I have started two instances for now no major improvement , gtx 1070  Try it on amd!
Well the new silent in 2.3 really wont give you much of a bump over the old one. But what it does do besides being more stable, it allows for older 280x, 7970, 7950's and so on to run now with the dual hash found in silent. so.....

But there is a slight increase in hash with 2.3 for sure and so far no crashing or stall outs all day for me, Finally  Smiley

I found the solution , just remove put instancese for silent army from 2 to 1 and it starts working!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good but are you getting the dual hashing, the bump in performance over the non-silent app?
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480) on: November 02, 2016, 09:17:59 PM
Question - in the beginning I was getting stable 18 Sol/s with rx 480

Does it increase to advertized 45?

No lol, at least not for me. With new 2.3 silent I am getting 26 per card.... but a lot better than 18 was  Smiley 480 8gb

Some may say 45 but? maybe with excessive OC'ing or bios flashing or something lol, but that's stock for me. Im not into burning up my cards  Grin
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480) on: November 02, 2016, 09:13:11 PM
It is the same config file do you understand! It works with first  nonsilentary exe and it is not working with silentarmy exe!

In the new miner 2.3 assuming conf is exactly the same, try deleting the bin files it created in the miner folder. Close folder reboot the PC and try to launch again.

You guys need to post your conf files and let an extra set of eyes look.  Wink

as suggested by ioglnx

@extremal:

Can you please tell me why i just get this with silentarmy version?
I asked and ask but never get answer...

Connecting to frontend: coinsforall.io:6668 ...
ERROR: invalid hostname and/or port.

Getting always this error with all your versions..somehow you never responds to that bug.

As stated 4-5times earlier if i use the zcashgpuclient.exe it works. So something is wrong with the parsing..or do i need to enter something different?
Sounds like a conf file have you checked it carefully or changed anything in it? 1 space off will mess ya up lol

server = "coinsforall.io";port = "6668";# Your ZCASH payout addressaddress = "t1xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx";#  etc.

I don't think its a bug.... if it were, more of us using W7 64 and 8 (yuk) would be seeing same issue

I finally feel like my life is returning to normal! lol  Grin

I got 2 more payments back to back, all my miners are running stable with the new kernel, the pool is really coming to life AND we are finding blocks!

Lets kick some ass now on this pool and mine some zca$h  Wink

What a stressful last 10 days.... learning and installing all that virtualbox, Ubuntu.... and now I don't use it lol

Life is good  Smiley

Thank you for all your hard work eXtremal! and being patient with all of us as well.

Have you looked in your device manager to be sure both cards are showing under display tab? and if so, check the driver dates etc.  I'm sure you have, but just throwing it out there.

You may want to reinstall drivers. Also delete the "bin" files created in the miner, close it and reboot your pc and try to launch again. I run both of those cards but on different rigs... no issues with the 16.10 drivers  Wink

With this amount of blocks/day you need check balance on a more big time interval.

Thanks eXtremal, ill wait it out and see what it produces over a 24hr period, also Removing the # fixed the problem with my config file  Wink
Ok which # one do I remove? No matter which one I remove, miner wont start ? lol LOOK

You can give this machine a custom name# Computer name is used as default# name = "MinerFX";# Platform:

1st, 2nd or 3rd # in the line?

ok so i guess it's reading like # name = "MinerFX";# Platform:
when it should read  name = "MinerFX";# Platform:

does that make sense? Huh Huh

Hey Got it! lol I was trying to compensate a space for the removed # which it did not need.

Ok, thx for the help!  Smiley and yes what you posted made sense  Wink just one of those things

eXtremal.

I have 2 rigs with the same name "Miner" I only see one on my address. That one is the one with 3 cards and shows 6 gpus for that rig now that I am using the new silent. OK, how or why can I not see the other miner or its sol hash with the same name. It has 2 gpu's and should show on pool with 4 gpu's running the new silent also.

Also for the only miner rig, its sol rate is accurate and does not include the 2nd pc named "Miner" sol hash

ok any suggestions?  lol
Change worker name Smiley

Hey I have tried that by replacing the "worker_name" with "7" yet it still wants to pick up the computer name.

Am I doing something wrong? lol

Also when I run both miners with the same name it kicks out the first one I have running and does not show its GPU count and my sol rate drops accordingly... really strange

What am I doing wrong in changing the name in .conf file? anyone? probably something silly I am not seeing  Embarrassed

I also have this problem  Undecided
will post my config file in a sec, hopefully we can get it sorted.
Ya if you figure it out post a snippet of what it looks like!  Grin

is my account "frozen"?

My last payout was this early morning 1:18, my ~150 Sol RIG is up and was/is mining all the time.
But I always can see "Balance 0 ZCASH" since then?
Anyone else?
I show zero also, but we have not hit a block in the last 69. So I am waiting to see when we hit one if my balance will change accordingly. ?

Still need to know what I am doing wrong in changing worker name in .conf lol

eXtremal,

We need real time stats soon on pool page  Smiley and are you still doing manual payouts or are they auto yet? I assume manual.

THX

I know your very busy  Wink
You can request manual payout at any time.
Stats updating time is 1 minute, not realtime, but not so bad Smiley
Oh ok, thx. Ill probably leave set at .005 if on auto then  Wink

EDIT: On the stats page it still shows the same miners from yesterday and the same hash/power rate tooo, has not changed in 24 hours. That's why I was asking about real time stats? I do not see the new miners I have pointed to the pool with the release of 2.3 so?

2.3 update:

So far its running good on my 7950's, 280x/7970's has pretty much doubled hash on all. No crashes or hangs on those rigs yet. (note all these rigs are using the latest AMD drivers)  Smiley

Note: A good system reboot is a good idea first  Wink

Will try on newer cards soon. Although I don't expect to see a performance change from 2.0 silent. but will see.

EDIT: It did not work on my catch all rig with 7790's and a 7870. (which these do work with the non-silent app)

Just no payout now in 12 hours or so? getting concerned.

Approx how long between request payout and paid?
Idk, but I haven't had a payment in probably almost 10 or so hours.... thats the longest ever between. I'm getting anxious  Undecided
