1581  Other / Archival / Re: Why you should not use Paypal for Bitcoin on: October 23, 2020, 11:19:37 AM
Paypal doesn't allow the user to send or receive cryptos, only they allows them to buy or sell cryptos, am I correct?

Use of any centralized service always comes with risk and they clearly stated that you will not be provided with private keys so it just making the people to go towards centralized crypto adoption.
They are more likely to be a third party of this technology just like with fiat currencies. Yes, they are aiming for centralization. Personally I don't have plans buying Bitcoin from PayPal I just like the idea that it may influence and contribute to mass adoption of cryptocurrencies in the future, centralization is another story.
By including Bitcoin, Paypal is expanding its services and its purpose is for the user to have more payment options for their customer list. For us it would be convenient to use it in some cases. It is not the best tool we want because we are used to decentralization, and managing our keys. For a person new to crypto, it may be of interest to buy Bitcoin in Paypal for its ease.
We may call PayPal as a network in mainstream, with that being given, it is more likely to introduce cryptos or Bitcoin perhaps to the masses in this case. But for those who are exposed to this industry, they would probably stick with the old method of purchasing Bitcoin and other cryptos.
1582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking Bitcoin is Scam on: October 23, 2020, 10:14:08 AM

My personal idea is that in the future Bitcoin will control the currency of all countries.
It won't, not a single chance.
First of all, Bitcoin is decentralized which is a downside for majority of the governments when it comes to a currency. Its market value is also volatile, in contrast with the idea that a currency shouls have a stable market value in order to promote equity regarding the world market. Fiat currencies and cryptos are more likely to co-exist in the future than a single currency will be in the center of transactions. Bitcoin and other cryptos are having advantages over fiat but the fact that fiat are more supported across different countries, it will be impossible for it to have a single spotlight in the future. Also, I don't think that is the purpose of cryptos in the first place.
1583  Economy / Economics / Re: btc value and currency inflations on: October 23, 2020, 09:30:34 AM
I don't think the USD will cross the line and become worthless as long as the value of Bitcoin increases the demand for USD will increase and it is possible to get higher prices of currencies. Even if there is inflation in the country it will not have any effect. Crypto, including Fiat, will suffer a lot if the US team loses value. Nothing will happen to the US team so every trader is investing in currencies to get higher prices.

USD value is not dependent to Bitcoin's market price. The market value of Bitcoin and USD are not proportional, it is just that the price of cryptos are determined using fiat but the determinant of the true value of Bitcoin is the demand while in USD is the supply alone, if i'm not mistaken. That's why it became an issue in U. S that trump is planning to print more money which could result to hyperinflation if things will be caught off hand., but that's another case. And I also doubt that the possible decline in the value of USD will be also a burden to the market prices of cryptos.
1584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Towards another gambling site. on: October 22, 2020, 12:01:14 PM
Actually, games of roulette, dice games, and slot machines, in my opinion is dependent in mere luck. I am into card games by the way at this moment. There articles circulating online which includes strategies not only in roulette but also other gambling games. Since I am not into roulettes, my impression still is the same despite of reading some informations in some articles. My reason to this is the word "gambling". It won't be a gamble if winning is certain. But if you are really determined, trying the methods in this thread from ither users, would be a help I think.
Overall it will still rely on luck and those saying it was because of a strategy that's just not true, so stop seeing it as you see in the movies. Unless you could see it coming when that ball rolls that's sure a talent. If I were to learn about roulette gambling is to follow always our intuition, never regret what your choices are, and always play what you can lose.

