Is it practical to expect tenfold  jump in Bitcoin this year ? It has happened in past but is it practical to expect it this year also ?

Practical? Doubtful Possible? Definitely.
162  Economy / Economics / Re: To Cash Out or HOW to Cash Out? on: July 29, 2018, 11:55:06 AM
I will cash out some but I will definitely hold a good stack as well, I still see bitcoin as a long term thing.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people treat BTC as ponzi scheme? on: July 29, 2018, 11:53:11 AM
I really wonder to some people who think bitcoin is a ponzi scheme. It has made so many people rich and doing better till now.
But I don't understand the reason behind this type of thought?

That is so sad to hear that some people think that BTC is a ponzi scheme, for me BTC is not a ponzi scheme because I earn big from BTC and it has changed my life. Maybe some other people are not believing in BTC cause they cannot see theirselves earning in cryptocurrency and they lack of knowledge on how they can earn in BTC. If they open their minds to the BTC and become industrious in finding ways on how they will earn in BTC they will start to love BTC. Like me at first I do not believe in BTC because I cannot see myself on how I will earn from it. But when I give BTC a try I discover that when I do and become industrious in finding ways on how I will earn. It will give me a good profit.

Doesn't matter, those people are uneducated and/or salty, and do not understand what ponzi schemes are.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung: Smartphones are the Most Secure Device When Using Cryptocurrency on: July 27, 2018, 02:29:56 PM
Snyder explained:

“This is why smartphones have an edge over laptops and desktops for cryptocurrency wallets: without the benefits of the hardware-based TEE, the keys are more vulnerable. There is a significant caveat: a naïve wallet developer might choose to simply store the keys on the normal internal storage of the phone, in which case there’s little additional protection from using the smartphone platform. Or the wallet itself might be malware, in which case all bets are off. But with the right wallet leveraging the benefits of smartphone TEE, there’s no place safer to store your money.”

So how does samsung have the advantage, the right wallet can be installed on any smartphone?  Roll Eyes
165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quick trading - no KYC etc - recommendations? on: July 27, 2018, 12:55:05 PM
Undergoing KYC process with an exchanger does not means you will be force to pay tax. Through KYC process that was done some scammers and hackers have been apprehended. But we still have some exchangers that do not make the KYC process compulsory, e.g hitbtc, mercatox etc.

Who knows what it will mean in due time, maybe exchanges will be forced to hand over certain info in the future.
You should try your luck at decentralized exchanges like forkdelta etc, big chance there is not enough volume or your coin isn't available for trade though.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for Airdrops: A bad precedence on: July 26, 2018, 12:21:05 PM
I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.

It's not just a bad precedence, it's a ridiculous one. I can't believe folks are actually sending their id's to randoms on bitcointalk.
167  Economy / Economics / Re: When bitcoin prices rise up the market also will on: July 26, 2018, 12:16:16 PM
I have noticed it when actually the bitcoin price is rising up the cryptomarket also will. Is that because of bitcoin is directly proportional to the other cryptocurrency? so that when bitcoin dumped the other crypto also will dump? Whats your opinion about it?

It would be different if all coins were pegged to let's say the dollar but everything is pegged to btc, all the alts can do is look if btc went up or down and adjust the price accordingly.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big warning to crypto community on astroturfing hype on: July 26, 2018, 12:13:34 PM
The following has come to my attention:

-Someone in a youtube comment mentioned that bitcointalk is full of third worlders who post gibberish replies in threads in order to gain post counts but I'm afraid that it's worse than that. I believe it is fully automated forum bots that is operated by either governments or wealthy private citizens or possibly criminal enterprises. In my own thread, Burianchain, several mysterious nonsensical replies followed after my post and I am now sure that it is bots.

-The very same bot networks are used to leverage pump and dumps on exchanges and create social media fomo. My experience on an exchange where the Museum Token is trading is that they suffer constant fraudulent account registrations and voting fraud.

-I recently registered on one of the biggest freelance sites as a freelancer to do some charitable work for the crypto community and while scrolling through job listings it is full of offers like "i need 300 professional linkedin accounts that can bypass telephone registration".

So the takeaway here is be very mindful that there is large scale, possibly government scale, astroturfing going on in this forum and on prolific social media sites such as linkedin.

Of course this is not a new phenomena with bought followers and so on, but it is quite sophisticated and deeply deceptive.

I am aware that counter measures are in production to verify online activity.

Be mindful.

The influx of newbie accounts with gibberish nonsensical posts are indeed 3rd worlders who think they can make money with an army of low ranked accounts.
169  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ETF approval, price increase and mass adoption on: July 25, 2018, 11:46:43 AM
BTC is getting back on the track vs ETH, it was in one moment almost 10:1, now it is above 15:1 again, where are the reasons for that?

