How to join your cult?

Fellow brother of Satoshi, this isn't a cult.

Can I be the treasurer for satoshi?

I would not spend it on hookers and beer for our brothers.
I'd liketo apply for such position as well. If I were to devote my time for Satoshi, I would still need some BTC to survive. Grin

Both of you! This is not how the church acts!

We say it's a fee of Satoshi, and then spend it on expensive liquor and hookers.

I am hereby promoting myself POPE !   Cheesy
Now, let the coins from your wallets come to me !

Welcome everybody, Pope Crocko of Crocko.
1683  Other / Off-topic / Re: 40 Items to Barter in a Post-Collapse World on: March 16, 2014, 05:38:41 AM
You might also want to barter sugar.

And anything that could get energy pumping. Including energy bars, or energy drinks.
1684  Other / Off-topic / Re: The All Great Grand Church of Bitcoinism + Altcoinism on: March 16, 2014, 05:33:22 AM
Would you ask 10 percent of my bitcoin wealth?

No, brother Zeeshanblc. We request only your time as a fee. Satoshi requests your Bitcoins, brother.

I am hereby promoting myself to Great Pastor.

Hmmmm, there can be only one leader...

Now people have to choose which great pastor to follow.

Yes brother Vod. We shall have a poll to see who is the best pastor.

I feel the greatness of Satoshi inking through my soul for earning followers.
1685  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are you going to do with your riches? on: March 16, 2014, 05:06:16 AM
Ask the people on Hack Forums what to do with it.

Not even joking, some of the people on there have made pretty good bucks without hacking or scamming.

And then I'd give a scale of it away. I'm not going to waste it on sporty cars I'll never use, or a fucking mansion. (I do have my eye on a prairie house, though.)

Welcome sons and daughters of the all great Satoshi Nakamoto. We're all part of him, but he's a metaphor. I just have a few rules before you step onto the spiritual side of Bitcoinism or Altcoinism in general.

1. Everything is serious my fellow brothers and sisters. We're related not by surname, or DNA. We're related by genetics only.

2. Science is everything, my brother.

3. We accept racism, sexism, and any thing that could make you want to RPG your bags.

4. Every statement is welcomed.

5. There's no such thing as ignorance. Only the truth.

6. To become a ranked citizen in this church, please P.M me. I am the great Pastor of this church.

7. Praise the lord, everybody.

8. Everybody needs to get baptized by the proper authorities (me) to become saved in this great church of Bitcoinism and Altcoinism.

This is a virtual church. We can perfectly praise the lord oh so heavenly. Please reply on how divine you are, or risk becoming un righteous.

Ranks:

Pope - Crocko
Treasurers - Mprep & MPFSKU
Pastor - (God dammit! He cheated!) Vod.
1687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Let's club together and help a fellow crypto Brother out. ANY LEGAL EAGLES HERE? on: March 16, 2014, 03:26:09 AM
The dev should have known not to use a "celebrity" name, especially his. There is no parody, it was an attempt to cash in on a "celebrity".

I thought it was named 'Coinye' or something.

On another note, people seem to think that the image was on Kanye West. I think they either changed it, or it started out as the 'Gay Fish' from South Park.

...just like those ads will be used by the authorities as an excuse for investigating this forum/people associated with running it. big brother from busting the door down and shutting off the lights.

Not sure how to make this any clearer.  I'm not telling you to be law-abiding -- just to stop screaming "I'm doin' crimez here!!1!"  Not all of us welcome the added attention.

I also don't think most of us want to lower the .00000001% chance of Bitcoin not becoming banned or illegal. Then we'd be in some TOUGH shit.

And the forum would be instantly shut down, of course.
1690  Other / Meta / Re: Petition to delete the "ZOMG BTC IS FAILING threads" on: March 14, 2014, 02:12:16 PM
Naturally all the trolls are clamoring for a safe environment in which they can pollute the forum and hinder the flow of accurate information between everyone who isn't a troll.

Aww, come on.

I don't see how they're trolls? They're just using their opinion, or nonfactual information. Just either correct them or go on people.
Really, not that hard to press 'Home', and then type in 'PayPal'. If you're arguing about peoples freedom on here, that site could possibly be a better fit.
Because arguing with somebodies rights on this forum isn't worth it.
1691  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sad Story on: March 14, 2014, 02:06:58 PM
Be prepared. The following is a sad story:

Martha Ray Beth got home from school one morning. She turned on her laptop, and her reflection stared back at her. Glasses. She wore glasses. Her vision was just a little under 20/40, and she wore glasses. Her reflection didn't.

She started to type into Google, looking up various things. From the Internet itself, to people bashing each other. She glanced at a AD, that appeared in her top right corner.

10K Pizza

In this day and age, Martha Ray Beth laughed at the ad. Possibly a silly troll, or a few. But then she clicked on it. A site popped up, 'Bitcoin Talk'. She glanced at the early 2000s design of the site, and then the number of members. Not as many as the other forums she went on, way less than Hack Forums, or XBox Live.

