Problem is NXT isn't just an inflated copy coin, it's a real full on fraud coin. ................ If ever there was a coin that was created as a total scam to make money for the developer, this is it.
You are saying this with so much conviction, yet not willing to put any money on it. Pretty strange, maybe this cryptocurrency world is not for you.

This will go 1 of 2 ways.
1. I am wrong and the source gets released IN FULL and the price of NXT jumps up. You profit. Excellent.
2. I am right. The source gets partially released. The other features don't appear. The code is proved insecure and the price drops. Everyone loses except for the creator and early investors that sold off at least a 300th of their stock.
This is a great way to make yourself look smart. You know that the source for the extra features will not be releases initially, it was stated before. You are not speculating on this.

Correction - NXT promises to have innovation in future. Right now, there is nothing.
So, let me summarize: You thing (suspect, fear, whatever) that Nxt is a scam. The creator released a basic, buggy coin just so he can make some fast money. The promised features are not coming, they don't and won't exist. You are so confident in this, you voice your opinion boldly, and frequently on various forums. Now, how about you put some money behind it? Care for a bet? You win if Nxt won't include at least two of the promised innovative features until the end of March 2014. How much would you like to bet?

Same here, my cashout is pending for the last 29 hours.
Most pending cashouts have now been processed, save a couple larger ones that will need further account audit. It really usually takes max 15 to 24 hours. The 29 hours single delay for Vega was by coincidence the longest we have had for transactions not having any discrepancies associated. So, I hope you can see the bright side and be happy that your BTC is safe... and hey, don't sell it now! In truth, normally the not automatic transaction is not really an issue for me, I can wait. The extra security worth it. It was just bad luck the delay to happen now, and expecially with (some of) my coins that I use to trade with. I could've made about +20% bitcoin today with it. But stuff happens. Keep up the good work.

I think we can sum it all simply. ..... For me, I'm going to stick with my Nxt and ride this one out.
I agree. I wasn't happy when I read someone wants to put it on Coinmarketcap, and even less happy when succeeded. Nxt is not ready for the spotlight, in more than one way. When I bought in, my intention was to look it up a few months from now. It was a good idea, because it will be a much better and clearer situation by then, but I just can't stay away.

Ah the old "Gotta spend money to make money" argument. Works real nice when you're on the side with money. Why do you think we make so many alt coins? Because start up costs for larger coins is prohibitively expensive. What NXT has done is effectively mined the ENTIRETY of bitcoin. It's as if the founders were the only ones mining for the whole cycle. Is it fair for us to be buying in to that?
The beauty of the whole system is that it's fair. No matter how much money you put in, everyone will get the same return in proportion. You can't ask to make the same money for $10 as someone who invested $1000 the same time. Now, when did you invest, that's an other story. I myself found nxt about a week ago, and bought some. I wasn't happy I didn't found it before the genesis block, but I'm happy today that I found it last week. Someone will probably think the same thing a week from now. This can't be helped.

1000 coins is too small of an amount to be useful for mining
What amount would be useful for forging? I used my meager BTC stash to purchase 2200 NXT through DGEX with the hopes it would be enough to generate a return. I've tried to be as useful as a newcomer can to the project with feedback and running a dedicated server. I'm going to keep the server running and up to date, but am I wasting my time? What return did you expect with 2200 NXT? You get what you put in. If you started CPU mining Bitcoin today you would get Bitcoin. Just not much... If you wanted more, you'd get GPU for a few hundred dollars. That would make more bitcoin. If not enough, you could spend a few thousand for ASIC, and get more. The same is true here, but instead of hardware you have to get NXT. As someone who bought GPUs, and ASICs for a lot of money, I find NXT more than fair.

A good promotion and good use of stakeholder coin would be to pool some coin together, including any unclaimed coins, and announce that this will be distributed at some date between the miners/forgers, proportionaly to theoretical mining power. (Excluding the top x accounts.) A promise like this would be a good incentive to get into Nxt. Get coins, run the client, etc.
How will u counteract the Sybil attack? People should give something valuable in exchange for NXTs, without this ur idea will be sybil-attacked. But only if you give away the coins for every account equally. Or I am missing something? My idea is a simple giveaway, based on previous Mining Ratio (as seen in blockchan explorer). Right now most blocks have no fee, but the block being mined anyway. So why not give something to people who bought coins, and mined with it early on? It's a much more just, and motivating giveaway than a "post your address topic". It's possible I'm overlooking something obvious, if so, please tell me.
