What's the read on sentiment in here? We bullish or bearish?

there's some bearish bullshit, and some bulls shitting in the woods glade.
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 11, 2018, 04:14:44 PM
I somehow thought that since the mining has become cheaper, the price will start dropping for a while.

As a counter: When a miner gets more XMR per kWh, it needs to sell less XMR to cover the electricity costs.

It all depends whether said miner wants XMR or fiat or...
price seems to be on a downward trend though.

I know none of you give 2 fucks about it. But i'm fucking done with trading. This market is totally irrational just like in 2015 and i'm done wasting money trading it. ...I've lost too much to these fucking greed driven animals of the bitcoin world.... Going back to HODLing.

If I meet a bitcoin trader on the street. I'll rip his scrawny little yappin jaw off.

OK..  So long as nothing has changed...

Can someone please explain this article to me? It says there are 4 different Moneros now. Which one does the original dev team support?

https://news.bitcoin.com/privacy-coin-xmr-splits-into-four-different-monero-protocols/

There Can Be Only One.  XMR is still XMR.  Anything else is a fraud or a joke at this point.

I've been away for a day, and came back to find this thread went to shit. Let's keep it at least somewhat on track.

OK let's keep it on tCrack.

https://monerohash.com/nodes-distribution.html  stilll indicating ~2700 nodes.  Their hash rate indication has been out of whack for many months, but now appears to be on target at ~400MH/s?  Bye bye ASICs   Grin

I haven't been able to keep tabs well while traveling, but I did manage to contribute my meager laptop to the hash rate for the first 12 hours after the fork.  Good to see the stabilization since that (last contact) point.  Overall, it looks like less drama than I anticipated after those first hours.  Good stuff.

what is the different between a racist and a nazi Huh

A racist isn't keen on 'races' other than his own.  A Nazi is an adherent to a political party.

"He who shall not be named" has been on a roll lately. I'm actually starting to like the guy.

Yeah.  Must have been hacked.

The current Monero price is approximately $313, however, the projection to the end of this year is the amazingly increasing number of $650. In the same line, a five-year forecast projects the price up to $4000, which proves a great appreciation of the coin from now on

current price 313 $ ??

Just the usual plagiarism bot.

2 explorer with different information, which chain is correct?   https://moneroblocks.info/      https://moneroexplorer.com/

Well this explorer says currently 17 blocks on new fork, laptop cranking away 78 h/s   Grin

the daemon lists a hash rate that is a long average, according to hyc via reddit.  (still saying 1.13 gh)

A bad memory?  One I was content to allow to fade, at that.

Considering the enormous trade deficit the US has with China ($375 Billion), China has a lot more to lose from a trade war. But will they be able to surrender and still save face?

The main thing at stake for China is social unrest.  In the entire world, there is no other nation with as much excess production capacity population as China.  The world will simply not function on a long timeline with everything being made there.  It's peak globalization so to speak, with no place to go but downwards.  So when they are forced to scale back production capacity, it will be large scale unemployment for a lot of sectors, which then leads to some social chaos and people trying to overthrow the establishment.  This is probably why Xi just made himself dictator.  They foresee shit hitting the fan soon.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 06, 2018, 02:16:50 AM

This seems to be par for the course in the altcoin community. Does anyone know of any other altcoins that are being developed by serious professionals besides Monero? Random jr members need not reply. Interested in what the regulars think.

One has yet to come to my attention, and meet the other reasonable criteria.  You know; decentralized, private, open source, fair distribution, etc.  there is always some glaring deficiency.

Rose:  if you are really concerned about a crypto winter, sell 10% of your holdings on the next pump over $7k so you can spend your time worrying about being bear trapped.  Its much more relaxing worrying that you will make money with 90% of your stash.

I'm just buying enough dollars to make ends meet. We've already doomed more than I thought possible. Tomorrow is all about acceptance.

A year ago in April 2017 the price was ~$1200-1300 and you're talking about doom and capitulation?  Grin

I've been expecting $5000 since...  Well, $5000.  The transition was much too abrupt, and the area just didn't get enough lovin'.
Not that I particularly want to go there, you understand, but it seems that we should.  Just on principle.

MorphToken Announces Support for Monero Subaddresses
anyone tried them?
they said we do not track any user data. is it true? are they trustable?

Dafuq is a morph token?  Is that like my buddy Brad who smokes weed while on morphine  pain killers?

It is not a token, don't like their choice of names but wateva.  You can morph one token, I mean coin into another, so they are like shapeshift or evercoin and their fees are lower.  Actually you can morph one coin into several different ones in the same tx.  That is their "thing".  They don't support many coins at this time but they do support Monero.

I met someone from MorphToken a few weeks ago and they are an experienced group from a different venture, sorry but I forget who.

Cake wallet has integrated MorphToken into their wallet which makes it very easy to use.

Sounds like a good idea, and lower fees than the competition should be easy enough to achieve.
A "friend of mine" used this recently for a transaction.  Worked well.   1 tx.  YMMV

Your "Friend" used which Cake wallet or Morphtoken directly?

Morphtoken.  He's pretty non-Apple... this guy... I know...

I only like apples in pies, but I set up the cake wallet for my mom, and it works well if you were looking for feedback there...
