41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venezuelan can now renew their Passport with Bitcoin as payment. on: June 25, 2020, 10:09:14 AM
This is really nice as it represents trust on BTC from the venezuelan government... so if your government accepts payments in BTC, why wouldn't you? and this will also get a lot of people looking at this payment option and maybe learning about BTC and how to buy it...
Really good also because if the Venezuelan government adopts BTC as currency, we may be watching the beginning of a use case that we have all discussed about and never seen live, the economic recovery of a country with the help of BTC
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prove that Crypto mass adoption is getting in place on: June 25, 2020, 10:00:23 AM
Well, this type of news is common and usually is not true... I have been reading about this kind of stuff for years now...
These large companies are looking to improve their profits and the crypto market and supposed digital adoption are unexplored domains for them to find new ways of profiting... it seems that these giants will rather build their own centralized controled "cryptos" than adopt something like BTC, just look at facebook...
So, if they will accept btc, this will be good news.... if they are building their own asset it is not so good news
43  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Officially Announces New Features and Benefits for Users on: June 21, 2020, 09:16:09 PM
I think this is a cry for help... these guys must have lost a number of their traders when they hijacked their accounts and demanded for KYC, and now with the centrallized exchanges loosing their momentum, they are trying to secure a business that is slipping away... DEX are here to stay (but also not 100% secure, by the way - cryptobridge)
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE ORDER OF ALT PUMPS?? on: June 21, 2020, 09:09:14 PM
I think there is no special order on this... the market will follow BTC (more than 65% influence on the market) like it happens every day... than the alts will pump, some more than others, some before others, but it that depends on many things... I don't see room for a special pre-defined order...
but that is just my oppinion
cheers
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee 2020 Prediction on: June 19, 2020, 08:41:20 PM
Legendary McAfee is an artist to say the least, a very good marketeer that knows how to sell, but he has exausted a lot of his credibility so many times already... he always leans according to the wind and the money flow...  Grin
I don't think he will fullill his promise or that his statement will turn out to be true... we'll be lucky if btc passes it's ath this year
but, who knows... fingers crossed anyway
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 40+ crypto companies comes together for one solution on: June 19, 2020, 08:36:30 PM
This is a very good piece of news my friend, union is the thing that is definitely lacking on the crypto world and one of the main reasons why fiat is still everywhere instead of crypto... divisions upon divisions have weakened the weight of cryptocurrencies both economic as well as their credibility...
An union like this can change things deeply and make adoption possible
47  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can i start forex with no risk of money? on: June 19, 2020, 08:32:20 PM
If someone suggests you a way to trade without any risk, he will be scamming you for sure... even if you have no knowledge at all about trading, surely you understand that if someone would have the magic formula that would allow you to get trading profits without any risk, this someone would be the richest person on earth and would not share his secret with you :p
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Crytopcurrency on: June 18, 2020, 08:45:35 PM
I think that printed fiat money is definitely comming to and end, the world has gone digital and all our lives have become digital... I think it will be a matter of time until printed money is gone... In my oppinion the real danger comes from national cryptos or facebook libra, that are in fact a modernization of fiat currencies and are still under control of a centralized entity (the control level is even higher than with printed money)
We need to spread the word as people must learn a lot in order to be able to choose wisely
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be the ideal currency of the future? on: June 18, 2020, 08:41:39 PM
I think that BTC lacks the useability to turn into an everyday currency... I do agree with some of your points mainly in relation of store of value, but the lack scalibility (for billions of users) and the transaction cost and time (it remains to be seen if the LN will be widely adopted and if it really works) tackle the possibility to use it as an everyday currency...
As for control... at the moment the market is small, so we have seen some examples of whale action....
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be taking 1st place in 2020? on: June 18, 2020, 08:37:27 PM
Even though i think Eth is a very promising project I don't see it getting first place... I mean, we have already seen very good things from Eth, both in technology and useability, but it is really far from BTC in terms of market cap and in the end these two are aiming for different use cases for us to make a direct comparison like that...
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin market cap on: June 17, 2020, 08:57:33 PM
This is an interesting point, the main problem is that most of your idea is based on assumptions, who knows how much btc is lost? where are those 30% comming from? and how can someone know how many private keys have been lost? can't some also be found again?
A very interesting subject as if there were any trustable data on this, it could heavily affect price of btc...
For now a value like a market cap can't be based on assumptions... i think
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Want to hide mining on: June 17, 2020, 08:48:16 PM
I think VPN will be the only way to effectively hide your IP... but be carefull as some of the VPN companies are not so secretive about keeping their users information...
good luck my friend
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion on stable coins? on: June 17, 2020, 08:42:57 PM
A stable coin, as the name implies, should be stable over time and always retain the same value independent of the market changes. These are used as digital fiat currencies to store profits/savings safe from price fluctuations. MAny people take advantage on stable coins converting BTC to stable and vice-versa accodring to btc fluctuations...
in my oppinion stable coins are not an investment
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: For real? on: June 14, 2020, 09:26:14 PM
And since when do things go according to predictions? I think predictions are just that... it often goes the opposite way...
Anyway, I sincerely hope this guy is correct and hope I'm here to see it, but I wont wait for it as BTC has a temper and likes to go the opposite way...
Maybe we'll have a good end for 2020 after all the negative stuff this year has brought
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Watch out for the following on: June 13, 2020, 11:34:11 AM
Newbies like myself be warned, don't make crypto decisions because of the following, they are very misleading and extremely danger to your money

