Re: Does trading belongs to everyone?
Trading is for everyone.
The question is, does everybody can be profitable in trading? Anybody can trade, but not all can be profitable.

We know that there's no restriction to trading at all. I mean everybody can trade. Just create an account and boom!!!. Anybody can trade with a few touches of their fingers. The question now is, will they be a successful trader and when I mean successful trader, they will be profitable in the long run.

Have read most people topic and comment especially the newbies and have noticed that they are always interested in trading more than holding, and of a true trading gives more profits from my own understanding that is why everyone wants to venture into trading. But have we also considered or remember that most of the compliant here is about trading scam or exchange scam. Since is as a cause of trying to fund their account to trade or either trying to withdraw funds from the exchange.
They want to do trading more than just holding because of the fact that you can get more profits in a shorter amount of time in trading compared to just holding your coins. While this is true, they didn't think of the potential risks and losses that they can get whenever they trading. Add also the fact that they're newbies meaning the chances of them losing money in trading would be higher than those who already have experience because they already know how to adjust while newbies aren't.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion about binance launchpad projects on: April 12, 2024, 04:39:22 PM
Please help me with these subjects:

1. Your general opinion of this. How good of an idea is to invest on new binance launchpad projects at this time?
2. How can I detect the best of them? I know about the usual due diligence stuff like the team, the community, tokenomics, etc. But is there anything else? Like some rating system or a site that reviews them or something? I've found these kind of information about launchpad projects to be a bit rare.
3. If you have any personal preferences, would you please share them? This is a list of binance launchpad projects, newest on top. Pick your best: https://www.coinspeaker.com/ieo/platform/binance-launchpad/
1. When we are in a bull market, most of the altcoins are surging in price. It will only depends on you. What is your purpose? Are you holding that coin for long term? Or for short to mid term? If you plan to hold that coin for short to mid term only (just for this bull run), I believe most of the projects that have been launched on Binance will increase in price during the bull run. Now if you want to hold it for long term, maybe do some research on it, but there's no assurance that the project will become a successful. One thing's for sure though, the project's token will have a price where you can just sell it.

2. How you can detect? You can't unless you have an insider. You can't predict the future of the project. One project can be called the best as of this moment, another one can be the other day. Projects that might be the best currently will not be the best a few years from now. Rating system on different websites will not help you either because there is a chance that the project paid them to give them a high rating.

3. None. I would rather invest into altcoins that are at the lower market cap (around 51-100 in terms of market cap) than investing into these new projects. Even though they are being listed on the most popular exchange, there's a chance that the project could end up as a failed project or at least the project will not become as popular as other Binance launchpad projects out there.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 12, 2024, 03:58:07 PM
Looks like the Minnesota Timberwolves will be getting Karl Anthony Towns back in time for the playoffs. With how well they’ve been playing I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not, but KAT is an elite talent so I’m sure he’ll help out. I just hope Anthony Edwards continues to get the ball as much. He’s playing great.

Honestly, I thought the Wolves might go down in the standings a lot after KAT got injured. To my surprise, that didn't happen, and they are still at the top of the standings. If KAT is indeed fully healthy by the start of the playoffs, then I would expect the Wolves to make a deep run in the playoffs. They have a good chance to make it to the WCF.
Just as expected, he will come back when playoff comes.

TBH, I also expect them to at least go out of the top 3 in the West, but it turns out that they don't solely rely on KAT that much to the point where anybody from the team can step up and can get some wins even without him. Well, they're one of the best defensive right now in the league, and that helped them stay on the top 3. I guess another reason is that, the lead between the top 3 and the 4th seed Clippers is too much that it wasn't enough for them to go out of top 3. Whether they will be facing either the Suns or the Pelicans, they have a chance in beating any of them. I don't see the Pelicans beating them especially they don't have Ingram and as for the Suns, they might have the offensive power, but they still have many problems especially on defense.

I feel like Lakers are having a coaching problem, and it is not even about Ham being a good or bad coach, it is about the fact that the team doesn't look like they care about him or listen to him at all
~
They have been since the start of the regular season.

