My monsterminer with ~30MH found 41 blocks before the first orphan, wallet is tcmalloc compiled cryptonite-qt, scantime 2.

Also made a test deposit to Nova, it works, needs 17 confirmations.
How to mine solo? Which rpc port to use?

P.S. And there are some problems with deposits to wallet on bter.

Wow! what I`m miss? XCN is delisted from btc38?!

Btc38 closing all trading, like all the other chinese exchanges.
and what the plan for pump xcn on Nova? may be new exchange? Cryptopia or yobit? Bitrex? 45sat`s is very low price...

We are investigating various solutions, you are welcome to join the conversation on slack.
I forgot to change address on suprnova and several transacrions went to bter, and didn't appear there. Are they lost?

Is it working now? My wallet is synced with addnode=honey.thecryptochat.net
Yes it suddenly got synced.
Are there any pools to mine?

Did all that several times still in block 164592.
deleted all except wallet.
put bootstrap.dat in the folder

XCN wallet eats twice more then my previous champ - XVG. It consumes ~800Mb.
Is it possible todo something woth memory consumption?

My thoughts about BTX:

1. The airdrop rewards are a big part of the projects interest (probably largest at the moment) and should be continued. I think the original plan would have just been a dumpfest and kill most of the interest in the project because there would be no more drops and no proper future plans introduced yet. This is why I think none of the premine funds should be burned or thrown around in massive quantities without a good reason. On the other hand I think the premine should be distributed fairly quickly because It's not good that a few people control such a huge part of the coins economy. I think now it's critical to start making plans and development for the project before the distribution is finished, else the coin will lose interest. The fast transactions and blockchain capability is all good but no use alone.

2. Simply extend the BTC to BTX claiming period until there are no more premine coins left. There should be enough time to claim for everyone who is interested and the rest can just buy the coins afterwards. I don't see the point in taking a new snapshot, you will just give more to the ones who have already claimed and the possible new members of the community will get a sliced reward. Also the old snapshot way is better because all the coins would be eventually distributed to the parties who have some interest in the project and not "lost" for no reason.

3. To speed up the distribution without affecting the price negatively too much there could be a bonus program for the holders. For example:
- Create a dedicated "holding" address where you deposit BTX.
- Register that address as you would anyway with this new October method.
- First week you get 3 %. If you don't touch the BTX wallet, on the second week you will get 6 %, then 9 % and after a month it would be maxed at 12 %. The percentages can be thought out/calculated properly (no withdraws or deposits allowed except the drops, this is important so people don't create 100 small value "hold" addresses and deposit large sum to claim max bonus whenever they want it).
- If you touch this address you will be excluded from the bonus and only get the 3% going forward.
- If you want to go for the bonus again you would create a new untouched address and register it.
- No need to make future changes, clear rules going forward until there are no more coins to drop.

4. I personally think the 10 % instant drop for the devs is too much because there are too many unclaimed coins at the moment. Also I don't see much progress being done except the weekly airdrops, correct me if I'm wrong. It would be better to give the devs for example 0,1 % airdrop of circulating supply (not premine) every week. This would be a more stable reward and the further we would go with the project (distribution and price-wise), the more reward they would get.

Edit: Did some rough calculations how fast the funds would get distributed with various airdrop percentages. Starting supply 1 million and ending supply 16 million. No dev fees calculated.

3 % = 92 weeks
6 % = 47 weeks
9 % = 32 weeks
12 % = 24 weeks
Good plan. Number 3 adds some kind of POS system.
But anyway after 5-11 months when airdrop finishes without POS/masternodes and/or wide acceptance of the coin there will be a total dump. But it will be at least 5 months later. Smiley And devs will have time to do something to add real value to the coin.

BUT ofc, no fud here guys. Vega is super coin, i'm just jelaous! Mine dnr for dev vega more, maybe you will get a free amd vega 64 GPU then you reach 100k vega coin  as long as coin use oficial logo and name of this product (where is law officers from amd btw).
Nice idea for dev. He surely should use it. And of course add a page to website with happy "winners" Grin

I think you might be misunderstanding what is happening.  When the difficulty drops low, a lot of hashrate comes in to another pool which isn't altminer most of the time, and takes most of the blocks during the low difficulty.  This leaves altminer to find maybe 1 or 2 blocks during this time, and continue to find the blocks when the big hashrate disappears from the other pool which was taking all the blocks.

Sometimes the big hashrate comes on to altminer and it will find multiple blocks quickly in a row during the low difficulty, but recently the big hashrate has been on a different pool during these times, and again, this is why during this time altminer doesn't get as many blocks, but because it's still getting the most blocks when the difficulty isn't very low, it is still getting around ~50% of the blocks total.  Do you understand?
Difficulty is retargered every block. If there if big hashrate - then low diff will be for one or two blocks only.

I think some Russians are trying to fud this coin down. They are miners, they need to reduce mining diff down because they know Vega will live on Nova soon.
And we, the trade coin community in VietNam, with more than 30,000 members, and along with the international friends' signal peers, will bring this coin to Nova and other exchanges soon.
Do not try to do useless things, because we have enough strength.
On no no fud. Mine mine this coin and also buy coins from dev.

I have problems with Syncing, in log i find this error, and last sync block 158308

ERROR: AcceptBlock() : rejected by hardened checkpoint lock-in at 158309

Do i need to delete peers.dat and honey.conf ?

