Lebron's legacy will be great if he can manage to bring the team to another win and at least force a game 6.
Why not push a game 7? Grin

We like to see that but it's almost impossible. The Lakers winning one game might be the only game they can win. It's different when the game is played in Denver because the crowd will be fully supportive to the home team on a close out game. Denver can't afford to miss the opportunity to eliminate the Lakers because  if they'll give hope for another game, I'm afraid game 7 will happen.

Let's not be too hype with what the Lakers had done in game 4, after all, the series is still in 3-1
~
The Celtics almost did it last year when they are down 0-3 against the Heat. If Tatum didn't only got injured at the first minute of Game 7, they might be the first team who overcame a 0-3 deficit. They're just one win away, but an injury spoiled the possible finals match-up with the Nuggets, and the possible history.

Anyway, I predicted at the start of the playoffs that the Nuggets will use the *broom, broom* against the Lakers, but it seems like it wasn't the case. Nevertheless, I congratulate the Lakers, and the Laker fans out there, and even though I'm not a fan of either team, I believe that the Nuggets will finish this on their next game. It's good that in this game, Lebron and AD found the help they needed offensively since Reaves and Russell stepped up on offense. The problem with them especially with Russell is his consistency. Can he sustain it for 3 more games knowing that he didn't scored in Game 3? Lebron and AD are very productive all throughout the series, but them alone can't finish the job, and they need help from other players especially on offense.

Anyway, enough with the talk because the Nuggets will finish this in Game 5. The Nuggets are simply too strong for them, and I know many will agree on it.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 27, 2024, 10:13:58 PM
^ I don’t think the Nuggets will be giving the Lakers anything. I think they want another sweep over LeBron to send a message. This will be an interesting game to watch though. I don’t think the Lakers win, but the thing to watch will be DeAngelo Russell and what sort of effort he brings to the table after seemingly checking out of the last game.
Even in Stake website, the Lakers have 2.44 odds while the Nuggets have 1.59.
It's their home court and yet, bettors already know that the Lakers doesn't stand a chance to win against the defending champions.

11 straight losses, led by double-digits at one point in all 3 games, but eventually blew it all out. That's what the Lakers are. Their coach is very uncompetitive and don't know what he's doing like he's an inexperienced coach, Lebron and AD are the only 2 players that are carrying the team offensively, but they need help from other teammates as well. The problem though is that there's no help from other players. Russell who is their supposed 3rd scorer scored 0 pts in a crucial game.

I already predicted even before the playoffs that the Nuggets will sweep the Lakers if they face each other and right now, they're one win away from doing it "AGAIN". I just miss their 2020 roster when they won in the bubble. That roster is their best one ever since Lebron went to LA. 3 7-footers at that time is enough to defend Jokic. Now, Jokic is just toying with AD (the player who said that he's one of the best defenders in the NBA right now Cheesy).
43  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If all your wages were paid in USDT, would you accept it? on: April 27, 2024, 09:52:54 PM
If your salary was not US dollars, but USDT, would you dare to ask for it?
I don't think there's no reason why not to accept it so, yes, I will accept it.

What are the risks? Hacking? As an investor, it's your responsibility to take care of your coins and that includes the USDT that you will get. De-peg? I can't remember the last time USDT de-pegged, so the chances of it happening is kind of low, but not impossible as well.

What I would do though is to convert it immediately either into different altcoin (or Bitcoin), or into our own fiat currency. I don't think that there's any company that implemented this though. I don't think that there's a company that pays their employees through USDT and now USD or their own fiat currency.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you increasing your bitcoin investments because of today halving ? on: April 27, 2024, 07:31:07 AM
Are you increasing your bitcoin investments because of today halving ? For how long do you plan to hold this new investment from here on.
I'm increasing my Bitcoin investments, but not because of the halving event, but because I believe that after the event, we will enter the bull run.

Just basing on the history of the price of Bitcoin, its price goes up significantly a few months after the halving event. I also believe that most of the investors are stacking up some Bitcoins as of this moment so that they can sell it a year from now or during the bull market. As for how long I plan to hold my Bitcoins, I will only hold all of my Bitcoins during the bull market because anytime at that time, I will sell all of it... or at least most of it. I already set my selling targets, and I will follow them no matter what happens. I don't want to do the same mistake that I did in 2021 again.

