So, the thread is full of noobs with nothing to say I see, what's with that? How come they're all all invading right now?

And also, the price have dropped some 10 000 dollars since I last checked, didn't see that coming, I thought 30 000-ish would be the bottom. But then again I was wrong about the top as well.

To those that commented my picture, no I'm not on a health food diet, they put the green stuff on the plate without telling me, it was a surprise.
Yes it is yummy, very much so, so much so that I get hungry just thinking about it, and I just had a big meal at a nice restaurant (forgot to take pictures, sorry).

And I have nothing more to say really, well except that Ukraine is still winning, 500 meters a day.
Although the Russians have learned to fight a little better than before, the learning curve in war is steep, you learn or you die. It's gonna be a long war

Anyway, stay cool, I'll be back soon.

Whacchu on about willis ? looking back like past 10-20-30 pages or so , the thread is full of long time regulars, legendary and hero, copper etc etc status etc, chatting as usual ? and one or two posts from rando troll/bot accounts ....or am I missing something ? You on catch up?

The last meal you posted did look good though ......

Re Ukraine.... my analysis tells me different ......... for better or for worse (no judgement from me) it seems land bridge is fully established now, and next on the cards, unfortunately, because it is not something I wish to see, Odessa is in play in coming months for the Ruskis.

Also, whaddya have at the nice restaurant ? in lieu of photos I am curious

Peace

Don't know what it's called in English actually "oxfilé med pommes frites och bearnaisesås med lökringar som tillbehör och lite sallad".

"filet of ox with french fries and bearnaise sauce and onion rings at the side and some sallad" maybe. I'm sure you get it.

Made my first BTC purchase after a big while. My ~20% portfolio = BTC. And this ain't a trade or something, it's the long-term hodl.

For the remaining 80%, I'm gonna wait & be extra cautious throughout the year. Going to keep watching Fed's actions & speeches closely. I won't mind getting more BTC exposure at a bit higher price in case I miss the bottom, but I really wanna see Fed's behavior getting a bit softer than right now for further BTC exposure. As of now, dollar is just too strong to ignore.

Don't wait too long we are very close to the bottom and when it goes up it be it will be explosive.

The bottom has traditionally come a year after the top, this cycles top was however a twin top and weirdly low, so it might be different this time, but I doubt it.
So, in short, I think the bottom is in around december-ish.

bitcoin loves Sweden (and hates Russia, as do every normal person in the world).

Bitcoin loves Russia, and Sweden, and the Ukraine, and America, and everyone else.

That’s not some sort of hippie singing-Kumbaya nonsense.  It is the hardheaded practical wisdom of an absolutely neutral monetary system—something that you will appreciate when the shoe is on the other foot.

Russia is welcome to use Bitcoin!  It also means that Putin can’t stop anyone anywhere from using Bitcoin.  That is a package deal:  You can’t get one without the other.

I defend my enemies’ right to use Bitcoin, and I even encourage them to use Bitcoin.  For if they use Bitcoin, their self-interest then compels them to protect my Bitcoin.  The more I hate someone, the more I want that person to use Bitcoin.  It should go without saying, I also want my friends to use Bitcoin; and the more I love someone, the more I want that person to use Bitcoin.  As such, nothing that I say about Bitcoin implies anything either way (or any which way) about my own political alignments.

It was a joke Sheldon.

Sweden to join NATO along with Finland Putin sure knows how to help Russia (not)

He is helping oil people. OPEC is going to increase its oil production and why not at the current price per barrel.

hmm $120 a barrel and OPEC will raise 400,000 Barrels a day or  48 million a day this is about $17,520,000,000 a year

Is there a point to your incohesive ramblings?

And of course that didn't work either.

If you wonder why bitcoin is going up, it's because it's Swedens national day today, and bitcoin loves Sweden (and hates Russia, as do every normal person in the world).
Go Sweden!

I was going to post a Swedish flag here, but imgBB seems to be out of order so I'll just post my crest instead (one of the few pictures i could acces), so, go me I guess.

