Of course, so finally we don't need an auction. Only ask everyone how many stakes he want to buy and what price he want to pay. I want to buy more stakes for less money?  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

Dev asked for possible resolution for the auction controversy, I provided one that I feel is the fairest.
If you disagree, present your own solution.

What is current price for 1 stake in BTC  Huh
Around 2.5 BTC

An example for the second case, because it's a little more complicated.
Lets say that someone would have won two lots, 5 and 10, for 0.6 and 1.2. Thats  1.8 BTC total, but he was outbid with lot 5, and won lot 10 for 1.6 BTC in the overtime.

Without overtime he would have won 15 stakes, for 0.08 BTC per stake. With overtime he won 10 stakes for 0.16 per stake. You could give him 20 stakes for his money.

So essentially he would need to pay the same money he bid, but he would get stakes based on how much a stake would've cost his without overtime.

If his winning bid was less then what he would have paid without overtime, then do the above, plus offer him additional stakes to buy at that price.

Here are my two ... Nodes.
The overtime effected the various bidders negatively two different ways.
Those who lost because they were outbid in the overtime.
Those who won, because they also bid overtime, but would have won other lots and/or at a different price without it.

I think the most fair resolution would be allowing ppl from the first category to buy a lot that they would've won if no overtime for the price they bid.
As for the ppl who paid higher then otherwise would have, or got less stake, they could be compensated with more stakes for their money.

You would need to assemble a list without the overtime and compare them, it shouldn't be too hard.

Devs , give everyone on the auction list chance to buy a stake
I'm afraid it's not that simple. It's not just about the chance, but the stake amount, and the price.

How can we start making this scammer's life a living hell, legally speaking?

I don't live in the US but I wouldn't mind go there and kick his ass during the next rally.

My real problem is with Cassie to be honest. She took my investment when she were already fully aware of the problem with Justin. I invested (the second time) 0.75 BTC into the site that Justin said will be launched next day. Not in development, done. I even posted about this before investing.
Cassie sent a PM with Bitcoin address a few hours later. She did it this way, because she knew already that Justin scammed her. She knew she will not be able do deliver, yet she continued to collect money for a site supposed to be launched in days, without saying a word.
She sent out (probably not just to me) PMs to people who said wanted shares then presumable after they paid, she annonced that the site fall through.
Now that is the definition of scam.

koop4u themself stated that the timer was overrun. Any big after 161 should not count. As others stated, people timed this, and was counting on sniping. This is the reason I was insistent on a precise time for auction end.

I was in the shower when time come to bid, because forgot about it. But I set an alarm for 23:50, so I can bid.
But to be honest, I was sure this is gonna happen, when new bids come in over time, this is why I continued to bid.

I can live with this outcome, but to be honest, I'm not too happy, because it's not the most fair outcome.

BTW, devs, if you are about to launch anyway, would you accept escrow for the auction payments?
We pay it into escrow, you get it after launch. It would make me feel better for sure.
I'm willing to pay the escrow fee.

please my bid is before times ends .. fix it ... remove bids after times ends ..
That would be the right thing, as was stated that the timer matters (not the betting system).
But we will see if self interest wins. Smiley

rownumber>=162 must be removed?
It should be.

It's funny. I'm getting the same amount of stake by accident either way, the question is for how much.

after ...
yep, there were some bets after timer ended.

final bet was at 6/9/2014 22:56:24, thats 3:36min before the countdown ended
Countdown was till 22:55, not 23:00.

Looking in history, June 3, 7am CET it was. Just 6am UTC. Txs were below 10 per hour  these hours, i was looking for NEMstake price in NXT wallet and i noticed this number. However we are a bit off topic.
You should sleep in. Smiley
Did you compair the other networks traffics at that time? Because I'm pretty sure that is the slowest time of the day in every cypto. It's beer run time on Bitcoin exchanges.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: June 09, 2014, 07:25:43 AM
When you forging a block, you obtain 1 NSC (6775372232354238105) asset in AE, its value at this moment is 11 NXT, so you can add this value per block.
That's true, the forging calculator should include NSC.
It would be fairly simple to get the current price of NSC and add it to the calculations.
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: June 09, 2014, 06:42:01 AM
Simply put, you will not make decent money forging, it's not what it's for.

I'd like to counter-balance your statement a bit - won't make decent money forging at this point.
...

That is all true, but as transaction number increases, fee will be lowered. Fee will be 0.1 very soon.
I'm the first to encourage anyone and everyone to invest in Nxt, but doing it purly for forging profit is a recipe for disappointment. Classic miners mentality won't work in Nxt.

edit: I made a post about the forging for network security yersterday, I think it's also relevant here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=639819.msg7192186#msg7192186
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: June 09, 2014, 06:10:13 AM
*Forgive me if this is a silly question, im new here*

I have 50 NXT coins, and have been forging for 3 or 4 days.
Am i essentially wasting my time forging with such a little balance?

I would like to have a steady stream of coins into my balance.
Whats the best way to accomplish that goal?

Thank you in advance

Are you serious? 50 NXT forging for 3 or 4 days? I dont think it is worth to forge because the power fee is more expensive than 50 NXT.
If you really want to forge, I would suggest buy more NXT than 100,000

So if i had 100k NXT, how much would a weeks worth of forging yield?

Sounds like you're already doing it ^ lol
yep. Well, some. Had one originally, bought 2 more, one more max at around 14000.
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEM] NEM -New Economy Movement - No Envy Movement - Updates+Discussion thread on: June 09, 2014, 06:00:54 AM
Some people on the asset exchange have upwards of 12 stakes.  I saw multiple accounts with over 10 just scanning through. Some big holders are beginning to form.

This is to be expected on the NXT AE, but I think it's only possible to claim 2 stakes once NEM is officially launched to avoid such hoarding.

Can someone who's more well informed verify that this is in fact the case.  Thanks in advance and dev's keep up the great work!

I recall seeing that to, and also wondered what the fate of such accounts would be and reasoned one of two things:

1) They will need to dump down to two and the days leading up to cashing in there will be a glut and a price drop (don't expect this as #2)
2) They will shuffle the counts around in 2 pair chunks to other accounts.

Are we doing taint analysis? This isn't necessarily against the rules is it? You'd need to do the same analysis on the stake holder sheet.

It's pretty pointless to even try to enforce the 2 stake rule, or even having it.
If only 2 stakes per account is allowed, people will simply transfer assets to another account before cashing it in.
If this is monitored, and forbidden, people will transfer nxt to another account and buy from different accounts. If Nxt movement is checked to prevent this, people will fund Nxt accounts from exchange, and use those to buy stakes.

The 2 stakes rule is incredibly easy to game, and very hard and time consuming (impossible actually) to enforce, therefore, pointless.

Please give us an exact time when this auction ends.

We need a countdown, because we are in different timezones.
I think it was asked about four different time to provide a time when the auction ends, so far no reply. I'm not bidding any more until I get one.