I saw on a Facebook post that the players want him to be fired and find a new coach because of his inconsistency, lack of communication with the team, many changes on the starting 5, etc. etc. I mean there's many problems, but they choose to let him be the coach at least for this regular season. I will not be surprised if they will be firing him this off-season especially with their current performance and standings.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone play mini-games like mining? on: April 11, 2024, 03:50:36 PM
I see there are many such apps in Google play, some of them look very good, what are everyone playing?
Mining you mean earning money thru playing mini-games isn't it? Because if that's the case then there's 2 possible outcomes that can happen if you will try it.

It's either it will just gather your personal information, and might scam you, or it isn't worth your time. Most of the apps that are "PAYING" those users are just scamming those people and instead, they're just gathering your personal information, but the reality is they will not be paying you. Although there are some apps that are "PAYING" you, it isn't worth the time that you're spending. It's like you spending hours just to get a dollar. In short, it's a waste of time.

Some look very good "ON THE PICTURES" only but the reality is, no one gives free money to the users. As for your question, I'm not downloading any of those apps, and will never download. I don't recommend it to you OP as well. In general, you can't just mine using your own phone, and expect to earn money from it.

Everyone pray for me, that I can grow big like this and fulfill my dreams with Bitcoin like this, Thanks you...
We can pray for you anytime but at the end of the day, it will be you and how you handle your money and investment that will take you to your success.
Congratulations for your achievement, or I would say congratulations in achieving your dream.

Like you, I also achieved so many things with the help of Bitcoin. Buying a smartphone, buying my own personal computer, travelling to places that I wanted to go, started to build my own home and lastly, having my own emergency funds. TBH, I will not achieve this without the help of Bitcoin, and of course this forum as well. Whatever happens, let's always express our gratitude to this forum in giving us an opportunity to learn, and at the same time earn Bitcoins as well. Smiley

As for you OP, I hope that your other dreams will be fulfilled with the help of cryptocurrency, and even though you bought it at a wrong time (at least for me) because in a few months from now, we might see the market going up already, what's important is that you didn't use that money into something bad. Good Luck Smiley
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 11, 2024, 03:31:58 AM
Why is nobody talking about the historic achievement of Celtics when they faced the Bucks? I mean it is more of an achievement by the refs when they gave zero free throw worthy foul calls in favor of the Celtics the entire game. Is it a perfect defense by Bucks? I think it's also a team record for the Bucks since they only had two free throw attempts.

This is how you go as a ref when you want to finish the game early and maybe collect some cash from a bet hehe.
Welcome to the modern-day NBA. Where referees aren't using their whistle anymore because they want to just watch these players playing, and not letting them to take any free throw. Cheesy

It's historic because it's the first time in NBA history that a team didn't shoot any free throws at all. I still remember the time where James Harden is taking more than 10 free throws per game when he's still in the Rockets. Now we just saw a whole team who didn't shoot any free throws at all. It would be more historic if both teams didn't shoot any free throws at that game. On the other hand, I don't see that this kind of game will happen in the playoffs though where everything is just pure physicality. Perfect defense by Bucks? Nah I don't think so. With how soft these referees are in the modern era where they will just whistle even the slightest contact. There might be some deeper reason to it, but I guess we don't need to stress ourselves out for that.

Suns trying to bounce back from a disappointing loss on their home court. Now they are on the road for  rematch with the LA Clippers and currently leading by 10 points. It's a good start for them, they can't allow the Clippers to charge back as they might have some problem in the 4th where the Clippers are usually good.

Booker thus far is leading the charge but they are playing a Clipper team without its starter, so this is just probably a gift for them.
A loss for the Clippers will not affect their standings as the 4th seed so I guess putting your all-star players to rest even on one game is the best thing for them to do. Currently, the Suns are leading, and it would be a disgrace for the Suns if they will still lose into this game because it just shows that the team aren't ready for the playoffs yet.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is alt season likely to be? on: April 11, 2024, 03:10:56 AM
I am currently 100% in altcoins and wondering when we can expect the next big alt season?

