have the resources to track down and prosecute small scale miners.
It's right. If at least some of the miners remain, they will still mine the same amount of bitcoins as before with a large number of miners. After all, one bitcoin is mined every ten minutes. And the number of miners is no longer important here. It's just that the remaining miners will mine them more often.
In addition, about 18 million bitcoins out of 21 million have already been mined. Even if bitcoin mining stops completely, then only those that have already been mined will go, without the remaining three million.
1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts will find their own course? on: April 29, 2021, 02:12:35 PM
What do you think will happen to Alts in the next BTC bear run? Are they going to follow BTC road to his next 200 days lowest point (around $32471) or with the money flow pumping in a lot of cryptocurrency based companies will they keep growing and moving forward?
All the questions because there is a clear decrease in BTC dominance falling below 50% and in the near past some Alts like ETH or even DOT have shown a normal growth.
Also some important people in the crypto world like CZ are talking about the same subject saying that there is no reason for some coins to lose more than 40% in value.
A bursting growth is yet to come for well established DAPPs.

So, do any Alt have the potential to avoid the crippling fall and why?
The price dominance of bitcoin in the cryptocurrency market is still large, so in general, when bitcoin falls, the rest of the altcoins will follow. However, even if you look at the situation in today's market, you can see that the price of bitcoin is now practically standing still or even falling slightly, and ethereum has already exceeded its price record and reaches a price of $ 2800. The top BNB and XRP coins are also doing well. Concurrently, Bitcoin's dominance fell to 48.3 percent, while ethereum rose to 15.3 percent. The situation on the cryptocurrency market will constantly change and it is quite possible that some altcoins will move away from the dominance of bitcoin.
1498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Give reasons why ETH is better than BSC on: April 29, 2021, 01:42:24 PM
between ETH and BSC are different blockchains all have their own advantages and disadvantages for the present time people will definitely look to the BSC chain which has the convenience and cheapness of gas prices and for sure if ETH V 2 has been present and resolves the problem of gas prices, surely people people are turning to ETH, and the difference between the two that makes them different is decentralization.
The current problems with high transaction fees on the ethereum network are temporary. These problems may disappear within a few months. Many people understand this, so the ethereum network continues to be in demand. For example, the current price increase for this coin is already about $ 2,800 due to the fact that the European Investment Bank began issuing digital bonds in the form of security tokens on the Ethereum platform in the amount of 100 million euros for two years. In addition, other banks are going to do the same. Therefore, in the future, the ethereum network will expand, and the coin will grow in popularity and price.
1499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Price After Lawsuit? on: April 28, 2021, 04:45:56 PM
XRP will either win the lawsuit or pay a fine to settle it with SEC. Either way, the price will jump afterwards to its old ATH of $3+ at least.
Well, in principle, this is true. No matter how the SEC lawsuit against Ripple Labs ends, the court decision will not affect the circulation of this coin. We are only talking about paying or not paying a large amount of fines. The SEC is claiming a $ 1.3 billion fine. Most likely, two managers of this company will have to pay it, to whom the SEC has filed claims of abuse.
1500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to use ETH on: April 28, 2021, 03:59:45 PM
Simple reason, there are lots established token(ERC20) that uses ETH blockchain so this one is good enough to use ETH.  This simply means ETH is successful in making itself useful even though it is lagging behind in fixing its transaction fee problem.

Lack of usage may ruin the value of the coin.

True that but if you are referring to ETH, I think it has established its use, one of the reason why people still use it even though there is already an alternative chain to use in regards of cheap tx fee.  They just can't leave ETH because ETH usage had already been rooted through its thousands of ERC20 tokens.
To solve the problem with high transaction fees on the ethereum network, we have to wait a few months. During this time, this coin is unlikely to lose its current position and popularity. Moreover, now the whales are very actively buying it and it is now growing well in price. It even shows much better growth rates compared to Bitcoin. Ethereum has set an all-time high again today, rising above $ 2,700. I think that this year we may well be able to see its price of $ 5,000, especially if in October its scalability increases, as planned, 25 times.
