361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: cryptocurrency trading is safe than forex trading on: November 11, 2021, 08:16:06 PM
Forex trading is very different from crypto trading, so please don't compare them both.

- Forex trading works on leverage only and you will not do it with 1:1 leverage because you won't get any good returns, while crypto can be bought at spot and if tables turn, the coin can go down 99% too making you lose and may never recover

- Forex works for 5 days only while crypto is available 24/7

- Forex works with real currency pairs and the moves are 'not noteworthy' if seen at transactional values while crypto moves can shake any side's liquidity any moment
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store your keys? on: November 11, 2021, 08:03:42 PM
Even if I had 2000 btc, I would not go to space to store them and do it at ground levels. This question had been a headache since btc broke $1k as 2 million was also a big number to protect then. I would turn my storage into pieces at first by heading towards mixers because keeping them all at one place would not be 'secured' at all and would also let them traced. I would use Ledger or Trezor if I would store them at one place, or go for cryptosteel to store many wallet seed phrases or private keys and then lock them in a bank's locker. I am not that person who would spend on security more than what I have to safeguard my investments as even a bitcoin core wallet with a very strong password would give me the same security 'till' I do something which leaks my private key or wallet seed.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gabling prohibited in some countries on: November 06, 2021, 10:30:08 PM
People in some countries think that it is not good for them to gamble as it may ruin them if they get addicted. They have responsibilities and they talk about the same in front of their 2nd generations to teach them that gambling is not a good thing to do as they fear the addiction may end up for the gambler going bankrupt and make his family suffer with him.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the retail interested more of action or utility of btc on: November 06, 2021, 10:12:21 PM
Why are you flaunting Shiba's success in Bitcoin related discussion?
From the beginning, retailers were for profits in btc and any other coins, you see. Their sole motive is to make money, and make it quick. What can Grayscale do to keep retailers stick to btc? It's retailers' money and they can move it in any coin they think of having a spike in its value and shib was one of them. You saw the rise but didn't consider the fall in it? While btc and eth are near their ath and both are stable. Majority of investors still prefer btc over any other coins because btc is a safe haven asset for them to store their value.
365  Economy / Economics / Re: There are many online jobs out there. Crypto Opportunity. on: November 06, 2021, 09:18:27 PM
I must admit that there are way better jobs available here than going for any other websites (even like freelancer, elance, fiverr) where we need reviews of people to get a job. Average income of a guy posting here for a signature campaign is also very high paying (talking about my campaign and chipmixer) for so many members from countries where they don't earn that much even on a monthly basis, so for them, a way to savings is there to keep collecting and adding more coins to their portfolio via investments. I am glad to be on this forum, and I hope that it keeps giving various jobs to opportunity seekers.
366  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bitcoin going to burst anytime soon on: November 06, 2021, 08:58:16 PM
My wife was in a Chase bank today and overheard a chase bank rep stating to a customer, that the bitcoin is NOT going to last much longer.

Lasting and longer lasting are two different types.
Bitcoin will not last means it will not be traded or seen in the digital world, long lasting belongs to its price.

Quote
Especially because the bitcoin continuing to grow in value. I guess that as a result of the increase and nothing backing and/or supporting it.

Btc grows in value but don't you know that it has a limited finite supply that cannot be altered? Is the banker crazy while thinking that nothing backs btc? Are institutional powers nothing?

Quote
If somehow there could be a discontinuance of the bitcoin,
how does this effect the other forms of cryptocurrencies???

This will not happen by any means, because btc and crypto will be here for decades and if that happens for btc, there will be another cryptocurrency which will take over btc but not all of them will burst in their values.
367  Economy / Economics / Re: 6 billion to solve world hunger? on: November 06, 2021, 08:38:42 PM

By giving money for this, you yourself generate systemic poverty, which becomes genetic.

I have researched and found that lots of poor people don't have the intentions to work. So even if riches ask poor people to work to get money for their work, there will be more exploitation than 'helping out' because riches will behave like a boss then. I totally agree with your systemic poverty line, but the mental state of poors have been so much narrowed down that they are unable to come out of that, thinking they have no life and due to less to zero knowledge, they don't know about and cannot learn anything new. If everybody starts thinking the way you think, then there will be no donations at all.
368  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FTX or Binance? on: November 06, 2021, 07:55:40 PM
I never margin traded at FTX but did futures trades there.

