1321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Airlines that accept Bitcoin as payment! on: June 11, 2015, 06:16:50 PM
according to coindesk TAR, a Mexican Airline, started accepting bitcoin as payment.

http://www.coindesk.com/mexico-tar-latin-america-airline-bitcoin/

"In a statement, Jose Calzadias, commercial manager at TAR, said that the company, which serves 12 destinations throughout Mexico, would continue to evaluate payment options that give "real added value" to customers."

apparently there is another Latvian airline that started accepting bitcoin from July last year.

what do you think the effect of this is on bitcoin?
Most of the airlines or businesses that accept bitcoin usually use Bitpay as a payment processor. I believe it is actually very good for Bitcoin price, as Bitpay just this week announced that they don't sell the bitcoins on the exchange instantly. So these bitcoins are not dumped, and will probably be not dumped anytime soon. In a way this is actually good news for bitcoin as it is not being dumped and is increasing in its usage.

at some point the coins will get dumped. whether it is the next day or next week. they will get sold. they benefit when bitcoin price goes up, that's what they are waiting for.

Correct the coins will get dumped as airlines companies will wait for the right price to sell it and earn profit out of it. But for the customers of the airlines it would be really great if they can use their bitcoins as a mode of payment the payment can be made in fractions of seconds.
1322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Should you stay or should you go? on: June 11, 2015, 06:12:23 PM
It should stay Cheesy no matter what bitcoin price is higher or lower just be satisfied what bitcoin price because we dont control the changes price of bitcoin

Yes that is true. If you have faith in bitcoin you should stay or should leave. If you want to grow your bitcoins in quick session then it is really difficult to that. But if you can hold your bitcoins for a longer period of time then it can prove to be profitable in the future. But still we don't have control over it so it is a tough decision to make whether to stay or to go. Huh
You must stay to this forum for giving us an opportunity to earn bitcoin and also for satoshi that invented the  bitcoin. Whenever it price goes up or not.

I believe we should stay as coming to any decision at this point of time would not be fair. I believe the the value of bitcoin will raise in coming period of time as the adoption will go high. So I think we should be more patient with bitcoins as we are aware that "Patience Pays". Grin
Yeah thats the reason why we can't leave the bitcoin. We need money as easiest way to earn it like in signature campaign or making a website faucet.

We simply cannot afford to leave bitcoin at a moment as the great future is awaiting for us So It would be stupid decision to make to leave bitcoin and there are many ways of growing your bitcoin so the best thing at present is hold the bitcoin in your wallet and keep it safe for the future.
1323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MasterCard makes the case that it’s safer and faster than Bitcoin! LOL on: June 11, 2015, 06:05:05 PM
Quote
MasterCard is lobbying the UK government for increased regulation of bitcoin and other digital currencies that pose a threat to its legacy credit-cards business, as it tries to adapt to the transformation of a payments industry long overdo for change.

“In the current environment we feel that the risks of digital currencies outweigh the benefits,” the company wrote in strongly worded letter, obtained by digital currency website Coindesk, in which MasterCard asks the UK government for more regulation of crypto currencies.

Quote
We would argue that, when compared to MasterCard’s network, the claims pertaining to the speed and safety of digital currencies does not hold up, not least given that on average it takes 10 minutes for a block to be verified and that digital currencies are far more susceptible to hacking attacks.

Additionally, while digital currency transaction costs are currently lower, this is because providers of digital currency services do not currently bear any compliance costs, whereas providers of other forms of electronic payment bear the cost of complying with consumer protection laws and anti-money laundering laws.

http://qz.com/423739/mastercard-makes-the-case-that-its-safer-and-faster-than-bitcoin/

What a bunch of pussies are working in that company.  Cheesy Cheesy

their profits must be down and they are blaming bitcoin.

It has definitely affected their profits and their customers so they are now spreading news that mastercard is safer then bitcoin but one advantage mastercard holds is that many of the countries are not in the use of bitcoin so that is the advantage for them but the situation will change in coming years when more and more people starts adopting bitcoins.
1324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffet saids: “Stay Away From Bitcoin” on: June 11, 2015, 06:01:25 PM
Dream big and do what you want, regarldess of what others say.  Guys like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, etc etc would never of had success if they had listened to all the negative voices who told them their projects were stupid.

Yeah just follow your dreams and the rest will be taken care of. You cannot expect that what buffet is saying is definitely gonna true so you just need to visualise things and make a decision on your own and just remember negative news travels faster then the positive one.

