341  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that Mt Gox funds are going to get released? on: November 18, 2021, 08:38:44 PM
<<>>
It is also possible that not everyone will get their BTC at once, but that it may take months, and given Japan's efficiency, it may take years. Personally, it seems to me that there is too much noise here, and there is not too much reason for that.

Noise? It was fear in my mind that I shared immediately when I came to know about it from an 'insider' friend. Why will the court let Mt Gox take any extra time to serve their creditors who waited so long for this day to come? If the release happens the same day for all the creditors and like we are talking that btc is 30x already from the value they bought at, I think most creditors will move their coins to the exchange to sell it because even though they know about the potential of btc, why will they leave a chance for selling their btc at near ath?
342  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC rise to 1 million US dollars? on: November 13, 2021, 10:51:33 PM
we need to look at reality here. and right now, that's very far from happening. but ok, let's say in the next 15 years, everything is possible to happen. but do you think there will be no new and advanced technology that will topple bitcoin? we can never be sure of its future as the technology is evolving very fast.

Technology evolving very fast, agreed. But why didn't any coin or token come in competition to btc till date when btc is already 10+ years old? I don't say that nothing can beat btc but due to its limited supply and unlimited adoption, possibilities for btc to reach new highs every few months are endless.

Quote
$100k level is more feasible to happen for now, but we can't say never, right?

I never said 'never' and btc will also reach a million dollar one day because a btc, which was not even worth a cent at a time and we are speaking about the same crossing $100k mark is feasible, then that btc can also do 10x of that $100k and complete Satoshi's dream of a million dollar btc.
343  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that Mt Gox funds are going to get released? on: November 13, 2021, 10:31:41 PM
Depends, is everyone going to get their coins and send them to an exchange and sell them at the same moment? Then yeah!
Is this going to happen? Most likely no!

Why won't that happen? After a very long wait, these victims are seeing a light of hope and even if they get 25% of 150k btc which comes to 37500 btc, they will get $2.5 billion worth of btc which is enough to shake the whole market (I'm not taking these vitcims alone under consideration but even if their summed up value crosses $1 billion at the time of selling it and the news that breaks the confidence of investors, compels them to sell under the impact of panic sell, btc will dump). This is a good news for the victims that they are getting their part even if not complete payback for their stolen btc, but we will also see how the market reacts to this news.
344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What if Covid 19 broke the 4 year market cycle? on: November 13, 2021, 09:45:43 PM
There were retail investors back then who drove the value of btc in those past 4 year cycles (I don't know why they kept the number at 4 then), this time institutions are backing bitcoin and other few altcoins in top 10 and it is also helping in promoting the crypto economy to the levels we never saw in the past. However, Covid outbreaks again in some countries and has become a threat again for countries where it settled down gradually in numbers and if that happens, we may again enter a bear market to change the market sentiments. I don't know why we are talking about Covid only while the most significant reason behind btc's rise is the debacle of USD and Fed's monetary policies.
345  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: November 13, 2021, 09:29:47 PM
Maybe there were few issues that need attention but if you go through this thread you will see allegations from new accounts and senior members are just supporting them ( they themselves have not tried the platform). It seems like one or two person is posting again and again. It may be someone from 1xbet rival platform.

Few issues? Lmao.
What do you need from Senior members? To go there, play there and get scammed like everybody else who is coming here and complaining? You think that if people come here with new accounts to talk about 1xbit's shady business, they are try to mud the reputation of 1xbit? What reputation does 1xbit have here or point me to any place where they have resolved any cases? Licking their ass just for a few bucks will only make you look like a scammer yourself because you are supporting them while also defending them being their employee.
Hey, IIRC, some members from their recently closed signature campaign complained about 1xbit not paying them for that week, so what next do you expect them doing to prove that they are scammers?
346  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible market crash in the near future? on: November 13, 2021, 08:59:06 PM
Even if btc pulls back under $30k again, I don't think it is a crash but will be seen as correction and correction is good for any market to grow with strength where new and old investors both get the opportunity to buy btc cheaper after reaching a break-even point. Out of the 14k total cryptocurrencies you have seen at cmc, so many of them are tokens working on smart contracts and depend on another coin's blockchain, they may collapse if a strong correction is seen in the same coin.
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if $70k was Bitcoin ATH for the year? on: November 13, 2021, 08:46:11 PM
Will you be satisfied if 2021  ends with an ATH of $70k for Bitcoin.

