ya this is quite bullish news actually.

I remember when bitmain would not sell there s9 to customers for over a year so they can mine it all to themselves and get huge gains.  This generally forces those miners to grow some balls and buy some coins instead. Bitmain and Inno actually doing you guys a favor by buying in on the coins to pump the price instead of trying to mine it like a nerd and always finishing last place.

Thank you inno and bitmain. Please keep mining for yourself. These dumb miners don't know any better.

haha this is so true , i get it if you’re mining on gear thats old but u have to be a dumb or rich? to buy hardware to mine coins that are already at 1/5 or more of thier highs

why can't we run it with watchdog off

how do you stop the miner from adding its own watchdog if you have it specified

C:\Users\olawal\AppData\Local\AwesomeMinerService\UploadedSoftware\gminer_1_94_windows64\miner.exe   -w 1 -watchdog=false -uri cuckaroo292@grin.sparkpool.com:6666 -api=0.0.0.0:4028

126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Mining KILLER - The Innosilicon Ethereum ASIC Miner - A10 Review and Profits on: January 10, 2020, 04:27:45 AM
$3,000 for miner that makes $4 a day and might be obsolete before the end of the year and a 750 day ROI, lol.  Its been out for a while, no one is stupid enough to buy them.

3k ? lol they must me mining for themselves only way its going in production
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nervos CKB bringing back GPU Mining?! Dual Mine Ethereum and CKB | How To Mine on: January 03, 2020, 03:45:40 PM
Looks interesting and its nice to see that they have a wallet out now.  Since more and more ROI guys are falling out of mining again its important to look for long term projects that can be sustained.

Thanks for the video
Spinning up a rig early on for a few days can sometimes be more gainful than mining long term once the project takes off.

My thoughts exactly.

Also nice to support a project with some hashing power.

No much is profitable in the short term at the moment, so I like some fresh ideas in the space.

I'm interested to see some other peoples experience with rig setting as I still can't seem to find a setting that get's less then 2% failed shares.

Currently I'm using;

60% TPD
100% Core
-500 Memory
1070 Gigabyte Windforce

Tried a few variants now but nothing is less then 98% shares
nervous ckb is a fpg mined coin now don’t waste your gpu hash

interesting but why didn’t you get 300 watt panels instead of 100 watt? 300 watt seems to be the standard now
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gulden bringing CPU mining back with SIGMA on: December 05, 2019, 05:22:04 PM
Would be nice if you did not need a wallet on every pc on your network to mine this , or if it had a dashboard or cli command even to show the total  for your mining account since all my cpus mine to the same acct

randomX has been a bust so far , i cant see this many cpu farms active , botnets or fpgas , back to square O

Well. Here is my experiment with Ryzen 9 3900X.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X.
Motherboard: MSI X570-A PRO.
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 3200 CL14 XMP 2.0 ( F4-3200C14D-16GVR ).
Air cooler: Bequiet Dark Rock Pro4.
AIO cooler: EVGA CLC 280
PSU: Corsair HX1200i.

Out of box: 10500 hash/s

Memory DRAM Calculator for Ryzen v1.6.2. https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ryzen-dram-calculator/
Processor: Ryzen 2 gen
Memory Type: Samsung B-Die
Profile version: V1
Memory Rank: 2
Frequency (MT/s ): 3200
BCLK: 100
DIMM Modules: 2
Motherboard: X570

Calculate Fast.

Room temp: 23C

CPU: 4.0 Ghz @ 1.2V - 13150 hash/s @ 230W wall
Cooler:
Default cooler ( Wraith Prism): 90C
Dark Rock Pro 4: 75C
EVGA CLC 280: 67C ( 1200rpm fan )

CPU: 4.2 Ghz @ 1.25V - 13500 hash/s @ 280W wall
Default cooler ( Wraith Prism): +++ better dont try +++
Dark Rock Pro 4: 84C
EVGA CLC 280: 73C ( 1200rpm fan )

anything over 80c will destroy your cpu in a few months

My 3x ryzen 9 3900x all use water coolers.

I have  an

evga  cooler = https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Liquid-Cooler-Cooling-400-HY-CL24-V1/dp/B074WH52BW/ref=sr_1_1?
corsair cooler = https://www.amazon.com/Radiator-Advanced-Lighting-Software-compatible/dp/B077G3C6HH/ref=sr_1_4?
fractal cooler = https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0719DHG5Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?

yet to test

cool master cooler =  https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-MasterLiquid-Dissipation-MLW-D24M-A20PC-R1/dp/B075YPG52N/ref=sr_1_3?

and yes the corsair 280mm is best at 66C full speed
the evga  71c
the fractal 69c
what do you consider full speed? 4200 mhs is what i would consider
around 1.25 to 1.3 core to allow for close to 13k hash .  do you get 13000+ mhs on the water cooler?

its there a way to use just the straps and disable the miner ?

