981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: September 04, 2017, 06:23:02 PM
What is fair becomes subjective to each individual. Also refer to my previous response.
I've never said it was a fair launch) Otherwise my blocks would be somewhere between 0 and 1000 Smiley
25-30 minutes is still a lot of time to mine on coin start, many coins don't have such free stuff so it's 5-10 minutes until ASICs/big farms join in and kill your solo mining.
What 25-30 minutes you are taking about? 30 seconds before launch means that you had to be online, refreshing page, get exactly that minute - real luck. Then read, download (new algo = new miner), make it run (as I haven't ever used sgminer it was not just 2 clicks).
It can't be called "fair launch" anyway. But anyway it is not worse than other projects.

P.S. Fair launch took place right now with the coin in another thread. Mining right from the 1 block.

There are at least 3 coins on xevan Smiley

In general, the 1080 isn't too popular. For the price and power use, there are better options.
It is very popular myth. Thanks to it 1080 are more cost effective than 1070/1060.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ### A ChainWorks Industries (CWI) Project - CWIgm | Simple Powerful Stable on: September 04, 2017, 09:29:18 AM
The project is dead?

I think that correcting problems with stability (as far as it is the main point of team) should take less time.
I mean the problem of not closing the miner when it start to quickly show gigahashes/s.

P.S. Other miners are improving speed. DNR is not profitable to mine with your miner anymore. Don't know whether fastest for the moment bitcore spmod2 works with your pool.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: September 04, 2017, 09:05:38 AM

This thread was not created before blocks were mined. What is fair becomes subjective to each individual. Also refer to my previous response.

It was created 50seconds before start. Of course it is not "fair launch with no premine", someone had to read first, than download a miner as far as it was new algo, make a bat for a pool also takes time. So when it all was done - 30 minutes of instamine have passed even for the luckiest miner.
So devs didn't need to "mine like crasy", they could use a 1 slowest cpu to mine all those 2.5M signatums.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XMG] MAGI | CPU mining | mPoW | mPoS | [MagiPay] on: September 04, 2017, 08:20:57 AM
In reply to my previous post and following comments:

CPU miner meaning us - the people. Not talking about software! Karbowanec is a CPU only mined coin just as MAGI is supposed to be.

The problem? Huge Bot-nets, server farms, illegal workplace nets and anyone else with more than a one or two home computers.

Setting Pool rules doesn't help as many of the high KH/S users are indeed the pool owners (referring to other coins since I don't use MAGI - no offense meant to pool owners on this thread!)
Oh and you really hope to get rich without any efforts/investments, just mine with home PC?
It is market economy. It is impossible to get 1000$/month per 1CPU. If the coin is more profitable to mine than other coins, than someone sooner or later will come and drop the profitability to/below average level.
So, there are 2 types of investments.
1) Hardware/software
2) Your time, effort, luck to search and find most profitable coins to mine.

So, if you sit still on your ass than it is normal to earn 1 cent in 2 days.

I have access to about 60 I7 machines and 6 16 core Xeon servers and I was mining at them 24 / 7 (we don't have electricity bills in the country I am in).

Why don't you have electricity bills, and what country are you from?
We pay in the Netherlands 25 cent for every Kwh.
In exUSSR countries sysops usually don't pay for electricity and mine without permission. Some sort of extra salary Wink
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 04, 2017, 07:21:04 AM
What's the best hashrate you can pull with monero cryptonight? Mine does 840 h/s @ 126W 56C +110 clock -500 mem clock with 60x34 launch-config ccminer. People report up to 900 but can't seem to go near the drivers crash if I overclock more.
Cryptonight is not for 1080/ti. 1070 makes 700+H/s. AMD gpu performs even better (Hash/price)

Neoscrypt, Ethash (without dual mining) and Cryptonight peforms bad on Gddr5x.

Mine with Skein, Nist5, Equihash, Tribus, Skunk, X17, Lyra2v2, Groest, hmq_1725 etc.
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INTENSE COIN - Blockchain backed decentralized VPN - Hybrid PoW on: September 04, 2017, 07:11:39 AM
I'm using Claymore's fine
And how do you use it with nvidia GPU?
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INTENSE COIN - Blockchain backed decentralized VPN - Hybrid PoW on: September 04, 2017, 07:11:09 AM
1.  Is it normal that i have constant CPU usage of 60%

2. Setting separate instances is at the end of bat file  --cuda-divices 0 1 2   etc?

3. is this the best open source miner?