Not everyone would just accept that luck is the only way to win in gambling, finding some strategy to win and convincing ourselves that this would work is what makes people more interested in gambling, that's my experience as a gambler but of course not on games where obviously a luck based games.
If you are gambling for years already, you might agree to their perspective. If there are really strategies, why are there more players losing than winning in casinos and even in online platforms?
1585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Kell Brook vs Terence Crawford November 14 on: October 22, 2020, 10:48:08 AM
Terrence Crawford being undefeated, has the weight on him. If we would base on physiques, Crawford has the advantages not to mention his counterpunching skills which makes him one of the top pound-for-pound fighters of this date. What I mean with "weights on him" is that many people in in favor of him in this fight. That is how huge the influence of being undefeated not only their career but to almost any competition. But it does not guarantee victory. Things could either go as expected or not. Also, Brook has more experience which could be his trump card in this battle, which makes this match up more exciting IMO.
1586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Momentum Builds for Bitcoin on: October 22, 2020, 09:21:05 AM
Big things are happening right now. I don't consider them relatively little developments even in the short-term. What you mentioned are huge milestones for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general, especially the entrance of Paypal in the cryptocurrency market, allowing its large number of users to buy and sell Bitcoin using their Paypal accounts. All this signifies wide acceptance.
i disagree.
it is not a big milestone for bitcoin at all. a big milestone would be when retailers start accepting bitcoin directly and people start spending bitcoin day to day to buy things such as groceries. otherwise a payment processor with high fees and lots of issues such as chargeback scams letting its users buy bitcoin is not big.
and in short term, it can cause some hype which is why the importance of it in short term is  very small. but in long term as it allows more people to dump their fiat using different methods for bitcoin it is a good thing.
But what happened recently may contribute to the mass adaptation of cryptocurrencies, right? So we can consider it as a milestone already. But I do get the point that it does not guarantee acceptance across the globe. I just choose to appreciate this because it is something to consider as "rainbow after the rain". How? This year has been through a lot both in this industry and world in general. In terms of this market, the prices gone up and down early this year not to mention issues of banning Bitcoin in some countries such as in U. S. This could be a great thing to happen in this industry. Take not of "could be", but atleast it has a chance.
1587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 22, 2020, 07:43:41 AM

P.P.S : I was conscious while I was trying to recover the lost funds and I tried only till that point where I can't afford to lose anymore. I always keep in mind the amount that I can afford to lose.
That is quite related to frustration. It would be greed if you are winning already and still continue playing, eventually ending up with losses, just sharing. Going back, good thing you have reflected in this situation. It would be a good thing to set limits, more likely, label it as an amount you can afford losing because wiining on any game which involves betting, does not determine assured victory. Self-discipline will make it more effective. Knowing what to do will be nonsense if you won't do it. It is like solving a math problem and despite of knowing formula 1 which would be the best way to come up with solution perhaps, you still insisted formula 2.
1588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling thoughts. on: October 22, 2020, 06:24:40 AM

3. How do you manage your lose streak or win streak?

5. What is the best advice that you can give to a gambler?

These questions are applicable to both real time and online gamblers so I'll just point out the questions that caught my attention. Whenever I am playing I limit my losses to only $500usd, whether I lose or win just to give pleasure to myself but also, with discipline, at the same time streaks will be limited if you will set an amount to gamble.  A gambler could go higher with the value of money to gamble, or lower which would be better, just be sure that the amount you will engage to gambling, is an amount you can afford losing. Gambling is full of risks and winning is not certain, so atleast, if ever you will lose, there won't be much of regrets which could trigger frustrations and eventually, bigger losses. No one will discipline you whenever you are playing other than yourself.
1589  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: October 22, 2020, 04:43:32 AM
Why are governments still in control of the money printing process? how has cryptocurrency failed to make a dent?
Are we as a community too scared to challenge the status quo?
This community has no power regarding actions which are in the hands of the governments. Printing money has nothing to do with the cryptos and this community as a whole. The emergence of cryptos are something to make a change but that won't be as easy as it may seem. There is a process before such thing to occur. And at the end of that process, no assurance still that this would be the "future". Keep in mind the concept of decentralization of cryptos. Knowing that fiat currencies are supported by each of the governments, how come cryptos will just wipe these "papers" in an instant? Digital currencies are now being used through various services, but it is a different case if it is crypto we would like to do so.
1590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal is doing it on: October 22, 2020, 02:35:12 AM
After new confirmed, BTC is pumping so hard. Now, BTC is almost 12800$/BTC. How do you think about this price increase? Is it uptrend?
Probably it is. Since PayPal is a huge network, it could also be influencial to other networks and also people to trust cryptocurrencies. This may then build a rapport with this thing called trust but that does not guarantee things. There's still no assurance that mass adaptation would occur but let's just hope that next year will be something positive for this market.
the news printed in severae  major newspapers, the price of BTC instantly skyrocketed to $ 12,700. Not only bitcoin, but some of the top altcoins have also skyrocketed
As what I have read from the article, the implementation would be next year but it did already make an impact because that is quite something unexpected. PayPal is widely being used across countries while Bitcoin still is working with the adaptation.
1591  Economy / Economics / Re: Not enough Corona Virus Vaccine until 2024, at earliest on: October 19, 2020, 04:44:13 PM
Yes, because in 2024 we will all be inmuned. According to WHO, more than 10% of the population of the world is already immune, and i think this is going to be the real vaccine for 2021
May I know where's the source to this claim? Immune means will not be afftected by the virus, which is a bold claim if this is true. All I know is that our immune system is adapting to the environment and is becoming stronger, but not totally immune.
Without vaccine we will for almost sure not see Bitcoin at $20k this year. Next year we for almost certainly will. A lot of things would need to happen for Bitcoin not reach $20k in 2021.