I plan to hold all my altcoins till this alt season when alt coins are performing better than Bitcoin and then start putting profits into Bitcoin.
A few weeks to months after Bitcoin's price skyrocket is when the altcoin season starts. At least that's what's my prediction.
2 things will happen for sure though. Altcoin season will come during the bull market, and altcoins will skyrocket in price. The other one is that there will be some altcoins that might not even surpass its previous ATH for some reasons.

Right now, we aren't seeing that much pump on altcoins since we aren't still on the bull market but when it happens, most of the top altcoins will pump in price, and if you bought a few months before the bull run, you might double your money just by holding your altcoins. Not an assurance of course. I just don't know though when will be the time where altcoins will be performing better than Bitcoin.

For me, it would be better to just cash out your profits and wait for the bear market than putting all of it into Bitcoin once altcoin perform better than it. Well, at least that's my strategy.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how do you think meme coinis? on: April 11, 2024, 01:48:49 AM
I often see meme coins on various platforms, do they really have potential? I’m not sure about their advantages, can you guys help me explain them?
Most of the meme coins doesn't have any potential or any use-case at all.
Most of them are being created for the sake of profit. Nothing more.

Some of the meme coins are being labeled as "the coin of the community" that's why they're being created under a specific blockchain, but in reality, most of them don't have any benefit to the users at all except for profit (if they can get out with profit of course). Advantages? I can't think of any aside for the fact that they can give huge profits to a very few investors. On the other hand, that advantage can be a disadvantage of course because not all investors will make profit on meme coins because most will lose their money especially those who got FOMOed.

Overall, some of the meme coins might be a good short to mid coin to hold, but most of them are just trash shitty coins that are being created for the sake of profit.
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 10, 2024, 02:42:46 PM
Lakers vs Warriors, which team will be eliminated first?

Both teams performed about the same during the regular season, and it's not so clear at this moment which of these two teams will be eliminated first. In addition, there are still 2-3 games left until the end of the regular season. So there's a small chance that the Lakers and Warriors might not face each other in the play-in tournament.
The 6th to 10th spot is very tight. So tight that every win or lose from either team can change the standing of other team or themselves as well.
I looked at the remaining games of the teams on the 6th to 10th spot, and I would say that the hardest remaining schedule are the Suns because they will be facing the Clippers (again), the Kings and the Timberwolves. On the other hand, the Warriors for me are the easiest because they will be facing 2 eliminated teams and New Orleans

Overall, I agree with what you said that there's still a chance that both the Lakers and the Warriors might not be facing on the 9th-10th spot because if we see the Suns losing on all of their 3 games, the might go down to 9th or even 10th. The spot for the play-in tournament in the West is still tight and unpredictable. Speaking of the Warriors, they're the first team ever to make 25+ 3 pointers on 60% 3-pt FG percentage or more. It's kind of nostalgic because it looks like we've seen the Warriors a few years ago where they're just shooting threes here and there. Cheesy

Re: How far can BTC go before halving?
With the halving event only 9 days away, I don't think that there will be any significant difference that will happen with the price of Bitcoin.
I also believe that it will not surpass it's previous ATH of around $73,000, and we will be seeing it going sideways at around the $65,000 - $71,000.

That prediction of mine will change after the event. I expect that the market will go down a little bit, giving another chance to investors to buy at a lower price before it goes up significantly. For some investors out there, I think that this time is still a good time to buy Bitcoin although the profit isn't that huge, but profit is profit. Wink
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana - worth it in 2024? on: April 09, 2024, 08:55:28 PM
Recently I dived more and more into the solana altcoin and I wondered wheter it is too late to jump into it or not?
Any top coin's for the next 2 years will increase that's for sure.
It will not be Solana only, but all top coins will increase in price.

We are entering the bull market soon a few months after the Bitcoin halving event and base on my experience, all of the top coins will at least double it's price or even more. The only thing that's not certain is that, some of the altcoins don't even surpass their previous ATH in 2021. I've seen some coins experiencing that, and there will be some this time as well especially those top coins that's considered "unpopular".

As for Solana, it's previous ATH was around $260 and I believe that it will be surpassed considering how it became popular for the last few months. I'm not holding the coin, but I'm bullish about it despite it experiencing some outages in the past.

