My gullible friend believed these harlequins and bought Lisk at 85k, he lost last 23btc  Cheesy he waited first dapps in Q2 2016.  Wink  Be careful. Smiley
That's trading for you. When someone is selling someone is buying.
It's not that he was deceived it was that he wasn't well informed. I, and anyone who is an active members of the community, and by active I don't mean actively whining about everything under the sun, but those who actually do stuff or at least follow what is happening other than the price movement could have told your friend as early as the original date of the mainnet launch that dapps won't be happening in Q2 2016.

is there an how to? i want to run a node on one of my raspis. just for fun. i won't be looking for votes. thanks for the links.
I too would suggest setting up a testnet node instead of main net if you just want to experience it. If your delegate is standby not much is happening, so it's better to set one up on testnet because you just have to go on chat and asked to be voted up and presto, you are an active delegate.

Also keep in mind that Lisk should run on a Raspberry Pi (2-3?) just fine, but much depends on your internet connection. If you are experiencing problems it's most likely because your lag is too great.
If you need any help, lisk chat is a great place for it.

Let's compare them (no guarantee, please check facts yourself!):
But... but... but... I wanted him to do the work at least once in his life on BCT!

Joking aside, thanks for the post. It's a bit interesting how there were about zero negative mentions about the inflation rate (just the opposite as a matter of fact) for about 11 months and 1700 pages, and recently it's endless whining about it all coming from the same direction, from people pro pool delegates, only superficial knowledge of the Lisk core community (see them saying over and over who you and Oliver just voting up your friends), not doing proper research, immune to reasoning.
It's tiresome.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: January 08, 2017, 10:16:51 PM
Why you so stupid and not understand elementary things?
The irony is strong in you.
Okay, whatever. You can't convince stupid, and I don't need to.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: January 08, 2017, 10:04:55 PM
Ok, compare the inflation of lisk with Ethereum:
The maximum amount of ETH will be 103 862 556 ETH year 5189!!!
and  159 918 400 LSK year 2025
Are you trolling me or are you really utterly incapable of proper research and data processing?

First of all the number of coins are meaningless. The only thing matters is inflation percentages.
How about you take a look at that? But please don't do it the way you usually do, but do it right instead and compare first, second, etc yeasr for both coins not as lisk now and as etherum now.

Also who cares how much ETH or Lisk will be in 5189? Are you serious? This is crpyto nobody cares about anything else than what will happen next week.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: January 08, 2017, 09:36:22 PM
Sorry, my bad. I'm counting from launching of network.
But in fact Ethereum it's also not a good coin. Very spequlating coin with big whales.
On that we agree. But I think this is pretty much true to every single crypto coin in the past and today. I think it will be some years before something other than speculation moves the price of a crypto coin or a project.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: January 08, 2017, 09:32:47 PM
And don't you dare compare this lisk with Ethereum.
I didn't. The only other time I mentioned Ethereum in this thread when I compared the inflation rate after the increadible amount of whining about how high lisk inflation is.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: January 08, 2017, 09:20:02 PM
But ETH price 1 111 000 sat, Lisk price 16 000 sat. why?
If the Lisk price will grow to 60-70k and stabilized to 50k in the near future then people maybe will trust your stories. Prove it with real actions and active work.  Cool
What was the price of ETH nine months after their ICO?

Above 1.1 dollar. It means x2.2 higher then ICO.
LISK ICO price was 17 thousands satoshi. And few weeks ago it was around 13 k satoshi.
I know almost nothing of ethereum yet it took me 3 minutes to fact check that you are wrong. Again.
Ethereum wasn't even launched yet 9 months after their ICO ended.

Lisk really does not work...
Show proof?
Wouldn't it be easier to just check it yourself, raither than asking for proof?
Yes, the blockshain hasn't moved in the last 2+ hours. It seems that a bad transaction was included that halted the chain.
Solution is being worked on as we speak.
If you make the claim, you have to show proof. This is how the internet works Tongue so much fud going on in this topic.
I agree that his comment were totally useless without a proper explanation about what's happening, and you can't even believe some people here when they are asking a question.
But I know you are smarter than him and you are also a regular, so you know that he is not someone who is well informed or quick to respond. So questioning him instead of checking is almost as useless as his original less then helpfull statement.