As for others out there, try to increase your Bitcoin positions as much as possible. There is still a chance for you to earn profit at least. If you believe that Bitcoin will reach $100,000 this time, then you can still make at least 20-30% depending on what time you bought it. You just need patience, the risk your money.

Re: Will MemeCoins Fuel the Next Crypto Craze?
Yes? No? Maybe?
I mean anything can happen during the bull run or in this case, the crypto craze that OP said.

Last bull run, who would've expected that NFT games, and NFT pictures will be that popular to a point where everybody (including me) is investing into it? No one expected it to happen, but it is what it is. If I will say any category that might fuel the next bull run like what NFT did during the last bull run, it will be AI coins and RWA coins. I don't know why, but they might be the one that will fuel this crypto craze OP is saying. As for meme coins, it's a big part of the crypto space knowing that most of them are being called as "community coins" however, I don't see them doing the same as NFT did last bull run. What's sure though is that meme coins will increase in price during the bull market.

Anyway, I might be wrong though and we might see many meme coins projects in the future but for now, it's AI and RWA that I'm seeing.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any airdrop farming which also gives bitcoins in addition to original token? on: April 27, 2024, 06:46:12 AM
Is there current airdrop which is also giving bitcoins in addition to native or original token ? It can be a good medium for people with limited savings to accumulate some bitcoins just by doing some tasks.
None.
I'm not following airdrops that much, but I don't think there's any project in the past that aside from their native token, they also gave away free Bitcoins. Maybe during the days where Bitcoin is still new (like 2-3 years maybe or 5), there might be some new projects in the past that also gave Bitcoin as a free token. That is, if airdrop exists at that time but overall, I don't think there's any.

This is the risk of airdrop especially today that in most of the projects, they want you to at least put some bucks in their project in order for you to receive their native tokens. If not money, they want you to spend more time in participating. Nothing against it though since it's free. Is there any who did this? Free tokens + Bitcoins for free? Just curious like OP. Cheesy

Re: Newbies take bitcoin as long term Choice to get the best out of bitcoin
The problem with newbies right now is that they don't have enough patience to wait for years in order for them to get profit.
This is also the reason why whenever I introduce Bitcoin to other people, I always say at first that "If you want to maximize the profits that you can get in investing into Bitcoin, you need at least wait for 2-3 years at least. If you want to earn profits a bit faster, go trade."

Whenever I say the bolded text to newbies around me that are interested into Bitcoin, they just simply back out because they can't wait for years to get the profit. I also say to them that in 2-3 years' time, you can double or triple your money depending on the time when you are buying it which is true, right? You bought in the bear market, 2-3 years from now your initial capital already tripled. Not certain though.

At the end of the day, I don't want to generalize newbies, but most of them doesn't have the patience to wait hence, they don't want to invest into it. They want quick bucks, but they don't know the risks. They want easy money, but they don't want to learn. They want profits as fast as possible, but they aren't willing to spend a little bit of their time researching.

You can imagine that she told me to give her my words that if anything happens to her funds if invested that I will have to refund her. 😏. That was silly and I felt mad at her.
And right then I clearly told her that I am not trying to introduce her to any of the Ponzi schemes so it is her choice to decide but all I can tell you(her) lastly about this is that your funds will be secured as long you (she) would stick to the terms I have explained to her after explaining the Pros and the Cons to her.

Dear fellas, please I needed to know how you would feel if you were in my position basically where she said I would refund her if her funds gets lost becasue you recommended and introduced her to the system.
What a crazy woman he is. Cheesy
Sorry for the word but she doesn't know the term "risk". She doesn't know that every investment has a risk and because of that, you need to teach her the risks of investing into crypto. Grin

It's good that you didn't agree to what she wants, and I mean even I will not agree into it. It's her funds, and if something bad happens, you will refund the losses while if you get profit, she will be the one who will get it? What an absurd proposal it is TBH. Just tell her the pros and cons to her, and if she wants your help in investing then tell her that you will not refund those losses.

You know what, just let her decide which asset she wants to invest her money with.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 25, 2024, 08:54:30 AM
Lakers 0-2 vs Denver, Miami 1-1 vs Celtics.

What's happening here? I think Lebron has to get in touch with Coach Spo and ask him one more time to join the Miami Heat for him to get a ring. Who expected that win by Miami in game 2? No one.. That's how good coach Spo was, if Lebron stayed with Miami, there's a big chance that he'll get more rings but he thought he doesn't trust the coach anymore after giving him 2 championships.