"dangerous spot to be in as foreigners" Where on earth are you? I didn't know such spots even existed in Europe today.

Yeah, that's what he said. On the side of the speedway in Italy. I didn't ask him for details, but trusted him as he was a local guy.
Why would he exaggerate, though?

To tow you a little longer?

Hi, diplovers  Grin

Just returned from the most expensive short vacation ever. No, it wasn't Japan. Just a quick four hour drive over the border to the sea.
On the way back, the motherfucking car broke down on the highway!!!  Undecided
First i thought a heavy chopper was flying in low altitude over us, which isn't uncommon near a NATO base, but then i missed the Doppler effect, so i slowed down, and the chopper noise did too  Shocked Fuck! I immediately stopped and then i could hear one of the cylinders blowing off air, and we could smell exhaust gas through the AC air outlets.
Got the car tied away, with us six passengers inside, because the driver of the tow truck said it's a pretty dangerous spot to be in as foreigners, so he took us to the next service area station. We called a cab to bring us to the border, where we were picked up by a friend, so we paid only half of what we would if the cabby would have taken us home.
I suggest a broken glow plug, which the car mechanic couldn't remove at the last repair, finally fell into the cylinder. That would make a nice four figures repair bill.
My only hope is that the damn thing was loosened and blown out by the compressed air (it's a diesel engine), or it broke into tiny pieces when hitting the piston, which were blown outside, finally before damaging the cylinder wall.

More info on monday, when the engine will be inspected.
Shit happens. Life goes on.

The good news:
I sitll didn't sell a satoshi.
Insurance extended my sickness benefit for another year.

ewwwww wtf dude, I would not feed that shit to my dogs.

I recognise the frankfurters or whatever that sausage is, but wtf is that other two piles of slop?

Mash and shrimp "sallad" basically turnip, shrimp in mayo, with a hint of ketchup, it's a swedish classic, of course the non cheap versions don't have the turnip, but this is the cheapest place to eat in the whole country so.
234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 24, 2022, 01:33:35 PM
And on that note, are we just gonna ignore my car now and talk bitcoin instead? When did that shift towards bitcoin happen?

I'm starting to miss the old WO: fine dining reports (and dick pics haha NOT  Grin) by El Duderino, gentlemand and his humor, endless dramas of Bawb, even the retarded fucks like old nazi roach (are you reading this now, you old nazi prick?  Grin), mindrust and his confusion and short-sighted moves. LFC_Bitcoin's bullishness, lastofthev8s etc etc etc... even annoying trolls like gembitz (no thanks, just kiddin). Trains, rockets, hulks....  where are they? Just think about it: we'll reach 100k and beyond but things are not gonna be the same. People change, times change, we are getting divided by pandemics, wars etc. This old WO is lost, it's gone forever. Prolly nothing, just getting old and sentimental. No more Lambos, hookers and blow.  Cool

It so happens that I visited Biltema today in order to buy a lightbulb, and as usual I bought me some food, so here you go, a picture of my fine dining.

Point is, the Biden administration gave the greenlight for Russia to invade.

The criminal regime in Washington forced Russia to invade. Russia has the right to defend itself!

Must be tough for you russians to loose against a bunch of hillbillys who doesn't even live in a real country and don't have a language of their own, just badly spoken russian.

A short report on my magical E3 spark plugs.

Various users of older cars have reported one or more of the below.
Smoother idle.
A feeling of better torque.
quieter engine.
better milage.

Does mine idle smoother? Maybe a little bit when it's up to working temperature, but it's marginal at best.
Better torque? No definetely not, if anything it's a little bit more sluggish.
Quieter engine? Yes oddly enough, it is a little bit more silent.
Better milage? well that remains to be seen.

The verdict is in and, yes, to my surprise it made quite a difference on the milage.

