You can also pick up a used Mercury, Saturn or Jupiter. Those controllers also work with Neptune.
The vast majority of them are only with 4 data cable connectors. Yep, except Jups. But right now a lot of folks are taking them offline and not getting very much in the resale value. Easy/cheap way to split up your cubes.

I noticed they are listing 25C as the ambient temperature for measuring watts. There's no mention of operating temperature range. Is it still up to 35C? And what kind of factors are we looking at with the higher temps. With summer here in the US, seems like it could be a serious issue since no one will want to spend the money on a/c.
Also, they have a 33% increase in $/gh ($.31 to $.41), 13% reduction in w/gh (.51 to .44). I guess they can charge the premiums to China because of the cheaper elec. Not seeing a great deal for the US though.

What's been modded on the controllers?

I wish I had some gear to mine with so I could get a few more of these before they sell out. I'm with you in that. I'm down to 4T from 18. I miss the noise I was expecting to have next gen stuff to replace it with by now.

I love the BTMs. What's the monthly costs Lamassu is charging to operate these using KYC compliance? I know my little skyhooks don't charge anything, but I have to keep a logbook.

Thanks. Looks like I've been connected at least 12 hours now.

Kano,
Do you see any info on why my miners with lee group (S5) are doing failovers? Looks like it started last week and occurs multiple times a day. I posted in their thread, but others don't seem to be having the problem except when using this pool. Are we missing a setting somewhere?
Thanks!

So I'm seeing where my miners failover to eligius every day, sometimes multiple times. The default pool is CK. Is any one else having issues like this? Overall I think I'm getting close to the stated hash, but hate seeing the failovers.

Seeing quite a bit of failover this week. Any problems over there?

|

For some reason I'm seeing a couple of my S5 units hosted by Lee's Group failing over to another pool. Anyone else experiencing problems?

I purchased 8 SP20 units from MC last month and they are great. Are you wishing you had them back now?

I agree with all the posts above. PP is tough to accept without risk of chargebacks. i can also buy bitcoins with paypal, but I typically will only buy them at 10% less than Coinbase at time of transfer.

One additional comment. I am pretty sure that the CFM rating of a fan is "in free air" (i.e. without restriction). It wouldn't surprise me if the actual air flow through a miner was way less than the number of fans and CFM rating would suggest. The inside of a miner usually imposes serious restrictions (e.g. the S5).
Very good point. And I do plan on separating the hot/cold with sheating sending the middle hot air up and out, while cool air is drawn in.

well if your room temperature is fine, and your miner are working cool enough, you should be doing good already
you should aim at around 60° max, at least this with the antminer s5
There would be intake fans pulling in fresh air from outside, so that would be the room temp before going through the miners. I'm just in the hypothetical/planning phase to see if it would make sense with a bunch of miners in a warehouse and what it would take from an exhaust standpoint. room size helps to know it, but a 3000 cfm fan changes the air every 2 minutes in a 20 by 30 by 10 ft room (Under perfect conditions) So look at 3000 cfm as the exit fan and 2000 cfm as the fresh air fans as a minimum if the room is 20 by 30 by 10. Many do this: ^^^^^^^^^ hot air leaves the building window window ^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ fan fan fan fan fanminers miners miners^^^^^^^^^^ fan fan fan fan window window window cold air outside the building Thanks Philima. I was thinking similarly, but having 2 rows of miners with their output facing each other. Pull outside air in on both sides, channel hot air up and out middle. That's why I was wondering about size based on miners using 120cfm fans. So number of miners x 120cfm to exhaust their heat without buildup.

Why would you buy old gen stuff? Wait for newer gen!
I would tend to agree, but with the longer we go without next gen, the more pent up demand and higher cost to purchase.

This! It's unbelievable to see people thinking they deserve the S5 at a certain price.
Until you buy it, it's Bitmain property. They can put the price they want. Either accept the price (And buy) or don't. No need to whine.
But it goes with cheese

Easiest approach would be to direct ethernet to your laptop/computer. Switch laptop/computer to same network and then web into the dragon and change in the gui to what network you want.