Or maybe I'm just cranky today, ignore me. Smiley

Have you guys considered making a pact among your team to put aside like 10% of the Lisk forging rewards that each delegate makes towards Ark? You guys could be the first crypto to have an outside revenue source before you even begin, how cool would that be? Smiley
We are trying to make ARK as independent and well funded as possible. I'd raither not rely on members continusly funding the project if there are other methods, so I don't think members will be asked to pitch in nor will be making such outside agreements. (At least it's very unlikely at this time)

Instead we came up with several independent funding ideas.
One I mentioned is loaning out TEC backend with or without escrow services.
The other major one would be ArkShield, that'll hold 7% of all ARK at distribution. As far as I remember nobody every asked here what it ArkShield and what is it for, but basically it will be a professionaly managed fund with the goal to provide long term growth to the ARK Platform, form partnetships, diversify assets, invest and overall help ARKs with future funding.

That's all I can tell you about our plans for now, but let's just say we are not sitting idle, we are determined to see ARK succeed.

93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔹🅰RK🔹[ANN][ARK] A Platform for Consumer Adoption with SmartBridge🔹 on: January 07, 2017, 11:25:53 AM
Why are ARK TEC funds being used for ARK crew personal gain. Why can't they be used to up vote an ARK TEC Delegate for Lisk forging?

An ARK delegate with all forged Lisk reinvested in furthering ARK! Developers, marketing, smartbridging.. you name it.

Better that than lining individual's pockets.
Down with the Raiders of the Lost ARK!
Okay, let's try this from a different angle.
ARK doesn't have the funds to vote up delegates. Currently the minimum entry into 101 is 7m lisk, ARK hold 4.7m not even close to make any delegate active if that delegate doesn't already have a lot of votes.
And if an individual delegate already have millions in weight that is because they have been working on gaining in for months now, most 8-10 months. Do you think any of these individual would be willing to say, "I give up" just use my gathered weight to fund ARK. I don't think so. (Especially as the real situation is much more complex, most of those delegates would have a chance to get into 101 sooner or later without ARKs vote, it is just speeds up the process.)

So ARK delegates in Lisk are not happening. Period.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔹🅰RK🔹[ANN][ARK] A Platform for Consumer Adoption with SmartBridge🔹 on: January 07, 2017, 11:16:09 AM
look, bitbansky, all this outrage about ARK voting with Lisk and GDTs general existence would be must genuine if you wouldn't have been trying to gather votes in lisk (with a very weak and short term strategy) in the last month or two, while also trying to get into GDT multiple times.

Now what you failed to manage both you are angry with us because we succeeded? That's a bit hypocritical.

You are also acting like GDT is some kind of shadow organisation, when you just today linked the announcement to our existence. I also wrote a detailed history of GDT and ARK not long ago here.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔹🅰RK🔹[ANN][ARK] A Platform for Consumer Adoption with SmartBridge🔹 on: January 07, 2017, 11:12:13 AM
I'm saying that ensuring the success of the ARK project should be the priority rather than using ARK TEC funds for personal gain.

And it is a valid point and thats our goal. But this is something while true, benefits ARK members is doesn't disadvantage ARK itself.
Yes it is a benefit for us. But please keep in mind, that most of us won't be getting a salary from ARK (only a few key people), to preserve ARK funds as much as possible.
We also have several plans about not only the second round of fundrasing but other revenue sources as well. (For example loaning out our TEC backend and/or acting as escrow.)
So ARK is being taken care of, it is a priority.

As for funding ARK with forged lisk. While that idea is not without merrit it doesn't sound right to me. What kind of project funds itself from a system that they forked?

And most importantly, we as individuals in ARK has been and still are in Lisk, part of the lisk community and very much indent to be active delegates, we've been ready for it since april.

Thats his opinion. I don't know if you are noticed but canna is not always that carefully with his wording...
But at least this was a halfway decent fact based argument from you.

To sum up: 30 ex-liskers have found a way to get paid while setting up a copycat...
First we are not ex-liskers. If you were a real lisker not just an ass kisser you would know this, and know us.
Second you are saying this as an accusation when I'm in fact very pride of it. Yes we found a good way to achieve multiple goals. Launch and fund a new project, develop it years to come, while strengthening our lisk weight. Because you know, most Lisk delegates have to do that, (and been doing that for almost a year now) if they want to became delegates. But you wouldn't know as without max and olivers vote you have 1.5% approval.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔹🅰RK🔹[ANN][ARK] A Platform for Consumer Adoption with SmartBridge🔹 on: January 07, 2017, 10:37:47 AM
How will the forged LSK be used? Toward the development of ARK? Will the community have a say or power to decide how the ICO funds will be used in the future?
No, forged lisk won't be used toward the development of ARK.
No, the community will not have a say on how ICO funds will be used in the future. As soon as they donated any amount it became ARKs money (given that TEC terms are fullfiled meaning main net launch)  to do with it as we see fit.
This project is community driven but not community directed (same for any other project for that matter, including Lisk). Coin holders have no rights to decide on any financial or development decision being made, no matter how they got their coin at TEC or at the exchanges later.

