That site has been scamming people got years. You could try legal action, i think they're based in Hongkong.

Two hundred and first week paid. Thanks again for your flawless timing! I can only blame the kids today for being late, but they're in bed now do life is quiet again.

The point of DCA is that it doesn't really matter if you do it weekly or monthly. I'd say make it depend on transaction fees: if you buy small amounts, too can save money by buying slightly larger amounts less often.

Simple math: you use 1 digit, 0-9, and have 6 participants. That means the first 4 participants have 2 out of 10 chance, the last 2 have 1 out of 10 change of winning. Easy fix: use 6 digits. Or even more. That makes the difference between positions in the list very small.

What if there's more than 1 winner? What if the hash ends on 007 and there are 8 participants? I'm wondering if all candidates have the same odds: what if the number of participants is large: my gut feeling tells me the first one on the list is more likely to be picked than the last one (LoyceV do the math).

calling other members an idiot, a moron along with other insults, I've seen that many times when someone is out of arguments for their lies.

Sign a message. You can use Electrum to sign from your Ledger. Or send some dust from that address to a vanity (burn) address. It's easy to prove ownership, if you're the owner that is.

Petrol is over $2.10 a litre and my water and electricity bills have also increased by about 15%. You have no idea how lucky you are Here electricity prices went up about 2000%, although it dropped like three quarters again. It's still very high. Here in Venezuela gasoline is about 0,5$/liter and the electricity bill is less than 10$ a month, it just reached 10$ because the government started to charge other services together in that bill. That is one of the reasons people used to mine Bitcoin here, before the government got aggressive against the miners. One can buy a house here for 20k-30k$, one time payment, no mortgage, no credit, no question asked. Solid concrete, no drywall. This a country that runs on debit. We don't have credit anymore, because the banks lost money by providing credit. I've been wondering for a while how it would be to have an economy without debt. Here, everyone including governments has debts. Without debt, I can imagine many prices would be less inflated, simply because people can pay less. Of course, Venezuela has its own problems and isn't the best example to compare to, but still, I wonder how value would be without debt. Not owing anyone anything sounds like a dream.

I'm not from Switzerland, I am Switzerland (allegedly) Oh Really? Maybe because you have an email with this country's name? The allegation is pretty much OK. I support them because either you were there or you are still there. Otherwise, no one would create an email with a random country name. Wait, I don't remember where I see this. But, Your profile location is with a question mark. Let's not talk about private things; I believe you don't like it either. Actually, Lauda gave me the name Switzerland years ago, and it grew on me. Just like Marcel, which I got from the Gangs topic.

I am wondering why people from Switzerland still wear a commercial signature when they have the highest average income (Just kidding). I'm not from Switzerland, I am Switzerland (allegedly) My mobile signature is because icopress asked me.

We have heard of deposit bank account (fixed account) where customer's deposit in their fiat currency only to be able to withdraw or have access to it at the agreed terminated timeframe with the bank. One of the propelling motive behind this is to help the individual keep save a certain sum he/she wish to use for some project in the future without being able to distort or use the asset for some other issues that may arise that it wasn't meant for. Deposit savings are quite common here, but you're wrong about the reason: people take it to get a higher interest, and the bank likes it because they know how long they'll have the money. I don't know if such is also applied to cryptocurrency too, but just in case there's non yet, then I'll love to see developers develop a crypto-wallet that specifically function as a wallet for fixed deposits of assets. Or perhaps it could be added as a feature to the already existing crypto wallets be it custodial or non-custodial wallets. This shouldn't be part of a wallet. And I wouldn't use locktime just because you have weak hands. In that case I'd rather store the private key in a location that can't easily be accessed.

Oeleo (i can't really type his name on mobile) gave a nice summary: DT is a mess! I try to do my share in educating people, and once in a while point out the worst use of inclusions, but it doesn't change the bigger picture because the system itself is flawed. If too many people use it in the wrong way, the few users who use it correctly don't matter anymore. Maybe that's just how democracy works....

You should expect the unexpected by including it in your budget. If you don't use it in the current month, you'll save it for next month to allow for bigger unexpected expenses.

(they are 1.5 billion according to the World Bank) There are only 43 million funded Bitcoin addresses. On-chain Bitcoin can't help all of them. I don't understand what you mean, why the current number of funded addresses is a barrier? It's impossible for 1.5 billion people to use on-chain Bitcoin. Currently, Bitcoin is having less than 1.5 billion transactions in a decade, and there's no on-chain block capacity for much more.

Are people like JP Morgan intentionally bad-mouthing Bitcoin? Of course. Everyone has an agenda, and usually one that's best for themselves. If Satoshi adds more bitcoin to it's supply which is impossible Satoshi has no power over Bitcoin. Nobody has. I mean: we all do Concensus is the ultimate democracy.

Someone (@TryNinja? @bitmover?) should create a website for this [...] Like I did manually here. Knowing that you have expertise, inside my mind I was thinking about you for doing this, but I did not write it in my previous post I as did not know if you are interested or not. However, any other member with good reputation is good as any other one of this kind I (still) don't know databases, so i can't do it. The reputation of the creator shouldn't matter, as long as it can be verified. The website is meant for convenience.
