1541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Store of value or Payment method or else? on: April 17, 2021, 03:49:46 AM
Hello!

I've been seeing many people with many views and opinions on what bitcoin is for. What do you think bitcoin main purpose is and do you think it may change going forward?

Thank you!
Bitcoin was originally created as an alternative means of payment to the current state payment system. That is, new financial relations were created, in which intermediaries, and above all banks, were removed, and transactions became faster, more confidential and without geographical boundaries.
However, like all means of payment used as money, they simultaneously have the function of a measure of value and a store of value. Unfortunately, for many reasons, cryptocurrency is now performing its main function as a means of payment very poorly, and in the main it is used as a speculative asset, that is, preserving and accumulating value.
1542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can anybody explain why XRP is pumping? on: April 16, 2021, 06:07:03 PM
There are two possibilities that make the XRP price pump, the first possibility is of course price manipulation from whales. Because we know that
XRP is supported by many institutions and many banks. So maybe they made the XRP price pump, to make XRP attractive to investors again.
The second possibility I came across some rumors saying XRP was successful in proving that the SEC accusations were not true, but I doubt whether
this rumor is true or not. Although it is true, I believe that this is not the final decision by the court. My advice is not to invest in XRP first, because
it is still unclear why the sudden pump price. Let's pay attention to XRP price movements for the next few weeks.
The ripple price is growing primarily due to the general growth of the cryptocurrency market. Also, do not forget that it is a centralized cryptocurrency and is easy to manage.
However, Ripple Labs has not yet won a lawsuit against it from the SEC. There is positive news, which is that the judge allowed this company to have access to the SEC documents regarding bitcoin and ethereum in terms of why the SEC considers these coins to be not securities, but ripple is a security. However, there is still a long way to go to a positive decision on this claim.
1543  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian vs foreign companies on: April 16, 2021, 05:35:35 PM
At this point Russians are probably used to not having the same level of freedom as other countries so they will go along with this. I don't know if it's about making Russian companies more competitive or if they just want to have more control over their population. Giving people less choice doesn't lead to better products, it is always worse.
Of course, this is about controlling your population. It is much easier to incorporate various means of control over people into your software. In addition, Russia's isolation from the outside world and from foreign markets is now rapidly growing. Silly international policies based on the use of military force, blackmail and intimidation are leading to ever tougher international sanctions and this can lead to trade restrictions or to complete isolation of Russia from the outside world. Therefore, it is better to prepare for this in advance.
1544  Economy / Economics / Re: Turkish Central Bank Forbids use of cryptocurrencies as a mean of Exchange. on: April 16, 2021, 05:15:48 PM
That was expected from any central bank. Banking lobby is dead against bitcoin for a good reason- their own existence! Bitcoin has indeed challenged the banks and showd the common man that bank is not needed if you want to control your own money! So it's no wonder that central banks from many countries have issued directives against bitcoin and its usage. Even the central bank in my country have done the same. But did that hurt bitcoin? Not at all!
In addition, the growing price of bitcoin and of the entire cryptocurrency is now alarming the banking system. Indeed, an increasing amount of capital is being invested in cryptocurrency, and this can begin to affect the existing global financial system. On the other hand, the rise in the price of cryptocurrency increases the risk of loss of investment for citizens due to their mistakes and ordinary stupidity. Governments, of course, will not stand aloof from this process for long. Therefore, the regulation of cryptocurrency on their part will grow. Outright bans, as in the case of Turkey, are not the best way to do this. But, at the same time, cryptocurrency is now rarely used as a means of payment.
1545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dont stay in crypto too long on: April 15, 2021, 11:52:11 AM
I am not sure if I am going to follow the advises of those who say to sell immediately. Unless the OP just wants to share his misery to others about his crypto experience, then of course we have the responsibility to remind ourselves not to get affected with bad news. I would say that let's all do our best to become good traders and investors and hope that we would be able to profit from our efforts someday. We should be able to overcome our fear from being affected with the lows of trade and investing.
When working with cryptocurrency, you need to take into account any scenario. Therefore, it will be better if we periodically withdraw profits in regular currency or at least in stablecoins. It is important that we do not invest all our free money in cryptocurrency, no matter how profitable it may seem.
Of course, we have significant amounts of cryptocurrency and here we cannot fully adhere to the recommendation to invest as much as we can afford to lose. We are not interested in losing any significant amounts of money.
1546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin season ending in may ? on: April 15, 2021, 11:30:45 AM
Altcoin season does not end so fast especially at this time of year the price of bitcoin is increasing, and there are still many potential altcoins that have not reached the new ATH for this year so the altcoin season is still long and I am sure until the end of the year the price of bitcoin and altcoin will always be at the highest value, in fact the altcoin season has long passed but only a few months ago many atlcoins have reached the highest value in this year.
Most likely, in May-June there will be another price correction, which may drag on right up to autumn, or the growth in the market will be insignificant. By summer, business activity always drops in almost all markets. However, no one knows for sure, because this year is special for the cryptocurrency market. Therefore, everything can be expected.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The future of AME on: April 15, 2021, 11:15:33 AM
if I see the potential of AME is good for the journey a few steps ahead. but I still doubt Amepay's capability for bounty participant payments. they are still procrastinating and that will be bad for the ongoing project. many bounties voiced negative voices and that should be avoided by AME
Almost the other day, information was published that the team plans to distribute rewards in a month. Of course, many Bounty companies have abused this by constantly postponing the reward and eventually deceived the hunters, but regarding the AME team and the Rabbits, we have no reason to mistrust them.
I also recently read that the distribution of the remaining unpaid AME tokens to bounty participants will take place in the next three days. Yesterday I checked my wallet, there the last weekly payment was about 80 days ago, that is, they have not been paid for more than ten weeks. Interestingly, the unpaid amounts are not that big compared to what they have already paid. I don't understand the team of this project. Is it all about the high transaction fees on the ethereum network?
1548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about KICKTOKEN? on: April 15, 2021, 10:55:17 AM
If Kicktoken will pump it will easily dump because there 888,888 bounty distribution last 2018.
AFAIK, it's so difficult to open the airdrop token. I have heard before if the airdrop participants needs to fulfill all of requirements before
https://kickecosystem.medium.com/888-888-kicktokens-frozen-drop-to-170-000-crypto-users-is-coming-2937a1abf641
I don't know what's the requirement to participate unlock the token but i have ever heard that if that's related to the referral system. I think it's not a lot of people will able to unlock it.