The community is very important for any project of course, and for us as well. We plan to be open with them, use the gathered funds to the best of our abilities to develop ARK, we will hear suggestions and listen to valid critisism. But the decision making are ultimately up to the governing body of ARK.

This is basic crpyto, why is this a question?

99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔹🅰RK🔹[ANN][ARK] A Platform for Consumer Adoption with SmartBridge🔹 on: January 07, 2017, 08:09:37 AM
Okay, now I had enough of you.
Dear BitBanksy you should stick to brown nosing that's where your talents lie, not in fact finding and data analysis.

First of all, Mal launched the global delegate group, not you
He didn't stay he launched it he said he first came up with the idea of a group trading votes. This is fact, it's there in the early lisk thread.

right know that group is mainly composed of bag holders using their big stacks to bully their way into the top forging slots. With the exception of few trustworthy members who genuinely stick to the original plan, most members (you included) forge & dump 12k a month. Your are currently forging only and solely for profit.
First of all the bagholder claim is a blatant lie, you are either guessing, very badly, or having bad information and you should talk to your source. Around 2/3 of GDT members have no signficant weight to speak of and that's after we included some larger holders out of necessity as another group were forming who didn't care about reponsibly running delegates just including big wallet members and vote swapping. But if you claim that we are mostly large holders who controling the system, then you are vey wrong. We are the ones who blocked about 20 whales to take over the delegate system running multiple delegates.

Second of all, your claim of forging and dumping is again just that a claim. It's a freaking blockchain go and check. Very little has been dumped (again more dumped by those delegates who are not in our group thus not following our guidlines than those that are members), and even that should lessen, if someone in the group consistently dumps he may very well not be part of the group for long.

Overall you know very little of the delegate system other then knowing how to write pretty proposals that is appealing to the largest holders there is to vote you in for it.

Second: you once told me you owned 300K... you were either exaggerating or lying (either way it's not surprising from a guy like you). Unfortunately I deleted the DM that proves this point.
How convenient. You were not around long enough to cannabanana have chats with you, he was quite busy in the last few months.

Was it not mentioned that ARK would never use its fund for personal profit? Would it be more ethical if ARK use its fund toward the development of ARK only and not to back up few Lisk delegates for personal advantage?
Voting with lisk hasn't diminishes the amount of that lisk (other than transaction fees of course), so ARK is not affected. And we most certainly didn't promise that we won't use if to vote, quite the opposite, we very much intended to do so and will do so. That you didn't know that is your problem, again you are not as well informed in the intricacies of Lisk politics as you would like to believe. Those who matter knew, including max.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔹🅰RK🔹[ANN][ARK] A Platform for Consumer Adoption with SmartBridge🔹 on: January 06, 2017, 06:00:51 PM
Back to the topic.
You're right, it does not matter to me. Or is it? It is a point of interest to me - fact.
Either you are transparent or not. Where is the problem?
It's not a problem that you are asking. Although transparency is a buzzword that I care little about. Did we promise that? I can't remember, doubt it. Regardless we are not trying to hide anything of course, so questions are welcome as long as they are reasonable.

You didn't really ask about the Lisk voting, more like commented on it, my "none of your business" was an answer to releated to that.

bitseedmike told me you have a budget of USD 40,000 per month. Now I take a look into your BTC wallet - and before today, I have not read anything about a second funding round (Website, OP, Roadmap, Whitepaper...) - so I wonder and ask how? This is a totally normal question.

After it became apparent that we won't get an optimal amount of funding we adapted plans accordingly. Not sure about the budget, it will certainly be adjusted, but I don't think it will be 40k per month. Mike or someone else may tell you more about it, bust most likely at a later date.

About second funding round. Our plans for if the TEC doesn't reach minimum threashold wasn't detailed initially in the whiteapaper, but info about the optional refund and later use of those leftover funds were all over this thread and blog, slack, etc for weeks.

In short. The coin distribution were determined as it was the 2000 BTC threashold were reached, but as it wasn't this left over a respectable amount of ARK tokens along with the amounts that those who ask for refunds would have reveived. This ARK will be in a special fund and will be used to raise additional capital at a later date.