What I liked -
Quick execution
Low spreads so I don't need to wait longer to get into profits
Less fees in trading

What I didn't like -
Liquidation price is not too far (may be this is for our account's financial standings to keep some funds remaining after early liquidation).

Moreover, I like how they didn't charge me anything when I withdrew all types of cryptocurrencies including btc and even eth (only 1 free withdrawal per day allowed for eth or any erc20 tokens). Meanwhile, you can stake FTT as shown in the table (scroll a bit) to get more free eth and erc20 withdrawals daily.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is the long-term investment in Altcoins? on: November 06, 2021, 07:37:37 PM
We all know that long term investment in Bitcoin is reasonable but how reasonable do you think long term investment in Altcoins is?
I think long-term investment in Altcoins is full of risks but short time investment is more profitable. Do you agree with me?

While there were altcoins that stayed, lots of them went missing with time. Long term investment in altcoin is much better if that coin remains on exchanges and does not get delisted eventually, nor its price should go down so fast that investors panic sell it, else all your hodling period will be wasted. Keeping an altcoin which comes in top 50, and for much better and secured investment, top 10 must be hodl. All of them have a better chance at keeping up the price static and not to get delisted.

What do you think,
Does it really only take 2% of musk's wealth to solve world hunger?

I was thinking whether that 2% of Musk's wealth will be evenly distributed among all the needy ones? Or how will they distribute it? Through money or food? And here comes my biggest concern - will those funds be even distributed at all or will be eaten up by middlemen?

Quote
How do we assess this phenomenon based on its purpose, from a humanity or economic perspective?

It depends on the intentions of the speaker as well as the responsiveness of Musk whether he honestly does what he said, and if he will, what steps will WHO take afterwards?
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why businesses should accept Bitcoin payment on: November 05, 2021, 08:51:44 PM
in the future, for sure all businesses will adopt crypto payments but we must also be aware that the volatility of the bitcoin price will make many businesses owner add other options for payment via other cryptos besides bitcoin payment
When more number of people and business will be adopting bitcoins then there will be a possibility for having less volatile in bitcoin markers. It means bitcoin may rise up over the time due to its limited supply but the domination of beer markets might get diminished when more people are participating in one or other way.

When bitcoin will be having slow and steady bull market and very rarely bear market then merchants will love it to be accepting for their businesses.

If movement of btc skyrockets among merchants, businesses and consumers, we will see volatility increasing more instead of getting reduced and balanced because with btc purchases from consumers' end, merchants and businesses will also sell their btc at month end or some time in future to keep balance between fiat-crypto. This will add additional instability to the already volatile bitcoin and may businesses decide to keep btc, it does not keep going up so if it drops, those businesses will also suffer so they will need to maintain the balance.

I have an argument here - if they (businesses) were to accept btc, they would have started to accept gold or platinum or even petrol against their goods or services because these things have a tangibility value.
372  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand the market in advance on: November 05, 2021, 08:30:30 PM
Reading market sentiments is not only impossible, but risky too.
Though, there are signs which can tell you about the situation in the markets.

Trend is your friend, so follow where the trend is going.
Look for the patterns (google about patterns and you will learn about so many patterns).
Look for higher highs and lower lows because they indicate trend changes.
Doji, shooting star and other various candle types can help understand the next candle's move.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one are You ? on: November 05, 2021, 08:14:12 PM
I am a casual social gambler as I hardly gamble these days and I didn't gamble like an addicted person ever before. Gambling is in my nerves but not as an addiction, as a habit with limitations that I follow to keep control on my money I use while gambling. It is true that many gamblers don't commit that they are addicted either due to being unknown of their activities, or due to shame and guilt.
374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start somewhere on: November 05, 2021, 07:41:35 PM
Starting from little helps a lot.
I remember when btc was just $500 and I thought it would not go high any further (listening to those bearish comments). Later, I saw it at $5k and decided to buy small parts so I don't miss out on the future opps. Starting with little is good, but compounding it is even better and can multiply your returns at a point later. Buying with a fixed value vs buying with some extra added value every month makes a big difference if you calculate and the compounding percentage does not need to be 5 or 10%, even 1% can add much. Take it as 'extra leverage' you get without trading futures.  Wink
375  Economy / Economics / Re: Legalising would give a chance to Latin America on: November 05, 2021, 07:33:59 PM
Most of the women and girls that are being trafficked for the sex trade are being drugged to get them to become dependent on the drugs that are forcefully given to them. It is not just about taxes ....but rather the dark side to the drug industry..that are wrong in so many ways.