Why I won't be satisfied if btc closes its note at $70k as ath for this year? It has added only to its value since last year and is ~4.6x from $16k that it was holding last year this day.

Quote
Will it make you more richer or it wouldn't add any value to your intial capital.

Won't add anything to my capital as I didn't invest in btc last year.

Quote
Will you regret you joined the trend late or  would you be glad you bought when the  market did a retracement? Or you are still staring at Bitcoin with some sentiment

I will have no regrets about joining or not joining because I am a bitcoin evangelist and like everybody here, I also want it to succeed so on if it grows, I will be happy always. I will also be glad if a retracement happens and I get another chance at buying btc cheaper than its present value.
348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not meant 4everybody on: November 13, 2021, 08:19:55 PM
@Mpamaegbu
Newbies like us do not like to hear loses cause it always pissed us off. Profits is what we always like to hear, maybe it keeps us going to the doom site. I'm relearning.

If that is what you trade for, your mind will never satisfy and always counter trade, while trying to retaliate market for 'what it did to you' based on your thinking. No graphs of any trader or bot can be in green or upwards in a straight line forever because mistakes are a part of a trader's life, so learn from your mistakes and note them as doing and realising mistakes is good when you know about and will not do it  again.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where is BNB going!!! on: November 13, 2021, 06:44:54 PM
Op, I think bnb has a lot more potential than your targeted value because all the launchpad programs and fan tokens are seeing unnatural volume in bnb commitments as 'some projects have also seen their funding reach millions at Binance', bnb can go high up to $2200 this bull run to get high minimum 3 or 4 times from its upward crypto that hold very high market capitalisation. Bulls have got the control on its value and are moderately taking the value high every few days for stable growth.
350  Economy / Economics / Is it true that Mt Gox funds are going to get released? on: November 12, 2021, 10:53:43 PM
I was told by a source that Mt Gox funds will be released on ~20 November, 2021 on the order of honorable court where the hearing was made. If it's a fact, will 150k btc worth $10 billion enter the market? And should we prepare for a big dump after this happens? The intention behind posting this isn't about spreading chaos but awareness about what may happen if Mt Gox funds will be released. This is a happy news for me, but scary too.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high on tron chain too on: November 12, 2021, 10:42:27 PM
When btc mempool gets stuck with transactions, fees get amplified and Tron's chain saw the same traffic coming its way when the movement of coins is also at its peak with prices, some wallets charged higher than normal fees for usdt where miners wanted to earn through this opportunity even through TRC20 network. High fees are going to hinder the success of cryptocurrencies and especially, crypto tokens which run on smart contracts of different blockchains.
352  Economy / Speculation / Re: 60k price recovery achieved on: November 12, 2021, 10:16:44 PM
There is no such thing as parabolic rise? Have you ever met any crypto in your life? Cheesy. All jokes aside this is a parabolic rise, it moved from nearly 29k to close to 68k at the top, THAT is a parabolic rise. Sure it took a while maybe compared to crypto increases, but it was simply just 2 months, literally just 2 months. We should be very hopeful about the future of crypto.

<<>>

As it's a parabolic rise, I fear that we may witness another drop in the value of btc before it gets charged again. But that fear is for those who will get liquidated in futures, I will maximize my btc holdings if it shoots itself downwards. I don't think of a collapse but a pullback is absolutely possible and necessary too because even in a parabolic run, btc can't go up and up only, may come down again but slowly.
353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sweden proposed to ban mining in the European Union on: November 12, 2021, 09:42:40 PM
Before getting to the PoW coins, did the Swedish government also check the amount of energy the bank system uses daily? The amount of paper accumulate every year? And what about gold extraction? As usual they're looking to someone or something to blame, and cryptocurrencies are always on the top of the list Roll Eyes