I can say now that currently, it's coach Spo is the best coach in the NBA.
Who knows? Maybe the Miami Heat will draft Bronny in the next draft combine, and they get Lebron as well. A happy reunion indeed. Cheesy

Kidding aside, I don't think that Pat Riley will like reuniting with Lebron again especially now that they are performing well like in Game 2 where they just won against the top team in Celtics with the help of 3-pt shooting - a thing where the Celtics is good at. Kind of ironic that you're the best team in three-point shooting, but you lost because of that.

Coach Spo has been known for being one of the best coaches in NBA history, and many call him a "TACTICIAN" and it fits well from him. No Butler in that game Vs. 4 all-star players and a bunch of good role players and they still won. The adjustments that Coach Spo did was just amazing. Now what the Heat need is to defend their home court in the next 2 games. The Celtics has one of the best records on the road with 27-14 during the regular season. As for the Lakers-Nuggets, I'll bet on the Nuggets in Game 3. I'll stand in my prediction that they will sweep the Lakers yet again. Cheesy
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why'AltCoin and related projects mostly been promoted by lower rank memebership? on: April 25, 2024, 08:26:28 AM

I've seen many threads being created by newbies in the Altcoin Discussion. Contents of the thread? They will ask a question to users and then they will promote the new project.

Why newbies? Because they can just create an account here then start promoting their shitty project. A high ranked users especially those active ones doesn't want to promote a new project especially if the chances of it being a scam is very high. I will not be surprised if this newbie accounts are being used by the developers of these new projects and they're coming here to promote their project.

Overall, just ignore all of them especially if you don't want to get scammed by these people. We know that the highest risk is at those new projects out there. It would be better to just focus on the top 100 coins in terms of market cap. Lesser reward but lesser risk as well.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The rate of abandoned projects on solana on: April 25, 2024, 07:57:15 AM

Several meme coin projects I bought on Solana has rugged me my hard earn money and a lot of projects are succumbing to rug investors and crypto lovers.
Yet Solana Blockchain network is paying insipid attention to it or no process of verifying a real project before launch. They give room for every one to launch on their network where by bringing fake or scam projects onboard. And I begin to think otherwise, if they really don't know about all this scam projects.
I stand to be edify as I'll be looking out for your opinion in this thought.!
I don't know with this one, but I don't think that any blockchain can verify which projects that are being created under it are legit, and which are scam. Like they always say "A scam project isn't a scam project unless they do".

You bought shitcoins and rugged your money? Quite unfortunate for you, but you're not the only one experiencing that because there are many investors out there that also lost their money because they invest into a meme coin that rugged them in the end. Solana, and any other blockchain don't care if the project is a scam or not. It's up to the investors to verify which are scam and which are not. It happened when ICO projects way back in 2017 were very hyped, and scam projects are very rampant at that point.

It happened as well when DeFi was hyped. It happened again when NFTs are hyped. Now it's happening again with meme coins. The only thing that you can do is to move on, move forward and adjust your strategy. Maybe focusing on top coins would be beneficial for you. Good luck OP and I hope you will not get rugged soon.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the number of new investors reduce? on: April 23, 2024, 02:45:56 PM
The halving was a major event that attracted many new investors to bitcoins, some started investing seriously some months to the halving just so to make some profit from it.The halving was what attracted them, but now that the halving has come and gone, do you think that the number of new investors will reduce for the now until the next halving is close again?
No, but the opposite will happen.
Obviously, many already said to other people that we are entering the bull run a few months after the halving event. This kind of narrative is what investors will thin hence, they will try to enter the crypto market and will buy Bitcoins and other coins to ride the train, and get some profits just by buying the token.

I can't think of any reason why new investors will decrease knowing that they "MIGHT" earn money if they will invest their money during the bull run. The halving event is just an event, but that will be a main catalyst towards the increase in the price of Bitcoin and when new investors heard that they might earn more money through buy and hold during the bull market, they will come and take the opportunity.

I don't know if there was a time where the total of new investors decrease because I always believe that new investors are coming up day after day after day.

Leading by 19 is pointless if you can't get the victory. Players getting hot all throughout the game is pointless if you can't get the win. AD and Lebron obviously tried to carry the whole Lakers team, but it wasn't enough for them to win.