I have had friends that stole from their mothers and family members.. just to get money for drugs... and I know of several house burglaries and car hijackings that was done by criminals to pay for their drug habits.

So hard drugs are linked to many gruesome crimes and that is why it should not be legalized.  Angry

IMHO drugs must be completely banned to save the current and upcoming generations from extinction, because drugs are making a person kill another just to steal his money and buy drugs. I have also seen children being drugged to make them beg for those bastards who are behind child trafficking, which is heartbreaking and ridiculous. Even if drugs get legalized, the drug mafia will not let things go normal because they want all this to happen so to keep their business booming.
376  Economy / Speculation / Re: JP Morgan: bitcoin could hit $146,000 on: November 05, 2021, 06:58:53 PM
How would btc go 146k without its volatility? There will be no fun if there are no adventurous fluctuations in btc's value. IIRC, JP Morgan was the company that said btc has no intrinsic value and will not be there in near future. Now they changed their statement with times? Btc has made so many big names fall in love with it and change their minds, I am waiting for Bill Gates and Warren Buffett to invest in btc and declare about it publicly.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with the hype on: November 04, 2021, 11:14:41 PM
Been extremely careful with how we go about our analysis will help save a lot.

A trader cannot save himself if he is greedy, he cannot save himself if he is not a trader but gambler.

Quote
Just wondering why developers would come up with nice projects only to crash after a short while keeping investors in losses.

Because they like to scam these investors who are addicted to getting scammed for whatever money as such investors are greedy and will try to chip in very fast, thinking that they will be millionaires. Meanwhile, some early investors also dump on good projects all for money, which would have done better if they were still up. For 'money is everything' type investors, they don't think of the consequences they may face when they will get dumped over.
378  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't lose your profit unnecessarily on: November 04, 2021, 10:46:28 PM
<<>>
We are currently on some trend which is NFT and the hype was all around and thats why whenever you do make out some profits
then its better to secure it immediately.

Dont wait up for some u-turn in  the market which you would really be regretting on missing out those amounts.

The market is in its peak moments where 'what will happen when' cannot be said. Nearly, every other crypto is pumping and break their all time high records, but when greed joins the game, 'bad' investors turn it into a frightening dream by crashing the market. I don't go beyond what is in my hands and take out profits that look reasonable for the trades because drop by drop, we can fill our bags too instead of going for a big one.
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going public saying you own Bitcoin is not safe anymore on: November 04, 2021, 10:29:56 PM
Man, it really doesn't make sense as to why people go and brag about holding crypto currencies despite the situation of the world right now. Even if they did not know that crypto related crimes are increasing, it should be common sense that tells them how stupid it is to flaunt your crypto currency assets when many are trying so hard to get their hands on these assets since some are desperate due to this pandemic. Specially when you own a bag that has a considerably huge value in terms of usd! I hope no one ever follows such bad examples. I'd really hate for it to hapoen to anyone.

Do you know some people who are new to doing new things?
Have you met such persons ever? Then you may realise what excites them to flaunt their holdings of not just crypto, anything they buy or get (to learn) new in their life. Some people have the habits of sharing everything, which is not good for their personal life because they do not like to keep secrets and it turns to be dangerous sometimes for them. Getting a bag full of USD snatched away by thieves is not a mistake of that person as he didn't even tell anyone about it, but the awareness of scammers as they knew that the guy is holding such thing. So sometimes, even if you don't brag about your holdings, scammers try their tactics to find out about you and then they attack you with a plan.
380  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC rise to 1 million US dollars? on: November 04, 2021, 10:12:48 PM
I am very much interested in seeing btc in 6 figure before we talk million. We are expecting a parabolic run for btc based on stock2flow model, but we forgot that the more expensive it gets, the more harder it will be for us to accumulate it. And I noticed that the parabolic runs took place every 4 years since the first ever 'pump' in btc, so I think it will be 8-12 years based on the speed or if we see the stock2flow in works, it will be very early.
