Blown away we went sub 200.
Also 0.005? Lol.
I guess I was wrong about 700usd this year.

I think its such a shame. I thought after this bull wed be resting on 350-450.

What can you say.

Brutal action, but you can say that it is May, and the year is far from over?

Next i expect t hear that Mt. Gox is not solvent, and the mastermind of The Silk Road is behind bars.

Nah.  Too unbelievable.  So Much FUD.

Every major miner has now signalled for the taproot upgrade with at least 1 block. It's takes a little while for their entire operation to signal every block, so we will miss activating taproot this round, but next one it is definitely going to happen. Good news in an otherwise shitty past day.

https://taproot.watch/miners

Anyone have a good ELI5 link for taproot?

We are born as babies and babies are not born with hate ore racism, all bullshit, it's being learned through society and society needs to change and to change it we need to start changing the financial system first to reach world peace. That's why Bitcoin is extremly important.

Stay positive. Your thoughts will be your words, words will be your deeds, deeds will become your personality and that will determines your destiny.

Make love not war!

(Out of merrits so i can't send a few to Arriemoller and Farmer Bill.) Sad

Great! There are no winners in war, only Losers so spread the message of peace acrss the globe.

Oh come on, that's hippie talk.
Was there no winner when the allied beat the axis powers?
Was there no winner when South Korea pushed the communists back above the 38th parallel?

Banksters are the winners of every war.  Its a fantastic business.

Any thoughts on where we go from here?

Still expecting 1000usd +?

I give less than 1% that $1000 Monero will not happen this or next year. Even if next month China and USA ban Monero it will happen since that is only a bit more then double the price from right now. It would have to happen some catastrophic event that is not yet priced in.

So you see a high profile Monero ban as a springboard for the price?

I have not settled on this issue yet...  I could also see the price suffering quite a bit in the case this happens in the short term.

I dont think that should change Monero price much. Biggest holders of Monero already have that priced in. Some people will sell because of ban other people will buy because talk about BAN in media will for the first time present them what Monero is.

I think you're right, but 700usd this year sure is looking good now.

but might be delayed till next cycle with how weak the market looks right now.

Meh.  2X is an overnighter.

What, where we went from $250 down to $30 in April (May?  It's been a while)?  That seems unlikely.  I unlike it.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 08, 2021, 06:20:18 AM
Just bought monero. I'm so gonna regret this. (that I didn't buy more)

No seriously, do you believe in the S2F model? It promises more than $15,000 by the end of 2022.

   Seems reasonable to me.

The next 1st world problem we're going to have is adding a few decimal places on-chain. Hopefully direly needed soon  Wink

Seems to me that a satoshi can be equal to anything between 1 and 10 cents USD currently and we would find it generally useful.  Especially since the lightning network ALREADY handles amounts to 1/1000 of a single sat.  Then, even with 10 cent satoshis we would be able to transact at the granularity of $0.0001.

1 cent sats puts us at Gold market cap, and 10 cent satoshis match us to the worlds broad fiat money.

We may never need to divide further depending on how the network evolves to be used.

Dollars are the new Cents.

260k followers twitter account is saying only way further is vertical. Such vertical breakout would probably push price way over $1000. Wonder how long we will have to wait to see it.

I don't see why 8-12k is out of the question this cycle.  I shouldn't be disappointed if we stall at $2500-4k, but I might be. A bit.  $1000 is going to arrive in a flash, and disappear in the rearview as fast.  Where is johnallen to tell us $700 will be the top  Grin

Holy transactions, Batman!  Lookin' good.

Anyone logged into poloniex in the last couple days?  I can log in but not navigate the site...

Anybody use poloniex?  I can log in, but it won't navigate to any pages.  Just wondered if there is an issue I was unaware of.  Volume meltdown?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 20, 2021, 06:38:17 PM
Starting to build a margin position here. From 0.0035 to 0.007 is 2x your BTC. It's inconceivable that this won't happen, and it will likely happen in Q1. Even if we only recover to 0.0053 that's 50% return. XMR has been going down almost consecutively since mid December with no recovery in sight. There's no fundamental reason that I can see for this complete wreckage. We're back to 2016 levels. Before the alphabay pump when XMR struggled to break out past 0.0042. Not that other altcoins are doing great, but for XMR this is the kind of blood in the street and full on capitulation that's perfect for entry. I can't think of any better purchase than monero at the moment. Not a big fan of margin, but just can't help it at these levels.

STRONG BUY

So, who else bought the bottom? Wink

Well i got most of mine at ~$4.  I didn't enter much when it went to $0.25.  Always regretted that.

Oh you mean Jan '21?  maybe a little.  I actually dipped my toe in a little back when i had the earthquake feeling on 4/9.  Certainly not the BOTTOM, but still not bad.

Haha!  My mom was rubbing it in that she bought lower than I did (.0035-37)  SO I had to bring up the fact that actually, I bought at .001, and didn't get her started until it was back up to 0.0016  Grin  This year I really didn't expect to go below .005, so I had already filled some bags by then.  Oh dear.

Good to see $400 again!  When $4000?  transactions booming, mining moving right along, won't be long.  2020 sucked ass on so many fronts, 2021 can't help but be better  Cheesy
