Lampard doesn't need anything because the reason why Chelsea brought him here was to have a manager temporarily until making their decision on a permanent one. Therefore Lampard was never going to be their permanent manager. Pochettino and Nagelsmann have been the most rumoured names to sign for Chelsea. First they said that Nagelsmann was close to signing a contract with them but now things seem to have changed.

Pochettino didn't have a great career consisting of big achievements with Tottenham in the Premier League indeed. However this never means that it will stay that way. He is experienced about managing a big team in the biggest European league. Maybe he can use this experience to Chelsea's advantage. Chelsea need a manager who can take the right steps for the team to save them from a deep well.

Sevilla have started to climb upwards in the league as you know. They made me worried for a long time period but at least they saved themselves from the relegation zone by a serious gap for now. It is again up to them not to get near there again. They have two tournaments to concentrate on now: La Liga and Europa League. However right now the Europa League seems to be one step ahead for them.

It is sensible to shift the biggest portion of their focus to the Europa League now as well. Because while they are in a safe position in the La Liga they can just push for the Europa League championship. Because obviously they aren't joining the Champions League in some other way now. The Europa League title is their only chance to make it. As they have a very successful history there it isn't a very low possibility either.

I think that this was a deserved win for Inter in the second leg of their Coppa Italia draw. Juventus didn't impress me much in this match. Inter found more dangerous opportunities to score in number but wasted many of them. Still that lovely through ball by Barella to Dimarco to finish it with a clean touch was nice to watch. We saw Pogba entering in the last ten minutes but this didn't change anything for Juventus.

I think Vlahovic's absence was also a factor for Juventus to lose this match in this way. However I can't say they were good at defending anyway. Inter broke a leg about not winning home against them for some matches as well by the way. The name of the final round is Inter - Fiorentina and I think Inter can make the number of titles 2 for this season by winning this one too.

I think that one thing is very clear for this amazing match between Manchester City and Arsenal. Haaland and De Bruyne were the architects of this huge win by 4-1. Especially Haaland's effort was so special I mean. He came across Ramsdale so many times during the match and Ramsdale made great saves against his shots. But finally Haaland also scored a goal in the last moments of the match. Ramsdale as nearly saving that shot too though.

I think Haaland already gave the message by loosing his hair before the goal.    He made 2 good assists to De Bruyne at the same time. Haaland was literally unstoppable in the attacking line by the way. Arsenal defenders couldn't do much against his dangerous runs into the penalty area. With this loss I think it is over for Arsenal. They can't win the title anymore in my opinion.

If Barcelona manage to defeat Vallecano tomorrow the gap with Real Madrid will go up to 14 points. This means that they can announce their La Liga title while there are four weeks left to the end. First of all I think this has been a fully deserved championship for Barcelona. They have played really great and especially their high effort in defense has been incredible. Their tight defending helped them concede only 9 goals in 30 matches. Can you imagine that?    This is going to be a compensation for the past three seasons in which they couldn't win the La Liga title absolutely.

Now I'm curious about what they will be able to do in the Champions League next season. Because Xavi hasn't been able to impress people even a bit there. Barcelona performed horrible there in this season too. Xavi must be very experienced already and he must have learned his lesson. The supporters will expect a solid run from them next time so Xavi had better focus on that more.

I'm really wondering what has really changed for Dortmund this season. Because technically the squad quality has decreased more after having no choice left other than watching Haaland leave the team. Haaland was the biggest part of the team for certain and I was doubtful if they would be able to keep their attacking strength at a high level. But they really did. New additions to the team have also been helpful and Bellingham is the biggest star of the season this time. He is also likely to leave the team by the end of the season though.

Anyway Terzic came and I was wondering how successful he would be this time. His first manager experience was with Dortmund again in the 20/21 season and he did a really great job. Now we are watching him improving the quality of his job even more. This will be really meaningful for Terzic if Dortmund manage to end the Bayern Munich domination for years. He will be remembered as a special manager I think.

PSG surely have a big respect to Messi. They were on the line right away to sign Messi after seeing him as free agent. Maybe he needed some time to adapt to a completely new team and strategies but PSG officials didn't see it as a problem at all. We have all witnessed how big effort Messi has made so far after starting to adapt to the style of his new team. His contribution level in this season has also been very big honestly.