1. Crypto Analysts predictions
2. Hyped projects by billionaires or known people e.g McAfee
3. Going into futures and margin trading when you haven't even mastered normal trading

Seek for answers and you shall find, knowledge is power

Congrats! i think you have sumed up the most important things to avoid while deciding about a project... it is difficult not to be amazed when you arrive, but people need to focus and think for themselves to learn as much as possible...
The plan will fail some times but if you avoid these 3 points you are increasing the odds
cheers
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I 'delete' useless tokens from my wallet? on: June 12, 2020, 09:16:18 PM
Blockchain and smart contracts would be worthless if it would allow someone to just delete a few tokens and keep on going... like it was sai previously, there is no way to do this, you can choose for MEW to not display these tokens, send them somewhere else ~(need to pay fees), or just createanother wallet to send your valid tokens (need to pay fees)
I just leave them alone and they do not bother me Smiley
57  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade isn’t for Me guys. on: June 12, 2020, 09:10:17 PM
I think that trading requires a lot of patience, study, experience and luck... patience and study you can acquire if you work hard and focus, experience is something that can be found by actually trading and failing... luck is the one you cannot control...
I am also not a natural trader, the chart always draws the opposite of what i'm thinking... and my entry and exit levels are usually messed up...so i just hold in hope for better days  Grin
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Covid wave vs Bitcoin on: June 11, 2020, 08:31:42 PM
It seems that BTC price is also under heavy influence of the money movements that hit stock markets... it is natural I guess as the fear and uncertainty of an investor will pass to all its investments, including BTC...
Or we can see it in another angle, as the whales might be taking advantage of this to grab all the BTC they can at low prices before they pump it... and in this case it would be a matter of the amount of BTC still available to sell ...
It will be interesting to see what happens...
59  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why We Need Women In Blockchain on: June 11, 2020, 08:24:40 PM
I think the trick is to treat everyone equal, does it really matter your gender? being a feminist, a macho, a female or a male should end up in the same thing... they will both be investors, traders, writters, coders, developers, entrepeneurs, etc...
I am sure there are a lot of women dealing with blockchain, maybe the reason why so many males show up around here is because in a lot of countries the access to technology and free time is still not the same for both genders...
60  Economy / Speculation / Re: Continue to Hold your bitcoin on: June 11, 2020, 08:21:02 PM
I think you have made an interesting correlation... I was planning to hold my bit of BTC as I am convinced that it will be going up any day now... these moves are clearly made for people to sell out all their holdings while others fill up their bags to sell on the next surge
Patience... mostly everything is about that
