Vorige maand waren er op de piek zo'n 20 man denk ik. Ik weet niet hoeveel mensen zich voor de event officieel hebben aangemeld maar ik kom al met drie man sowieso.

723  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Common Sense Question - Maximum BTC You'd Store in One Electrum Wallet? on: August 06, 2013, 12:10:44 PM
An offline wallet is probably one of the safest methods you can possibly use. You could spread the risk around by having multiple offline wallets on separate devices but that might be too much overhead device wise.
724  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: My seed on: August 01, 2013, 12:24:13 PM
That wouldn't be too smart though; if I got a hair of your body I could access all your coins.

You are correct; even in the worst case scenario that the database would be exposed there would be nothing in there that could be used even when decrypted; except perhaps your password if you re-use that somewhere.
726  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Pls remove pip from install instructions on: July 28, 2013, 08:07:28 AM
The packages are in the universe repo for 13.04; add those and all will be fine.

We can't have instructions up for every version of Ubuntu since packages get renamed and moved around.

Please supply your apt sources file.

Python-pip is available in all ubuntu's including 13.04.

I have no clue why it's not working for you.

I'm afraid the Windows build process leaves some to be desired. You are not the only one that reports very weird random quirks with the wallet. You could try using Flatfly's binary if he is still updating it.
730  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Import bitcoin-qt wallet? on: July 27, 2013, 09:45:16 AM
You could import the private keys from the qt client but the problem is that you will have to keep a backup of these keys seperately. They won't become part of your Electrum seed.

Looks like the file hosting server is down. I will see what I can find out.

734  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to uninstall Electrum on: July 07, 2013, 08:22:45 AM
The flaw in your logic is that uninstalling Electrum does not uninstall your wallet.

* To uninstall the application you go to start->Electrum>Uninstall
* To remove your wallet file open a explorer and go to c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\Electrum and remove the electrum.dat file

Please note that, although it can't hurt, creating backups of your wallet file should not be needed as long as you remember your seed.
735  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to secure my btcs? on: July 07, 2013, 08:18:38 AM
Although it can't hurt to protect your wallet it's not completely necessary. It's fully encrypted (I'm assuming you setup a password when you created it) and it's completely deterministic so if your disk crashes for what ever reason you can always restore it from the seed.

Doing awesome on the fund raiser - too bad BTC value is tanking... may make the Litecoin server goal a larger stretch to pay for server... (actively investigating necessary resources on what it takes to run one using 'Abe')...

If you code it up I will donate a server capable of running Litecoind on Abe for at least a year.
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ► ► ► NOW ACCEPTING ORDERS FOR LEALANA PHYSICAL SILVER LITECOINS! on: July 06, 2013, 11:27:05 AM
74 LTC for two 10 LTC coins. That is quite a markup however you look at it. Loaded 60 LTC in prep for the release of these and can't believe I'm still sitting short!

Did you also factor in the price of silver? How about the price to have a custom die cast to stamp them?

I'd order 2 if I could but it's quarterly tax time and I'm still unsure how far I will get bent over =[ Maybe next batch as I'm sure these will be sold out by the time I get with my accountant.

The silver part is negligible there is at most 10 USD worth of silver in there. You should want these coins because they look beautiful and you want to collect something. If you want a guaranteed profit in the future don't buy these, it's as simple as that Smiley
738  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Crash when i want to send - Urgent - Please on: July 04, 2013, 10:28:35 AM
This was not an issue with Electrum.

The OP had a slow pc and a wallet full of small inputs; it simply took a few minutes to create the transaction. The OP considered this to be a crashing Electrum process.

He left it running and the transaction got sent.

Het was een gezellige avond! Tot volgende maand Smiley
740  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum - Bitcoin client for the common users (friendly and instant) on: July 01, 2013, 10:47:00 PM
The  online wallet never requested i set up a password- is this because its seedless and i cant spend with it or am i missing something?

This is correct.

Also say my offline machine were to die how would i go about getting coins into a wallet that i can send from?

Remember your twelve words so you can restore it again if something happens to your offline wallet.
