I'm really glad I chose what I did!

I agree in general terms, but I've got buyer's remorse or the after-party blues or something for these 2 rounds.
I just wish I'd been more on the ball and pulled out when it became clear these Jupiters would arrive later than planned.

I agree things could be better ... but I think we're still in good shape on this one.  Not so sure about the other buys.  Too much hashpower being added for my taste, not convinced we'll get ROI elsewhere.

M

True that. Such an arms race.
1368  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Neptune GB With Coinsortium .4 BTC=100 GH/s 11/30 shares on: December 17, 2013, 10:19:35 AM
So weird. This was one of the best gb's at the time.

What happens next? Is there a batch 3? Are rumours of new jupiters coming out of knc true? How can they or 'batch3' possibly be cheap enough? etc. etc. etc.

1370  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining for the little guy isn't dead on: December 16, 2013, 09:41:08 PM
uk delivery on an x-1 was 50$ plus or 100$ plus for faster
I didn't even ask about customs/VAT, but I'm guessing the shipper will ring me up when it's at heathrow and say Customs need 20%.
It all adds up doesn't it? Minersource do hosting, you could save maybe by not importing it. They are cool guys, very approachable, but always very busy. hth
1371  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining for the little guy isn't dead on: December 16, 2013, 08:32:04 PM
minersource is definitely legit authorised resellers.
there are rumours of an eu reseller being sorted, though, see the blackarrow thread

Is this all i need to do?

They'll pobably send you an email asking for your payout address, unless you entered it in the notes field on the order page.

Please could you also pray to the gods of difficulty and delivery times to be benevolent this coming year?
1373  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] btcolympus.com 28nm Hercules ~500 GH/s ASIC NO PREORDERS! on: December 16, 2013, 08:18:42 AM
Their telephone number 'is not accepting calls at present. Please try later.' It's a Derby code.

Hey minewithmind I see your shares are not doing so well
Can I suggest you consider selling to the dz miner's coop?
If you are genuine and need the money, you could work something out, no?

1376  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Ghash.io fail? on: December 15, 2013, 05:50:23 AM
What would you recommend?

IMO, you really can't go wrong with BTCGuild. I've been pondering heading back there myself after all this ghash.io speculation. Doesn't leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling.

To their credit though, their support is very good, pool is solid, but my spider sense is tingling while mining at that pool Sad

That, and my gut is telling me the cex.io GHs pricing is being manipulated by staff with "fake" orders.

</subjective-commentary>

I know you're not asking me, but
+1 to the guild
Most people in your position, NineLives, I've seen them use screenshots from BTCGuild.