Re: Why is Bitcoin the best asset for investment currently?
Simply because it's price increased so much compared to any other assets out there.
What asset class can double or even triple it's price in just a span of 4 years? Gold can't do it, so does real estate or whatever assets out there. Only Bitcoin has done it that's why many are considering it "the best investment".

It might be the best investment, but it can be the worst investment as well especially when it enters the bear season where Bitcoin most of the time losses around 70% to even 80% of it's peak price which causes investors to lose huge amounts of money. You said "it's value surges", and it's true, but maybe share as well that it's price goes down. Anyway, we are in Bitcointalk and for sure many users here will agree with what you said. Cheesy
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is one altcoin you will never invest in 2024 even if it has massive pump? on: April 06, 2024, 03:12:58 PM
Which is one altcoin you will never invest in 2024 even if it has massive pump? What is your reason behind this ?
Meme coins.
I don't want to say this because I have a bit of bias when it comes to meme coins but on this case, I will include coins like DOGE, SHIB and other top meme coins out there.

I will not invest into them because most of them don't have any use case at all. They are very speculative that there's a high chance for me to lose my money when I bought the meme coin at a wrong time. I don't want to invest into a meme coin that's price is purely driven by hype because we know that hype goes down gradually. Meme coins for me aren't a good investment for mid to long term, and most of the meme coins for me are considered as shitcoins especially those lower market cap ones.

Well aside from meme coins, I will also never invest into new projects right now. I have this feeling that these new projects are just being created to ride the bull market and after the bull market, they will just be a dead project. I'm not saying that all though, but most and the risk on investing on these new projects are very high.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 06, 2024, 03:02:24 PM
I know, I know that many here are talking about the Mavericks winning against the Warriors, and it's been a long time since we've been talking about the Warriors, that we forgot how awful the Milwaukee Bucks are ever since Doc Rivers handled the team.

The Bucks are 15-16 ever since Doc Rivers became their head coach. What's worse is that, they've lost twice against a G-league team in Grizzlies. You know what's worse than that? They lost 3 straight games already and all of those 3 area against bottom teams. They lost to the Washington, Memphis, and the recent is the Toronto which nobody is also talking here, but they lost their last 15 games before winning against the Bucks.

I mean, many considered them as the team to beat ever since they got Lillard because many thought that Dame is the answer for them to get another title, but with how they played on the last 3 games, I already have doubts. How they can be a playoff contender on the playoffs when they can't even win against 3 bottom teams. Their lucky that the other top Eastern teams lost as well or they might be out of the top 2 spot already. Aside from that, I'm also thinking "What if they didn't fire AJ Griffin at first place? Will the Bucks be a better team now?" What are your expectations towards the Milwaukee Bucks on the post-season?

Re: If you had bought the previous ATH you're on profit
I still remember the very first gaming coin that I bought in 2018. I bought it when the market is about to go down really hard, and at that time, I was a newbie in crypto, and have little knowledge so mistakes often happen. What coin is that? Enjin Coin.

I bought that coin when the market is almost at it's peak still back in 2018, and obviously the market went down at that year and so does my investment. At that time, I don't want to sell my ENJ at a loss that's why I decided to hold my coins on Binance which is my another mistake. Well, I held that coin for 3 years and when the year 2021 comes and I'm already at profit on my ENJ coins, I immediately sold all of it. I think I got around 30% profit at that time which is obviously not worth it. 10% profit per year? It wasn't worth it for me.

Anyway, I agree with the subject title that if you bought on the previous ATH, you will be on profit. The key here is "patience". If you're patient enough to hold your Bitcoins if you accidentally bought it at it's peak, you will still end up getting profits though it will take years before it happens. Most like me have the patience to wait, but some are just making stop-losses which is a better strategy, and just buy it again during the bear market.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is a best way of taking advantage of BTC dips when away? on: April 06, 2024, 01:52:33 PM

Don't tell me to use a centralized exchange, been not active in crypto space means that a centralized exchange can collapse before you come back, I want something in my control.

