Morning!

So, I bought some BTC today for the first time since 2014.

I decided to do a little experiment, I was offered a loan from a company (Qliro) and accepted, I borrowed 20 000:- (about 2300 USD), I set aside four months worth of payments on the loan (this will be used to pay of the loan for the coming four months) and bought btc for the rest (17500:- (about 2000 USD)) and I put those btc in a separate wallet.

Now I'm going to sell these btc in December when we go skyrocketing and the little experiment here is to see how much money I will make on this.
The plan is of course to repay the loan in full in December and do something fun with the profit.
I have been offered to up the loan with another 50 000:-, I might do that, still thinking about it.

So, as you can see the whole point is to make money without having to put in any of my own.

I did accept the offer to up the loan with 50 000, the money should be in my account on Monday, I will move it to another bank and do this buy from another broker, the brokers I use take about 10% commission, so my firs goal will be to reach break even.

I like your thinking and this is something I did last year and enjoying the benefits of
this year but you are posting off topic here.

Have a look at this thread in the trading discussion board.

How weird is it to borrow money and invest into Bitcoin?

Looks like we’re about to bounce off the trend line. If things continue as they are, I could see hitting new highs in early October. Certainly that would be the beginning of a run to a blow off top sometime in early December. That is if you believe in fractals or stock to flow ratios.

100% so. We could hit an ATH already in September. After that the face-melting mother of all pumps will start. That's all SOMA of course.  Cool

Traditionally September has not been a great month for Bitcoin but remember back in
April we said traditionally April was one of the best months and it turned into a
damp squib, hopefully September can buck the historical data.

Off topic? in the WO? You must be new here.
Thank's for the tip but I don't wander outside of the WO, it's too full of stupid people.

Does the market really need to test $43k again before heading upwards?
I suppose we will know by Friday.

Time to fill the sprayer tank to protect my potato crop from blight.
Then start at first light in around half an hour while the air is at its stillest.
Have a good day all whatever you have planned.

You too Bill.

We know marcus, the world is a scary place. Maybe try enrolling in a group hug therapy session. A reminder of what human contact is like could do you some wonders therapeutically.

How does that relate to the efficiency of the vaccine again?

for bitcoiners its kind of the same amount.

if you spend 1000 $ worth of bitcoin 2020 for wood and the same amount in bitcoin in 2021 you kind of get the same amount of wood.

The price of wood is more or less back to normal now.

This guy did a test, he drove 400 km, same route, with and without a fan.
He saved 10% fuel and 0-90 was 1 sec faster, springweather, 10-12 degrees, no problem with overheating.

Yes. The fan is most useful at low speeds and when not moving. As I found out once upon a time.

It looks like his fan is clutched though?

Don't really know what that means, it's a "visko fan" the hotter it gets the more it connects to the engine and the more it turns, its some kind of fluid and a bimetal thingi inside.

I guess the next exciting price is previous ATH. Might be a bit of a slog.

Yeah, I'm still in kind of "been there done that" mode.

My first (several) cars had vacuum windshield wipers. They slowed down when you went up a hill.

Wow, that's old Smiley

I remember buses having that when I was a kid, every time the bus stopped the wipers stopped or slowed down as well.

Jesus How old are you! Cheesy

When were car Thermostats stock?

My first car didn't have a rear window heater until I added one myself Smiley

I believe thermostats are still pretty standard?

That Ford Capri of mine didn't have a rear window heater either, I also added a aftermarket one. I remember it was a sticker type thing, peel of the protective plastic and attach it to the window and plug in the the two wires to a power source via a switch. Simple and worked pretty well, but ugly as f.
They don't make them anymore, I was looking for one a couple of years ago as replacement for the broken one on the car I had back then.

I have been pondering if I should change the thermostat or not, but I might just as well go all the way and change that and the pump while I'm at it.
Electric fans is nothing new to me however, my SAAB 900 from -88 had one.

And also, I had no idea cars doesn't have distributor caps anymore.

Yep. Haven't had a distributor since 2000 and that was my wife's mini. My current car doesn't even have spark plugs Cheesy

Diesel doesn't count Smiley

So how does it work nowadays then?

Thanks.

That would make me so nervous, I would constantly expect the computer stuff to break down and leave me stranded by the wayside.

I actually did the cardboard thing last winter, I have trouble getting the car really hot. One of the reasons I'm changing the fluid, I'm gonna flush the heatpack.
838  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 23, 2021, 02:49:37 PM
So how does it work nowadays then?

Typically the points are done solid state and you just have a coil per plug or cylinder (coil packs). So no need to be switching high voltages around and no moving parts.

Fans are no longer driven with fan belts either Cheesy No more shoving cardboard down the front of the radiator on cold days.

Sounds great, wish that could be retrofitted to my car.
