1921  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar - decentralized eBay on: June 13, 2015, 09:23:12 AM

Just for you to know : FreeBazaar is the fork of OpenBazaar using Monero.

If you never heard about Monero, here is the last presentation :

1922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FreeBazaar - OpenBazaar with Monero on: June 13, 2015, 08:14:56 AM

Now that OpenBazar is hyped in the crypto press. You could possibly get more funding for the FreeBazaar fork.
Using Monero instead of Bitcoin is a far superior solution.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR][JPC][TAC][MAX][GRS]Reliable DwarfPool- Anonymous, failover CA/EU/Asia on: June 13, 2015, 08:10:10 AM
1) I don't got 10k XMR
2) The work is still in progress
3) You are not donater

1) I have no idea how much you received and it would be good to have this as a public information.
2) This is why me and some others asked about it. You don't need to feel offended.
3) I gave 100 XMR in January but didn't receive any notification from you https://forum.getmonero.org/8/funding-required/128/openbazaar-pro-with-monero-support?page=&noscroll=1#post-618
I made a public comment instead of a private message. That's probably why you didn't reply to me.
1924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency - 0.8.8.6 on: June 12, 2015, 06:29:21 PM
Please have a patience, OpenBazaar was half-dead from summer up to last month, even with more donations.

What do you mean half-dead ?

(I got only 2.3k$ for the whole implementation)

So you didn't get enough money ?
This is not how it works, if it wasn't enough for you, you could tell us straight and refuse the job or we could wait to have more.

Patience is not be the problem, i think the people would be fine with a little update here and than, but the way no one heard a thing was suspicious. Or in plain german. "Ab und zu mal was hören lassen".

Exactly. I'm very patient but not naive.
When someone get some money and leave, it is called a scam.
If you don't want people to think it's a scam, you update regularly.
Don't wait for people to make bad scenarios in their mind.
In any project, communication is the key.

Is there someone to replace Atrides ?
Or did someone contact him ?

re: freebazaar, this point is so old its getting old. Those that donated get private updates. Also, during the fundraising, there was no cheerleading from the core dev team. I remember being excited about it. I don't have the time to fish and find the posts (maybe Dr. Bookmarks will have them handy). Is it not happening as swiftly as people would like? Probably. But yah know what else has the same problem? Everything in the world thats worth a damn.

Could someone involved in the project (donator) and in the know provide any kind of update on Freebazaar?

No one has mentioned anything at all about it publicly.  If donators have been asked to keep quiet about progress thats fine but please let us know that is the case.

I checked and nowhere Atrides asked to keep this private, so here you are:

Code:
== Wed, Jan 14 ==

Atrides: So here short squeeze of thoughts about payments within FreeBazaar to discuss:
Payments: 1) Direct Payments 2) Payment via Escrow
Escrow: Free multiple choice of options, determined per-transaction:
- simple BTC/XMR escrow (for XMR without miltisig)
- To reduce exchange rate risk USD-stabilized escrow (with convert on exchanges/Nubits/BitUSD/use Bitreserve. That will be explained by Escrow-service. Payments in any currency(BTC/USD) for both seller and buyer.

== Thu, Jan 15 ==
Atrides: I take some time to learn the code and set steps priorities for actual to do. I will inform you next days

== Wed, Jan 21 ==
binaryFate: How is it going? Once you get more familiar with the code base, can you give us a general estimate of the time needed for each further step?
Atrides: Hi guys, I'll offer details this weekend

== Tue, Jan 27 ==
Atrides: Hi guys, I have readed docs and code.
So see one problem - core team of OpenBazaar works very slow. Last commit in dev-repo was two weeks ago. A lot of pull requests with ready code are pinding since october...bad. So I think our commits will be delayed for a long time. Without integration into OpenBazaar we can make it quicker, but within we have already prepared publicity, recognition.

== Wed, Jan 28 ==
binaryFate: I guess you can just work on a branch and keep going even if they don't merge changes back quickly

== Thu, Feb 5 ==
binaryFate: Is anything happening? Are you working on it or not at the moment?