Some governments still fear that their banks will get their doors closed if cryptocurrencies gain a lot of attention in their country, so these governments try to catch the painful nerve and here, it is mining. They had nothing to talk about, they don't talk on the inflated prices of oil, child trafficking, sexual harassments, kidnapping, raping, extortions, mafia, etc. and divert their citizens' mind by talking all the way about crypto to create negative chaos among youth about it. If Swedish government asks miners to stop mining some day, those miners will pack their bags and move another place to continue.
354  Economy / Economics / Re: Who wants to do what. Jobs or business.. on: November 12, 2021, 09:25:18 PM
Apart from the world going digital, in this 21 century it will be hard for people with a single job or single way of earning to thrive and this is footing the advice of people like Kiyosaki. However, if you look at the people who are billionaires now they have diverse ways of earning an income.

Doing more than a single 'job' is like exploiting ourselves at its peak. It is also a matter of fact that doing business does not fit under anybody's appetite and needs patience to grow and bring that business ahead because overnight success stories are just white lies and like a plant needs time to become a tree, a business also needs time to grow and if a businessman is lucky, only then he gets hardworking people who stay with that business even in the worst times.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC rise to 1 million US dollars? on: November 12, 2021, 08:54:48 PM
Want to add up that SEC rejected VanEck's Spot Bitcoin ETF and this does not look like a good news for this month. We may see more drops in the price and $100k still looks a proper target to think of, before we see a million as too many hurdles are stopping btc from reaching where it may have been by now. There is high probability of btc coming under $60k once before it recovers its ath and breaks $100k very fast.
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin an asset or a currency? on: November 12, 2021, 08:27:06 PM
I don't think it can be a country based discussion because legalizing bitcoins will only give it acceptance as an asset due to high volatility in its value and no long term stability available. It can be used as a way to pay but cannot be considered as a currency paid, as the price still keeps fluctuating during the gap of time till btc transaction gets confirmed. So whether low or high in value after transaction is done, bitcoin will be overlooked as a currency for being unstable due to illiquidity.
357  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does someone use trading bots? on: November 11, 2021, 09:59:14 PM
Trading bots can be profitable or non-profitable depending on the strategy you want them to use, if you use a strategy shared by someone on the bot made by them and they sell it to others also, then like mk4 said, you will lose because that strategy will become obsolete. Trading bots can be tried with different strategies to check which one suits your trading style and your portfolio. I never used bots because I believe in manual trading, but it is also an undeniable fact that bots outperform human actions, so you can try with some small portfolio and see which strategy is best for you and then slowly increase your portfolio size.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will bring the chaos what the world need. on: November 11, 2021, 09:45:56 PM
Really?

I don't think so. The energy issue will be solved in the future and bitcoin is not the only crypto currency in the market.
There are PoS (Proof of work) crypto currencies that solve this problem of yours.

PoS is not Proof of Work but Proof of Stake.
For energy, institutions are taking initiatives to stop using produced electricity behind btc mining and use natural ways like solar energy to do that. It is true that bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrency in the market, but it is also the 'bitter' truth that there is none other cryptocurrency like bitcoin in the market. When it all began, I thought we were just cooking dreams in our minds and selling it to people with the word of mouth powerful advertising and it has become a revolution because our voice reached the ears of big investors, but today, everything has changed and institutions have given the crypto sphere the whole new look, and bitcoin was the main foundation which brought it all ahead.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1142066.msg12043097#msg12043097 -- Your place to go. Jayce had been a great designer, though I never hired him as I didn't have any projects since years but watching his talent through his thread as well as on most of Hhampuz's campaigns. It'll be worth your money to try his designing skills.
360  Economy / Economics / Re: Who wants to do what. Jobs or business.. on: November 11, 2021, 08:56:31 PM
A lot of employers and great personalities were among those who were school or college dropouts and presently earning a lot more in a month than an average guy who completed his study and works for them could even think of, but still cannot earn during his entire life. Doing job is for those who want a salary, a paycheck they can wait for and get after a month. Doing business is for courageous men and women who think of the future of others too while taking people with them to fulfil the vision they have in their mind. Businessmen have the ability to sign those paychecks and give them to their employees while they earn it on a daily basis and take all the risks on them.