She clicked on board after board, running through the topics. She decided that the topic of Bitcoins amazed her, from silver to gold, to paper to fiat, and then digitization of fiat itself. Currency. This currency had potential.

So she got her dad to buy her a fancy new computer, totaling at least two thousand. But he also seemed interested in it himself.

A few years later, right down to this day, Martha Ray Beth spent all of her time from school in cryptocurrencies. Her wallet itself, holds a hundred thousand coins, or more. But the reason why this is sad, why, a sad story is always sad, is because of what happened years later.

Her dad had a slight disadvantage when the coin grew. He started to invest in schemes, scams, and get multiple loans. So many that this man died, because of it. He received a few kicks to the nads, and then a few chops. He owed money to SR, BMR, BM, and AS. And also, SM.

What a sad story, huh?

I wonder what her fathers name was. Something about hookahs or so...

what a shit fake story.

also if she had hundereds of thousands of coins she couldve payed off all the debt.

No. It's a sad story, it doesn't have to make sense.

I don't get it?

Oh, the end phrase is a reference to a BitcoinTalk member. I think you just have to Google 'Bitcoin Talk Hookah' to get it.
1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMO] EmotiCoin - pool with 0% fee !!! we're on exchange !!! on: March 14, 2014, 04:48:22 AM
Attention all zeitcoin holders. Lets make this a secondary thread to talk about zeitcoin and all its potential. The 3 people holding emocoin wont mind. Better pay some more for votes because we are goin to pass you in 2 days.

Zeitcoin might win, but it's not much better than this coin.

In fact, every Zeitcoin together equals .99BTC right now. One block equals .01BTC. It also has a slight upper hand, due to how many exchanges/pools it has.

Hasn't Zeitcoin been around for a long time, though? That would be kinda unfair to put it against a new coin, if it has been around for some time. Plus Zeitcoin developers did abuse a glitch. Of their OWN coin.

zeit has been around for 13 days. Its up 150% today. Please explain how the zeit devs abused a glitch? Cryptorush handed out double coins to me and a bunch of others.Im not a dev. Zeit devs then set up a fund to pay back those who got their coins stolen from cryptorush,  cryptorush blamed the coin for thier negligence. How the fuck do you let people withdraw double the amount of coins? No other exchange had issues. That is all.

Never said you were a developer. However, fact or fiction, if you could please post valid evidence that points to CryptoRush itself... Then, okay guys!!

And no, sir. The coin probably won't allow you to withdraw double coins but hooray, that's what a 'GLITCH' is. By the way, this coin is more recent than Zeit is... Sooo...

First of all, crypotorush updated their wallet from the git without an announcement or doing any code review or internal testing, so they are at fault.
Second, they somehow screwed their trade and balance database for ZEIT and some people ended up with no ZEIT while some others got free ZEIT.
Third, a fund has been setup so that once cryptorush gives the dev a list of those affected, they can figure out a resolution and hopefully reimburse part of what some lost.
Fourth, we are still trading fine on 5 other exchanges.

Heh, thanks also for your accurate argument.

I would rather take valid facts over somebody randomly bashing me without any details at all. I was proven wrong 100%.

actually right now ZEIT market cap is 430 BTC.

21502757867 ZEIT * 0.00000002BTC = 430 BTC

Oh, thanks for telling me. I was referring to the Zeitcoin thread itself, and a few exchanges at once. That knocks a lower sum off of the list.

Am I misreading the OP or does it say that the cap is 1 trillion coins?  Shocked

Nah, you're not.

All of the coins are currently worth .00000006 LTC.

1,000,000 EMC = 0.06 LTC

1,000,000,000 = 60 LTC (Trillion, all of them made)

60 LTC = 1.61 BTC

I hate to say it, but this might be kind of a waste to mine. 0.06 LTC (One block, A.K.A 1,000,000 EMO) is 0.00159677BTC.

First condoms now gold?

Wow. I don't use this coin, but I don't think these things were thought of previously.

I know I can be a sarcastic asshole sometimes, but I'm not being sarcastic at all.
1699  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos is taking illegal ads from a ponzi scheme - MakeBtc.org on: March 14, 2014, 02:54:36 AM
^
...
There are things that people try not to do, without needing laws to specifically prohibit them.  Farting at the theater is one such thing.  Advertising Ponzis is another.  I swear, this is like arguing with a 4-year-old.

Let's stop going around in circles.  The illegalities of advertising Ponzis for an American person operating a website from American soil are numerous, and have been stated throughout this thread.  They are unimportant.

The bad publicity, needless attention from government agencies, and giving a great foothold for Bitcoin's detractors -- those are the important bits.

Finally somebody agrees with me! Many people are using black markets, Mt Gox, and other things against Bitcoin already! Why the hell would we want them to pick up that we the forum even 'allows' Ponzis? I honestly have no idea why anybody would say that they think they shouldn't be banned.

To the Media, it'll no longer be the Blackmarketcoin. It'll also be the Illegal-Scammer-Blackmarket-Coin.
Who's "we"?

Hmm, nice catch of that.

I changed it, thanks for telling/informing me of that.
