41  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: WHAT! :( Butterfly Lads won't deliver the Monarch Till March or April:( on: December 15, 2013, 07:38:38 PM
Are you allowed to cancel orders?  I mean, delays like this, with new difficulties and teh works, really make the investment pay lower than originally calculated.  Do they offer reimbursement for delayed products?
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help the bitcoin network by being a node. on: December 15, 2013, 07:37:00 PM
Even if you didn't do this, just from buying the bitcoins, you are putting more money into the system.  So you are indeed helping it grow.  But I think it's more of a help if you were to go to one of those subways and pay via bitcoin.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Award - A proposal to the community on: December 15, 2013, 07:35:52 PM
I for one think it's an awesome idea.  And Upal, since he made it up, should be the one who holds onto all donations, and be the one to give out the prize.  He's trustworthy enough xD

In all seriousness, it is a fun idea though.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Needed: Unique Christmas Gift ideas bought with BTC on: December 15, 2013, 07:34:51 PM
Depending on how much you wish to spend, I think there's no cooler gift than a physical bitcoin.   But those can get quite expensive...
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 512-qubit Quantum Computer acquired, is bitcoin doomed? on: December 15, 2013, 07:33:56 PM
No chance.  I don't see the encryption on bitcoin being beaten in our lifetimes, or that of our children's.  Maybe in the very late future.  But if bitcion is doomed, EVERY SINGLE secure process on the internet is too.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: He's back! on: December 10, 2013, 07:33:07 PM
Oh my god, this guy is pure gold (no pun intended).  I love this video.  Wow, to have been into the scene at the time he was in on it... What kind of money this dude could have made...  RIDICULOUS!
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ron Paul will be talking Bitcoin soon on Fox Business on: December 10, 2013, 07:17:24 PM

Awesome video, thanks very much. I wonder if he secretly is buying bitcoins, and didn't want to get too excited on the news, just to keep the price down for a bit longer, so he can buy more xD
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: E-Mails for the future of Bitcoin on: December 10, 2013, 06:30:23 PM
HAhaha, I feel like this thread is going to turn this forum into a bot of spammers.  I don't think this is the best way to approach it.  Mass spamming different companies.  How about making emails with more substance, like offering bitcoins for their service, actually asking to buy sommething, instead of just suggesting?
49  Economy / Economics / Re: Close any accounts you have with JP Morgan Chase ASAP on: December 10, 2013, 05:59:10 PM
I liked the article.  What I found most interesting is that it echoes my personal view as well.  IT's true, everyone will be trying to make a bitcoin 2.0, abetter version, that fixes the mistakes.  But will it be able to catch up to bitcoin is the real question. Has bitcoin got too big of a lead?  only time will tell.
50  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sell your apple stocks now, war is amoung us on: December 10, 2013, 05:54:20 PM
That's a bit silly.  I don't see apple's technology and bitcoin fighting for the same market share.  Totally different products.  Not sure how it's a war against bitcoin o_0
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 guy owns a 30th of all the bitcoins in existence!? on: December 10, 2013, 05:49:49 PM
This thread gets more interesting by the minute.  I wonder if Satoshi is scared to come out to the public, or if he/they ever will.  Maybe if bitcoins get super mainstream, he'll come out as a hero of some sort and open his own country with the money he has o_0
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal says (David Marcus): Bitcoin is good on: December 10, 2013, 05:31:13 PM
the way i wrote it was slightly misleading.

i think they will be intrinsically motivated to roll out Bitcoin support in 1 Year.
If they are not motivated at all, they will be toast. they sure have some reserves to last for some time, longer than 1 year, even if they are declining.

I don't know.  I think it really depends on how widely used bitcoins are.  But bitcoin support would be something very easy to program.  If bitcoin got really b ig, really fast, they could integrate it very fast.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal says (David Marcus): Bitcoin is good on: December 10, 2013, 04:06:07 PM
I didn't see this coming.  I'm surprised that speculators are not going crazy and raising the price of bitcoins to 1.2k in these last few minutes!
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin's next catalyst for growth ? on: December 10, 2013, 04:04:39 PM
I think it will be a very easy to use wallet that is phone based, and a lot of merchants accepting it for payment.  Ease of use is fundamental.

56  Economy / Services / Re: Selling Signature Space! on: December 09, 2013, 11:43:18 PM
I dont know... but you'll never get as high a bid as the people who are currently paying for signatures.  You can get much more from joining one of those threads.  Meh, maybe you're doing it for fun, what do i know.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ron Paul will be talking Bitcoin soon on Fox Business on: December 09, 2013, 09:56:35 PM
Wow, love this forum.  If at all possible, could someone record it and maybe upload it to youtube?  I'd love to see what he says.  I'm quite a big fan of Ron Paul even though I'm not an American.
58  Economy / Services / Re: draglet Bitcoin bootcamp launched - learn to trade, win real BTC (100% free) on: December 09, 2013, 08:40:38 PM
Hey,

we are glad that you enjoy our Bitcoin exchange game Smiley.

To further improve the game experience we will offer additional functionality during the next weeks including achievements and extended trading possibilities. To enable all participants to acquaint themselves with the new functions we extend the duration of the current round by 1 month until 1st of March. At the same time we increase the amount of prize Bitcoins to 1.5 in order to maintain the winnable Bitcoin per time unit ratio.

and yes, we have a lot of amazing ideas! Just buckle up and enjoy the (Bitcoin) ride Smiley

REALLY?  Another month?  Dislike...  Next thing you know, it'll be 6 months, then extended to a year with 6 BTC prize.  Then all of a sudden, developer of sight disappears.  Should have left it at 2 months, that's a very long time already.  Or reward people every 15 days for 0.5BTC total.
59  Economy / Services / Re: need pizza dominos please paying spot need in 15 mins on: December 08, 2013, 03:01:12 AM
10 years pass by.  This man becomes legend, for paying 1 million dollars for a dominos pizza.  JUST WAIT FOR IT, IT WILL HAPPEN!  I called it first (some will say I'm gifted with the power of foresight!).
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A survivalist friend wants to put Bitcoin into his emergency "bug-out" bag. How? on: December 07, 2013, 02:25:31 AM
Easy, paper wallet.  Print out a paper wallet.  Transfer the funds he wants to that address.  Then he's set.  If he needs to be able to show it's a real wallet without internet, maybe buy one of those cassius coins (whatever the name is).  They go for like a 400% premium, but even with a dirt nuke, he could still prove they are worth bitcoins.