Reasons? Referees of course. Cheesy Kidding aside, I believe that the location of the arena itself affects them because in the final minutes of the game, they look like they're very tired and they're gasping for air while the Nuggets on the other hand have used to this kind of location hence, they weren't affected at all. LeBron now is feeling what other teams are feeling when they give them 20-30 free throws while their opposing team is given less than 10. Cheesy You can also feel the frustration towards AD with that interview. Short answer, but filled with emotions. Cheesy

Well, that game winning shot was almost the same as when Kawhi hit that Game 7 buzzer beater against the Sixers when he was still a Raptor.

Game 3 is the most important, they can't lose that game otherwise that simply means goodbye to the Lakers as no one in the history of NBA playoffs that a team has been able to come back from 3-0 deficit. That was a winnable game by the Lakers, the shots were falling very well, it's just unfortunate that they panic in the 4th quarter which is the quarter that Murray love to play, he loves to take big shots and that winning shot was one of remarkable one.

Obviously this is "all in" for the Lakers, so I'm riding with the team by betting on them to win. Upon checking the odds, they are only +1, so it's not hard to decide to bet on them as you can just take the moneyline and get a better odds if you really believe they can win.

The Lakers are now 0-10 against the Nuggets. Do you still think that they will win at least 1 game on their home.
They will only win if the referees give them 25-30 free throws while the Nuggets will get less than 10. Trust me, that's their only way to win. Cheesy

Kidding aside, I'll stick with my previous prediction on this series that the Nuggets will sweep the Lakers like what they did last playoffs. Jokic is just too much for AD to handle. His footwork and his vision is too much that even AD who "MUST" be a candidate for Defensive player of the year is no-match against his him. TBH, I would not want to go all-in with the Lakers right now. Obviously, the duo of Murray and Jokic can't be stop by anybody on the Laker roster, and Darvin Ham seems crumbling in clutch time, and can't make good decisions. Nevertheless, I still believe that the Nuggets will sweep them. Smiley

No disrespect towards Laker fans out there. It's just my prediction.

These types of contests favor the whales. Well, they are being favored every time, right? Cheesy

I bolded the text so many can see that the contest or in this case campaigns is based on the trading volume. Average investors can join, but their chances of winning would be lower because those who are rich are the ones that will win. If not the rich people, those who are expert in trading are the ones that will win. If an investor will join solely for these types of campaigns, then I guess it isn't worth the try especially if you're a newbie.

It would be better to just trade as it is and don't focus too much on these campaigns. I know that these are being added on these Centralized Exchanges to attract investors, but at the end of the day, your main goal when you're trading is to make more money and not these items. Smiley
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only1 has raised $5 million to build an OnlyFans clone on Solana on: April 23, 2024, 02:23:46 AM
$5M to start the project is really a good one already.

The question now is, will there be adult stars willing to start on this new platform? I mean I'm not against the concept of the project. It's just that, it's heavily reliable on other people to make the project successful. What if there are no stars that wanted to try? What if the marketing of the team isn't enough for the project to propel.

I'm not pessimistic with the project, and I love the concept. It's just that, it seems like they're like the other new projects out there that are doing this because the bull run is coming, and they want to ride the hype around the market. Anyway, I'm not a fan of OF to be honest so this will be out of my radar, but if this will turn out to be a successful project, I might throw some money on it. Cheesy Good luck with the project though.

Re: Runes will be worthless. Don't waste your precious BTC on huge fees.
Why there are still people getting attracted to these kind of investments?

TBH, I don't care how investors invest their money. What I don't like is these people trying to use Bitcoin for their own sake. First, it's the Ordinals that made the transaction fees of Bitcoin rise to a point where it's very much pointless to make a transaction of Bitcoin blockchain. Now we are seeing a "here comes a new challenger" moment in Runes where they are doing the same thing as Ordinals did in the past. Increase the transaction fees to a point where it's pretty much useless to transact using Bitcoin again.

Well, the hype (if there is) around these Runes sh*t will just die down in a few months like what happened to Ordinals and pretty much soon, we will see transaction fees of Bitcoin back to normal. As for now, like what we did when Ordinals increased the transaction fees, we need to find an alternative way to make transactions. Ordinals. Runes. More will be coming soon I guess? What's worse is there are investors who are investing on these type of sh*t.