The economy has been restarted in most countries and if the trend continues, then the market recovery will start from early next year. In that case, the introduction of the vaccine is not going to have much impact. Also, even if the vaccine is available, it is going to take at least 6 months to vaccinate all the 7.5 billion people who are living in this planet.
Once the vaccine is introduced, it will generate bigger impact to the world. Why? because the sense of fear will be lessen, that is something they would look forward to. There are regulations and guidelines being followed at this moment and for sure, there is a strong reason from doing so. The vaccine will be limited to some countries at first, but once the idea of its existence is available to the masses, things could more improve that at this moment actions are mostly the "alternative" in order to just continue living.
1592  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic: good for the bitcoin market or bad? on: October 19, 2020, 04:12:24 PM
Good day,
forgive a newbie question please. I am new on the bitcoin scene and I am also pretty fresh in economics. I am learning, I suppose that is what I wanted to say. I was an ignorant for a way to long and now I trying to gain knowledge to be a little wiser. I got a bit lost because of the pandemic and I wonder is it good to invest in bitcoin and stock market nowadays or should I wait and see what is the market response going to be. I was pretty sure I got a hang of it but the situation changes so dynamically that it is hard for me to follow.
I think pandemic is good now in market because many people have no work now and they are want to invest in bitcoin for a short and even a long term. In our situation right now is very hard to find work so we need to find another ways to get income those who have knowledge in bitcoin are investing again to earn while the pandemic is going on.
Where will people get money to invest? Given the circumstances of this pandemic, many people are having financial problems. So I doubt that is something that will oush them to invest in Bitcoin, having no assurance of when will the price increase occur, and given how volatile the market is. People are more into things that would help them in their daily living.

The pandemic is bad for the economies of different countries but not that bad in this market. The market price of cryptos are not dramatically falling and not that much moving in the positive direction, so it is quite neutral in that aspect. But there's also this side of me that is disapointed because there is again high hopes early this year for this market. But since expectations are just expectations, i just keep this thought aside since no one knows if the market will be able to reach or even surpass its ATH if this pandemic doesnot occur. How can I say? Last year is a proof. No pandemic but also, there's no that much of an increase.
1593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you sweep 0.01 BTC from this image ? on: October 19, 2020, 03:35:34 PM
Just checked the tweet and it is hard to tell wether it would be worthy of your time following the instruction since there are no feedbacks of those who tried, which I think would attract more people to join.
It’s been 5 hours+ since the tweet posted, but they said that the fund is still in place.

sounds more like yet another free advertisement of a new service which this time it seems to be a physical wallet type of them. usually these things aren't worth the time.
The post is not having that much of popularity which is quite in contrast with the idea that the price is a good amount already to catch the attention of the audiences. Maybe there are no actual trials made still at this moment. But I will follow this tweet, and once I'm convinced that it is really functioning, i might give it a try.
1594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Normal Game Setup - a success or a failure? on: October 19, 2020, 02:46:29 PM
Still a success for being able to continue despite of the pandemic. Changes are just inevitable in order to adapt with the new 'normal'. NBA as an example, successfully finished this year's league, which I think supports the claim of sports industry for successfully being again on "track". Same thing with local leagues of not only basketball but also other sports. Ofcourse, it is not as easy as it may sound hearing "they just got back with what they usually do". They made adjustments for such thing to happen. The continuation of sports industry does not mean we have already overcome the problem. Existence of it is still there and that is enough for all of us to be careful.

Sportsbetting is also coming back and that is quite of a good news for our fellow players out there which would again allow gamblers to enjoy the game and enjoy playing at the same time.
1595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Discussion topic of the Brazilian Football Championship 2020 on: October 19, 2020, 02:05:26 PM

Does anyone know another site to bet safely?

Sportsbet and 22Bet I think, are one of the good betting sites to engage with. Never tried these two but the names are quite popular, also I heard there are bonuses and also, they do accept Bitcoin and other cryptos as the mode of payment.

