201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CREAMcoin • by CREAMteam • Pow/Pos • 4MB • 4 min • Stealth • Masternode on: June 20, 2018, 08:18:53 PM
I surely can not understand why Cream has not performed well on the markets. It has so much going for it.

The only thing I can think, as its happened before, is ASICS have killed this coin. I think had it been a different algo it would have been a much better picture right now.

Maybe its not to late to change the ago or at least a fork to make it ASIC resistant. Idk I have always felt when a currency is POW and is ASIC resistant you have a much bigger community of miners interacting and that enthusiasm seems to spill over into the exchanges. There is virtually ZERO movement on Cream as of late. It shouldn't be this way.

Other coins of my interest are BTCZ-Algo change ZCash to ZHash and I think others are going to follow like BTG etc. Also Electroneum has made the conversion to an ASIC resistant algo and so on.... there are reasons for this lol

I'm open to new approaches and or ideas if it will bring the coin to life. Or maybe its just impossible to do with Cream at this point Idk. Something needs to give.

Dev any brainstorms?  Grin

Still no AMD miner?
That's what I'm in here checking for. It appears nothing yet..   Roll Eyes

it's in development.
May I ask by who? and where do you know this from.

Does this wallet install and run from windows 7 or 10? I ask because I do not use a smart phone  Cool nor Facebook or any social media, I'm old school lol

https://my.electroneum.com/

I started to set this up a few weeks ago but stopped when it ask for my mobile number..... if i enter it for the sake of creating a wallet can I run it on my PC?. I didn't get that far as I was not going to put my mobile number out there to the world.

JoenNL,

Hey I can link to your pool now, Clicked on the last link you posted and went right to it.

You should reconsider adding the payment ID option to your pool. Right now my payments are going to the exchange smoothly. Which suits me fine. Plus I have had other ETN on the exchange since ETN launched. So I am just adding to that bag lol its simplified this way.

I was only referring in the other post about the older type p2p pools minimums for examples sake. Any minimum for me personally doesn't really matter. I was always thinking about the little guy. My avg round payout on fairhash has been 200-350 at present hash there the last few days.

The reason I am back on Fairhash is because everyday on either MPH or Herominers all my miners at the same time would start to throw strange errors and stop hashing. I would be connected but no hashes... still baffles me to this day? did it on both of those pools......so I went back to fairhash and is steady as can be for 4 days now.

Ok, Ill study your pool, but think about adding back payment ID it can't hurt anything, especially on your side.  Smiley

JoenNL,

I cant link to your pool?

There is no option to mine directly to an exchange, this pool is not for mine-dump. This pool is more for holders and open for everybody.

That kinda sux because I am done messing with paper wallets and forget the simple wallet. And I dont use a mobile wallet  Grin

Just because one may mine to a pool surely does not mean one is a mine and dump miner... Just a good convenient place to store coins and makes it easier when the price is right to sell. Basic business practice  Wink

Good Luck however!!

Why not using the mobile miner though? Do you believe having your coins on the exchange with all those hacks being done by time to time is safer than having them on your phone and storing the private key somewhere safe?
I understand that you want to sell on a price hike but still... I wouldn't risk it with an exchange for long times.

Being unable to mine to an exchange is the best thing Ive heard all day.

It causes issues for the exchange.

I don't think so, as far as being problems for an exchange. First they need the business. Secondly I have mined ZCash for almost a year to Bittrex as well as other coins, XMR etc. and never an issue or complaint. So long as a conscious effort is made to limit the exchange payouts to larger amounts being sent from the pools. like 500 vs 10  Grin less frequency

I'm inclined to think they do not like payouts from the more rare old style p2p pools where the miner has no control over the payout minimums... where you might see fractions of a coin payouts. Which in ETN's case could cause a lot of unwanted traffic on the exchange servers eating up bandwidth, processing power etc.