~
is there any other alternative which is cheaper, as i dont want to use any CEX
Make a transaction during the weekends.

I did made an experiment last week. I tried to make a transaction using the Ethereum network on weekdays and at that time, the gas fees is around 50$ minimum. Obviously, I rejected the transaction. I did try again during the weekends (I think it was last Sunday) and the gas fees at that time is way lesser - around 12$-13$. If you're an average investor, you will find it expensive still. I still find it expensive even though it's pretty low already compared to what it was during weekdays.

I don't know if this is always the case but that's what I saw last week (correct me if I'm wrong with my experiment Smiley). Transaction fees are way lesser during weekend, and TBH I don't know the reason for it. Bots maybe is a factor towards this one but overall, transaction fees on ETH network are very expensive. I really thought that the Dencun upgrade will at least lessen the gas fees of Ethereum to a reasonable price. It turns out that the most affected ones by the upgrade are the ETH L2 blockchains like Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, etc.

My advice? Use other chains.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Worldcoin? on: April 22, 2024, 01:48:48 PM
I think next rally would be AI centered. Who knows maybe sam altman tweets and it pumps. Thats my hope.
Total supply? 10,000,000,000
Circulating supply? 191,797,532

Isn't it a bit suspicious already? Also based on one Coindesk article:
Quote
All 7.5 billion WLD, which will go to the community was minted before the launch, and the foundation aims to allocate 6 billion of those to users, but they will be unlocked over 15 years, said a Worldcoin representative. However, none of the tokens allocated to users are locked up, said the representative. Not all 2.5 billion WLD for insiders has been allocated.

7.5 Billion WLD will be available over 15 years? I don't want to be pessimistic about the project, but that's a long time TBH. They only got hyped because of what they did with different communities around the world. Getting their personal information in exchange for some WLD tokens. They focused on poor people in poor countries so that it will be a successful one. They focused on people who aren't even investing at all. They used the people's lack of knowledge in investing to their advantage. How? They get the personal information of different people and in exchange, they will give them WLD tokens.

As for me, I would rather stay away from this project. I will not hold this coin for the long term. AI centered? They're just using the hype again around AI and when it's over, they will jump on what's hyped again.

My advice
Don't buy bitcoin because you assume that bitcoin price will skyrocket after bitcoin halving, that is a wrong mentality that could lead to depressing results if that failed to happen.
Basing on the history of Bitcoin's price after the halving event, it's price has increased or at least doubled.

I don't know what's your point with your advice but if you will look at the price history of Bitcoin in the past halving events, the price of it increases. I mean it isn't instant, but in 12-18 months, it has increased significantly. I don't know why you are advising it to newbies where in fact, they can just buy Bitcoin, and just sell at the peak of the bull market. History shows that the bull market is happening months after the halving event.

It might be a wrong mentality but TBH, it works especially for those who don't want to hold Bitcoin for a very long time. Depressing results? Nah, I don't think so as long as you don't buy at the peak or near it's peak. What's more depressing is that, you bought at the bottom and you decided not to sell it at the peak for some stupid reasons (like what I did on 2021 Cheesy).
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you see NFTs heading in the future? on: April 22, 2024, 01:13:05 PM
NFT has come a long way, some think NFTs are dead, but again some think NFTs is heading in a way that keeps them alive, I feel that second one is the most reasonable thing.
~
I think there's a market for selling photoshopped art or handmade arts, potentially at high prices. There will always be someone who appreciates your work. I do believe that NFTs aren't done yet – what are your thoughts?
Creating photoshopped art right now is very easy hence, the value of these will almost worthless and with the addition of AI, creating an art has never been easier.
I mean just a phrase of what you want to generate and *poof*, images will come out. If you're good at describing the picture you want, the better the outcome is. Save the picture, and sell it on Opensea. Just imagine how many people can do that? Everybody can do that and this is the reason why NFT's especially those JPEGs and JPGs will not have a significant value in the long run.

Based on my observation, I only see NFTs being used as a requirement for some airdrops for them to be eligible. You need to mint an NFT on their blockchain for a bit of money + fees, and that NFT will be used as a criteria for an investor to be eligible for an airdrop. Right now, that's the only use case that I'm seeing with these JPEGs and JPGs.

Overall, it's hard to predict where NFTs will be heading in the future. They might be sold for a lot or not because they don't have any value at all. No in between.