If you have a better option, don't hesitate to share.
Well, putting an early order on centralized exchange is your best choice when you're busy 24 hours a day. Busy people will always be busy, but if you really want to buy, you can spend a few minutes of your time to keep yourself updated on the price of Bitcoin. I'm a busy person as well (I'm having sleeps of lesser than 6 hours already which makes me groggy all the time) but still, I'm allotting at least a few minutes of my time to keep myself updated. Can't you do that?

Using a centralized exchange and putting an early order is the best option for you. The market will not adjust base on what you're doing lol. The market doesn't care about you, or what you're doing. You're the one to adjust if you want to buy when the market is dipping. You aren't active in the crypto space, but you want to buy? If you want to buy, have some time. If you want profits, allocate some time. If you want to buy Bitcoin, use a Centralized exchange if you're "BUSY", and use a DEX if you prefer to be anonymous.

Already shared my opinion, and what you want will not work for you. All of us who want to make profit in crypto allocated some of our time to keep us updated with the happenings on the market including corrections.
117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quick way to learn bitcoin trading on: April 05, 2024, 04:03:03 PM
Hi is there a quick free beginner course to learn crypto trading anyone can recommend? (no scam we`ll make you money if you give us money links please)

I have a financial background so its not completely alien to me just looking for something to get started
Well, your financial background will help you become successful in trading.
What you don't have IMO is researching skills.

Anyway, it's good to ask here because we have experts here in everything from programming to trading etc. As for course, there are many free courses online that you can use. You can also watch YouTube videos that can help you to start in trading. Just don't expect too much because even though you will read and you will watch, you have almost 100% chance that your first capital in trading will lose. Expect your first capital to be a lost money because that mostly is happening to first time traders. Quick free beginner course? There are many online, but quick profit in trading doesn't exist. Smiley

You already said that you have financial background in trading so I guess what will I say is that, expect for the worst because what you think that will happen will not be the one that's happening. Tongue Good luck OP.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Now Official Currency in Lugano: Another Milestone for Cryptocurrency on: April 05, 2024, 03:30:08 PM
While El Salvador made headlines by legalizing BTC as a payment option, the recent decision in Lugano, Switzerland, allowing citizens and tourists to transact in BTC—including tax payments
TBH, the only significant part here is the "including tax payments" because if we will look at BTC, I mean anybody can just make a transaction using Bitcoin as long as the sender and receiver agrees to it right? It doesn't happen only in that place, but wherever in the world.

For example here in our country, the government doesn't prevent us from using Bitcoin to pay something meaning we can use it to pay something either offline or online. I don't know what's significant with that news. The fact that the government allowed their citizens to use Bitcoin on day-to-day transactions? Well, good news I guess, but nothing significant IMO.

More in the future.

tl;dr
Now, I feel more and more that DRN is a treasure. I believe that as more players and investors realize the potential of DRN, its price will undoubtedly continue to rise.
These are all speculations. Treasure? On what part?
You believe that if there will be more investors on the project, it will continue to rise? Well, it might be but the question is, will the investors realize the potential of that shitcoin you are advertising?

You might attract one or two newbies to invest with that new project, but don't expect too much especially now that we've seen lots of newbies making threads like this. Posting a question then the contents of a thread is something about the project that you are promoting with for various reasons. Did they paid you to create this thread? Or you bought the token, but unfortunately lost your money because the price plummeted already.

Anyway to answer your question less popular = lesser market cap and lesser market cap = higher risk. Promising token? That's just you saying that. We can't see anything promising to that token yet.

If you can't decide yourself on how to invest your hard-earned money, I suggest you shouldn't invest at all.
You have the money, but you don't have the knowledge that will help you decide which coins should you invest your money with. That's dangerous.

Anybody here can say "Invest into meme coins" or "Invest into shitcoins" or "Invest into this type of coin because it will pump soon". I mean anybody can say their token, and some might just PM you and market the token that they're holding or affiliated with. At the end of the day, it must be you who do the decision. Asking here will lead you to nothing, and you might get overwhelmed with the answers.

Well anyway, many already shared their tokens where you can invest your money with. It's up to you now to if which coins are you picking. Good Luck.