Don't get me wrong, Ill use a good wallet installed on my PC any day over use of direct exchange deposits, depends on which is more practical at the time  Smiley

Don't anyone get me wrong, I am still a big proponent of BTCZ.  Cool

Now, any word on an AMD miner devs? ok, will be waiting and watching.

Congrats on a smooth fork, well done.  Wink

How many coins (BTCZ) will I get each day if I use rigs with 6 AMD 570 4 GB graphic cards?
Hmmm let me get out my calculator... ah ok answer is: ZERO  Grin

PS: Mine ETN you will make a lot more money  Wink

And one other thing.

I think its pretty slack of the "in charge dev team" that master minded ZHASH not to have made the proper arrangements to to have someone develop an AMD miner, way back when they decided to go forward to make it ASIC resistant.

No help here, hell as far as I am concerned right now we may have just as well have left the code alone and let the Asics miners have at it, because the new chain ain't doing me and thousands of others a bit of good right now.

Ya they made it ASIC and AMD resistant alright for sure... great job there devs.

I have mined this coin since it started. Without the rest of the mining community involved BTCZ will be stuck at 23-25 sats range for a while, if that.. (but hope not cause I still got a couple hundred thousand to sell) lol

You guys ought to consider starting a new thread for "Posting Nvidia hash rates" or something. Then everyone can go to that thread and hope to brag a little and compare notes.  Roll Eyes

Filling up the thread with Nvidia hash rates is kinda boring and useless to all other important things.

Not to say if someone needs help with a command line code or something, that's different. But seeing the same hash rates over and over and over... you get the point.

Sorry about that. I thought its important for people to know after the fork. Maybe you can contribute on AMD hashrates.
Sure when we get an AMD miner lol AND if you start another thread  Grin I mean I like to drop in to see whats up with BTCZ and not have to flip through pages of redundant hash rate postings. That's why most people just start another thread. If I was an investor and wanted to read up in here on the coin itself  I would be a bit aggravated trying to sort through and navigate around hash rates postings. Its almost a bit ridiculous.

But its not my thread, abuse it all you want, muddy it up.  Cheesy Even rename it: BTCZ NVIDIA HASH RATE THREAD! POST ALL OF YOUR HASH RATES HERE!!!!! Look at my 1080Ti Sols woot! lol

I just noticed, there's an exchange where you can buy Electroneum with Creditcard.
Can be paid in USD, EUR or RUB.
https://indacoin.com/en_GB/change/buy-electroneum-with-cardeur
They got pretty high fees though.
Ya that and don't expect any service if you have a U.S IP address......  Roll Eyes

So if I got this right. Amd owners have trouble mining this right now and Linux also has problems. That's not very impressive at all.

AMD Mining is working fine for me?
got 4x 280x's on it
1x r9 290x 8gb and a rx 580 8gb

What miner you use?
Old miner AMD Claymore does not work Just tried with 12.5 new port on Suprnova. Shares found are rejected as expected......

Same problem here, there's any solution? I was using claymore 12.5 and it was working fine until yesterday (today I've noticed that supernova's port has changed).. I have set up the new port and get only rejected shares Sad
There is no AMD miner at the moment. So right now Nvidia users are having a field day  Grin

I sure hope something is released soon, but until then we're "sol" lol

Hey gang, just jumping in here with a question  Cheesy

BT250 with 4 x RX 480 8/GB cards.

Just started using Cast about 4 hours ago.  Its hashing fine, but I am using 18.6.1 latest driver atm. ( IK that may not be best)

I'm getting avg 635 hs with stock intensity etc, But when I enable "Compute mode" (Radeon Settings) and run the software again, my hash rate doubles to around 1280 per card h's total all 4 cards 5,110 h's

But, its also throwing lines and lines of an error message something about calling memory CL etc... I should have wrote it down, but it does still hash at the extremely high doubled hash rate lol

Ok, whats the trick I may be missing here. I am not done tweaking and testing but a quick fix for enabling Compute would help THX  Smiley  Running out of time to mess with it anymore tonight  Grin

Lower the intensity setting.  If cards are OC’d, lower mem clock by 25 and try with default intensity.

