1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Millionaire Remains Optimistic About DOGE Despite Significant Losses on: August 24, 2023, 02:27:45 PM
One investor, Glauber Contessoto, experienced a significant loss in his Dogecoin holdings, going from almost $3 million to $50,000.
This is a huge feat. Surely he is down a lot and probably thinking of filing suit. But then again, its his money and choice to buy dogecoin during the time it is worth $3m. Im not sure how this could be remedy, maybe in time if another bull season resurfaced. But thats not a guarantee even dogecoin has a potential. Market is volatile and we cant predict hows this gonna happened.
1042  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: August 24, 2023, 03:21:28 AM
Mixers aren't creating scammers. Mixers aren't producing hackers. Mixers aren't law enforcers. While they have responsibilities, they aren't built and designed to catch criminals and seize dirty money. Privacy-loving individuals love them.
This is right. However mixers attract those money laundering due tho this concept as I explained earlier and since it is decentralized, even mixers are dragged to it. They arent built for hunting down criminals but they are the platform at the middle we all knew Government would love handy things and evidence on the table already. Thats why this incident happened. I feel bad for the developers but with our current state they should expect something like this since their platform was used like scene of the crime.

My point is that this is obviously selective. In other words, this is repression against crypto innovations. They're obviously suppressing the technologies that promote privacy and independence.
Yeah kinda get you mate but the question is how can we change that. See what happened to those developers even they arent ar fault here they take the charges due to that fact. This is really a crazy mixed up. So Im not sure the debate on centralized vs decentralized would ever be coincide in the future. Hoping one day it is.
1043  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: August 24, 2023, 01:46:55 AM
I don't agree. Why can't we blame the DOJ? This is unfair. If there's money laundering, they should pursue the launderers. If there's money involved in a crime, they should seize the money and arrest the criminals. Why arrest those who simply wrote open-source software?
Well thats something we live off up to today isnt it. We all knew Government is unfair but who can stop that? We all want the decentralized space we can work on without any restrictions. But remember there are people who got affected by those scams. Maybe mixer should make a way on how to ban those potential scammers cause their are the one making it happen. I think they are having a hard time to catch those who did without linkage on mixers cause definitelt on the platform we will see who do those crimes. Its not the mixer fault, that scammers go to them but the idea of how the mixers work? I think they love that. Government are angry maybe because they thought Tornado are tolerating this kind of activity.

I love using crypto! But how can we fight a system of the government that only favors to them? Im pretty sure those developers of Tornado are pretty mad about this case but the heck decentralized will always be opposed by the government even though we knew that they are the one doing the inside job using banks.

My apologies, however, the type of attitude similar to your reply should never be accepted in the cryptospace. Is wanting more privacy really a crime?
I didnt say its a crime dude. Everyone wanted their privacy remains and anonymity. But the case on mxiers they are being mix with those scammers and taking advantage of that. Im not sure if you are aware how government works. They will literally do anything to fight scams and incident like especially we dont havee specific regulations on something like this.

Using your argument, does the government have the right to indict all of the Monero developers only because they developed a cryptocoin for more anonymity?
Im referring to the scams activity being done on the platform. Monero didnt do any? Why would they do that.
1044  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: August 23, 2023, 11:46:04 PM
Yes this is trending as of today in every social media. It says that they knew that a notorius Lazarus group one of the hackers who stole a lot of virtual funds are using their services and yet they didnt do anything to stop or hold it means they allowed a crime.

Im not sure what would others say about using mixers. Yes its for usign crypto for privacy, but we cant deny the fact that aside from this particular reason. Scammers arw gonna use it tp hide their scent or crime by using mixers. Cant blame the DOJ on this one. So other mixers might be in trouble too. In relation tok this big case being done on Tornado.

