81  Economy / Services / Re: Your BTC vs my thank you in the form of your choosing. on: December 04, 2013, 04:08:46 AM
Hahaha, I'm quite sure everyone here is thinking "so... are you a girl or a dude".  If you're a dude, you're most likely shit out of luck.  Hahahhahaha, who said anything about equality between sexes had no idea what they were talking about.
82  Economy / Services / Re: Offering coaching for online poker for beating 10cents/20 cents NLHE and lower on: December 03, 2013, 11:29:43 PM
I just had a 2 hour session,
this guy is legit Smiley

we did a ghosting type of coaching, on my demand,
basically, I played through my account, with him commenting my moves or suggesting some if I got stuck,
I have played maybe even 100k hands of micro stakes, and still I was amazed how much I was missing...
explanations of post flop moves were just the thing I need

if you are thinking about it, you really should do it,
it is beneficial to have a real time reasoning of a good player,

this will tweak your game for sure, don't be cheap to yourself,
after this first session, I decided to go for at least another 4 like this one.

Thanks a lot for the review xD  I appreciate you being my first client.  Hopefully with every positive review, I'll get more and more clients.  I was very happy to work with you and can't wait for our next sessions!
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the minimum IQ needed to understand Bitcoin on a basic level? on: December 03, 2013, 08:41:38 PM
I think anyone with decent cognitive abilities could understand bitcoin.  It just takes someone to fully explain it to them.  It's not a concept that needs a high level IQ, it's a concept that needs a lot of study (to fully understand how it works).  I'd say 99% of the population have the means to be able to learn it.
84  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: December 03, 2013, 05:49:15 PM
The amount being given away has gotten super low.  Are there any plans to increase it?  Like, it would take ages just to be able to cash out the money from the faucet...  Also, maybe if you put up something that gives bonuses to people for quantity of rolls, you'd get more people trying to roll often.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Download a free bitcoin book here on: December 03, 2013, 05:32:31 PM
Is there a chance you give a small "what this book is about"?  I rarely dive into a whole book unless I'm quite sure I'll enjoy the content (consider it as an investment of time).  So if it will just tell me things I already know, no thanks.  I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate a review on the contents.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The next key for btc price keep growing : trade mbtc on: December 03, 2013, 05:29:55 PM
Changing to mbtc is a horrible idea especially on exchanges, Bitcoin needs to maintain this premium feel with a high dollar price tag in btc to lead the charge not dilute it's image with mbtc it'll end up looking more like dev coin (that's no offence to Devcoin)

If someone new wants in to btc then they'll need to see plainly the value whether thats 1btc=$1000 1btc=10,000 1btc=100,000 lets not start being embarrassed by Bitcoin's price.

The thing is, people think "oh wow... 1,000 dollras for an imaginary count... you're kidding".  Or they'll think "yup, missed the boat, at 1,000 dollars, it'll NEVER GO higher for something that 21 million of exist".  But at say 1mBTC per dollar, or 1,000 uBTC per dollar, people won't feed bad about putting some money into it.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The next key for btc price keep growing : trade mbtc on: December 03, 2013, 05:18:27 PM
microbitcoin should be implemented.  It's way better.  Not only does it have the advantage of not having to be changed in the future as bitcoin continues to rise, but it works with only 2 decimals, a decimal place that most people are used to (cents).
88  Economy / Services / Re: draglet Bitcoin bootcamp launched - learn to trade, win real BTC (100% free) on: December 03, 2013, 03:31:13 PM
Let me see if I understand.  If I get into the top 100, I get 1 BTC for myself?  So you're giving away 100BTC (100,000 USD)?  How exactly does this work?  Am I missing something here?

Maybe you mean that I'll get 1BTC (which belongs to you) and can invest it for you.  But then if I make profit on it, can I somehow get winnings for myself?  Do I earn money from this?
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal really needs to be shut down and replaced immediately on: December 03, 2013, 03:28:47 PM
Problem is that SO MANY people use paypal.  They have gotten huge, so if you wish to boycot them, they could really care less.  Oh well, their lack of customer service will be their downfall.  Maybe they are already looking to cash out and know what's coming, they can't be that blind to it.  Maybe these bans are just their last attempts to prolong their reign for as long as possible.  I mean, if they wanted to implement bitcoins, who would need them?  There's no longer need for a middle man like paypal.
90  Other / Meta / Re: 1 account per ip, on: December 03, 2013, 03:26:52 PM
Hm... had no idea this limitation was implemented.  I know of other sites I frequent that use 1 ip per user.  Those sites usually allow a secondary account with the ip upon giving proof that there is a seperate person in the household who wishes to make an account.  Few scammers would go through the trouble of getting a scanned ID, waiting for confirmation, etc. to get a second account.  Most would just change their ip (a lot easier).
91  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoins = tulips on: December 03, 2013, 03:24:30 PM
Let me see if I have this correct. The same person that is comparing bitcoins to tulip, is one we're trying to save all future transaction fees for him and his family and friends, yet, instead of embracing change, of which he advocates, he opts to throw it under the bus.