Hey thanks, ill take a look at that in the morning  Wink they were not OC'd however.
Ok, got it hashing fine with "Compute" on. Not sure how much this made the difference...but I increased virtual memory from 16000 to 64000. Turned on Compute and all seemed fine, but than within a minute I noticed only 3 of 4 cards were hashing then only 2 ..THEN I get a windows(10) message saying: Windows has blocked the application to the graphics cards...  eventually shutting it down.

So I went ahead and changed the properties of the cast_xmr-Vega exe in the mining folder to "run as administrator" and that seemed to resolve the windows blocking.

In the end I am getting and avg of 705 h's on each 480 now, up from 635 without the "compute". So I'm pretty happy with that. During my attempts to get right I even tried the blockchain drivers but that didn't go to well lol

PS: I am running 18.6.1 drivers again.... and mining V7

EDIT: this is the error. I see others in the thread have had this problem. will try some of the things they checked. And yes I do get 1280 Hs per card when its throwing this error but its hashing lol

NOTICE for GTX 1060 3GB users.

It is very likely Win10 and the new Zhash algo will not be able to work. Something about Win10 using to much memory for itself and not releasing enough for the new algo. Some people are claiming success but most others are not. One rather drastic solution is to revert back to Win7. I am developing a alternative that allows you to keep Win10 intact.

I've been working on a ready to work out of the box Zhasher Micro Linux O/S that will fit on a 4GB or larger USB Flash drive. I am building this to help address the GTX 1060 3GB issue but it will also work on the rest of the Nvidia cards as well. Sorry, AMD is not supported by Zhasher as of yet. Though I hear they are working on it. Whenever that is done, I will release a update. This will enable you to keep your Win 10 install intact. Just pop in the USB and reboot and start mining. You will have to configure a few things on the 1st boot but then after that it should just flat work. I am including a few screen shots of it showing some of the features it has at

http://www.altcap.biz/zhashwin10fix/

There is also a picture from one of the beta testers from discord showing his rig of 6-1060 3GB's running it.

http://www.altcap.biz/zhashwin10fix/1063Working.png

This is a work in progress. I am building it off of a Micro Linux that I have been developing and using for the last year on all my rigs. The whole O/S size is less than 1 Gig so theoretically I'll be able to fit it on a 2GB drive with room to work still. But 4Gb is fine for now.

Ok, So here is the question. Do you think is alright if I set it up to 50% share mining on it for about 15 minutes a day. You and I would split mining shares for the 15 minutes.  The other 23hours 45 minutes are all yours of coarse.  I guess we would kind of call it a dev fee. That would work out to be roughly a 0.5% fee. I would rather do it this way because most pools are PPLNS. I am thinking if you  stop mining on your pool account completely  like most dev fees work, it would be more harmful to your daily earnings.  Rather if you slow down for a period of time while sharing with me would be less harmful as the pool will see you haven't stopped completely. I am asking this before I release it.  If I am getting enough push back on this, I will release it without the fee share. If everyone is OK with it, I will use the fee to further feature enhancement going forward. Some of the thoughts I have are  self monitoring and repair of mining crashing, Have the "option" to activate being able to remote in to the pc via remote desktop, keeping up with new releases, adding other BTCZ miners as they are developed etc. Things like that. So let me have your complete thoughts on this concept.

We would also setup another 15 minutes for the BitcoinZ Community Fund. So they would get a 0.5% donation as well. So your total donation would roughly 1%. Just a reminder, Zhasher is being released with no dev fee.

So check out the pics and let know your thoughts on this.

Overdrive5

P.S. I'll post the current readme file contents in the next post.
Personally I think its fine what you suggest. You have a lot of time invested in development. If its a good and useful product and allows others to make money you should reward yourself a little  Wink

And glad your taking into account the PPLNS factor... that's always been a concern
