Monero-Zec-Dash I believe these three projects will reach much better prices in the future. These projects existed when I met this market. I see it as old and solid.

Perhaps you need to dig...  Deeper...

txs fees are a joke! what are you doing it about it? how will ever small time miners be able to afford just the exit fee from their pools?

If you can't handle a 75 cent tx fee, you should mine a bit more before withdrawing.  If your pool is charging you more than that(that right there is the issue), then you should do your due diligence, and find a pool that isn't going to rip you off Huh
Don't forget the Elephant in the room. Bitcoin's fees are much higher, and any other coin that starts getting a bunch of traffic (e.g. Ethereum) will have their fees climb too.

Cryptos are still in development.

Except that Monero fees reduce with increased traffic.  And Bullet Proofs are coming...

Just find it funny that the American Revolution was sparked in part by a 5% tax.  They would be burning everything in sight if they had to deal with today's taxes.

Calculated my effective tax was about 55% at one point.  Income Fed/State Tax, SS, Medicare, Property, Sales taxes on everything you buy.  It's getting out of control really.

Quick guesstimate puts me in the 80-90% range, after they compound tax on top of tax on top of...
Most people don't realize all of the taxes paid on their goods before they even hit the stores, whereupon they pay more taxes, using taxed money... At some point the snake will swallow it's own head lol

no further than his stomach... otherwise he couldn't eat himself. safesnakeselfcanibalism101.

God damn, I knew I should have gone to college!

Huge sell walls up to $11100 on bitstamp but its being bought into at a steady pace. 1800btc atmo

Remember the bear whale's wall on bearstamp? Suppressing the price with walls doesn't always work.

The bearwhale wall wasn't a suppression, it was a sale.

When it didn't go fast enough, he lowered it until it did.  He did not ease it up as it got nibbled at 325.  he pushed it down into bids at 275.  I might have the numbers off a bit, it was a while ago.  But I watched it all the way through, and even grabbed a bit of it off the bottom.

I trust XMR. It is not possible to live a very big uneasiness. It's the main project of the market. The price came back to the appropriate level for purchase. The exact order to turn a crisis into a fright. (It is not an investment advice.)

Can you fuck off now? Or  maybe write your own posts, and use English please.

it's time to begin my premature selling where I only take a measly 80% profit and miss another 40% or so.

Ahh, but 80 is so much better than 40, or 20, no?  I for one am glad of your no FOMO rational trade posts.

I agree..tho the Kraken has rejuvenated itself nicely.

I got a support ticket response after barely 3 weeks!  Telling me my ticket was being forwarded to an account specialist!
I will feel less special if another 3 weeks passes with no contact...

Ah somebody throw me some merits pls? Ive been inches away from hero when the 'merit system' came in and now like fkn miles away. lol Not that it really matters but it does

cheers
Say something meritorious.
Ah now you want me to work for it? What is this generation coming to? Lol : fair enough.

edit: maybe this qualifies not because Im still fishing but because I still believe this maybe worth pondering on case of this and future forks which insist on not starting their own blockchain:

repost from reddit:

I proposed considering the implications of moving all our monero at a certain block after the fork and then donating the now monero empty but monerov 'airdropped' private keys to the development & research fund for purpose of obfuscation and dump of monerov. Not many takers to discuss at btctalk but reading a bit here and there makes me think that we could cause a lot of noise pointing to nowhere on their chain whilst having a nice dump of monerov at hand

//=========

and yes i  did post this in here somewhere but the silence was deafening. Maybe it is a silly idea but my game is not game theory and cryptography and so on so I am thinking about the problem from another angle

Figure a way to do it anonymously, and it sounds like a plan.  I had the idea to donate the proceeds in any case...

I never shorted XMR but I did sell back in 2016 a huge chunk and bought Ethereum. Made a little less than $50MM, thank you ETH!

You guys really need to stop a handful of retarded devs (fat spaghetti) to force major changes without community consensus.
Monero has little time left anyway, Ethereum is about to launch ringCT and zK-Snarks, use the time you have left wisely.

Along with being a wrinkly toolbag, you are also a really amazing contrarian indicator.  I mean it's really something.

Crazy but true.  Years on end!

So, when are we going to hit $1,000,000 for the last time?

Do you believe that said portfolio will be worth 2/5 of fuck all 10 years from now

Yes.

Why do I believe this ? Because my portfolios from 10 years ago are worth way more than 2/5ths of fuck all.

Past performance, etc does have some merit.  And I expect they will be worth considerably more again, before the bottom falls out, for one reason or another.  Just thinking the longer term prognosis of the legacy system is sketchy, at best.  My own 'retirement' funds are fucking locked up until near death by government legislation, so I wrote them off as lost years ago.
936  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2018, 02:40:12 AM
If you had more than 1000 Bitcoins and you were only another 100BTC sell away for retiring for good no matter if it is at 10K, 12K or whatever.... wouldn't you pull the trigger already? I know I would.

Already funded my retirement portfolio in early January before BTC dropped below $11.5k. I now have the luxury of waiting for the next month for things to go higher before I sell to cover tax liabilities.

The next batch for Q1 tax will likely be the last batch I sell before 2020... when I plan to buy Ireland.

Serious question:
Do you believe that said portfolio will be worth 2/5 of fuck all 10 years from now, or is it just an interim til -Ireland?

The jerkoff above only has 3 posts. Don't feed the troll please.

What a great welcoming to the community because someone only has three posts. Makes one have confidence in a community. Huh

Inflammatory drama queen statements from unknown entities are rarely well received...

Sometimes I seriously wonder if people have some unconscious desire to be poor and mediocre. I just cannot fathom how somebody could wish to be more than they are without trying to work towards that goal with even the tiniest increments.

This bothers me a lot about people. I can't get why they are not willing to change up their lifestyle and mindset to reach the goals they desire. My theory on why so far, is that they are easier satisfied and they are happy enough with things staying like the way they are. Therefore don't feel the need to work on oneself. Some people just don't need much in life and are perfectly fine being mediocre. It's something that I sometimes I admire in people, the simplicity of being satisfied with less.

I have run into this a lot, especially in foreign countries, when I need something and I am willing to pay for it. The difficulty of getting so many services makes me keep thinking in my head "do you hate money!?!". In Germany when I was looking for an apartment I felt like just driving down the street with a wad of euros in my hand shouting "I will pay you to rent a place, hell I'll over-pay!". I ended up just using AirBnB to find a place.

Throwing money at a problem is often a way to solve it fast with no fuss.  Doesn't exercise your brain much, but it's fun sometimes.  I spent too many years using ingenuity by necessity to switch to cash throwing directly, but its  getting easier - though the bold thought is constantly there!

It's a matter of perspective. Some may find the persuit of riches a display of emptyness of the soul, and poor, in a spiritual way. Mediocre, so to speak.

My GF will never ever be rich. She works with the elderly in a nursing home. Pays shit and is totally brutal in all kinds of ways from time to time. On the other hand very rewarding too, the people she takes care of are often very grateful (when they're not flinging their own feces because they're so demented they think that is the only way to defend themselves from the strangers they find themselves surrounded with).

I could never ever do that kind of work, respect her very much for it. Find it a lot harder to respect people who think they are better because they are richer.
I would even go as far as arguing that rich people who think they're better than others are the biggest retards of all for having "made it" without learning anything whatsoever along the way.

I'm Roger Ver, you poor fucks!
