Pool down for maintenance? What happenned?

2nd.
Ya I experienced that on a test stratum miner, noticed it about 10 mins ago. I have not tried the other connection to non stratum. But late here I'll get back on it in the morning lol

eXtremal may have shut down the stratum server temporarily to upgrade the stats side? ok... just wishful thinking  Smiley
1102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480) on: November 05, 2016, 04:15:05 AM
Miners need to get stingy with there coins and turn this price back around. I really believe ZEC should and can be pushed back up well over 1.00 BTC  Wink Nice short term goal anyways lol
1103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480) on: November 05, 2016, 03:38:15 AM
works

but no speed on pool
http://coinsforall.io/#!/coin/ZCASH/wallet/t1NukM2hFYLj7LD8uETr7DYw6JGNnuLgSES
0.00sol
 Sad
Stratum miners don't send additional statistic as native miner.
Sols rate can be calculated using shares/sec value, I'll implement 'calculated' speed later.

Quote
43,5sols/s
Already 48sols/s... after 15 minutes working.
Ok,, finally getting a chance to try out stratum.

So far miner seems to be producing the same rate on Claymore as I got earlier testing it on another stratum pool.  40+ on an old 7970.

I think in another post you basically are saying that the pool via server side, is not reporting stats back to the assigned miner... (all zeros sols etc.) and that the shares are in fact being accounted for and its safe to trust the hash rate displayed in claymores miner, so we know we are hashing and basically the share rate  Grin lol k,

This only until you update the server side to report those stats back to pool....

Note: I do see my miner in the pool though, just with no stats...

Working good so far! stratum

Stratum support for pool coinsforall.io added in experimental mode. Port number is 3357

Examples:

nicehash cpu miner: nheqminer_cpu -l coinsforall.io:3357 -u t1ekR4ngkssfMEVRWWErPemdPPLXuALtsWB.cpu1
standalone silentarmy miner: ./silentarmy -c stratum+tcp://coinsforall.io:3357 -u t1ekR4ngkssfMEVRWWErPemdPPLXuALtsWB.cpu1 --use=0,1,2,3
COOL! going to dinner, as soon as I get back I will test  Wink

eXtremal, hurry with that stratum support lol, just tested Claymore... getting 40+ sols on an old 7970 (80+ for the pair) that's up from 24 sols  Shocked

Don't worry I am loyal to your pool but this is huge  Wink

Do you know anything about trojan.wisdomeyes?  Huh
I don't know But I know that old opensource cgminer 3.7.2 detects by almost all antivirus soft as malware Smiley
Used that old cgminer a lot lol, ok thank you for the comment  Wink
1107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480) on: November 04, 2016, 08:30:25 PM
Well, looks like this miner has some competition. Claymore just came out with one. Can it be used on this pool?
Be careful what you wish for, Claymore usually sticks a rip off fee of 5% built into his mining software's. Anyone using his software should not complain about pool fees here or anywhere. ( not saying you are  Smiley )

Now with that said, maybe he is in an early Christmas spirit and wrote a miner with zero fee's?, as I have not checked Claymores out yet. Highly unlikely though.  Wink

EDIT: Ok just looked at it, wow its lower than 5% lol  Only 2.5%  Grin

but there is currently a developer fee set at 2.5%

Just Scanned Claymore with Virus Total and as always with Claymore there is a few things but mainly this  (Win32.Trojan.WisdomEyes.16070401.9500.9949) its 1 of 3 Items found.

eXtremal, Do you know anything about trojan.wisdomeyes?  Huh

Silentarmy rocks. Left this 4% pool behind. It was a great stop gap. Getting many more sol/s with v3.
It was 2.5% (calculator on site not working), since 5Nov 2016 fee will be 1% same as other pools.
good news on the stratum support and fee's  Smiley

Just adding my results. Ubuntu 16.04, amdgpu-pro, 0.2.4 silentarmy.

Sapphire R9 380 - sols = 29
Sapphire R9 390 - sols = 38
Sapphire R9 390x - sols = 42

Not to shabby  Wink

Seems there is better results mining on Ubuntu using silent army than W7... hmmm

Looks like mining at a pool is paying 30% more then nicehash.  whattomine.com
Oh ya this pool much better than Nicehash's sorry excuse for a pool  Grin

I would have expected a lot more from them than what they had to offer.... they still run a good rental business though lol
1111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480) on: November 03, 2016, 04:43:55 PM
FYI:

I fired W10 with dual 7970's and yep it closes out as soon as it connects to the pool. (2.3)

Its probably looking for some different library or dll that is not found in W10.