Same was the situation when computers and internet came into existence. No one was in support of both the things but it created an revolution around the world. And today it has become the basic necessity of the society you can afford to live without food for one day but you cannot live without internet.
1325  Economy / Economics / Re: What awaits Bitcoin in the future? (poll) on: June 11, 2015, 05:58:25 PM
well i believe in bitcoin
because the way i see it,
it is a very good concept of transferring money
it will have a great future once mass adaptation occurs

Exactly bitcoin is the future and the future of bitcoin is very bright as the mass adoption occurs and then it can surely replace the fiat currency and the best thing is it is decentralised so the privacy factor is associated with bitcoin and it really saves time and money when it comes to transferring money.
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Ever Take Out a Loan in Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2015, 05:54:30 PM
Hey Bitcoin Community! Essentially, I would like to know if you would ever consider taking out a loan in bitcoin? If you have previously taken out a loan, please share your experiences! What were the pros and cons, and what would you improve? Thanks  Smiley

no.. i try not to do the loan thing. .. don't front.. if you do and you dont get paid back then you lose both your money and your customer. thats your fault.

Yeah.. It is better to stay away from loan in bitcoin as it sounds risky. Trading is better option as compared to taking a loan as trading can earn you profit if you sell at a right time then you can gain something really great in quick time but when it comes to loan in bitcoin you have a fear of loosing your money.
1327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On a scale of 1 to 10, How Excited (!!!) Are You About BTC and the... on: June 11, 2015, 05:50:36 PM
I think 50% of Bitcoin. But I always tell friends about it. Some interesting to listen to. But some friends disclaims Bitcoins. They say that they have paypal, credit cards, and they do not want to change.

Exactly people resist change and that is the reason why they stay from using bitcoins as they view it risky as they haven't used it anytime. Credit cards paypal are user friendly products and that is the reason they trust it more but for me I am very much excited in using bitcoins as i can buy variety of products using my bitcoins.
1328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to pack it up on: June 11, 2015, 05:03:26 PM
this shows that Mastercard and companies like that find bitcoin as a serous threat to themselves that they attacked it this way. after all it is a competition involving millions of dollars every day.

Mastercard is pissed off due to bitcoin and they are really not able how act and react to the situation so they are just getting involved in some unprofessional activities by spreading rumors regarding the bitcoins as they know people would support them as they have more supporters at present as compared to bitcoins.
1329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best Investment Option for Bitcoins? on: June 11, 2015, 04:59:47 PM
put 7-8 bitcoin in a secure cold wallet and invest like 2 bitcoin in trading. i myself am doing altcoin trading which is pretty good if you know how to profit (i am still learning though) but the profit can be good.
take an small amount like <1 BTC and gamble for fun Cheesy

Yes gambling is a fun and it is more fun if you win it. But you cannot just rely on gambling as it can be proved to be an risky affair so it is better to buy bitcoins and hold it for the future that would be the best investment option as we believe that bitcoin will reach to a new level in the future.
1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for? on: June 11, 2015, 04:55:49 PM
mostly buying pre-paid phone credits. (don't ask me to explain)

sometimes gambling, sometimes buying games if I can afford it.

