I don't think importing just public keys is possible at this moment.

1.7 pre-release is up. Loads of things were added and changed so please help us test it before we can officially release it.
884  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum - Bitcoin client for the common users (friendly and instant) on: March 13, 2013, 09:47:32 AM
The blockchain itself does not store any IP values but services like blockchain.info store and report the IP of the node that a transaction is relayed by. In this case that would be the server IP not yours. be able to fake being the server.
And the server stores my IP?

The Electrum server stores an IP address from a client in it's log. Those logs can be rotated but this all up to server operator.

Yes. Restore your wallet from your master public key and it will be de-seeded, so watch only.
I can restore my wallet from the master public key?? Will the imported addresses be included then?

You can restore your wallet from MPK to create a deseeded wallet. No, imported addresses are not part of the deterministic wallet and won't be included.
885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] FIRST Feature-length Documentary on Bitcoin, 100% BITCOIN FUNDED! on: March 10, 2013, 07:18:41 PM
The only thing I would want to know is wether you have the qualifications to make a documentary. So far you have told us nothing about your background or which skills you possess that make this project feasible.

Im a Student of "Applied Media Science" at the Technical University of Ilmenau, Germany. My course of studies consists of theoretical elements of film (and other media) production, as well as practical ones. I have taken part in several film projects during my 3 years there on set and in the Marketing Department of a larger production.

My team consists of 4 students, doing their Master's Degree in "Media Technics", all have prior experience in practical film production and theoretical knowledge.

Our campus is equipped with the most up to date devices and infrastructure neccessary for recording and editing movies. All of witch are available to us. Different film projects are currently being developed there which an able community of young film makers, that can contribute to this project if need arises.

So we got the Know How, the Equipment and the Support to make this documentary reality. The only thing missing is MONEY!

To stay with the spirit of the Bitcoin project, I decided to raise funds exclusively with Bitcoin from the community that it comes from in the most transparent and open way possible instead of asking private or governmental film promotion funds to give me the money under some restrictive licenses.

Thank you for answering; I would update your opening post with this info.

A second thing I would add is your target; the amount of Bitcoin you need with a small financial overview. I don't mind helping out worthwhile projects but I want to know what my funds are being used towards.

ASICMINER-PT is a passthrough of ASICMINER.
888  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 10, 2013, 09:20:22 AM
Is an ASICMiner share any different from one that is in a PT? friedcat mentioned they would make one eventually. Dividends are paid out the same, right?

On Bitfunder it's the same since DT doesn't take any fees. You can even get your shares out of the PT if you have 250 shares or more.
889  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Nieuw nederlands Bitcoin blog on: March 07, 2013, 06:32:49 PM
Hey mede Bitcoiners,

Smiley

I don't think anybody tried to run a JVM implementation. There is a ruby port of the electrum code which could in theory be ran as JRuby though. Please let us know your findings if you are going to experiment Smiley

Mooie opmerking over het "Illegale imago" van Bitcoin, meteen die beste man even op zijn plaats gezet! Smiley

Kan jij al iets zeggen over hetgeen waar je mee afsluit? Ik speel zelf met wat ideeën om ondernemers aan de Bitcoin te helpen en zou er graag meer over horen.
893  Economy / Auctions / Re: 200 ASICMiner Shares - Fixed price on: March 06, 2013, 04:03:46 PM

No real private data is exchanged so it should be safe I would recommend switching to a SSL server so your communication can't be spied on regardless.
896  Economy / Auctions / Re: 200 ASICMiner Shares - Fixed price on: March 05, 2013, 05:11:29 PM
Sorry, all the reservations have been paid. Waiting on the last confirmation from Friedcat so I can close this post.

Bitfunder has a passthrough if you are looking for shares.
897  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 05, 2013, 02:44:25 PM
I don't think Friedcat ever broke his thursday update rule, I'm afraid we will have to wait till thursday for more information.