Xavi says that he would like to have a reunion with Messi if possible but I don't know if this transfer would really happen this summer. Above all else their financial situation will be really important before going for him. Because maybe they can have difficulties again to meet his demands after spending a lot of money on new transfers and salaries. I think it is better to invest into young and talented players for Barcelona.

I don't think it is good for Arsenal if they get even a draw against Manchester City. Because the current situation is already a big disadvantage for them. For now they seem to be five points ahead and still comfortable in the lead. But the reality is not like that I'm afraid. Manchester City have two missing matches to play later on. In case they win both of these matches they are going to be the new owner of the first position.

This would just disappoint Arsenal a lot after making a huge effort throughout the season. This is totally Arsenal's fault of course. Because they drew with their opponent three times in a row recently. This is really bad for a team in a championship race. Their bad defending was the biggest factor in getting these results. They just can't give up this easy in the most critical time period for them.

It is really surprising for me to see that Leverkusen are seen as a bigger favourite than Roma for the championship. Bookmakers are seeing things this way for now but the odd margin isn't that much big either. I'm not trying to underestimate Leverkusen of course. I'm just trying to make a point about the Roma - Leverkusen matchup. Before anything else there should be a very competitive matchup here in both legs.

Roma were nearly being out of the Europa League if it weren't for Dybala's goal in the last minutes. Dybala is still a player who can play a critical role in such moments. Feyenoord were a pretty tough team to defeat and now Leverkusen are another one with similar characteristics. I mean in terms of being a challenging team. Otherwise I don't know if Roma can manage to counter their opponent with their own game.

My favourite for now is Roma but the first leg performances would tell us something about this face-to-face. Leverkusen are a really dangerous team with Xabi Alonso's management really.

I think that it will be better to be patient about Tuchel. I understand Bayern Munich fans for having a much worse season compared to the previous ones now. But they have no other choice than giving Tuchel some time to see what changes. It is still too early to judge a manager. Tuchel is even one of the special managers and he is a winner one at the same time. If I'm not wrong he won the Champions League title with Chelsea in his first season with the team already.

That success really drew the attention to himself back then. Chelsea owner Boehly rushed things about sacking him and the reason wasn't exactly the results. It was related to some financial condition. Anyway he is back in the Bundesliga again with a different team this time. Making the right transfers in the summer can change everything for them again. Top priority must be a solid striker.

It looks like Bayern Munich are still seriously interested in Harry Kane to sign him this summer. But according to some news he doesn't have much intention to leave the English Premier League. Maybe he is a top striker who actually has the potential to play in every big league but he also has priorities for himself of course. I respect his decision and won't criticize it too much. But I hope he makes the right final decision for himself.

Staying at Tottenham will just increase his pain level. Because Tottenham still can't turn into a winner team despite having really skilled players in their squad. It is all about management for them but they still can't find the one for themselves. I think Kane will be out of patience by the end of the season. If he insists on staying in the same league then most probably we would see him signing for Manchester United.

It was a really bad day for Roma. They had a big opportunity to be hopeful after dropping the goal difference to one. But they couldn't even celebrate the goal properly because of getting an answer for that right away. However it was completely Patricio's fault. He shouldn't have made a very simple mistake like that. Pellegrini had a chance to give another hope to his team by a free-kick but he targeted the post.

I was waiting for Roma to have some difficulties and maybe not to win as well. But this result was heavier than my expectation. Atalanta weren't even in a good form before this match. Roma just need to concentrate on the Serie A again. Yes they are doing great in the Europa League and they are one of the biggest title contenders. But they had better secure top four for themselves as well not to risk their Champions League ticket.

Newcastle are definitely among the most impressive teams of the league this season. Who would have thought that they would manage to maintain their presence in top four for this long? They have an average quality squad in the end. But they are playing really dedicatedly and doing much better than quite many big teams this season. That huge victory over Tottenham will be unforgettable for me. All the goals they scored were of a special kind as each one of them was lovely to watch honestly.

Newcastle's joining the Champions League is going to be really important for their chance of signing top players to build a stronger team. This achievement should be very helpful to convince bigger names to sign for them.