Everything can be found in this article - How to unlock your 888,888 KickTokens from FrozenDrop?. Found it in just few second googling. All you have to do is to deposit 15k EUR to exchange in crypto equivalent. Looks like an obvious scam. And the price is pumped artificially, get attract more attention and scam people.
888,888 of these tokens also appeared in my wallet for a long time and I recently noticed a decent increase in their price. Now the price of this token is $ 0.00052, which is equal to $ 462. The amount is decent, so I became interested in the price movement of this token. Earlier I read that they need to be unlocked, but if in such an incredible way, then let these tokens continue to be stored in the wallet.
1549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple ever reach $5 ? on: April 15, 2021, 10:40:04 AM
There is high hope that the market will take its bullish run again, I do not want to fall into fomo but xrp had a long time without a bullish turn, it is likely that the emotions on the part of xrp investors will grow again and continue to drive the price.

Are you certain about that? And what if Ripple loses its case against the SEC? Do you believe institutional investors would disregard this?
I don't see how anyone can forecast what will happen to the XRP price in the long run before the current legal matter is settled.
The results of the SEC's lawsuit against Ripple Labs cannot significantly affect the price of the ripple coin itself, since the subject of the lawsuit is the possible abuse of two leaders of this company, and not the legality of the circulation of this coin. If the lawsuit is lost by the company, then these two managers will have to pay large penalties.
Ripple will continue to exist and grow in any case, including in price. Now its price has risen to $ 1.73. This coin could still rise to a few dollars in price. This will depend, among other things, on the direction of the movement of the cryptocurrency market.
1550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Xrp will pass ath ? on: April 14, 2021, 04:15:04 PM
Do you believe xrp will pass ath of 3.5$ ?  I am so exciting of this project. May be coinbase again listed
The bullish scenario has played out to the rhythm of bitcoin this year has been very uniform.  Although the majority of altcoins and defi have shined, only a few coins that can surpass its highest ATH are ADA (0.83 - 2018).  However, XRP began to slow down earlier this year at a very modest value due to the problems associated with the war with the SEC and its consequences.  But this week, XRP has seen a strong rally.  with ATH of $ 3.5 (2018), I think XRP can completely erase and create new ATH levels for its history.
Most likely, the situation with a decent increase in the price of ripple is another controlled surge that has been encountered before. I do not think that such a rise will last long. Most likely, the growth will soon slow down or the price of this coin will begin to decline altogether. It will also depend on the rate of price growth for bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency. Therefore, it is unlikely that ripple will rise to $ 3.50 in the near future.
1551  Economy / Economics / Re: Counter trade every decision central bank make on: April 14, 2021, 03:04:27 PM
Finally it has to come to this point, every decision central bank made, is outright worthless, to protect yourselves, you should counter trade every single decision they made, when central bank decide to issue digital currencies, it’s your time to counter trade their decision. The way to counter trade central bank, by calling them centralised surveillance fake money, what’s next?
I see no need to oppose the decisions of the central banks, as well as the issuance of digitalized currencies. The banking system nevertheless performs useful and important functions for the development of the economies of states, so you should not treat banks so negatively. If you are not satisfied with their work, just do not contact them and use their services less.
The digitized national currencies of central banks are also more progressive than their regular currencies and should be positively perceived by the general population, as they should provide people with additional convenience.
1552  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the government hijack Bitcoin? on: April 14, 2021, 02:42:52 PM
Bitcoin is known as to be the biggest cryptocurrency. in some countries it can be used to purchase goods and services and some see cryptocurrency as a threat.

