Rinse repeat  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

Which is great.

902  Other / Meta / Re: Bumps ..... are limited to once per 24 hours on: December 03, 2019, 06:58:22 PM
Well, just report the post. I don't understand why they keep spamming the trust page as there is not any effect on the trust score or anything, just wasting time. If they think that this is the way to change the opinion to someone, they miserably failed. If this is a way to piss off the DTs, it didn't work either. Seem it's hard for them to give up.

I do but his time I wanted to have some conversation and wanted to get the attention of the mods (again). He is breaking rules which is not top secret and also harming the community but yet I never seen any ban to apply against him.

Talking about the trust page things, I think he enjoys it and lately no one cares at all. But his constant trolling is pathetic. I have him in my ignore list but still I see him and his posts lol
Ironic though.

As I mentioned before, the giant problem with reporting these kinds of posts, is that several mods clean up the forums, without (necessarily) seeing the cohesion or systematics between posts of one and the same person.

After cleaning up those reported posts, this poster seems clean like a virgin again. So the pervert consequence of posting reporting (some types of) spam/non-allowed posts, is that you're actually helping them instead of punishing them.
903  Other / Meta / Re: It looks like I've been demerited today on: December 01, 2019, 10:49:32 AM
Should've created a separate blockchain for Merit distribution. Damn why didn't we think about that earlier...
904  Other / Meta / Re: We need an well trained police to fight these thugs on: November 30, 2019, 05:00:25 PM
PS: those attempts at intimidation will obviously not affect my predictions which are based on facts.

You do know that BTC is a libertarian concept, just like freedom of speech?

I think people should be careful with the content of your posts, since you don't really seem to know the subject of your predictions.

Follow me, mate, whenever you're in the mood for a daily portion of cynicism and bitterness. Further on, just another impressive move, LoyceV. Well done!
906  Other / Meta / Re: Getting Closer to the 1000 merit requirement for Legendary! on: November 30, 2019, 03:08:02 PM
Looking at how well these threads are rewarded, I think I'm going to open a similar thread.

"Getting closer to Legendary. Only 667 Merit left."
907  Other / Meta / Re: We need an well trained police to fight these thugs on: November 30, 2019, 03:06:00 PM
I am personally attacked for my opinions ("retard", "clown", "troll").

They didn't really call you a clown, did they? My gawd. Someone call an ambulance!

Sigh. You give them freedom and 3 weeks later they come and beg for a well trained police.

912  Other / Meta / Re: REPORT for MERIT. Save your nice Report records, here! on: November 24, 2019, 10:44:49 PM
edit: I might offer a modest amount of Merit to lower ranked members who can present an impressive amount of reports and/or anti-spam efforts.
This kind of merit give-away or competition has been talked about before, and I agree it would be a nice way to give out merit since reporting is a largely thankless task and the proposed reporter badges seem to be on indefinite hiatus, but it can't be done because it is absolutely trivial to submit false screenshots using your browser's in-built developer tools as such:

Yup, I PM'd about this a few hours ago with an other member to find out if reporting stats are publicly available, but it seems they're not... I'll have to trust them blindly. Cool

As a token of gratitude for your reply, I've just rewarded you 1 gazillion Merit though. Thx! Grin

NB: We really should find a way of thanking reporters - and rewarding more lowranks...
913  Other / Meta / Re: REPORT for MERIT. Save your nice Report records, here! on: November 24, 2019, 05:59:05 PM
This has turned into a merit giveaway. Don't you think it is better to move to boards where we usually see those topics like beginners and help or reputation? I have only reported 189 posts so far with 99% accuracy (186 good, 2 bad, 1 unhandled). That's too little compared to most active reporters here.

No but looking at your history, it looks like you've shown an awful lot of effort for our community already.

As you've read above, I'm a daily visitor of this forum but never noticed the existence of an other similar thread. I wouldn't have started the thread if I had.

However, on one hand, the spam on these boards drives me (and many others) crazy and on the other hand, I feel it's quite difficult to reward lower ranked members. That's why I've changed the purpose before eventually maybe archiving the thread.