Even new or small mixers might get in trouble too as for sure scammers are already using those. Does owners of mixers can ban wallets or known scammers address for usage? Maybe this can help to make them free from charges like this and avoid incident like what happened to the Tornado founders.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you gained anything after the end of bull run? on: August 23, 2023, 06:08:35 PM
Now the bitcoin was crashing the entire market, the price of bitcoin was impacted many cryptocurrencies. The bull run was over already and only the blood path is going now, most of the traders just holding their coin. Now it’s very hard for the market to recover from the bear market,it may take a two week of time.
Only two weeks of time? I think it needs months to years to recover and even surpass the previois bull run. We are close to bitcoin halving, I remember how the hype of bitcoin move and its literally trigger the bull season last time. Who knows if its gomna be the same or not after the event. I guess its only ome way to find out is too wait for that moment.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you gained anything after the end of bull run? on: August 23, 2023, 03:35:06 PM
Last bull run was 2021 and after that, altcoins price dumped a lot. In 2022, we noticed a little pump and in this year 2023, altcoins pumped a lot, if compare altcoins price chart after end of bull run.           So have you able to gained anything after the end of last bull run? Or last bull run makes you dumped and you are still trying to regain what you have lost?
Not sure still got some plenty of loses from the last major dump. But its good that its recovering now. Yes there are gains but still in loss due to bigger dump after the bull run. I think the only way to recover is to experience again another great bull season in order to regain everything back. But took some profits last bull run anyway. Thats a big lesson learned for everyone to take profits when its still in pretty good shape.
1047  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Keep Emotions in Check and Maintain Strategy as a beginner on: August 23, 2023, 09:38:10 AM
Keeping emotions in check especially when you see your portfolio down by 80 to 90% is something hard to calm and be at peace. Or course we could try to remedy that and make ourselves familiar with how to handle those emotions. But no one can ignore it like a simple problem at all.

As a beginner you must try it out to be confident and experiencr how to lose so you could feel the actual on the matter. For sure by that time youll definitely see and find ways to have confident to surpass that fear.
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any thoughts on Friend(dot)tech circulating now on Twitter? on: August 23, 2023, 08:27:41 AM
Yeah, I don't trust it too. Influencers on Twitter are trying to promote it too aggressively, but trying to look like they are not promoting it. It's always something that you shouldn't trust.
You think we trust that also? We dont too. As this platform is relarively new and not yet proven to be a long term project yet. We just riding with the hype and possible money profits with the system. Its not like we are gonna invest a lot in here. Its a protocol to put only money you can afford to lose especially for a project that arent sure to last for long time.
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any thoughts on Friend(dot)tech circulating now on Twitter? on: August 23, 2023, 04:38:05 AM
In my honest opinion, I think this trend won’t last long. Maybe giving it at least a couple of months or less in my own perspective and insight.
Yes we also expected that. Trend always change at crypto so we should always be at alert cause we can feel if the hype is over. But I think until the airdrop points discuss by the team and reach the concluded possible drop thats where it end. In just mu opinion only.

I think friend tech is a Ponzi-type scam. Don't import the main wallet. Just create a new wallet and send little funds to it. Because there is a possibility of getting scammed by friend tech. This is my idea. Also if you are referring someone, you will get points.
Yes obviously its system is a ponzi scheme but if you try it out youll see the whole process as convenient and not a bad idea. You think CTs would do a vulgar ponzi if they dont like what they earned. Keeping safe is to only send funds you willing to play and withdraw once you earn.
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any thoughts on Friend(dot)tech circulating now on Twitter? on: August 22, 2023, 12:02:28 PM
Ya, this is mostly for influencers and bots. My profile shares were instantly bought by bots the moment I registered. I can see why they're botting it though, buying some influencers' shares early and cheap is guaranteed profit.
Yes me too like what the hell I thought I have a fan already but buying 3shares of mine it was already and hoping for a quick bucks. They likely to succeed as long as they got some funds spare to try out every new created account that pass their radar.

Guess we need to find some hidden gems among CT profiles Cheesy
Have tou followed this account? I think he is updating the newly created account. https://twitter.com/friendtech_live?t=-_B8szyFsL-hj8-j5LAO4w&s=09

He got also telegram channel for update the new accounts. Hope might help if you are farming new CTs
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop instantly to our wallet on: August 22, 2023, 01:38:00 AM
What's the point of distributing a bunch of tokens that cannot be traded? Doing a simple join task in exchange for a token reward always ends up becoming useless.
Thats probably beneficial on their part. Sometime this free airdrop or tokens are just a token of appreciation for joining then those who ask to participate gonna use your joinining for engagement or as followers, then change name again to another project until they farm users or airdropper for what? If you gained a large telegram group or social account with bunch of followers they canbuse that for monetization isnt it. In any case the one got used are those hoping for an airdrop.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any thoughts on Friend(dot)tech circulating now on Twitter? on: August 21, 2023, 11:21:56 AM
Not exactly bullish on it, but it's a really interesting experiment and I've had a blast using it (even if the platform is currently very shite). Also, I hope I get an airdrop lmao.
Oh yeah its quite an interesting experiment. Quite jealous of those famous CT who are ripping some trading fees and not even require to have their own shares. Probably more influencers, artist or even vloggers will join this to earn free money from us (Cheesy)

The codes. Its also good thing they got a code for invitation and this wouldnt spread like wildfire. Ive got 3 invite codes too. Will be giving that also here if some wanted to try it out.