if Bitcoin comes to be number one currency in the world today, can it  be hijack by the government?
Bitcoin is created and functions in a way that is almost impossible. States will not even be able to determine which of their citizens has bitcoins if they are simply stored in their wallets. Hacking the bitcoin blockchain is simply impossible.
In addition, states will not show much interest in bitcoins and will not use it en masse. They will create their own digitalized national central bank currencies, or regional stablecoins.
1553  Economy / Economics / Re: what will happens if everyone has own currency, doesn't a bad for Economics ? on: April 14, 2021, 02:19:33 PM
In my opinion, it is impossible for everyone to have their own currency. Currency is a medium of exchange for goods and services. In short, it's money, in the form of paper or coins, usually issued by a government and generally accepted at its face value as a method of payment. It should have value in order for you to use it in purchasing services and goods. For your coin to have value it must be recognized by the public. In cryptocurrency this will increase it's value through high demand. What does your coin do? What sets it apart from other coins?
Now there are already more than 9000 different types of cryptocurrency, and a significant part of them is useless, that is, it is not necessary and useful to people, and therefore is not in demand. Each cryptocurrency must fulfill some useful role, so the idea of each creating their own cryptocurrency is meaningless.
1554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I convince people that Bitcoin isn't a financial pyramid? on: April 14, 2021, 01:58:13 PM
Why do you want spend you time explaining evident facts? Just show them a financial pyramid definition and stop casting pearls before swine.
Outwardly, bitcoin really looks like a classic financial pyramid and there is still nothing we can do about it. We all recognize that for that for bitcoin to continue to rise in value, people need to invest more in it. The fact that it has been constantly increasing in price for more than ten years as a whole cannot serve as an absolute guarantee that this will continue in the future. Therefore, convincing someone that bitcoin is not a pyramid scheme is not worth it. This is a completely new type of financial asset, which is still difficult to explain to people who have dealt only with the common currency of states. For now, we should use Bitcoin and another potential cryptocurrency. Our profit over time will serve as a good proof of the cryptocurrency's performance, and the longer it lasts, the less someone will need to be convinced.
1555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will stablecoins replace Fiat currencies in the future? on: April 13, 2021, 05:55:22 PM
The solution to this issue depends entirely on the will of the governments. However, it is safe to say that private and other commercial stablecoins will not replace the common currencies of states. In the long term, when stablecoins of the central banks of states appear, other stablecoins may generally be banned by states from circulation. This just does not apply to decentralized stablecoins.
In general, the stablecoins of the central banks of states will partly systematically replace fiat currencies, but only to the extent that governments decide.
1556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Forget about ETH Era, We are on BINANCE Era right now!!! Long Live BSC!!! on: April 13, 2021, 05:23:29 PM
it's a money giveaway for holding BSC, it's definitely a moneymaker this time. but there will be chances so careful with BSC because once ETH come to find their solution to the high fees, you'd come running back again to ETH. didn't put all your eggs in one basket as they say. eth is more than $2k, a token that big isn't going down without a fight. ETH also on the way to making changes.
Ethereum will show what it can do after its upgrade. BNB is currently on the rise amid a problem in the ethereum network with high transaction fees. Soon this problem will be solved and ethereum will be revived. Both of these coins are quite promising and they will have to coexist and compete with each other. However, ethereum still should not lose its previous positions as the leader of altcoins and second place in the CoinMarketCap table.
1557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Price After Lawsuit? on: April 13, 2021, 04:59:12 PM
Even if the lawsuit by Ripple Labs is lost, this should have little effect on the price of the coin itself. After all, in fact, the lawsuit concerns the abuse of two leaders of this company, that is, whether they will pay a fine of $ 1.3 billion proposed by the SEC or not. Now the price of ripple continues to grow very quickly, and if even recently we discussed the question of whether the price of this coin can rise to one dollar, today its price is 1.80 dollars. Therefore, everything should be fine with the ripple.
1558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum GAS fee so high? on: April 13, 2021, 07:58:40 AM
In my opinion, it should already be clear to everyone that the high transaction fees in the ethereum network arose due to the high congestion of this network. Even NFT tokens are issued mainly on the ethereum platform. I look forward to July when this issue should go away as a result of the planned implementation of the Ethereum 2.0 improvements. I hope that soon we will see a completely different ethereum coin and its popularity, as well as the price will rise a lot.
1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Honest opinion poll about the potential of NFT on: April 13, 2021, 07:35:10 AM
This is a very specific token and I think that not everyone needs it. I still don't understand its purpose well. Perhaps it would be better to create a stablecoin for this purpose, which will serve a virtual auction of art and antiques. There is very little information about NFT tokens, so it is not surprising that people are now very interested in them, as a result of which this hype arose. After a certain time, all this will settle down, then we'll see how useful this token will be.
1560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid been carried away, it's never going to be bullish forever on: April 12, 2021, 05:01:21 PM
In principle, this reasoning is correct. One should always take into account the possibility that at any time during a long period of a bull market, the situation may change quickly and those who have not taken at least some of their profits will suffer losses or wait for the next bull cycle. However, the whole problem is that no one knows when the price growth of this market will be replaced by its decline. And the situation in the cryptocurrency market cannot be exactly the same in different years. She's much better now than she was in 2017. Therefore, the current period of price increases may well be longer than it was in 2017. In any case, we ourselves make a decision on this matter at our own peril and risk.
