I've said this before, but there is really nothing we can do about it, other than bitch scream and kick and voice our opinions, unless you have a very large mining farm Shocked

Main thing for me is, in the end I want only one coin. This talk of 2 chains is ridiculous.

segwit nearly at 30% now.
only 30% is not voting for either BU or segwit.
imo we should just HF a new rule that says miners MUST be signaling for either BU or segwit
whoever ends up with >51% == winner
losers just deal with it and fallow suit.

Why do we need a winner? Why does anyone have to follow suit?

Why is voting for the status quo wrong? The people who want the status quo aren't allowed to have an opinion?

If the network was truly divided 51%/49%, wouldn't it be better for everyone if these two sides just went their separate ways instead of having a large minority of pissed off people?

Why should we turn monetary freedom into mob rule?

Alts are flat today  Sad

At least the freefall stopped on BTC, that's encouraging. What's weird "from what I see" BU hash is down yet blocks found by BU are gaining  Huh Its above my pay grade to figure out lol

its the normal variance...
plus the amount of % hash each pool has is constantly changing as other pools bring on more hashing power or individual hashers switch pools.

ya that makes sense I guess but BU blocks found are steadily increasing, just seem strange lol yet the amount of pools using BU hasn't really increased either,,, anyways

thx  Smiley

Moving all that litecoin I accumulated into Bitcoin. Nice rate.

i once own feathercoins.

and then i threw them away.... didnt even bother selling all of them for 12.50$ @ 2cents a pop
Oh ya Feathercoin lol, I did real good back in the day mining them before they changed to the new algo... I mined the crap out of them and caught a really good pump and sold em all that same day. Picked up a quick couple of BTC, of course BTC was maybe 100 bucks lol price never went that high again, and I moved on to other coins  Grin
926  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 25, 2017, 01:57:26 AM
I think a lot of what's being sold, is staying in crypto at least and going into the Alts... somewhat  Grin

There is really a lot of unusual places in Alts to make money during this "hopefully" short Bitcoin crises lol
927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 24, 2017, 11:09:44 PM
Alts almost always do good when BTC struggles as it is right now. But Alts are more up and down than BTC lol

I will say ETH is definitely up and has been steadily climbing for the last 3+ weeks in a nice way. There is a few things happening with smart contracts I think are helping it grow again.

I think BTC is just stalling out from the controversy, which is still on going. But will recover.  Shocked

At the  moment, it doesn't seem BU  has gained any traction, more like losing it,,,,,

Imo it won't gain much more traction as it had.
BU's code if full of bugs and the devs seem to be far from being competent!
But to scare the market it was a really useful toy I have to admit. Some people really shit their pants and sold huge parts of their stack and now act extremely desperate to get in again.
Yes, and it did scare the market... and is not ready for real world adoption. I don't think it will go further than it has, despite the bug fixes and so on. BU may have missed its mark" what ever confidence some had in it has eroded. But its still out there as an option.

1. Illiminate miners all together after all Bitcoin are mined. I know, this will upset the applecart in a big way.

We will still need miners in order to process transaction even after the last coin is mined. Do we not?

Well, Dean did preface that with "there is a way to:...". Will Dean illuminate us with the way to eliminate the miners altogether?

Stay tuned for news at eleven.
Ill be tuning in at eleven for breaking news....  Smiley

At the end of the day, the Chinese Mining farms will put BU into action should they so decide to. Regardless of how we all feel in here either way about it. If they did create the longer chain.... hence, to keep or have just one BTC coin only, do we really have a choice at that point other than to get onboard with it? ... just thinking lol

unless of course some want 2 coins  Huh lol

I also don't think should the worst happen, it will be the end of Bitcoin either  Shocked
934  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 19, 2017, 02:43:01 AM

that's a train!

She'll be comin around the corner when she comes" toot toot lol

You would think after the destruction of Hearn and others who try to become "leaders" people would have learned that is a fool's errand. Satoshi's example wasn't just a cute disappearing trick, it is a fundamental necessity to the security model for decentralised monetary network.

BU has sorted this out too... A Bitcoin ...President Cheesy

https://www.bitcoinunlimited.info/articles

Quote
Article 2: Confederation
...
President: a publicly identified (real-life identity is known) BU Member who is responsible for the ongoing activities of the confederation. The president shall resolve BUIP number conflicts, organize BUIP discussion (in the forum designated by the secretary), and schedule/initiate voting (within the limits specified in these articles).

...you can't make this stuff up. I thought the reddit image might have been tampered or something and went to check myself.

...A president.

...A fucking president.
LOL how ridiculous. Just the thought of that title is funny! what are they all thinking anyways  Roll Eyes

I wonder if they will campaign for office  Grin I want free BTC or BU" each month and free healthcare lol
936  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 19, 2017, 01:54:41 AM
This is the part that boggles me a bit lol with Bitfinex.... or maybe I'm just tired lol  Huh seems redundant or something

If, however, there is a fork, specifically Bitcoin Unlimited, then, as soon as we list Bitcoin Unlimited, we will exchange BCU tokens for Bitcoin Unlimited tokens as well as retiring BCC tokens in favor of Bitcoin Core tokens.
937  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 19, 2017, 01:27:27 AM
We'll watch that chain split coin token on Bitfinex, but I would dare say other exchanges will be offering up split coin tokens as well, should there be an interest. Some may even get clever and find a way to split against an Alt lol

What a perfect wagering game.. BU  Grin
This could get interesting...

938  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 19, 2017, 01:10:25 AM
we'll be back over 1000$ in no time.
Yep! 1k incoming,,,, maybe people are giving up the debate or just willing to get back to normal and let the chips fall where they may with BU... who knows lol
939  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 19, 2017, 01:08:19 AM
Who sold at the bottom?

And bought alts at the top?
lol ya really, but not me!   Grin

I am only guilty of selling ZEC to low early in the day... but still came out nicely for a day, and I'm not done yet lol

And have not sold any BTC...

I'm guilty of not buying DASH..... but I also have no plans to. I just feel butthurt that it rose that much.
Don't feel bad most of us didn't see that one coming... I mean really Dash? who would of thunk?  Cheesy
940  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 19, 2017, 12:45:57 AM
Bitcoin and crypto is one big gambling event anyways... for the most part' generally speaking, so hey why not have a split token, keeps it interesting lol
--and I bet they will be getting bought up too
