1021  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! First anniversary! We made a change thank you :) on: August 10, 2019, 01:38:52 PM
Hi, this account woke up from a long hiatus of one year, and suddenly burst posting 30+ copy paste a post about one project on long dead threads. Not sure if it was a hacked account, bought, or the real owner decide to trash his account.

Thanks i tagged him and yeb looks like the account changed the owner or got hacked maybe there is a massive spamming he has done and thats why i am tagged him !

Update : the posts are deleted now Smiley

One of my reported posts was deleted, yet marked as "Bad". Roll Eyes I guess the accuracy rating is not important anyway...
1022  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! First anniversary! We made a change thank you :) on: August 08, 2019, 03:09:31 PM
Best way to avoid double reports on a thread when you report many post in there is to check the https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=reportlist;mine from time to time when you reporting !
There you can see all the reportes you have done and just check there the names you have reported , thats the way i have done and doing if i report more posts in a thread so i am be sure and i know what was the last post i reported and going to the next one ! If you report a post and a other has reported this post too it dosnt count as double report , just hit the report button if you think its spam , so more the post reporting so bigger is the chance to get it deleted .

Thanks mate. Indeed, I should have stated more clearly what I meant by "double reporting" i.e. reporting something that has already been reported by someone else.

Would be more efficient if there was a system within the SpamBusters Club to avoid double efforts, for instance by dividing threads among the members. Just a friendly suggestion, although I'm quite certain one of the Busters must have found a solution for this already.
1023  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! First anniversary! We made a change thank you :) on: August 07, 2019, 04:31:46 PM
My presence on the forum is too irregular to be an active member of the SpamBuster club. But I am at about 2000 reports now and I was wondering if there is a way of reporting the threads and members you mention without doing double work. I mean, I'm not quite sure as to how you avoid double reporting (which is a waste of time and energy for you all, since there's plenty of other spam to report)?
1024  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FinWhaleX New Ponzi scam using bump or bot posting service. on: August 05, 2019, 10:46:03 AM
FYI, their original thread (packed with spam) has been deleted on July 31th 2019. They've opened a new one and restarted spamming. Plenty of posts have been reported and removed in the meantime, so this thread we see now, containing "only" 2 pages of spam, is in no way representative for the spam mess it is in reality. If needed, I could easily post a screenshot of more than hundred reported posts in their first (deleted) and current thread.
1025  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! First anniversary! We made a change thank you :) on: August 01, 2019, 06:03:40 PM
I continue to clean up several member's spam history. The problem is that afterwards, only their (relatively) acceptable posts are the ones that last in their posting history. This makes them look like pretty non-spamming members - ironically, in spite of our efforts... It felt like I was actually helping them, instead of giving them a hard time. Undecided

I know theymos was considering badges for spam-reporting members. Might be interesting to consider some way of punishment or a badge for people who are reputed spammers (e.g. people of whom at least 50 - or some number - of their posts have been positively marked as spam), since I understand banning is not the most preferred solution.

Not sure what you think about this. I know this is slightly off-topic but I figured it was on-topic enough not to start a brand new thread about this.

OP, the "REPORT TO MODERATOR" link is not there for decorative reasons. USE IT!

PEOPLE BE WARNED FOR THIS PROJECT. Thread consist only of bumpers.
1027  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! First anniversary! We made a change thank you :) on: July 31, 2019, 08:27:13 PM
UPDATE: The FinWhaleX ANN thread has disappeared miraculously a few minutes ago!

Also, a little bird told me that YuKiang, sixtyonefourfive, Rudibert and Bytehub will not be happy when they check out their profile in the morning. I guess there won't be any signature stakes for this week...

Lastly, does anyone feel like destroying Popeyes032's signature campaign?

It's not that I wouldn't love to do it myself. It's just that my wife will file a divorce if I continue to report this evening...

Cheers matez.
1028  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! First anniversary! We made a change thank you :) on: July 31, 2019, 07:06:28 PM
The same Newbie spam bumpers appear in these ANN threads, acting as if they're Einsteins on the subject.

To give you an idea of the level of quality:

Usualy if people have enought money they can get a bank loan and do not need a lending platforms.

How 'bout that. Makes you think, right? Cool

So here's the shortlist:

FinWhaleX: Peer-to-Peer Lending on the New level

[ANN] Eleven01 | Blockchain for the next billion | MIT Team | Government backed

[ANN][ICO] PBET – Physical Casino's Players Can Now Play Anywhere, Anytime!!

🏔🗻 Blue Hill Mining - STO backed by one of the largest copper reserves in Asia

[ANN] New Stabletoken ROKS on the Ethereum network

Vexanium: The Next Generation Blockchain for Mass Adoption

[PHR] PHORE BLOCKCHAIN - Private Decentralized Marketplace & Ecosystem. POS/MN.

[ANN][ICO][dApp][Ethereum] Lucky Strike Game

🔥🔥[ANN][CROWDSALE IS LIVE] Atronocom - Crypto Payment Platform

[ANN] [ICO] MoonTrader ($MOON) Trading Terminal and ecosystem

edit: I've been reporting posts in these threads for 3 days now but they keep adding posts. To avoid double reporting: I'm cleaning up the FINWHALEX thread
1029  Other / Meta / Re: Do you often use report button? There are guides to more effectively report on: July 29, 2019, 11:13:35 AM
I thought I was the only one who noticed that crap. It lead me to several other spam accounts.

Damn I love reporting a Junior Member all the way back to Newbie.

Keep on reporting people! Cool

1031  Other / Meta / Re: Calling The Attention of BTT Moderators Towards a Ban on: July 21, 2019, 03:22:07 PM
So basically you're just another copypaster. Do you realize these posts of yours actually cost money to the forum? Someone is paying for those bits and bytes you've been wasting during your membership. Piss off and never come back, and take all of those other ban whiners and scammers with you.

PS: By the way guys, OP actually opened the exact same thread in the Altcoin Discussion forum...

At least one of his last posts, particularly the one about his deceased wife, have been deleted. No more login activity since a few days either.

I thought it was quite strange that he was talking about his wife dying around February, even though in March he talked about having a Spanish account on his wife's name... I didn't want to mention it before, since it's not the kind of subject one starts asking questions about...

I've never understood why people are willing to risk judicial prosecution for a few euros... I would never promote or commit crimes, but if you really feel the urge to do so, at least make sure the profit is in balance with the risk... Roll Eyes

https://www.tijd.be/opinie/column/noelsspeak-gezocht-libra-pecuniaria/10146637.html

Excellent! We will wait on PIVX for testnet V4. DigiSafeGuard app is coming by the way. Hopefully this month. Everything is progressing smoothly Grin Keep an eye out for the news

Testnet v3 and secure messaging were announced for mid July. Testnet v3 has been launched in the mean time and indeed I suppose it will be only a matter of a few days for the messaging service.

Bounty manager, could you provide an avatar with a higher resolution? The current one is looking a bit like it's been compressed too much...

Cool