4. on monero benchmarks.com Ive seen a 1060 6gb reported of 1000 hs (not sure if fake)
1. If you have 2cores - than it is normal.
2. Doesn't matter.
3. ccminer 2.2 (or 2.2.1) is the best
4. Fake or private miner, but I don't think so. There are many cryptonight miners and all of them are +/- the same, so it is mature algo. I don't think it is possible to double hashrate at this time, small improvements are possible, or gpu specific (like 1060 got with ethash).
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]COINONAT-BLOCKCHAIN EQUALITY-ASIC-RESISTANT-POW-GPU/CPU LOW TEMPERATURE on: September 02, 2017, 06:10:12 PM
Dev can you please send plan for returning of 60% of the coins we have sent you for swap? Tnx

Sorry Doctor, you won't be getting anything back. This guy is a ripoff. Kiss your coins goodbye and invest in legitimate coins. This ain't one of them. Neither is CoinonatX and Etheriya all created by iam2good.
I suspect CTIC/CTIC2 are in the same line.
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: September 02, 2017, 05:34:15 PM
sp what is your bitcore mod doing? 18MH on a 1070?
Real almost stable is 19-19.5. Almost - because it crashes from time to time. And you have to put -i 20 or better -i 19 to get fewer crashes.
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: September 02, 2017, 02:46:54 PM
I invested in SIA on June 18th when it was 0.018$, I invested 7 BTC which is worth now 1.75 BTC and I got 1M sia. I am just too disappointed in SIA that this coin has not been going up like all others even things they implemented like ASIC miners for next year, This was a utter failure on their end but once again I am a bag holder due to SIA and cannot sell unless I break even which I don't see anytime this year but u make mistakes and you learn from these mistakes. I learned it the hard way, Hope sia bring out something big or new which would increase its prices. I hoped to invest in SIA that if it ever touches 1$, I would have 1M$ in my pocket but 1$ seems impossible for this coin due to their current progress. SMH!

That was near all time highs. I was telling my friends at that time to stay away from crypto as it got to far ahead of itself with prices. It was clear to me it was in a minor bubble. Also if you calculate your losses in USD they would not be as dramatic as compared to BTC as BTC has quite a run of late. In USD terms I think SIA is about 55% off it's ATH.
Moral - don't put all eggs in one  basket.
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 01, 2017, 11:25:30 AM
what are good alternatives to EWBF 0.3.4B mining ZEC?
thanks
For now - it is the fastest. May be dstm will be able to make faster one. Who knows...
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: September 01, 2017, 10:06:35 AM
The skunk algo is not dead.
Does it matter? Your spmod's are slower than some other miners. All you could you've already earned from stolen others work.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: September 01, 2017, 10:03:06 AM

997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: August 31, 2017, 09:24:15 PM
Can someone provide some easy step by step instructions to mining Verge on a CPU? Is that even possible? I have a spare laptop that I'd love to put to use to mining this coin. I already own 300K and I'd like to add to that number.

This should help you. Verge and Doge are both Script coins and share a common root. Verge includes many other algorithms as well. You would do much better to buy a miner to get some real hash going on it, very profitable right now although I haven't seen a block all day!  Grin

https://vergecurrency.com/faq/#mining

and here for Script mining

https://zipso.net/how-to-mine-dogecoin-a-beginners-guide/

Verge is multi algo. And it is profitable being mined on gpu in X17(more) or lyra2r2(less).
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: dstm's ZCash Cuda miner (nvidia) on: August 31, 2017, 08:44:26 PM
Hey dstm,
I would also be interested in helping test on Windows, I have a 1080 and a 1080 Ti that I use for Zcash:

These settings are used in the screenshot:

1080 Ti
Base Clock Offset +150
Memory Clock Offset +0 (P0 state)
Power and Temperature Target 94% (~235W)

1080
Base Clock Offset +150
Memory Clock Offset +0 (P0 state)
Power and Temperature Target 76% (~180W)

--ypsi
How you enable P0 state?
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Q: GTX 1080 Hashrate on Ubiq and Musicoin on: August 31, 2017, 05:46:04 PM
Hi to all
I read in few websites that GTX 1080 give 28-30 Mh on mining Ubiq or Musicoin, But as i know those are same as ETH on algo and GTX 1080 should provide same hashrate on all of ETH based Altcoins.
Can someone tell me the real hashrate of GTX 1080 on mining Ubiq or Musicoin?
I think you found this number in Nicehace calculator. It is a mistake.
Correct numbers for OC gpus for now are:
1060 6Gb 25Mh
1070 32Mh
1080 23Mh

But 1080 is still more profitable than 1070 while dualmining with correct seconf coin and "dcri" setting.

Can't find POS rules. Can someone answer?
1) % of staking (random by time, or equal each day/week...)
2) Minimum ammount required
3) Minimum time for staking to start
4) Wallet need to run all the time?
