521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your thoughts for half year on: July 06, 2021, 09:51:58 PM
The second half of this year will not be so exciting as the first half was, and that is coz btc is in a very tight range and cannot break high due to too much selling pressure on major resistance areas. If btc continues ranging like this, then we may expect an alt season taking place again. Alts have given too much profits and the losses were even bigger to some of us, so take your entries at the lowest which is now, and wait for the markets to be shot up.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gov must have power to reverse transactions, says co-chair of blockchain caucus on: July 06, 2021, 09:12:54 PM
Yes, there is more easy access for cryptocurrency tracking than the fiat moves. Governments say it doesn't have control over the network and the same could fund terrorism and so on. This is how the government mislead people at the beginning in my country. Later it even tried to relate some fund transaction as funding to terrorism. This made more people stay away from crypto currency usage. Now people have got the better understanding, so nothing to worry on the manipulation by government in a different approach.

You know there are countries where terrorism is funded by governments only, they either do it for the sympathy or they do it to show their citizens and the world how dangerous they are. What can an other country's government do to that government spending behind terrorism? Nothing. So why these 'innocent' governments are before crypto? Because even if traceable, crypto does not bring them huge taxes yet.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: July 06, 2021, 08:53:09 PM
I post here as I want to gamble with that money which I can consider 'affordable to lose'. Not free, but I know that when I have extra money available on hands, why should I be forced by somebody to give him money and if I don't, then that guy shouts about my gambling habits to everyone?
524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about NFTs? on: July 06, 2021, 06:19:52 PM
I think that the NFT boxes' concept is much powerful against the men who cannot say 'no' to their families and want to buy something that adds suspense to the scene here. But I do not know that how does an image be used to be sold as an NFT? So once bought an NFT, how can you be so sure that the same NFT will not be minted again?
525  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will China's crackdown on Bitcoin cause Bitcoin to become worthless? on: July 06, 2021, 05:19:15 PM
There is immense fear in markets and China is adding more lemon juice in the acids by doing this. For bitcoin to have a chance to recover, fresh miners as well as new countries need to take it over from the hands of China. The cause may be because miners sold their coins after this announcement?  Huh
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Btc or Usdt? Which is better to gamble with? on: July 06, 2021, 03:16:41 AM
But most charge shameful fees for withdrawals. Ethereum is even worse, but a few also offer XRP or TRX. TRX is quite nice as it has very low fees anyway, is fast and withdrawals can also be cheap. Even Dogecoin became expensive you could say, certainly on some websites.

But like I mentioned in my first post, I didn't discuss about other cryptocurrencies but bitcoin and usdt only because usdt is 'nearly' fixed because I have also seen big manipulations in it during times when btc swings too much while being very much volatile. And when btc dips, altcoins like xrp and trx dip more in percentage compared to btc, so these alternatives are also not worth to be gambled with.
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why women are the minority in crypto land? on: July 05, 2021, 10:38:26 PM
Op, if your question would be in 2014-15 period, it would have looked more genuine. But now, I see so many women taking part (not in the same number as males do, but there are lots of women in crypto). Check bounties, that is the best place to know how many girls are lurking over there to participate in bounties and earn their share. It is good that even if they don't trade, they are making something through bounties.
528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you run when you fail or loose in a trade? on: July 05, 2021, 10:33:51 PM
It is our mistake that we commit while trading, then why should we blame crypto for those mistakes? (This is for that guy who advocates against crypto now).

Going behind every loss is not good, but a few losses which were highly unexpected should be looked for, and the reasons must be written down so that the trader does not repeat it again in future.
529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You got a pifzer ? Then you can be eligible for lottery in Poland. on: July 05, 2021, 10:19:48 PM
Insane how Poland didn't get a good number of people vaccinated yet, even after releasing these lotteries. Their government is doing a great job but citizens seem to be non co-operative, that is why many people die due to corona because of lack of self-protection. Hope that their citizens will understand the concerns and start getting vaccinated quickly.
530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Economic Costs of Gambling on: July 05, 2021, 09:31:13 PM
Why do they allow gambling to such extent when they already know how expensive it can be to the society? Why to allow casinos at the first place? It is because governments collect hefty taxes from this industry in order to let it run, the same goes to drugs and alcohol. If we expect the change, we need to be the change and start taking the first step so to let addicted gamblers come back under the category of normal gamblers who know and understand their limits.
What exactly do you mean by "to let addicted gamblers come back under the category of normal gamblers"? Do you want addicted players to come back to the tables? In my opinion this would be a very bad idea, because this would make these poor people worse off if they are able to gamble again.

