1702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Digi coin marketplace WOW on: May 30, 2013, 11:56:28 AM
http://dgcmarket.com/ wow I think this coin might have some potential just need more items listed Smiley I think everyone should throw some support into the marketplace just to see if we can give one of the new alts some real legitimacy. Which I think this one and a couple others might just have.

1706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why all those new coins are no threat at all! on: May 29, 2013, 07:12:04 PM
I think those new altcoins popping up from anywhere are no problem for the community or a threat to other coins.

Why?

- strong coins with support by community and/or developers behind it, like LTC, WDC, PXC (!) and FTC, will survive anyway
- by moving away hashingpower from these coins to P&D coins, difficulty drops and more coins for you and me Smiley
- coins that are "pump & dump" will die eventually, only coins that can be actually spend somewhere or adds new features has any chance of surviving
- Cryptsy can't just add altcoins forever, nobody visits an exchange where you have to scroll down 26 pages to find a coin  Grin

Just support your own favorite coin(s), the strongest one(s) will survive eventually!

The true strenght of an altcoin is you!
Stand by your coin!
Ask not what your coin can do for you, ask what you can do for your coin!
Let the coin be with you!

Cryptsy hides coins you don't have a balance in now so not an issue.

1708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WorldCoinForum.org Staff & Rapid Growth Report on: May 28, 2013, 01:31:01 AM
Other coins need guys driving them like clint  he has been putting out giveaways and donations out of his own pocket on a coin that wasnt instamined or premined..  So everything he has  was predominantly from buying Smiley

They give away pretty significant prizes during their lotto night worth hanging out in chat for sure.
1709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be wary of Cryptsy.com Coins going missing !! on: May 28, 2013, 12:32:16 AM
If there was a bug the exchange should absorb that out of their funds rather than charge customers

For the most part Vern did eat the lost coin. For all small few it was more than a couple satoshis. Same thing would happen at your bank if you got lucky and they forgot to charge you eventually they WILL charge you.

In this situation it was more like an ATM where you just keep taking out money and thinking oh I am good this is legit I musta had triple the balance I thought to begin with.
1710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be wary of Cryptsy.com Coins going missing !! on: May 28, 2013, 12:24:16 AM
There was a bug involving cancelling orders that refunded your money several times.

I told Vern about this bug earlier today. You haven't lost any funds. You're simply being corrected to the amount you should have had.

Apparently not everyone was as forthcoming as hazard who went out of his way to help in the situtation some folks racked up a couple BTC worth of order refunds and apparently just thought they were doing really good.
1711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] *** New Exchange With lot of Cryptos *** https://www.cryptsy.com/ *** on: May 27, 2013, 09:13:33 PM

1712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Resurrect CNC? on: May 27, 2013, 08:31:43 PM
it should be laid to rest.
1713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Cryptsy Chat and new trade engine on: May 27, 2013, 06:03:17 PM
Cryptsy is a great exchange, few to no issues so far and BigVern fixes them as soon as you let him know.  He has put a lot of work into it and I think he has a pretty great product to show for it.

Any exchange that executes at price set instead of buy level market price for sales is a joke. Check the price drops and spikes in every chart. Completely nuts that anyone would code a trading site this way.

The new trade engine address that issue come try it out.
1714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cryptsy.com is setting the standard for Crypto exchange? on: May 27, 2013, 04:52:06 PM
volume is picking up in many of them. As more move the better it will be.
1715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cryptsy.com is setting the standard for Crypto exchange? on: May 27, 2013, 04:26:00 PM

From the op:

1. http://digicoinpool.com <- PPLNS Getwork 2% fee

This is a typical BigVern pool, 0% fee.  The only thing not typical is the pool is really behind in stratum implementation.
and its so typical of bigvern to be that much greedy so not taking any responsibility for spreading the hashrate.

I mean hes upped fees and not implemented stratum I think the attempt is being made. In fact I highly recommend some of you go jump on erundook's pools which are also superb. Erundook whats your digcoinpool url?

I don't think he will put in stratum until the pool loses some hashrate lol its closing in on 51% so if it gets better that could actually be bad Smiley
1718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Cryptsy Chat and new trade engine on: May 27, 2013, 03:37:01 PM
Is it possible to automatically fill in the price/amount fields?

At btc-e the default price is the price of the top order... Also user could set price and amount by clicking on positions or balance.

Yes, the interface exchanges repels all fields must prescribe manually
and this is one of the important elements of trade, while you will enter that course of time to sell than 10 times to trade

I am sure vern will get on it Smiley
1719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin.Co || Instant | Stable | Reliable || ~UPDATED~ on: May 27, 2013, 12:51:33 PM

Again Cryptsy is still in beta find something you don't like? Tell Vern what you would like to see. I think he has made some major improvements.