Maybe because ico's are getting less popular and ethereum still has it's problems. Bitcoin is worth a lot more in my mind, prices are proof of that.
170  Economy / Economics / Re: So many threads being made but most of them are rubbish. on: July 25, 2018, 11:42:43 AM
I don't even understand why they are still farming accounts and creating rubbish topics along with it. They are never going to rank up.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY CRYPTOCURRENCY PROGRESS MOVE SLOW IN AFRICA? AND WHAT TO DO TO HELP AFRICANS on: July 25, 2018, 11:38:46 AM
Hello, as we both knwo that cryptocurrency ius future payment solution in the world thoughthere is some bariers from differenct states and goverments but the reality still there.
Example we can see proress in some europeans countries having ATM machins where users can withdraw bitcoin and other altcoins there by using their ATM crds, also they can pay by using cryptocyurrency in different placess like supermarkets but also they can make online purchase with cryptocurrencies.

SO..
WHY WE DONT SEE THESE THINGS IN AFRICA TOO??

WHATS  TO DO TO HELP AFRICAN COUNTRIES TO ADOPT THESE CHANGES?

Bitcoin doesn't make corruption go away, which is the big problem for Africa. Money doesn't seem to help them, neither does bitcoin.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was the G20 finance meeting in Buenos Aires last july 21 & 22 trigger BTC pump? on: July 25, 2018, 11:36:52 AM
https://btcmanager.com/g20-crypto-regulation-decision-boosts-bitcoin-to-two-month-high/
Hi guys what is your views regarding this news seems this is one of the main reason why bitcoin price suddenly goes up and we expect more news next month as ETF  inclusion of btc may tackle in u.s. congress. if this iscanother positve result then bitcoin price msy unstoppable.
I guess this was the main contributor why bitcoin starts to run up as we observe bitcoin earning huge volume two days prior the G20 summit and it continue to grow until now hopefully 8.5k$ would be hit in just a day since it is traded now at 8.2k$.

I don't think so, just a coincidence.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The volume of Chinese yuan transactions for crypto is down by 90% on: July 24, 2018, 12:06:53 PM
Only such new people can believe this news. Those who join the cryptocurrency very early will not believe it. The vast volume of China’s population cannot be reduced. Only when the market is bearish will the world decline.

Obviously the government can affect the volume by sharpening regulations and laws.
174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade Vs HODL on: July 24, 2018, 11:30:27 AM
In my opinion, day trading is too risky and long-term investment is enough reliable.
Depensd on your manage bro, if you have a good TA you can get a nice profit from Short

TA & crypto don't really mix in my opinion.
175  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bribery collapse a nation? on: July 24, 2018, 11:29:27 AM
You would be surprised about all the shitty things they (can) do in order to prevent a collapse.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fork Bitcoin with a new Core that has no miner's fees. on: July 23, 2018, 12:49:47 PM
Forking a chain is not a good things to do because it leads to panic to new holder that do not know what they are doing or they can actually do.

So in the case you wnat to start your own coin, feel free, it's not so difficult right now, there are a plenty of great developers out there, but do it with your own community, and not try to gain extra visibility forking another because it just let others dump

Bitcoin gets forked all the time and people don't even know about it, it's not a big deal at all imo.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: Trading Crypto AND Stocks? on: July 23, 2018, 12:47:28 PM
So half the people who took the poll at this moment don't even trade bitcoin or other crypto? OK  Roll Eyes
178  Economy / Economics / Re: Does money make you rich? on: July 23, 2018, 12:36:05 PM
To me the answer is No. Money alone doesn't make an individual rich. A lot of people go to work everyday, working for money and making more money, but fail to become richer. Ironically, many only grow deeper in debt.we have all heard stories of lottery winners who are instantly poor again. Also there are cases of real estate going into foreclosure instead of making homeowners richer. We all know of persons who have lost money investing in the stock market. Maybe you are one of those individuals who have lost money investing on cryptocurrency,Bitcoin to be precise. Even investing in gold(real money) can cost the investor money

For all intents and purposes, it is not business, estates, stocks, bitcoin (crypto currency) or money that makes a person rich. It is information, wisdom, knowledge that makes one wealthy.

If you have enough money you're rich, whether you consider it to be rich is entirely up to you, but to me it's a fact.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The crypto capital in Europe? on: July 21, 2018, 01:13:18 PM
France is quickly exploring the blockchain and trying to become the leader of the technology in Europe, like in artificial intelligence also, as I read there is a member of the French government that he strongly support the cryptocurrency, and that he wanted that France be the leading country for block chain and cryptocurrency innovation in Europe.
You think that Paris will become the European blockchain capital? Also, it is possible that they can have a cooperation between the crypto companies and the banks in this country?

They have nothing to say about how they are going to deal with crypto in the future, they are EU lapdogs.
180  Economy / Economics / Re: With Hackers everywhere, How safe is Cryptocurrency? on: July 20, 2018, 12:50:40 PM
Its no longer news that an ICO in Japan has lost over $400 million to hackers. They promised to pay back investors who invested in their ICO. Thsi is a huge loss. After I read that news, I began to wonder. How safe is Bitcoin and Other altcoins? What measures should we take to avoid being hacked ?

Definetly thats the biggest question faced by a lots of crypto user especially today...  On how to escape this hackers and scammers...  Today they are spreading that's why even the bounty campaign and some ICO's cannot truly trust anymore...  We cant scape from them even we are so much careful...  Especially if you are only a begginer here that's why we need to double and triple our awareness....

In general, just use your brain and you will be fine.
