My tolerance for whining is zero right now so I shut Chartbuddy off. I notice also that the price dropped after I did so so draw your own conclusions.
... turn it back on, it's just some stupid old norwegian curmudgeon who a) creates dramas so people will talk to him and break his sad loneliness and b) is too stupid to ever being able to figure what the CB 3d Wall means frustrates the hell out of him ... hourly and more frequently during high percentage price moves please Norwegian?

I'll have Chartbuddy merit everyone back on both posts (up to 200 merits total)
Don't merit back... this kind of merit "trading" is usually frowned upon since merit is supposed to be used for good posts, not to pay someone back. Come to think of it, even voting via merit is kinda sketchy but at least those yes/no posts could arguably be considered "good". Don’t need them back.... thought the yes no is a good idea.... not many More yes needed if the no isn’t merited .... :-) But imo some positive previous history of the thread shouldn’t be ignored but embraced, it’s just a part of the thread Or, you could just let previous history be previous.

So to recap, r0ach, gembitz, nullius, and other off-topic shitheads are/were fine but on-topic wall-themed posts are irritating and shall be banished or voted out.
If only there was a feature that would allow some users to ignore other users instead of getting their panties in a bunch... but that would require exercising individual freedom of choice, and we obviously can't have that in this anarchist paradise, can we.
If r0ach, gembitz, nullius, and other off-topic shitheads would botpost every hour I'm pretty sure they would be banned. The reason I don't like CB is the fact that it's just posting a chart, information that I or anybody else can and do look up ourselves when we need it, it feels like force feeding something I don't want to be fed. I wouldn't mind it so much if there was some kind of analysis coming with the charts, like everybody else's charts, but just posting a chart is like someone posting the time or the weather or some other info, just for the hell of it. We all have watches, and computers with weather forecasts, just like we have computers with charts that we can look at at will, no need to post it here every hour.

I am appreciative of Chart Buddy. I was a lurker on this thread for the first ~3-4 years. I first got into bitcoin for Poker. And almost all of my posting between 2011-2013-14 was related to poker. I remember getting my first deleted post in the "Show your mining rigs" thread where I posted a picture of me sitting at a Seals with Clubs table. But that WAS my mining rig. But I watched this thread, and would, from time to time read through a few pages. But I used to like to see the Chart Buddy posts. In fact I remember that a post from it would spark some conversation about a huge sell or buy wall, and at the time I was really just beginning to understand why that data was helpful, or at least interesting and meaningful. Anyway, I thing it is a great thing for this thread, which may even be more on-topic than 90% of our posts, and that it will spark discussion. I think for the minority that finds it annoying, the IGNORE button is an acceptable compromise. Unless the majority finds it negative, in which case I would yield to the majority. But my impression is most find it a +. I agree it does not need to post super often. (although I used to get a kick out of, during the quiet times, how it would post a page full of graphs. ) How do you (or I for that matter) know that a minority dislikes CB. I also remember the days of a whole page of only CB, and I had the very opposite reaction to yours. None of you have played the "free speech" card, and I find that a bit depressing in a thread of supposedly mostly libertarians. I have myself thought about it and decided that all though it is so irritating that it makes my skin crawl, I have decided that my initial reaction was wrong. I will just ignore and let live. Go resurrect the idiot bot. To your first question. A poll. We don't know otherwise. To the free speech argument: This is a moderated thread on a moderated forum. I respect the right of the people involved to absolutely limit "free speech". I think that argument is in error. Free speech means: -starting another thread here with no moderation -starting another bitcoin forum with no moderation -just using something like 4chan And I think participating in a moderated, or curated forum IS a form of free speech. Yes I'm all for a poll, like I said. Regarding the free speech, yes you are perfectly right, but It seems like mods are in favor of the bot, so. It's their platform. And if the old posters get sad if they don't get to see a useless picture once every hour then let them enjoy their nostalgia. I'll ignore and grind my teeth when I see his name.

I think it's time for a new poll. There can be only one question - to allow Chart Buddy or not?
I second that, and I will stop whining if I lose. And there will be no ignoring of Rick. But if the bot wins, let's have another poll after, say six months, when all the n00bs have felt the annoyance. It's hard for them to have an opinion on something they haven't experienced. Having said that, I understand the nostalgia that some old posters in here might feel, I just never could stand Chart buddy.

Looks better with black background.
I will bear it in mind. This was a minimal effort resurrection. Please stop resurrecting and let the idiot die. What's the fucking point of chart buddy? it doesn't give any information that we don't already have. Everybody in here watches bitcoinity all the time anyway. It's just irritating. The reason I wasn't active in this thread earlier was actually because of chart buddy, every time you dropped in on this thread you would see that fucking bot in post after post, taking up space and giving no useful information. I basically stayed in the "Gentlemen..." thread or did not post at all until the idiot poster was gone. I think your in the minority. You can choose to ignore I think you are just a loud minority, just like the BLM et al. And he is already on ignore. I might ignore Ricky as well as a matter of principle. Edited.

Actually, it is funny why anyone would give any credit to proudhon... the nincumpoop. Everybody knows it's Elon's fault. This market was getting stupid, suchmoon, assmoon, shiba(knock off of doge?) like we jumped the shark from buzzword defis that had some tech and went straight to fucking idiots throwing their money at stupid shit again. Fucking Bitconnect all over again. My mother in law called and asked me about bitcoin and my sister said she like doge because the dog on it and asked how to buy some. I was going to fucking move 10% of my holdings into cash on sunday but was calculating how to with the least tax impact (is btc to usdt a taxable event?) and well I didn't so ill just hodl all the way fucking down just like the last bear market. This isn't a bear market you jellyhands, this was just a normal big dip in the normal cyclic every four year bull market. Why would you even think that?

So I left a comment on the BBC article today saying I don't believe the reported inflation figures at all (suppossedly less than 2% per annum they are indicating). Especially if we consider the increase in house prices (8% in the UK per annum). Council tax increases on average in the UK at 4.3% I also indicated locally you can see changes such as my barbers putting his prices with 25%. He has too. On top of that to pay for the pandemic we are left with tax bands that are not going to increase on year to year along with these false inflation numbers so you are only going to get poorer even if you get 5% ish pay increase (more than on average).
The typical imbecile replies:
- WeLl YoU cAn LoOk Up ThE fIgUrEs InStEaD oF mAkInG iLl InFoRmEd AsSuMpTiOns - WeLl I hAvE sPeNt LeSs DuRiNg ThE pAnDeMiC aNd NoW cUt My OwN hAiR
People have no clue. Things are going to get much, much worse.
Utter morons who can't see what is in front of them. 1.5% inflation?! GTFOH! Nearer 10x!
2012 I started selling small military related stuff, like patches, on my website. The standard domestic postage up to 20g was 6:- (:- = SEK) soon after the postage was raised to 7:- but the weight limit was also raised to 100g. Today, nine years later, the postage is 12:- still 100g weight limit. This is just one of many observations, a McD cheeseburger has recently gone up from 10:-, where it had been for ages, to 13:- and so on. We have an inflation that reminds me of my youth in the late 60s 70s and 80s when the yearly inflation would be around 10-15% (well, up to the 1992 crisis really).