The same.
Downloaded new wallet and stuck on the same block.
Deleted all the files (even wallet) - doesn't help.

Yeah i also favor to continue the 3% until they are all distributed.  Maybe even include a mecanism just like deeponion has, if you sell above a certain level (in their case its 10%) you're blocked from future drop.
Not sure how this could be implemented thou.  Might not be possible with the current distribution model.
Devs, what do you say about the offer of gigabyted about the restriction of sale? Exclude from the airdrops those who want to sell their coins, as in Onion. Is it difficult to configure a script that will control this? In my opinion this is a great idea! Then I agree with the hybrid plan. If not, then I'm against the hybrid plan. Too many coins.
This idea didn't work even with Onion. It looks like ordinary pump-dump coin now.

Here is the totals if you hold 1500 coins on October 30th at the time of my plan. I just chose an arbitrary number to show the power of the 3% weekly airdrop after a larger distribution. If you simply stay put and receive the 3% weekly airdrops until late February you would gain an additional 4000 total coins. This would be a 66% percent increase over the course of 4 months. Nobody smart would pass this opportunity up and I guarantee we could get on a larger exchange along with any other developmental plans the devs have planned. This is when some people may want to take their profits but at this point we will hopefully have some more buy support. Additionally, this makes this coin look more legitimate to new people since the devs would not be in control of all the coins. I know a lot of people that won't touch coins like this for that very reason.

https://imgur.com/a/YbVp7
What increase you are talking about? Increase in coins means nothing. I have 1ML of coins that cost 4sat and they all cost less than 100BTX now.
If your 4000 in Feb would cost less than 1500 now what's the point of it?
Dev is right - coin needs a big buy supply, awareness and existance on all exchanges. But I don't think he is right to give BTX to BTC holders. I don't think that they care about BTX all they will do - dump = easy money to add to BTC assets.

If you put something up for vote, have at least proper choices, the 2 choices that are in the voting thread are not enough, there obviously has to be the choice of slow and steady weekly 3% airdrops till the end, which I believe is much better than airdropping millions of at once which could 1/10 the price in a day,
3% till the end has one little problem. It prevents BTX to be on bittrex or poloniex for 2 years (you need 94weeks to distribute 15Ml).
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcore - BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - CORE 0.14.1 -431110+ BTX Claimed on: September 23, 2017, 02:23:26 PM
IMHO the only way to prevent total dump. Is to smooth the transition from huge to nothing as much as possible.  1 huge airdrop 300-400% and many will dump despite 3%.it is obvious. It can kill the coin.
Without huge airdrop the dump will be closer to the end of 3% airdrops while the price will slowly fall before that. That is not 100% and many things can happen on that way. But it will lead to long time to get to big exchanges.
Have devs thought about POS or masternodes implementation? It can make smoother transition adding perspective of future income. If set good % of POS at the beginning and lower it several times in future to a usual 5% it also can smooth.

I like the coin. I like the speed of wallet. Don't want it to fail.

I think one of the best ways is 5 (10)% airdrop +1%(2) each month - to get to ~5-6 months of distribution. And to stop dumping when the airdrops are finished make POS/masternodes before that.

Hello.

Stumbled upon this coin.  I like the fair launch and no premine.  I am interested to understand more about what path this coin is trying to take because I can't seem to tell much from the OP.  How is Iridium different from any other coin?  Or what makes it a good coin?

Thanks, appreciate any input.

It has a very low coin supply compared to other coins.  + Cryptonight algo.
Actually nothing special.
Similar Intense at least have nicer wallet  Wink

1) It looks like the attacker spent most of the smaller outputs and left the massive outputs alone, the latest version should block those massive balances but I calculated they were able to get away with around 260 million XCN from the smaller outputs.
2) I also want to make it clear this bug has nothing to do with the mini-blockchain technology, the bug in the code was pretty obvious and quite easy to fix just by making some signed integers unsigned. Look at the latest changes on pallas's github to see exactly what we did to prevent this happening again.
1) 260ml is much. Even at 100satishi price.
2) It's not a good sign that "obvious" bugs are corrected with such price. Sad

Instead of the massive airdrop after November 2nd, we continue with the airdrops. Instead of 3% every Monday, we change it to 5% for the entire month of November. Each month after that, the airdrop increases by 1% until all BTX are full distributed. In the model, November would be a 5% airdrop. December would increase to a 6% airdrop. January would increase to 7% and so on until all BTX are distributed.

With 5% + 1% a month it would take ~9 months to distribute premine.

Not necessarily. If we take this approach, there will be a large number of BTX investors. My guess is that a very large portion of the crypto world would want to get involved. So this means that there will be larger airdrops and each person will tell their friends and their friends will jump in and the price will continue to rise.
Are you sure that your maths is good? The quantity of coins remais the same. And increases only by mining - it doesn't matter 10 people mine or 10ML people. It has no difference whether you have or have no BTX investors for the speed of premine distribution (a hope that you didn't mean to sell premine directly)
All extra airdrops is divided by this ammount.
So the only way to participate if you don't mine is to buy. But who will want to sell many coins with such airdrop plan? Very few. What does it mean? Price - rise of course. It isn't very good if too high = very volatile? because at some point many people will decide to sell, then to buy and so on.
So the main point is to find the airdrop plan which will do its work - no tooo much hype but the same time attractive for newcomers.

5+2% = ~6.5months
5+3% = 6montths
10+3% = <5months
...
So there are models of distribution from which to choose.
