685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PoW mining as a route towards achieving a Type 1 civilization and beyond? on: July 07, 2018, 08:20:16 AM
The largest problem we have right now is transportation of goods and services and climate change.
I suppose having more energy would make it easier to refrigerate and transport food from one place to another but right now the big issue we have those two items .

we have plenty of power for a normal human activity things such as he cooling basic transportation Etc.

The thing is it consume most of the power currently generated of our companies like Google’s huge data centers with the redundant triple redundant backup systems department of defense huge data center is in triple backed up hard work hard firewall systems that constantly consume tons and tons of energy and I never shut off .

Also if you do some research you will find it most of the power and fuel fossil fuel consumed right now I’ll bite big transportation containers that transport goods and services for th The millions and millions of consumers in the world that need to have cars foreign goods imported systems and yes your mining system is being shipped via bit mean the air or ground or whatever .

The reason why those higher level switch civilizations need to so much power is similar to ours and is in Sam’s respect due to the fact that they have they will have computer systems so advanced and so powerful that they consume tons and tons of power just across from what they considered minor tasks such as matters such as m matter transfer  , Direct tissue repair from basically atoms,  things such as nano technology Brotz that basically do most of the tasks that we do now such as manufacturing building , etc.

The power requirements for search technology is that So immense that we cannot even begin to fathom them right now so to make a long story short POPOW power use is a very tiny fraction of the issues that we have relating power today was the issues out tied up in transportation and production and transportation of food once that gets solved lots more power be available for things such as my knitting on POF and we can start building bigger and more powerful network systems with the excess power and cheaper  power

vaporware imo, in two months hes mined 20 to 30k of coins , and he can
switch to mine anything else without needed 4% fee bitstreams.  by the time fpgas pick up steam
we will be on to Vega 20s and 11x cards

fpgas are pure smoke ans mirrors hype just like asics , they claim to change the game and help
boost your profitability but there’s always a catch , and buyers always get fucked

the question no one ever seems to ask is why the fuck are they selling these magic fpgas if they are so good
what ? becuase they care about decentralized mining? gtfo

No, I don't think it is going to turn out to be vaporware.  As for why are they selling them if they are so great?  Senseless addressed that question:  He wanted to start his own private farm with 3,000 units but could not find the funding.  No, I agree, this is not about decentralization.  But that does not mean this FPGA thing is going to be smoke and mirrors.  You can quote this:  by Thanksgiving there will be actual YouTube videos of FPGA units wailing away at certain algorithms.  And yes, I did order 2 BCU1525 units.  If I can shrink my foot print, draw less power, and have some hope of reprogramming/repurposing, then I am all for it.

agreed on the YT videos, I will make some of them! Cheesy
we will see but u guys all seem to forget that the curren slate of gpus even vega at 14 nm
are 3 years old architecture, close to end of life.  I doubt that the current fpgas being sold will be 10x faster or more efficient than 7nm gear or even the 11x series , its a better play to invest in crypto or mn coins
and wait for fallout

crazy hash rate thos, I have a six card vega with 2 fe editions and 4 56 vegas

Currently less than 20k for sale on both exchanges combined. It's more rare than unicorn shit
why the price so low tho , volume is low cuz ppl
have not got airdrop
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NIX - Make Bitcoin, altcoins and tokens anonymous with NIX Platform! on: July 03, 2018, 07:18:12 PM
Anyone received NIX Airdrop? Is any link to check airdrop distribution info. How to check airdrop status?
No No and No 🤦🏿‍♂️

kinda iffy to me they have such a small window for claiming but have no transparency
or visibility into claim status

Isn't it sufficient if you just sign up for the airdrop with a wallet and that's it? Or anything else has to be done on our part?
Lol u better watch the video u have to sign your address etc
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4 gh/s Ethereum farm - Running into expansion issues on: July 03, 2018, 05:40:59 PM
i have around the same amount of hash, i have six rooftop exhuast fans and its still not enough

Right now i found just opening the door and installing a screen door helps alot since th exhuast fans are sucking air though it.  We have heavy rains here and ive not had a humidity issue.

the gpus generate too much heat for humidity to form

694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer Z9 mini worth it ? on: July 03, 2018, 05:09:30 PM
740 USD will be the total including taxes. Today a Z9 mini manage 28 USD overclocked to 16000 sols with the BTC price around 6000.  Is the risk really that high that i wont ROI on this investment ? The difficulty has to go up 8-9X for this to happend ? And im not even debating a price increase of BTC then.  Even with an average of 5 USD per day the ROI is 5 months.
Am i being to optimistic here ?

$5 are u counting import taxes etc?
695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer Z9 mini worth it ? on: July 03, 2018, 05:07:56 PM
Hi im debating buying the Antminer Z9 mini second batch. Do you guys think its worth it if i buy a 420 USD coupon for 100 USD +- and get the miner for 591 USD including shipping, excluding local taxes ? If i buy it im planing to overclock it aswell, and im aiming for 16000 sols.  I know the difficulty will probably shoot trough the roof in a month or two, but on the other side the price of the Antminer is pretty cheap with the discount ?

So what do you guys think ?  Huh

better choose some project and invest this import of money diretly and forget about those coins fo a year
hodl & get rich

those asics are good only in the first batch, sometimes also the first one can be ROI = never
listen to this man
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: July 03, 2018, 08:39:02 AM
So I have mined 1 ZEC at almost exactly a week of mining.  Based on prices I can say that 11 ZEC would definitely put me over 100% ROI so 10 more weeks.  I know it won't actually be 10 weeks, it'll certainly be longer, but that looks pretty good right now.  Reminds me of the old days of the early antminers when you could actually make a profit in the long run and ROI was under 6 months.

10 weeks? in three weeks the z9 will make $5 a day
theres tons of batches coming in a week or so, not even factoring in the innosilicon 50sol box
maybe u break even in six months if prices rises

lol 5$ a day in three weeks. can i get some of those shrooms ?

it went from 30 to 15 in a two weeks.. and the inno batches are not even dropping yet
you have heard of this thing called difficulty right? if not two weeks 4 weeks who cares
these things will be in D3 territory soon unless crypto prices rise