You misunderstood my point. I meant that the gamblers should be stopped from playing a lot and let them be capped at some point so they will not lose what they can if they continue to gamble. So if this cap is imposed and they have lost that much, they will not be allowed to gamble for some time which may move the addiction of gambling out of them.
531  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race II - UFC Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: July 05, 2021, 09:12:16 PM

-snip

I do not see a way to edit the information. o.O

Go to the account menu - settings - verify. There you can edit your information.

I should've been more specific.

https://stake.com/settings/verify ----> Doesn't give me the option to edit. ( Can't see the edit button if there is ) . If I hover my cursor towards the textbox it shows an icon(which looks like the red sign I drew. ) that the box is not available to be edited.

If you have already set up your details before, I think you cannot edit it again. Don't know tbh as may be that is the problem here because I never set my details in the 'verify' area, so I can still edit those details and set them up. I think you can mail them on their official email address or ask them through support ticket, the procedure to change your details.
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gov must have power to reverse transactions, says co-chair of blockchain caucus on: July 05, 2021, 08:38:59 PM
What is so anonymous here? All transactions are transparent, mostly traceable and there are agencies who are capable of tracing any transaction. It had been observed that there were many crypto thefts which got identified and thieves got arrested, as well as money was retrieved whereas in fiat, there is no such point of discussing traceability. Governments are all playing with the sentiments of people to drop the idea of buying btc and it shows that they are trying to manipulate crypto markets to end it all at once.

Check out this big win on our Sportsbook! Shocked

That is insane! That guy made a ~€14.5k bet and won a 3x odds bet. It was a clean sweep from Atlanta Hawks as they managed to play really well, I didn't think they would win against Bucks whose past performances were so good and also won their last two encounters with Hawks before this match but it cannot guarantee the future so they lost. Kudos to that guy who won more than a btc worth of euros.
535  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin a good investment in this pendamic situation? on: July 04, 2021, 07:53:34 PM
Like everybody here, I think you should wait for the right opportunity rather than fomo in. That doesn't mean that btc will not go high, but its recovery takes years sometimes and if the investor doesn't have the patience to be in btc for long term, he'll do the same thing of panic selling that he did during fomo'ing. Why not buy btc at much better rates instead of buying now and waiting for it to touch ath and break it while it probably reverses down?

537  Economy / Speculation / Re: 22 july, BTC 20k$ or 70k$? on: July 04, 2021, 07:08:35 PM
After Elon's recent try to pump doge failed so miserably, I don't think he has got any good impact on users to fall for him any more. Whatever is decided in the meeting, they were institutions who bought btc and sold it off later. I think they will not take btc again to a new ath this year because it will become too much expensive for them to buy it and if btc falls again like it fell down 50% from its ath, how will they recover their losses again?
538  Other / Archival / Re: Why is it a waste of time and money to buy ready-made trading strategies? on: June 29, 2021, 11:09:26 PM
If strategies and bots were to work for long time, nobody would go to their 9-to-5 jobs but sit at home, buy that strategy, put it on the charts and see the game. And if that would be possible, then every single trader in this practical world would have impractically hard cash as we see in Zimbabwe. If a strategy or bot would work for long time, nobody would sell them but keep using them for his own benefits.
539  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price Prediction: $350k before the end of 2022 on: June 29, 2021, 10:02:36 PM
$350k will need at least 10 times the volume institutions poured in to take btc to $65k. Speaking numbers is easy, turning it into reality isn't. Btc is still bound in the range of $30k-$36k and it retraces up/down after touching those areas. The positivity in markets can also be a bull trap by marker makers to grab their chance to sell their coins for high price. You are helping them by speculating a figure which is not a 'sane speculation' because even I started thinking btc would go $1 million soon but it didn't. Turned back from only $65k.  Undecided
540  Economy / Economics / Re: Binace Markets, subsidiray of Binance, banned from operating in UK on: June 29, 2021, 09:20:57 PM
They banned only Binance, that means they have an issue with only Binance, due to one reason or the other which we all are yet to know. The news didn’t say that they cryptocurrency in general, so that means people are still free to make use of cryptocurrency in UK. The only thing is that Binance users that are in UK will now have to switch to other exchanges that are there in the UK, such as Coinbase or any other that is very similar to Binance, or even Luno.

Hopefully Bianance will work on making themselves complying with the regulations of UK so that they may get chances to resume their services in UK as China may not remain their homeland anymore for all crypto related services.

Mate, do you even know how much percentage of the entire crypto economy is captured by Binance all over the world at present? I understand that we are taking about UK only, but when we talk about Binance, we don't use it only because it's a part of our country but it has got a global reputation which not all the exchanges have. And if Binance is being cracked down in a country, do you think other exchanges are strong enough to fight their government if they get scrutinized for whatever reasons?
