723  Economy / Auctions / Re: KNC pre-order batch 1-500 order #61 on: June 06, 2013, 12:29:07 PM
Hi everyone.

I just move this topic, because there is a crazy amount of offers and I can't keep up with the PMs.
The highest offer right now is 4.6 BTC.
Please place your bids in this topic. The auction ends in half an hour, at 13:00 PM

Thank you.

724  Economy / Auctions / Re: KNC pre-order spot - low 1-500 first batch on: June 06, 2013, 09:56:41 AM
Three hours to go.
The highest offer right now is 3 BTC.

Please note, that #61 means that this order will be amongst the first one shipped out. We don't know how many will be shipped per week. In the last newsletter KNC wrote that they'll be able to "ship hundreds of devices a week".
725  Economy / Auctions / Re: KNC pre-order spot - low 1-500 first batch on: June 06, 2013, 12:11:12 AM
Thank you everyone for the interest. I tried to answer every inquiry as fast as possible. Now I'm gonna get some sleep. Until tomorrow a few answers to questions that's been asked repeatedly:

Yes, this is a "Golden Ticket", from 1-500 batch. I placed the pre-order just hours after KNCminer announced on the forum their plan to built a miner.

I confirmed with Sam that the queue place is valid, and transferable.

This placement practically guarantees one of the first machines shipped.
If KNC ships a few hundred machines per week as they stated in the last newsletter, this order number should have a huge advantage over even a queue number in the middle-high hundreds.

Right now the highest offer is 2.1 BTC. No more 1 BTC offers please, I got six so far. Smiley

If you have any question or offer, PM me.
726  Economy / Goods / Re: Sell preordes from KNC 4* & 1** on: June 05, 2013, 11:02:02 PM
titomane, even if you believe you are right, you should try to confirm.
I'm pretty sure they originally misunderstood your question, and believed that you're talking about pre-orders.

From the last newsletter:
Quote
The order books are now open for the first time allowing full ordering and payment of the Jupiter and Saturn devices.
This is when you got your order numbers. But:

Quote
Everyone already has their place in the queue so we are giving everyone 7 days to pay and maintain that place. ... Once the 7 days are over we will provide everyone with their final shipping queue placement.

I have two very low numbers (#30  #61) from the 1-500 batch pre-orders, from the same day they announced KNCminer on the forum.

I even wrote them Sam who confirmed that I have both numbers in the queue and can transfer the second one to someone. (I'm in a process of selling #61 - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=226069.0 )

Both my and your numbers in the queue can't be maintained, so one of us was misinformed.
727  Economy / Goods / Re: Sell preordes from KNC 4* & 1** on: June 05, 2013, 07:48:36 PM
They stated in the last newsletter that the order will be based on the preorder queue. If someone has a preorder number and pays this week, they maintain there place in the queue.

after 7 days, they will toss out all the pre-regs that didn't pay
As of this morning I was the 1085th who payed, so I wouldn't expect too many open slots, or even unclaimed pre-reg spots.
729  Economy / Auctions / Re: KNC pre-order spot - low 1-500 first batch on: June 05, 2013, 04:55:27 PM
There were quite a bit of interest so far, thank you.

As practically everyone asked, let me clarify.
I'll take offers till tomorrow 1 PM (forum time, GMT-1 if I'm not mistaken), then I'll contact the highest bidder.

I don't want to wait too much longer to reach an agreement, because I want to be sure, that there is time for KNC to transfer my pre-order slot, and the new owner to place there order for the rig.
730  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KNCMiner Sell order# on: June 05, 2013, 03:55:35 PM
I have an extra slot for sale, really low number:

Order ID: 61
KNC Bitcoin miner numbers 1-500
Quantity: 1

731  Economy / Auctions / KNC pre-order batch 1-500 order #61 on: June 05, 2013, 01:00:05 PM
Hi,

Selling order ID 61 batch 1-500. Quantity: 1

I also had order ID 30, but already ordered a Jupiter.
As I only have a few posts (I'm a lurker by nature, what can I say) can't ask anyone to trust me, so I'm willing to take the risk:

PM me with an offer if interested.
The best offer in 24 hours will get it, with a slight preference for hero members.

I require payment only after KNC confirmed via email the queue placement transfer.

I haven't really experienced with underclocking, but the power consumption should be minimal (a few 10 watts) between say 600 MHz and 950 MHz. Try to raise clock to 900, with undervolting. If it holds stable, then try some more. Smiley
I get 550 Mh/s / card out of the 7950s at 1050 MHz with undervolting.
733  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difficulty in September? on: June 05, 2013, 12:41:29 PM
Just bought a Jupiter.
Before ordered I tried everything to estimate the difficulty, possible delays, ASIC developments etc, but it's pretty much impossible. From 50 mill to 250 mill anything possible.
If it's around a 100 million I'll be happy.

734  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Miner, should I go ASIC on: June 05, 2013, 12:36:44 PM
The main problem with ASIC (imho) is after it outlived it's profitability there is no real resell value. A few months ago I built a minding rig with 4 video cards, it's making profit, then a few weeks from now I'll just take it apart and sell it at a 30% loss.

Just today I payed $7000 for a KNCminer ASIC, that I really hope will arrive (in time), because it will have almost no resell value after the next gen rigs push difficulty into the high hundred millions, billions.

Before buying a new PSU, try to undervolt the cards. If you can, 500 W should be enough.
I have 2 7950s running 1050 MHz, undervolted to 0.988 v, the power consumption are around 120-150 W per card.
738  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Way to get round the 5 post limit... on: June 05, 2013, 11:35:56 AM
I like the 5 post limit, I even implemented it on my forum, but today I'm annoyed.
Just lurked for weeks never noticed that there is no reply button, and today, when I need it, it's missing, so here I am. Smiley
