Long term safest (for as far as you can call crypto investments "safe") investment imho is bitcoin.
You wanna go for something short term and trade / gamble then try your luck with altcoins.
722  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin so the main choice on: September 06, 2017, 02:53:38 AM
why are many people willing to drop their jobs and prefer to focus more on the world of crypto like bitcoin?
Bitcoin must be your main choice because in bitcoin you cn gain so much money and in vitcoin you can be able to be productive and successful .In bitcoin you will be needing less of your time and less of your effort but gaining so much money.

People are able to potentially earn a lot with btc, which of course is attractive in itself.
But I think an important part of it is the freedom.. people can get into btc when they want, and from where they want.

Many people want this kind of freedom paired with being self sufficient.
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO OPEN] CRYPTOFARM. Cryptofarm is an investment project for the con on: September 05, 2017, 10:47:02 PM
Very minimal ann thread,  it's already hard enough to get a project like this off the ground, it's not easy collecting the required funds.
Why wouldn't you make a better OP? You even have a spelling error/typo in the thread title.
Just looks like a rush job.
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcore - BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - CORE 0.14.1 -431110+ BTX Claimed on: September 05, 2017, 06:06:56 PM
Received, with no problems.

They might never let a coin get listed with such a big dev-owned premine that Bitcore currently has. That's why we have to get rid of it in the November by dropping it to holders so the BTX can progress forward. If we keep on the air dropping at 3% we cannot get listed to bigger exchanges in 2-4 years!

Regarding the November's drop - I suggest to do four consecutive 10% -> 40% -> 30% -> 20% (total 100%) weekly drops instead of one 100% drop for the whole November to limit the dumping. These four massive drops should also scale regarding to how much/many BTX one is holding. If you dump after the first or second massive drop you will not get as much in the third and fourth massive drop. The biggest 40% drop is second because it will also smoothen dumping. (Drop percentage is referring to the whole pot how many BTX is still unclaimed.)

Please consider doing something like this!

I like this approach!

+1
I think this looks like a decent approach.

725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: September 05, 2017, 03:19:14 PM
It's not that they disagree with the technology behind it, they are merely just not interested in it.
Why would a casual, non-tech savy person be interested in bitcoin? (besides someone wanting to invest and make some money)
726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: September 05, 2017, 03:07:28 PM
Everyone could use bitcoin, but not in the way it currently works.
So many private keys got lost or exposed, wallets deleted, overwritten by casuals.

Good thing about bitcoin is that you don't need to give your identity to them as long as you have the skills that may help them.

Is that what "ordinary" people want though?  And fiat has this property as well, or do you hand over your identity when you pay with cash?  Wink
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie to Altcoins on: September 04, 2017, 08:50:44 PM
A good coin has something unique, has a clear goal / roadmap, and doesn't ask for a shitload of money through an ICO before being able to show anything.

On what basis have blocked my account? I developed more than a month the program for exchange of altcoins through your api. I have spent many forces and time for development, and you have blocked my account and have even not told me the reason. Api doesn't work too. Please explain me the reason of blocking of my account and my money.

Support dont talk with me more than week!!!

I have always liked cryptopia, but usually when reading stuff like this you know it's going downhill.
Let's hope this won't be a regular occurrence.

I hope you will increase amount of airdrop like 7% 🔥🔥🔥
And whats the matter of this? For me that makes no sense at all. Just greedy peoples. I'm here since almost the beginning and 3% looks good to me. Maybe enlarge the duration but not increasing.
We not want to get more. Increasing airways will attract more people. I'm with BTX at first of his existence too. And I'm satisfied with 3%. But remember the excitement when the airdrop was bigger.
Perfect marketing would be an increase in interest depending on the amount of the deposit.
For example:
the top 1-100 wallets - 6%,
the top 101-500 wallets - 5%,
the top 501-1000 wallets - 4%,
1001 - 3%.
First, it's interesting to see if you are in the right group, and secondly, it will force people to fight, buy more, sell less.
Metamorphin, please consider this option.