Going back, Palmeiras are quite having a good run having 23 titles in Campeonato Paulista and 10 in Brasileirao. It is quite hard to choose which one is/are more eager to get another title. Surely, the next tournament will be again, exciting.
1596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you use to bet IPL in India? on: October 19, 2020, 10:58:41 AM
I am not in your region so I've searched for it through online. I've read an article, the link is below and you may check it out.
Link: https://sportsbetting.net.in/cricket/ipl-betting/#:~:text=Indian%20IPL%20bettors%20normally%20prefer,card%20and%20other%20payment%20methods.

The article recommends gambling sites such as betway, 22bet, comeon!, Bet365, funbet, and 10cric. I am not sure if these gambling sites accepts cryptos as payment since I don't have access in my region, just want to share what I have found and I hope it may help.
1597  Economy / Economics / Re: usa dollar future on: October 19, 2020, 08:55:25 AM
People and companies not being able to pay their debts will have to bankrupt, which means that the banks will take away their mortgages and other assets used to backup their loans.
Money printing is supposed to lead to more cash liquidity in the economy, which means that US dollar will never become scarce, which means that the USD value can't go up due to the money printing.

t b honest you dont know we dont know 100% we can only speculate!!
but what i know is this alwyas act against other people in the world if you want different results in your life !!

those kind of speculations not my type of things , im not gambler neither casino player!
@davis196 Just stated the facts and possibilities with basis, not merely speculations. That is more likely to happen if the government of U. S will continue printing dollars, its value will decrease eventually. But there's also still the possibility of not resulting to hypetinflation because it is USD we are talking about, which is more often the medium of transactions across world market, makit it more powerful than those currencies wherein printing of more paper money resulted to hyperinflation. So maybe the power of USD will be able to cope up the risks from doing so.
1598  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tennis G O A T: Who Will Eventually Be Considered the Greatest of These Three? on: October 19, 2020, 06:12:38 AM
Not really a follower of this sport but I do see and heard these names most of the time when I am reading sports-related article. I made a few readings about these three and Roger Federer is more often being compared to Jordan in this sport. Supporting this claim are his titles, likewise with Djokovic and Nadal. But this is how legacy works, Federer left a deeper marks to the fans of tennis among the three. But given these are subjective opinions, and there's no actual basis, there will be biases for sure. All I know is that these three legends are having their own marks to this sport in particular.
1599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SATOSHI !!! IS THIS LEGIT? on: October 18, 2020, 04:12:05 PM
I've read that news even before.

There were speculations that satoshi = paul and it looks like the evidence was actually going to persuade you if you have read those. But when it comes to satoshi's identity.

I'm no longer interested, if someday he'll appear again, he can prove himself that he's the real satoshi or better let him go alone in anonymity for real.
Another thing is, what would really happen if ever Satoshi chose to appear in the eyes of the masses? Will there be that much of a change in this market? Creators of other cryptos are known to the public but what's the big deal? This aspect is quite unending.
Probably a matter of taking all the credits is the purpose of those who are pushing themselves to the spotlight.
It will be much better for the industry to not know who satoshi is. If we find him, than everyone in the world will start hunting for him
That would be tough in my opinion. Satoshi would more likely be mad rich by now, but to think other Billionaires' identity are exposed to the public and yet they do still manage to live a life, I don't think this would really happen.

1600  Economy / Speculation / Re: history loves repeating itself. the only question is when! on: October 18, 2020, 03:35:52 PM
Bitcoin's price history is going to come back. That is something definitely happening. But I don't think this is it. It might happen within the year or in the first quarter of next year, we don't know. But this specific sudden rise of the price may not exactly be the cue. I guess this is largely due to the sudden inflow of large investment funds especially Twitter's Jack. We'll see in the coming days if this particular pump holds.
Having no assurance of when will such thing happen means there's also no certainty.
well that's what we mean, no one knows for sure when it will happen.
people can only predict based on what has happened.
but the reality is sometimes different and will not always be the same, although in general it will imitate previous history

That's why many of us are expecting a new rise in the price of cryptocurrencies! To then compare with the past... I am convinced that history repeats itself and will surely repeat itself once again! The main thing is to use all the past experience next time! Grin
What if there's just this linkage of similarity. The market price of Bitcoin and other cryptos are naturally volatile, meaning, it won't stay at a certain point for a long period of time. Its price movement can either go up or down without certainty of the occurence. So it is quite blurry to draw a conclusion of history repitition just because its market value is moving according to its 'nature'. We just like to make speculations to uplift our hopes regarding its market value.  The market price will move on its "own".
