I don't think it will be either, but it is, of course, not impossible. Just like any crypto - or any real-life product -, if enough people accept its value as money, it will be used as money (also). If we all accept apples as money - even though it's also food - then apples can become money. I think that's a good comparison, since it shows it's not impossible, but at the same time, a little bit absurd.

BTW, the really undervalued cryptos to me are civic and factom, who have real projects and are not only currency. But only future will tell if I'm right!

Everyone saying Siacoin is probably bagholding a large amount - don't fall for their shill, SC is done... Do your own research before trusting what random people say on these forums (including me, lol) - a lot of people just shill away their coins hoping to breakeven on their bad investments.
So where do you do your research then? :-)

Sell when it's high!! Buy when it's low!! You're welcome. Let me know if you want to donate something to me for this essential information.

If you need to ask for advice on a forum, it might be better to keep your half million under a mattress...

You can find a list of all supported exchanges and also of the supported wallets etc. on their site. I'm not sure what to do with that BitcoinCash but hey, I won't complain about free money. If it falls all the way down to zero, we still haven't lost a thing. Only disadvantage is that we don't know how the market will react. For now, the market's reaction is positive. Especially for ETH! Here's their site, I suppose it's official: https://www.bitcoincash.org/

Why isn't there more intrest in altcoins which actually have something to offer / a project?
Factom? Ripple? Iconomi? Civic? Stellar? etc...
FYI, since many ppl who put their favorites here, probably have them in their wallet, I'd like to add, I've only got one of the five I've mentioned ;-)
Factom is good altcoin should invest in today because the price of this coin has falldown to range price in May, before the time this coin pumped. Ripple in current need falldown to @4000 for think again and buy small amount, but I think this coin not should invest in long term because this is a token! I forgot to mention MAIDSAFE.

Yeah, no need to explain everything to your family, they can find their way in the internet or with an experienced person - should you die. Only make sure they know you have altcoins. Might be interesting to some people to avoid succession taxes...

Didn't want to open a new topic, but little question: I've got some ETH on an address created by MEW.
Am I correct that I can send other ETH-based coins (like ICONOMI, GOLEM etc.) to that same address?? Or do I have to create a new address in MEW for each new edit: different coin I buy?
Thank you in advance guys!

I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?
Advertising bitcoin on public and national channels is a great idea to make bitcoin more popular to many people. Because as we all know even bitcoin has already been known worldwide and being already used by many people, there are still people around the globe that belongs to a country that do not even know yet bitcoin's existence. So, with the help of television advertisements, it will now be easy to dissiminate the facts and informations about bitcoin to make it more popular worldwide. And who is going to pay for it? You? Bitcoin is decentralized and there is no entity that would be willing to dish out funds for advertisements. And anyway its already basically advertised on the news every time a story hits about how well its doing. What about the exchanges? Coinbase? Kraken? I suppose they gain enough to pay for marketing?

Nope, this is no existential question (although...). Everybody's talking about "When will Bitcoin die", but what if you die, and your family don't find your key, or don't understand it, or think it's only a useless sheet of paper with some code on it, or simply throw it away... Does this mean the currency's gone forever?
I find the possibility of this event rather realistic (yup I don't believe in eternal life), so that means that someday there might be 21M BTC but only 18M (and counting down...) is left in the market?

The best investment is your investment of time in a good job.

It might go up. It might go down. It might snow, It might rain.
Well... The weather's more predictable....

You should read more about it because if you're not a pure investor, those coins really have nothing in common otherwise.