Looks like you're the first one who has proven that my thread has become useful anyway. Keep reporting mate and come back to this thread when your reporting ratings have increased.
914  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice REPORT records, here! on: November 24, 2019, 12:55:22 PM
A similar thread exist here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5058163.0.

I'd prefer to use that thread and bump it instead of creating a new one.

I had no idea that thread existed. Since I am the first one on these boards to complain when people are opening several threads for the same topic, I've changed the purpose of my OP. Mea culpa!

Thx for letting me know!

And keep reporting! Cheesy
915  Other / Meta / REPORT for MERIT. Save your nice Report records, here! on: November 23, 2019, 03:07:59 PM
edit: I might offer a modest amount of Merit to lower ranked members who can present an impressive amount of reports and/or anti-spam efforts.

While we are anticipating a (possible) Reporting/Spambusting profile medal, I figured, let's give the members of this community a possibility of showing off with how much they've been reporting already - by analogy with tbct_mt2's "Save your nice Merit records" thread, of course.

I know it's a long shot compared to many mods and Spambusters on this forum, but I'm actually more proud of this record, than any Merit record I've had in the past. At least, it gives me an incentive to do something back for the forum (and to be totally honest, I simply hate spammers, so I'm also doing it for myself).

So I reached a nice number of reports, about 40 minutes ago exactly on this forum's 10th Anniversary. That's just brilliant! Smiley

Today at 14:25:38:

You have reported 2500 posts with 99% accuracy (2425 good, 27 bad, 48 unhandled).

Sorry, I only made a stupid copypaste instead of a screenshot. I didn't really think it over. Cool

So guys, keep reporting, and post your nice records in here!

This is the reason
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-drops-below-73k-as-china-vows-to-dispose-of-exchanges

So many people are putting a lot of their hopes in china but i personally never put a big expectation crypto to be adopted in short time. Remember about what already said by Xi-jinping is about blockchain and not crypto.

Satoshi's Bitcoin has been developed and presented as a libertarian project, to take back power from banks, governments and corporations.

Those who have indeed put their hopes in a communist country to get rich overnight, whilst dreaming of "moon" and "bull" and other fantasies, are now whining about Bitcoin's death and "the end of crypto". They make me laugh and I hope they get out asap.
917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale Withdraws $89M BTC, Despite Bloody Market on: November 23, 2019, 01:42:26 PM
Scenario 1: He bought it at a higher price and withdrew it while Bitcoin is on a bloodbath.
Scenario 2: He bought it at a lower price years ago, and withdrew it without even have to worry about the bloodbath.
If there would be another scenario, what would it be? Can you share it here guys? Thanks in advance!

Scenario 3  Coincheck moved some bitcoins from one cold wallet to another.

But that doesn't match the whole bloodbath scenario, whales are manipulating the price, we must find a culprit for the dump and hang him, right?
If there is a huge transfer in the blockchain, there must be some illuminate doing some funny business.

Seriously, stop following whale alerts. 99% of them are useless stuff!

Hear hear. Who are these whales exactly, and wouldn't there be a teeny weeny chance that people have panicked by the Binance raid news, for instance, or maybe just some others withdrawing fiat money for Black Friday. Who'll tell.

Thanks for making the efforts of constantly keeping us up-to-date, bstr156.

Since 2019, a lot of these projects have left these boards, and since it's nonetheless still my no 1 source for crypto, I'm glad to see Syscoin is still here.

920  Other / Meta / Re: The inclusion of large, unnecessary images in threads. Opinions? on: November 21, 2019, 05:37:35 PM
However, I have been (successfully) reporting several members who felt the need to quote the entire post - giant image included - in their reply.
Were your reports marked as good, bad, or unhandled?

It's been quite a while now but since most of my Bad reports were because of double reporting, I am quite positive that all of them were removed. Most of them were spammers anyway, which shouldn't come as a surprise as they didn't even make the effort of snipping their gigantic quote...

You'll find very few people who quote the whole OP - image included, with the intent of writing a masterpiece beneath it.