There are rumours regarding Neymar to be sold in this summer as well. There were already such claims before too but nothing happened later on. But it was in the middle of the season of course. Now in the summer we never know what he would decide to do for his future. I think he might wait for Messi's final decision to make his own decision as well. Because they are still a great duo and maybe Neymar would like to continue to play with him.

If Neymar and Messi both leave then Mbappe will be alone at PSG. I think it wouldn't be good at all to lose a trio like this. In that case PSG will need to work on building a new trio in the attacking line. At this point Osimhen or Kane might be a good starting point for them but we will see. Osimhen would demand a guarantee to be a regular in the starting eleven for sure. PSG need to be ready for that and we would see the same thing from Kane as well.

Milan will be my choice of betting to advance to the next round as well. I think Napoli were even a much stronger team Benfica in the Champions League this season. But Milan really managed to do it anyway against Napoli and eliminated them. If they can handle the pressure like this in the Champions League they must be able to show a decent level of performance against Inter as well.

I don't claim that Milan were decent against Napoli of course. But they still defended well against them which was the most important point helping them advance anyway. Milan are like in their old times in the Champions League now as they have reached the semi final round. Even if they don't win the title in case of qualifying for the finale I will still see this progress as very successful.

Juventus really could have got something out of this match. First their goal was disallowed indeed but I think there was really a foul there. I mean there were two tackles before the buildup to the goal and the second one was definitely a foul in my opinion. Later on they got really close to scoring a goal to get ahead once again with Vlahovic but Chiesa couldn't hinder the ball getting out of the field by inches before passing it to Vlahovic.

After wasting these chances Napoli surprised them with goal in the stoppage time. Raspadori's goal was really lovely and Juventus couldn't answer them in the same way. Maybe they had time to do so but it was still a limited amount of time. Napoli still won this match despite being comfortable in the lead already. I don't know how Juventus can still lose this home match.

Newcastle - Tottenham is going to be a really interesting match tomorrow. It is important regarding top four above all else. Newcastle are favoured to win this match and the odd gap is quite big as well. I wonder why bookies are this much confident about a win for Newcastle here. I have some guesses for this of course. Newcastle defeated them before in an away match by 2-1. They are ahead in the standings by a missing match as well.

Newcastle's recent form is much better than them as well. Tottenham started to make very simple point losses recently. It is still unbelievable that they lost to Bournemouth home like that. If they can't even win against Bournemouth home then how can I expect them to do it against Newcastle? This is a huge chance to capture a big advantage in top four for Newcastle so I think they deserve to be given a chance for this match.

Guardiola deserves this title this season. The team effort is really amazing right now and they are much better than Real Madrid right not in my opinion. Still the results in both legs might not be very comfortable for Manchester City but they should still be able to eliminate their opponent this time and have their revenge on them at the same time. Manchester City could have eliminated them last season already if that magical comeback didn't happen.

Guardiola is only missing the Champions League title with Manchester City now. They have been very successful so far except that one. While they have a very special striker like Haaland this must be their time to shine. I'm really bored of seeing Real Madrid becoming the champions often. I think it is time to see some new champions like Manchester City.

I don't think Real Madrid have much chance to go for the La Liga from now on. Barcelona just need to be so silly to hand it over to them and that's the only way Real Madrid can perform a miracle at this point. It is true that Barcelona lost two points in both of their recent two league matches. But after seeing that the point gap has become eight points with Real Madrid, they wouldn't continue to play this much complacent from now on.

I will be waiting for Barcelona to defeat Atletico Madrid as a result. They wouldn't like to give any hope to Real Madrid about getting close to a title chance again. Barcelona have been the most deserving team for the La Liga title so far and they should make sure it stays that way. Real Madrid have lost so many points in simple matches and they chose to focus on the Champions League much more instead.

Roma are still in a really good position in the league now after Juventus' punishment has been overturned. They are only three points behind Juventus and still in top 4. They are still in a more advantageous situation than Inter and Milan now and they had better benefit from this situation. Their recent form has been quite impressive as they are on a winning streak of three matches now.

Their next match can be a little challenging though. Because it is an away one versus Atalanta and I remember that Atalanta defeated them already by 1-0 away. Roma will need to play more carefully this time to not get a similar result here. Recently they are already better than Atalanta in terms of performance. Mourinho's system is working great and we are seeing its example in the Europa League too. Even though they aren't favourite team I still don't expect them to lose this one.