I dont have yet points and waiting till friday for update and I just started last night. Do you know how the points or activities needed to gain points? I think the codes arent basis of it or also part?
1053  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to smell fraud in projects and detect Ponzi schemes from far as a Newbie on: August 21, 2023, 03:35:26 AM
Sometime we already know its a ponzi but still we are going for it. Why? In crypto being risky is a very common ground especially for shit worth looking projects. All the info you said is correct and thats what everyone should be focusing. But if the project has certain traction, some people even intelligent one forgot the purpose of the project and as long as they see money printing about this one they join it. Regardless if theres a cross check on the points you provided.
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Any thoughts on Friend(dot)tech circulating now on Twitter? on: August 21, 2023, 02:51:27 AM
As far as the title goes, surely some of you have noticed this trend about the social thing on friend tech. Lots of influencers have gaining extra money and eth upon creation of their profile which were bought by other people and collecting massive fees on trading and the value it gives them. Ive tried it out to see how it goes and it really favors CT and influencers that are famous. What are your thoughts on this? Ive seen some doing a quick buck trading as well. Its like a systematic nft trading but with the use of profile as commodity.

Not sure the trend will stay strong as some are just making money when the price rise up already and sold. Wanted to know anyones opinions. Or does anyone also try it already? They have a point system which updated every friday but not sure what this for, could be an airdrop thing.
1055  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: YOU ARE LUCKY TO BE IN THIS FORUM on: August 20, 2023, 03:39:35 PM
Got a point. Without this forum I probably knew bitcoin and crypto as a simple investment like normal stock on the market. But with the things Ive learned here and earned through different methods are undeniably the best experience for me related to crypto. Youll learn things on your own and youll remember that its not easy at first but now when someone talking about it youll just smile and nod that hey I know what their talking about. Cheesy
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Monero so unpopular? on: August 20, 2023, 02:04:41 PM
Privacy is a necessary feature in my opinion, but why hasn't Monero become a main coin?
I dont think its not a main coin. Being in top 100 projects based on coingecko and coinmarketcap is one of the main coins or tokens. Its based their listing on marketcap and they have a huge one compared to other competitors. Not to the point that will head on like bitcoin since its really the number 1 coin. Privacy is important too but with the case of monero many exchanges wouldnt like their style thats why some got them delisted before on major cex.
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New bull market or new bear market ahead? on: August 20, 2023, 12:37:57 PM
Upon seeing this comment I just realized that we are in a ghost month. It's a Chinese belief but knowing how big its economy is and its worldwide contribution then I won't be surprised if many non-Chinese are also practicing the same beliefs when it comes to the open market.
Yes with that scenario Im sure even non Chinese would eb caution. But if you are a holder, then nothing to worry cause everyone knows after the ghost month it will be the real market movement. This drop is now occuring due to that reason but as September approaches that will be the start of a new market trend.

If you got more stables then you could add many altcoin in this bargain sale.
1058  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Factor behind the rise and fall of Bitcoin price on: August 19, 2023, 11:52:23 PM
Theres a gap in bitcoin cme that needs to be filled probably will touch down for that level and eventually do a reversal. Market seems to be roller coster ride for now and the fact that this is ghost month right now. Many factors affecting it but mostly through trading perspective. Some fundamental might pulled it down but its obvious that there is not much volume thats why its down.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New bull market or new bear market ahead? on: August 19, 2023, 11:40:39 PM
Right now, it is looking very bearish for our coins because recently, we had a big loss. Bitcoin and Ethereum almost dropped 10%.
But Bitcoin and Ethereum are still up from previous gains.
It is very difficult if we will have new bull market or new bear market ahead.

What is your personal expectation?
Relax mate. We are in the midst of month of August and this is the time where mostly believe of ghost month where everything went down. Obviously sensitive traders and people who are into this belief are probably converted into stable for a while and waiting for this to end and surely will buy back once the market regain again. I dont know but its normal when this month arrived. Btc and eth chart are both fine and we just need more volume to compensate those -10%
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins airdrops you received so far for the year 2023 on: August 19, 2023, 02:57:39 PM
How's everyone doing with SEI airdrop? Cheesy
Im happy mate I didnt do sei testnet haha save some time for the effort and time doing various task. Kidding aside, this is worst for our testnet participants receiving candy tokens from a very hard task. Though Im kinda expecting the results since they are gonna reward too many wallets with a limited budget that includes unexpected introduced criteria like the othet network interactions.