I am addicted to gambling so generally I use bitcoins for gambling purposes as is the most easiest and convinient way for gambling as you dont have to depended on other to place a bet you are king you simply can go on gambling websites and place a bet and once the bet is won it hardly take minutes to transfer your funds to your bitcoin address.
1331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2015, 04:53:02 PM
~~~
Yes more than 100 comments per day really sound wierd. I mean if you have to comment above 100 then i think you need to spend more than 12 to 14 hours on the PC and that sounds miserable and yes it would be definitely stressful. Cloudthink is giving really good payouts but cannot afford to trust that campaign what you say guys???
doing 100 comments a day will get you banned! if you don't lose your eyesight Cheesy
as far as Cloudthink campaign goes, it is paying the participants every ~3 days and it has paid out so far.
Yes it is paying right now. But how long they will pay as this much higher payout is simply not possible that gives a feeling that it is a scam. At present he is paying every 3 days but how long he will pay and if it is a genuine campaign then the people would be earning really good.
1332  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: June 09, 2015, 09:55:14 PM
i want to spend my retired days with luxury thats why i am investing my present time to earn good bitcoins and 2 bitcoins is not enough for me ! i think i need  more than 1k  bitcoin in my account then my all dreams become true
Same here. But it totally depends upon the life style and the standard of living of an individual as it varies from each other so If you are looking for some lavish lifestyle after getting retire then I believe an individual should atleast hold around 2k bitcoins and then dreams will follow.. Grin Grin
1333  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: June 09, 2015, 09:51:15 PM
Investing money instead of saving is really a good idea. In saving we can not make our money big but in investment we make huge money in just few hours. I will prefer everyone to invest money instead of saving. I have invested my half money in properties. I find this business really beneficial for me.
R u kidding me??? How the hell can you make huge money in few hours by investing it?? Are you talking about the gambling or betting over the internet??? so that you can earn huge money in few hours??? Investment is for the future purposes and how can you expect that your investment will give you huge amount of money in few hours???
1334  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: June 09, 2015, 09:45:24 PM
In a weekly basis realistically, you can make .1 btc.
It just depends on how creative you are on going about making the btc.
Yes by joining a good signature campaign you can increase your wallet of btc in the best possible way rather then doing captcha work as the payout of captcha is very low and spending 17 years per day is not a good option i guess so i would suggest to join a signature campaign.
1335  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: June 09, 2015, 09:38:35 PM
bitcoin and gold is just the same. highly volatile. a lot of pump and dump no matter how much we try to deny this.
but i think gold is a far better choice than bitcoins due to the physicality of gold. something tangible is always worth a lot more than something intangible. depends on which case we are talking about of course but still.
i feel bitcoins is getting lower day after day.
the sharks just dumped their coins making the market collapse and then buy low making it rise and they will do it again. just like they are doing it every 2weeks if someone can follow the rise and fall chart.
Gold is always better option over the gold for the investment purposes and the reason behind it is as the people have more faith in gold and many of them hardly knows what bitcoin is so it is difficult for them to trust the bitcoin as an investment option. Gold is traditional and it is more popular then bitcoin.
1336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to pack it up on: June 09, 2015, 09:32:57 PM
Huh! LOL. Of course MasterCard would attack Bitcoin, Bitcoin is competing with them, and they don't want to lose customers to Bitcoin.
Yes of course the competitors of bitcoin will attack it as the competitors views bitcoin as a threat to their potential customers and have a fear of loosing them as more and more people will start adopting bitcoin and doing a negative publicity about the competitor is not a new thing.
1337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 09, 2015, 09:23:30 PM
I guess the best way is through Campaigns.. U have to invest some time into it..but its good enough wrt the time invested.
Yes I think that is the right option. By joining some good signature campaign you can easily grow your bitcoins and it is the simple way to earn bitcoins by investing some time in it you can earn good amount of bitcoins and it is safe i guess as compared to other methods available for growing bitcoins like trading or gambling etc.
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best Investment Option for Bitcoins? on: June 09, 2015, 09:18:22 PM
I have a few bitcoins and am going to buy a few more in a day or two. Will have some 10+ Bitcoins then. I wanted to know which is the best investment option where I can invest my bitcoins and earn some profits as their is no point of just holding them and let them stay dead in my wallet.
What's wrong with just holding them? If you 'invest' them you could very likely lose them all or a lot. The easiest and safest way would probably be to just day trade but personally I would just buy and hold them for a couple of years and I''m sure you'll have made much more this way than just day trading or investing in some probable scam.
Yes the best way is to hold them and forget it for the couple of years and sell it when the value goes high that is the safest way and if your are looking for the quick returns then gambling is one of the option but I don't think it is an good option to opt for as great level of risk is involved in it.
1339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I guess people are using bitcoins for takeaway on: June 09, 2015, 09:11:42 PM
Nowadays bitcoin becomes popular payment method due to its offered advantage compared with traditional ways! ppl are keen to pay with bitcoin and merchants will be happy to adopt bitcoin payment to attract customers! It is good for the bitcoin development.
One reason I think it is more popular is because of convenience, and I find this especially true with me; I dont have to enter all my credit card information, phone number, register, etc; I just need to copy and paste an address to send to and the amount to send.
Absolutely. It is the best and convenient way to make a payment for the purchases are made and I believe it is the safest too. You can get rid of credit card details and we have experienced in the past that hackers are very active when the payment is made by credit card.
1340  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin Legal? on: June 09, 2015, 09:06:43 PM
Lol my country looks green but im pretty sure government doesnt know what btc is. If they knew it would be dark red:)
Yes if the government doesnt know what bitcoin is how can you expect that the people would be aware of it.. no doubt people are much more educated and advanced as compared to government in my country but still nobody have shown their willingness to know what bitcoin is all about.
i believe that the government should take a step ahead to create an awareness in the people regarding the bitcoin but it is like day dreaming. cant afford to trust the government when it comes to the usage of bitcoin in the country as it is threat to fiat they will never support bitcoin.
I'm possibly less a fan of governments 'educating' people on Bitcoin than most.  I prefer they concern themselves with 'important matters of state' or whatever else they waste the continuous flow of money and life that they suck out of their populations.
Yes surely you cannot expect the governments of the country would come forward in the support of bitcoin. As they view it as a threat there are very least chances that government will accept bitcoin as a currency and i don't think that bitcoin can be banned completely.