Under the circumstances that's not possible since gpu will return old strap and memory clock when miner is closed.
damn k

Personally I was expecting higher-earning results
I was not. Whilst the project itself looked interesting, I stopped mining it on testnet after a few days because the math just didn't add up... unless the price would've kicked up substantially from the ico (which, of course, could've happened, but wasn't very likely nowadays), or the expected distribution ratio of testnet coins had improved.

By all means, the price might still turn around and start climbing.
But at $0.01, it never made sense, really.
yeah, mining not really interesting if you pay for electricity  Cheesy we need prices like 0.1$ per CKB to make it interesting. 1 x1080Ti is eating at least 50 $cents a day if you are at a 0.15$ per kwh price.
its dowb under .01 cent now , id like to see how voskcoin says he broke eveb on this pos, maybe it goes higer down the line but as for now the testnet mining at such a small percentage paid out for full hash wasted does not add up to anything less than big losses for miners.

if you were dual mining tho , you might be ok
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nervos CKB Mainnet Was Live, what you feel and expect??? on: November 18, 2019, 03:29:27 PM
difficulty doesn't adjust fast enough, dont know how they missed that through the testnet.
Yuppp ealier in today, another miner mentioned that as well. Hope they can make the adjustment as soon as possible.

Apart from this, do you have any other opinions to share upon Nervos project?

 Smiley Smiley

they paid far too litle on testnet which is why they had not enough miners , pople who mined got fucked

Anyone using ryzen 9 3900x to mine?

i built three rigs.

gear seems pretty good.

i got 4 loving them so far
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nervos CKB bringing back GPU Mining?! Dual Mine Ethereum and CKB | How To Mine on: November 16, 2019, 04:10:43 PM
price is not even higer than ico , another voskcoin special flop lol
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RandomX Benchmarks! https://randomx.monerobenchmarks.info on: November 15, 2019, 04:08:23 PM
my 3900x have been making between 1.50 (loki) and $3 a day

i expect $3 a day to be the min when randomx starts on xmr that’s pretty good to me
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RandomX Benchmarks! https://randomx.monerobenchmarks.info on: November 15, 2019, 04:06:42 PM
Right now my i7 3930k making 300h/s on cryptonightR and it values as 0.10$ for a day consuming 130w .
if im not wrong it will pay me about 0.25$ with randomx.im sure it will pay this for 2-3 days then after it will be again like 0.10$.All people waiting something huge but results becomes same at the end of the road.cryptonight always paid for cpu very little.so dont be sooo exited.

It's not that cryptonight paid so little for CPU.
It's a fact that there are many more CPUs active at the moment rather than GPUs.
So, there will be a lot more CPUs mining RandomX algorithm for Monero thus reducing profits drastically.
If it's profitable for people, they are going to mine and they will activate each and every bit of CPU power they have which is really good for decentralization but not for incentives.

This is what I have been saying all along. If you think you will profit from investing in 4-5 or even 10 Ryzen 3900x systems in preparation for the XMR RandomX fork, you will be sorely disappointed. Please learn from both the Loki and ArQMA networks....there are a lot of CPU hashpower out there. Your multiple 3900X systems isn't going to make you any profit worth investing on. You have been warned..
yes long term maybe you are right but its all about efficiency, a 3900x will do 12k or more of randomx for 130 watt

those older cpus will do 3k for 70 to 100 watt so you are talking 4x maybe power use, the 3900x will make momey for at least six months and probably pay for themselves, beyond that who knows but either way its a new cpu so you can probably sell it in a year and be green greeN

Everyone talking about hashrate why no one saying about payment for these hashrate? waaaaww 12000H/s.they think it will pay like CN4?
I dont care  what hashrate they are promising,i do care is what do they pay for. What a meaning of 12k hashrate if it pays for that 1.5$. 3900 costs 700-900$.only cpu ROI 500 days.
my 3930k makes 0.25$ it is old cpu and what did you say about 3900 more 4 times efficiency right? ok 0.25x4=1$ for a day. What a joke.

i paid $499 for all my 4 3900x cards in october  and currently one is alreddy paid off lol , no i won’t tell you what i am mining
the cpu is so powerful i get 3x to 4x hash rate of older cpus on other cpu algos, even if xmr is not profitabilty on randomx that just means ill continue to make nice profits on the. other cpu only coins im mining now.

i cant see that happening though, i expect to pay off all 4 boxes in six months max which is 3x better than buying asics or gpus atm.  Of course i also have gpu rigs , all im doing is upgrading my existing gpu rigs to 3900x rigs

to each his own