~TMIBTCITW

Apart from this, it's also a very ugly article.  He even goes as far as to insult the people that embrace bitcoins and the people that have gotten it to where it is today (talking about not stroking the egos of the nerds that are a part of bitcoin).  Very big dislike to that article, maybe he did it to get some spotlight.
92  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid every 30 days for your signature on: December 03, 2013, 03:22:38 PM
Are other links allowed ? Like my current one?

Maybe they are.  But primedice doesn't allow for you to have other links I believe.  So while you may get the money from Pirat here, you forfeit the money for your primedice signature.  Look again on the primedice thread for signature payments, I'm quite sure they don't allow competing signatures.
93  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin monster server! on: December 03, 2013, 03:16:56 PM
If they have machines that can do this, why would they sell them instead of letting those puppies mine for themselfs?

That can be said for every single mining rig ever sold.  It's 'because they rather not speculate on bicoin value/price, and make 100% sure profit in USD from a machine they can sell for very good profit.  That's like saying "why do companies sell fishing boats, when they can use their own fishing bots to fish, and sell the fish".
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sent an email to Tesco on: December 03, 2013, 03:11:51 PM
Well, with the current ridiculous swings that bitcoins are having, it's no wonder that big businesses won't risk receiving payments in them  yet.  Why would they, if they have no knowledge on the subject.  But once bitcoins settle down to a certain value for a bigger period of time, I'm sure they will gain more acceptance.  I think most businesses that accept bitcoins, do so because they expect them to rise in value, not because of ease of transaction.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help on: December 03, 2013, 03:09:33 PM
What password are you talking about?  You don't need a password to spend your bitcoins...  Are you talking about your address?  Please be more specific or people won't be able to help you out.  And if you mean your private key, NEVER EVER EVER post that thing ANYWHERE!
96  Other / Meta / Re: FISHING ATTEMPT (DO NOT CLICK LINK IN MY POST) Mod Plz? on: December 03, 2013, 03:08:22 PM
You can report PMs by clicking "Report To Admin" in the lower right corner.

Yes, I found it.  Thanks.  I think I'll keep this up though, just as a heads up for anyone else that might receive such messages.  Thank god I have "stay logged in" on all sites.  If for example, this site was proned to logging me out randomly at times, I wouldn't have given the address bar a second look.  Sometimes it's scary how close one can get to being fished.  I've on various occasions clicked on links from services I use and signed in, without checking address bar, only to 5 minutes later realize how easily it could have been a fishing attempt.
97  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoins = tulips on: December 03, 2013, 03:06:30 PM
I merely skimmed through most of the article and think they are way off.  Some of their information is out dated, some wrong.  Also, if bitcoins = tulips, gold could easily be like tulips as well (or a better example, diamonds).  This is ridiculous.  Furthermore, saying that there is no place to buy items/services for bitcoins is absolutely false.  And why must it EXCLUSIVELY be for bitcoins?
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal really needs to be shut down and replaced immediately on: December 03, 2013, 03:03:58 PM
Wow.  This is one of the most DISGUSTING things I've EVER SEEN!  WTF is wrong with them.  You were not dealing with currency exchange.  I mean, come the F on!  I can't believe you're not more upset (at least in your posts).  I'd be looking for someone to beat up with a stick.

Man, thanks for setting me 100% on NEVER EVER dealing with paypal as long as I live under any circumstances.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin fails for some technical reason, what will come up & take its place? on: December 03, 2013, 02:57:38 PM
are there any technical reasons where people think it MAY fail?

Well yea.  It has some vulnerabilities like a 51% attack.  It can also fail if future transaction fees are not enough to cover mining costs (once there are no more coins to be mined).  A google search will give you more information, these are the top two that pop up in my head currently.
100  Other / Meta / FISHING ATTEMPT (DO NOT CLICK LINK IN MY POST) Mod Plz? on: December 03, 2013, 02:54:58 PM
Hello, since I don't know exactly how to report any private messages, I'm making a thread on a fishing attempt by a user of the forums:

Here is a personal message I got from JarlMezentius:

Code:
Hi I saw a thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276623.0
about giving 0.002 btc (2$) just to get your signature
Do you know if it is real or it is just scam ?

Now, it might not seem suspicious, BUT the link doesn't route you to bitcointalk.org, it takes me to:  http://bitcointalk.yzi.me/indexphp%3Ftopic%3D276623.0/index.html <------ DO NOT GO HERE

As can be seen, it's a fishing site.

His username profile is:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=146923

Hope this helps, and if someone can tell me an easier way to report this, thanks.

Regards,
Bitcoinpsftp