== Sat, Feb 7 ==
Atrides: Hi, yes, I'm working. sadly I cannot work full time because I have collected less, so I must take other projects too

== Sun, Feb 15 ==
Atrides: I'm mostly working on some projects at the same time. bazaar is very important to me, but at the moment is not a priority. I promized to finished, and I will do that, sorry I cann't say on what days exactly I can work. last two weeks I was extremly busy, with no chance to do something else. Your money are not moved from my wallet I didn't sell them and won't do this till monero will rise many times because of bazaar. Next days I push some of commits to github what already done.

== Tue, Feb 17 ==
Atrides: First initial commit, added monero as alternative coin, other commits during this week after tests

== Tue, Mar 3 ==
REDACTED: How is progress? Any new commits?
Atrides: Yes, two days ago, some commits. This week I'll do the rest.

== Wed, Mar 11 ==
Atrides: I have asked developers of OpenBazaar that our patches may be implemented. In original OB Bitcoin is hardcoded overall.

== Wed, Mar 18 ==
Atrides: Hm...still no answer from Devs
Atrides: I pushed new commit. Communications with local monero Wallet and directly payment

== Sun, Mar 29 ==
Atrides: Good(?) news from dev of OpenBazaar, they can implement other coins if external dev make patches.

== Tue, Apr 7 ==
binaryFate:
1) What is the state of the Monero freebazar branch? Is it fully functional? If not, what is missing and what is the ETA for it?
2) Why not release the Monero freebazar code even if it's not merged mainstream by official openbazaar devs? If it's working let's release it, merge can come later.

I can't believe you guys are still mining on DwarfPool.
The admin Atrides is gone away long ago with 10000 XMR from the community.

Come on Atrides, give back the funds or finish the damn work !
At least give us some explanations.

EDIT : I've seen you came back.

OpenBazaar Receives $1 Million in Funding from Andreessen Horowitz and Others
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/39fud6/openbazaar_receives_1_million_in_funding_from/
Awesome news!! We should donate moar xmr to our friend Atrides, hes working hard on Freebazaar - Openbazaar fork /s
https://github.com/freebazaar?tab=activity
Yeah, OpenFreebazaar appears to be a scam at this point (whether originally intended to be or not).
You mean FreeBazaar?
I doubt OpenBazaar is a scam, with it having just received 1 million dollars.

1932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] Poloniex - Crypto Exchange with BTC/NXT on: June 11, 2015, 08:28:27 PM
I've been away from my poloniex account for a while, but today I noticed that it says I must provide names and national locations in order to make deposits and withdrawals, why is this, and how do I opt out of that?
They made the changes a few weeks ago to comply with regulations as they are in the US.  They did so with very little advance notice which pissed off many people.  There are 3 levels of verification and the more info you give them the higher your daily withdrawal limits are.  You described level 1, the lowest level, providing your name and country.  There is no way of opting out AFAIK.
So that means funds would be held hostage unless you divulge info you don't want to release?   The opt out option should be if you don't want to comply you withdraw your funds and close the account.

There are no mandatory informations.
You can type any name you want and withdraw your funds.

Well I just tried 2 different times to create an account/wallet on MyMonero.com and got "server error" each time after tediously writing down the mnemonics each time. I was on the latest version of the Tor browser bundle if this makes a difference.

Tor is not 100% safe. There was cases of people getting their wallet stolen using blockchain.info through Tor because of corrupted Tor-nodes.
I don't know if theses flaws has been addressed today but I would be careful.
You better use a VPN.

Non, superresistant, même lui est de la partie   Grin

I'm here ironically.

Yes it's dead for the easy altcoins pump and dump. No one is investing in this kind of coins any more.

Either you become a professional altcoin trader,  invest in serious projects or provide a real services for people.

I had a nice advertisement up for about 20 minutes Wink

Bump because it is an awesome idea.
agar.io have a huge traffic and allow us to advertise about Monero while having some fun.

Bonjour,

1939  Local / Altcoins (Français) / Re: Sur quel altcoin me porter ? on: June 11, 2015, 06:20:59 PM

Just a bump to remind that everything is running fine on the pool.

Happy mining.

Thanks.