Everyone is equal, everything is fair.
Let's keep this a solid investment, play games with the shitcoins please.
730  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia hacked !? on: September 03, 2017, 02:34:17 PM
Well has it been confirmed  this originated from a phishing attack?
Any news on the issue yet, has cryptopia responded?
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop to all holders of specific erc20 on: September 01, 2017, 11:30:34 PM
You can just extract all the addresses from holders of said token and drop to those addresses you've collected?
I don't see where the difficulty lies? You wouldn't even need a smart contract unless you want the process to be automated once you're up and running.
732  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Send 50€ from walllet to YOBIT didndt get anything on: September 01, 2017, 03:42:29 PM
Hmm yobit..I personally don't even trade with them, always something, always wallet maintenance etc.

Looking at your deposit, seems to have gone through fine, my guess is yobit has to restart exchange wallet.
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Lost password/seed, need help getting bitcoin back. on: September 01, 2017, 12:20:53 PM
Cracking a pass is resource intensive, and might not even be possible depending on what kind of password you used. What chars/how many chars etc..

There are services that do this on regular basis. They might be your best option. You could check this one out https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=239665.0

I doubt services like this would be an option for the OP, it's 75 usd worth of bitcoin, the trouble outweighs the reward.

Best you can do, try to remember OP.

Not feeling an everlasting airdrop tbh, kinda looking forward to november to move on and go through new developments.

Would be nice to drop to exchange addresses in the near future, Bittrex, some asian exchanges etc
You can easily reach 50k users if you can set this up with just a few exchanges. We could start if off with cryptopia, i think they have around 25k+ users as well.

What's the word on binance by the way?

735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC fees exploding and BTC will crash down on: August 31, 2017, 12:36:45 AM
Maybe Bitcoin Cash would be cheaper to use than bitcoin? If more businesses start using bitcoin cash because it's cheaper to use then maybe bitcoin would be replaced?

They are all claiming it's cheaper but in reality it;s just the price difference between bitcoin and bitcoin cash keeping it "cheaper". Makes no sense to use this argument really.
Unless you're talking about bch introducing some different kind of fee.
736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC fees exploding and BTC will crash down on: August 29, 2017, 03:39:49 AM
It has always been discussed, and it is actually a more effective argument nowadays.
And it will be even more if btc prices go up in the future, it will be one of the deciders..payment solution or store of wealth.

May miss out on this weeks airdrop, cryptopia placed me as manual withdrawal lol.

What does that mean? Why is that?

I'm in the same situation, I've created a support ticket but haven't got a respond yet.

wtf? do you have lots of incoming or outgoing transactions?
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most promising upcoming ICO on: August 27, 2017, 12:54:24 AM
Mostly none of em, it's mostly PND shit.
A coin needs "some" funding and a normal dev team, why would they need millions of ico money?

ICO is not meant to build community, it's an ordinary cash grab.
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀[ANN][PoSToken]World's First Proof-of-Stake Smart Contract Token[FREE AIRDROP] on: August 26, 2017, 01:57:26 PM
An airdrop generally does not require sig.
Some options

- Make signature a requirement for newbies or junior

- People who do use sig get +5% bonus

- Or run a separate sig campaign.

We are working on the token distribution and clarifying the situation with Zack. Once I have info, I will share it immediately!
Regards,
Vlad

What does this mean from this sentence that Zack who is leaving the project has control over the tokens ? I really don't want to assume because there can be many for this. I will be waiting for more clear and final statement how and when the tokens are going to be distributed because still nothing clear and we are reaching to the end of August.
This sentence is answer to two different questions and you can easily understand it if you will read it in context.
Moreover, difficult concept of END of August that was given to us by team to token distribution is guess what,  is till the END of August and as team said numerous times before, token will be distributed till than. Stop asking same question over and over again. Come back at 1at of September and check your wallet, if there are tokens - great, if you can't find them - THEN ask the team.

I'm sorry but no, everyone invests for different reasons everyone has  a different mindset.
People should be able to ask what they want especially when a project is being handled like this..it's never of any use when other supporters try to stop this or try to "defend" a dev team in situations like this.

Like multiple people said it's  kinda ridiculous there is no token, and if someone else has control over them make another useless token lol, how hard is it :/