First let me explain how we measure that over here.
Unlike Americans who measure distance per fuel unit, (miles per gallon) we do the opposite and measure fuel per distance (liter per mil) A Swedish- sometimes called Scandinavian- mil is 10 km.

An old style car would usually take one liter per mil, that’s what my Volvo Amazons took and my Volvo 740s and my SAAB 900 and so on, you get the picture.

My current 30 years old Volvo 940 was taking a whooping 1,14 l/m when I bought it, it got a bit higher after a while, around 1,17 it even went as high as 1,19 at one point, so I decided to try and get that down.

I first did all the things you normally do anyway, changed the oil and oil filter, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, checked the tire pressure, changed transmission fluid, and since I changed the cam shaft belt I also changed the water pump and fluid.
I was now back to 1,14
I also swapped the engine fan for an electric fan after a tip on a Utube video, where a guy removed his fan on an old 240 and saved a deciliter per mil. Didn’t do anything on mine.

Next step was to change the old fuel filter for a new one, during the process, as I was jerking the old filter around to get it out, the fuel pipe sprung a leak, turned out it was pretty rusty, fixed that with a piece of hose.

And that actually made a rather big difference, I was now down to 1,09, and since winter was coming and I work on my car outside, I stopped fiddling with it.

Come mars and I stumble on a Utube video about some magic spark plugs that supposedly will do wonders for old cars in terms of fuel consumption, among other things.
I do a little googling around and it seems that a lot of people speak highly of these spark plugs, called E3, when used on older cars, with newer cars not so much, it seems like all the computer shit in newer cars can’t handle these plugs.

So I ordered four plugs, they cost about seven bucks a plug, so no overprice really.
They arrive and I install them, and now the verdict is in, they did to my big surprise do quite a difference, I am now down to 1,04 liter/mil.

From 1,09 to 1,04 on spark plugs alone is quite remarkable, I will stick to these.

Next is to change the air flow thingy and change the spark plug wires for some new NGK wires I have had lying around since autumn.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scandinavian_mile

Edit: for you Americans, that's 0.013208603 Gallons per 6.2137119 miles saved.
Or, in other words, about 2,4 ish litres, or 0.6 ish gallons per full tank.

Oh, and Ukraine is still winning, and Russia is still the home of all evil.

A Russian general was talking to his wife that,

Russia's war in Ukraine is actually a war against NATO.

She asked, so how 's it going?

General: "Well we have been fighting for 2 month. We have lost over 15,000 brave soldiers, 6 generals, over 1000 tanks and fighting vehicles, 3 ships, 200 planes and drones and 5000 trucks."

"That's terrible..  and what about NATO?" she asked

"Well..." the general scratches his head "Well... they haven't turned up yet"

It's a good joke, I know because I posted it two months ago. Wink

However, if you tell me that it was all a conspiracy, then this is a road that you have to travel by yourself.
My rule is to not expect a conspiracy when it could be explained by rushing 'something' and/or incompetency.

Some of us have lived long enough lives to know that the world going from one crisis (Covid, world shutdown, mass layoffs), to another crisis (Money printer go brrr, massive inflation), to another crisis (Ukraine War), to another crisis (supply chain constraints, oil shortage, food shortage, etc.) to another crisis (Monkeypox, or whatthefuckeverisnext), in just a span of a few years is NOT normal. Like at all. The odds of such a pattern happening organically in such a short span of time are ridiculously low, low enough to know that they would have to be completely manufactured, planned events.

That is the conspiracy part. Rolling from one catastrophe to another and then another is not normal.

Those that believe otherwise just haven't lived long enough to know better.

But, "Covid, world shutdown, mass layoffs", and "Money printer go brrr, massive inflation" and "supply chain constraints, oil shortage, food shortage"  is the same crisis, they are all a sideffect of the world wide lockdowns. Oil shortage and food shortage is getting worse due to the Ukrainian war though, so I guess that could be seen as part of both those crisis.

And most of us in here don't have to worry about monkeypox, we have all been vaccinated against smallpox, and that supposedly also covers monkeypox.
