Great news we have two more servers online to help with the rapid 10% daily growth! We also broke the previous days trade record with 20906 trades crushing Thursdays previous record day of 19706 Trades. To celebrate we picked up three new trade pairs.

CSC - BTC
ANC - BTC
XEN - LTC

Enjoy! Thanks for using cryptsy.com!
1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Exchange] Latest Cryptsy Additions, News and announcements on: July 22, 2013, 03:48:40 AM
today i received an email about a withdraw of my founds from cryptsy to a ltc account which is not mine... I log in to cryptsy right away and i saw that my memecoins gone... i tried to contact cryptsy but nothing happend so far.. i feel sorry about that site my loose is only 8885 memecoin but i will never put any coins over there... if anyone has any idea what happened please help me... i will provide all the necessary details if you want....
PS. nobody else except me know my password and my laptop is always with me also i live alone so nobody also than me has access to my computer

Your issue is being looked into but as we have many fail safes in place for withdraws to include they need your password to withdraw then they need your email to confirm and of course if you use 2 factor authentication, which everyone should, they need your cellphone to confirm. In most of these cases someone got your password and your not using 2 factor authentication. How would they get your passwords well if you use the same password on pools forums and exchanges many of them are not securing them very well....to say the least. Try this ask your pool or exchange to give you your password and if they can tell you what it is well you can guess the rest. Your issue however is not closed and as we are investigating this for you I would stick to the support channels before raising the alarms. Email me personally at bitjohn@crpytsy.com but I am pretty sure I responded to you about the investigation on your ticket.

1423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptsy down again? on: July 21, 2013, 02:20:40 PM
Ok first I want to apologize to everyone for our lack of updates during the outage. Both Vern and I were caught off guard and it was fixed before we even had a chance to respond to this thread. The issue was related to our newest server going offline that's why some folks had access and others from other areas did not. The good news on this is to make sure we don't have this problem in the future Vern added yet another Front end server so not only will that help with the issue that happened yesterday but will allow us to prevent the lag from growth we had on the front end last week. Cryptsy has very steady 10% daily growth.

As far as slow confirms on certain coins well we are in the process of moving to new servers for our wallets that will fix the queuing of coins. Massive amount of deposits of certain coins has led to some backlog on some the faster coins seem to get it the worst. BTC and LTC should already be moved on that note.

We have made dramatic improvements to our security. For our DDOS protection we have pretty solid protection now but they are always trying. Our fraud system though constantly being tweaked was able to catch the recent FTC attack and allowed us to inform the devs that there was an issue with their coin. I cant go into details on how it works but the system detects potential threats to a chain and will auto suspend trading and provides vern with information needed to sort it out. We have several safe guards that ensure your funds are safe even in the case of a major attack so have no worries.

So as we continue to improve and grow be assured our priorities are as follows. Security, Stability and then features in that order. I just want to thank everyone myself and BigVern for your amazing support as we all grow together and look forward to a bright and growing future. Thanks for using cryptsy.com!

1425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Exchange] Latest Cryptsy Additions, News and announcements on: July 15, 2013, 11:18:43 PM
There is a problem with Cryptsy... I deposited 500 nan and after 2 hour there were only 3 confirmations... Now i withdraw 0,034 btc and after more than 1 and a half hour zero confirmations... 2013-07-15 16:26:25   Withdrawal   1RgVpJCBxB5zHuJ7V9tcN3igcuicK3BuB   0.03489500 and the operations is not in block explorer, and in block chain it says (12 hours remaining till confirmation)...
We had some runaway services creating some lag earlier today all is better now and your deposits should now be credited.

I think Krugercoin, Valuecoin and CryptogenicBullion are good candidates too, low blockreward. Smiley
But hashrate / diff is still a little low. Should wait for that.

RedCoin, XenCoin, GameCoin could be nice for the LTC market.

The LTC market is a graveyard, so be it. Please add all coins to BTC market first! Then if hashrate and volume are low, MOVE the coin to the  LTC market. Starting a coin in the LTC market is not fair to the coin. Many supposed crap coins that started in the BTC market have blossomed. It just takes some time. Starting a coin in the LTC market gives them no chance to develop a following!

Starting every coin in the BTC market removes any bias against any particular coin and levels the playing field. reducing complaints and criticism. For example IFC gets added to the BTC market and FLO goes to the LTC market. A lot of people thought it should have been the other way around. But hey putting IFC in the BTC market didn't work out so into the LTC market it goes. Why wasn't FLO given an equal chance???

Also why would you take the advise of any particular person regarding the merits of any particular coin? For example maybe the previous poster is a dev for a competing coin and wants to see his competition in the graveyard market. The claim is that people want to trade in LTC but the trade volume on coins in the LTC market is very low. It is a graveyard and some people want some coins buried for their own reasons.

Come on, make it all fair!! Start all coins in the BTC market!!

Yea I cant quite fathom why some coins start off in the LTC market while others start off in BTC? Makes no sense when you look at the merits of some of the coins that end up (or start off in) either market.

I research and rank the coins they make it for all kinds of reasons. BigVern makes the call "gets the itch" and adds them based on the information in the list. Some that went straight to LTC are do to our LTC traders wanting a good coin Florin was best of the bunch so it went to LTC. Mastercoin was discussed with the dev and it went to LTC. Doubloons was requested to go straight on LTC market. Many factors are involved in where they go.

Litecoin supporters I am sure would not agree that every coin should hit BTC first.

We will look into if there is an issue. What pools specifically are the issues on I am mining it and have not had a lot of rejects hardly any actually.

silverwolfs pool has quite a bit lately and very unusual for his pools too.

I know both Vern and silverwolf are working on the pool side issues.