I tried all the most probable fixes and still no luck. It just wont run on 10 as it stands.

As most know, non-silent app does run fine, and ya instead of 44 hashes for both cards I get 26. sols, not the end of the world...  Wink

I say live with until a fix is issued OR go find a cheap hard drive and borrow a friends W7 disk and get it going that way   Smiley

Well it was me fighting with OldManKidd who kicks and bans 1 day without any reason and misusing his rights as mod..moron mod frustated and just let it go on me and others ..many ppl complained already
Ya I know, I read some of your last post there and saw you we're actually taking up for someone else that had got banned. I think he takes pleasure in banning people lol ...  OldManKidd

I found the solution , just remove put instancese for silent army from 2 to 1 and it starts working!!!!!!!!!!!!!

unbelivable! Thank you! that helped! Got 0.2.3 working now Smiley

Which error you got before? The can't connect?
Hey GM ioglnx, was that you I saw getting the Banhammer last night for a day over on Poli  Grin sure looked like you  Grin small world perhaps...... or mistaken identity

Can you please fix the zcashgpuclient_silentarmy.exe bug?
It keeps crashing on WIN 10 (64bit) RX470/480.

Rawbert,

do you really think shouting in BIG RED LETTERS is going to inspire eXtremal to stop working on getting payouts straightened around for everyone, or finish working on the pool, or further development of the miner itself? I highly doubt it. Out of thousands of people mining this coin, I bet only a very small fraction are doing it on W10. New miners perhaps are cause they haven't learned a lesson yet about mining with W10.

Anyways, Mine what you can with what works right now. Weather or not eXtremal decides to prioritize time for fixes for W10, God only knows? But shouting will more than likely turn him off about even looking at it.

Plus you may get banned by theymos for spamming the thread..... you probably are already in his sights. So please relax and go with the flow here.  Wink

I wonder if that "bug" if a bug, is present in all mining apps that use it (silent),,, like genoil 5.0, have you tried that on a pool like Suprnova to see if it still crashed then? ok, just a thought... process of elimination lol

@MinermanNC I have to run zogminer silentarmy on WIN 10 and it works great, but i would rother use @eXtremal miner instead.

I'm half tempted to fire a W10 miner just to see what the hec its doing... But I highly recommend to never ever use W10 for any type of mining. I made that mistake on 2 miners,,, just to see, and went back and slapped W7 back in them for a host of reasons.

Matter of fact if you have the means to do it, I would put windows 7 on a separate partition or dual boot with another hard drive all together or something just for mining. Most miners do not use 10 at all on a mining rig. Updates on 10 are a huge inconvenience, unless you have 10 pro.

I'm sure in time eXtremal will develop something or someone will for 10 with silent, but for now?  Huh

I'm failing super hard here. Can anyone please provide me with the directory to my Z Address wallet.dat file in Linux? Much thanks!
Also remember when in your home file folder, to hit ( CTL + H ) to see the .zcash folder as it is hidden. I'm not in my Ubuntu right now, so not sure where its hiding....  Wink your wallet.dat

Hey that's great. As far as I know you can use any T address so long as they were created in your wallet you want to use to receive payment. You know you could always use an exchange wallet address for mining payouts. Thats what I did ultimately  Wink Just easier at this stage in the game
1119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480) on: November 02, 2016, 09:54:17 PM
... sorry I forgot to add my system info:

S.O.: Ubuntu 16.04 Headless
Driver: Amd Pro Drivers 16.40
GPU: Rx480

With 0.2.2 I don have any problem, but with 0.2.3 I can't start the miner, the message is
Code:
"This address is not valid ZCash T-address: ..."

I tried both options, the binaries provided and also I compiled the sources from github, but I get the same error...

Any ideas? Huh Sad
Have to ask, you are using a "t" address correct? not "Z" ?

So sorry!!!!! ... I'm stupid!!!.... I'm using a Z address instead a T address... but I used a Z address in previous miner... uhmmm some questions...

1.- Why now I need to use a T address?... like a I said I used a Z address in previous version.
2.- How I can see my T address with zcash-cli?
3.- Then I suppouse I need to send my wallet.dat and Z-address to extremal for transfer all my zcash to my T address... correct?

Thank you very very much, and sorry to all for these noobie questions Wink
There was issues with the wallet itself when using Z address for mining/payouts. That's all I know. As far as a T address There is a command to create one, if you have not already from within the wallet on Ubuntu. If you have created a T address then use that command to see it.. Ill have to look for it myself because I jumped off Ubuntu for Windows mining  Grin

Something like this to create lol

$ ./src/zcash-cli getnewaddress
