can someone compile this miner for windows ?
you will still need to make wallet in linux, as far as i understand. Bittrex will probably be adding it to their exchange soon after launch, so just use Bittrex's wallet? I'll just use suprnova pool to mine and when I get an address will add to it. Ocminer is trustworthy. The miner itself needs an address in the config file ocminer's miner needs just a worker user/pass. I have no windows amd gpu miner That's correct. Just set your payout threshold up high and store coins on pool wallet until a windows wallet is released. Does anyone know if you can actually hash on Suprnova with any GPU miners ? He says in his getting started the Nheqminer is CPU and GPU but???

Ok, so what is the best GPU miner to be using as of this morning lol (for windows)
Nobody knows yet at the moment this is the best miner, but things are changing rapidly. lol ya really. I see all these post of huge sol hashings, yet I am not any where near some of them lol Ok, Ill keep looking and testing THX

Gigabyte 280x with elpida onboard is giving me stable 13.5 sols. I did nothing besides unpacking and launching the miner ))
I have a load of those, is that at 1100/1500 256/8194 ? Which AMD drivers? I only get 9sol with the same card, 15.12 drivers @ 1100/1500, win7 x64, what driver/oc you use? 9.3 here latest drivers

Good morning Bitcoinland. Still creeping up I see... $669 0n Bitcoinaverage. Let's keep this rise nice and steady. No skyrocket and fizzle, just a smooth ramp up. Okay, I realize there's no smooth ramp with Bitcoin but at least we can hope for a less extreme roller coaster. I vote for a smooth ramp up likewise Jimbo. Even though the crazy Bitcoin train is, simply, crazy! I am happy guy if I will find a 1000 dollar price under the Christmas tree this year. Santa can do this for us, don't you think? Just thinking about that has me in the Christmas spirit already and dreams of Nov 2013 dancing in our heads lol we don't ask for much from Santa

One other thing I am wondering on is: Latency, does that have any impact on performance? In my test my initial latency average was around 730ms. I assumed it was tied to connection speeds/pool etc.

gpu 0 = polor Rx 470 4gb gpu 1 = saphire Rx 480 8gb refference gpu 2 = nitro Rx 470 8gb gpu 3 = nitro Rx 470 4gb Are you on stock everything W7 ? Scoring much better than I? and most in here... why would things be so different I wonder...

Ok, final results here:
Averages/sols
380's = 7.6 7950's = 7.5 280x's = 9.30 290's = 9.80 7870 = 5.3 480's (8gb) 11.50 ( the winner)
Previous Test: 390(8gb) = 10.87
7970(3gb) = 8.8
7790 (1gb) = 3.97
like a 5 minute test run of miner. on the various rigs
|
|
|
ok, getting this last test of cards...
390(8gb) = 10.87
7970(3gb) = 8.8
7790 (1gb) = 3.97
sols
thought I mite see more out of the 390. Seen some post higher and some the same or so..
May try a 6870 just for fun, probably have driver issues....
Seems most cards will hash on this miner. I am running on all rigs the latest AMD drivers.
Yet to test 7950's, 380 and 380x, 280x's and 290's and 480's (8gb)
All signs from previous algo's and early testing of Nicehash etc. makes it seem like 390/390x is the fastest, and 470/480 eeking out a slight advantage in Watt/Hash. If you have very cheap power, 290x is a winner on price/hash. My 2 cent Good, cause I am getting ready to test 3 x 290's will report back with the rest of farm in a bit

Any wallets for Windows available yet ?
what? this is a GPU miner thread... plus zcash doesn't even get released till the 28th, AND has already stated there will NOT be windows wallets on launch... please do some research before coming into a thread with useless questions... or for god sake alteast READ the OP... Buy a better fucking attitude.. thnx lol well I guess you got your answer, albeit a little harsh There is a windows miner, but i have nowhere to send the coins. Am i supposed to setup a crappy linux machine for a wallet ? Thats just stupid. Well its all about the timing of launch. They (devs) never intended to have any windows support at launch. By shear luck, we now have a windows gpu miner only. What I did, was to download and install VirtualBox software. Download Ubuntu 16.04 image file. Load up VB and point it to that image and install form VB. Its actually not that hard, just read and feel your way through it. You wont need a lot of additional hard drive space for the partition part of it. Maybe 25 GB or so. Once you have Ubuntu running in VB go to the last link for the wallet adress creation as well as the CPU miner if you wish to solo mine. https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloadshttps://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/guides/how-to-mine-zcash/Also go here for wallet address creations: https://github.com/zcash/zcash/wiki/Mining-Guideok, go for it!

Cool, and Thx. I have no issue with it, just didn't expect win binaries to reside inside a Gz.tar file Yes a bit surprised myself, unusual to see this way. But it works

Would still like someone to roll a Windows x64 build nice and neat. If you provide a download link for a 'click and install' miner that supports multiple AMD GPU without errors I have a BTC0.05 bounty for you.
Dude, I already told you He posted the Windows EXE file in the main link. Unzip and Go.... https://www.dropbox.com/s/yo56dwlqnm0dndh/zcashclient-0.1.0.tar.gz?dl=0Ah, i made the assumption that .tar.gz was linux only since most people don't zip windows files that way. Thx W7 x64 Download WinRAR here: https://ninite.com/winrar/Self installing file, just answer run on download pop up/yes/next etc. Once installed, click on you tar.gz file download - extract to desktop etc... in that directory build you zcash.conf file. Launch miner. Save as zcash.conf server = "coinsforall.io"; port = "6668"; address = "ztVJU6ems9rGgcuGmUuVNeKrSTVr1FQdfFzJwgsMNA5npBGqzaGWcUxR7RnmwEXY8LfjViKjnfHx4Nr 9qgAcw4MG8KMM2D9"; Hope this helps

Late last night I fired the windows version on dual 7970's was getting 8.7 sold per card. Very impressed with this miner. 17.4 sols on that rig.

He posted the windows binaries
Where? in the gz/tar file? Did you extract or unzip the gz file?

Not to worry, EXP will be back up in price soon and stronger. Buy don't sell lol I've seen this cycle before Been mining and selling this coin since the start pretty much, and it has become my "steady eddie" in alts Sure I bounce test other coins here and there, most my hash stays with EXP... its been a great coin and still is
|
|
|
Anytime BTC rises a little and appears to be sustained, most alts free-fall... but your net worth stays about the same in terms of BTC so it would seem
|
|

Man o man, what's happening here to price? thought I mite find something in here on it. Especially now that I am building another 100 MH rig tonight But all coins are flat pretty much atm. We'll see. In the meantime, keep on mining I guess lol
