741  Economy / Lending / Re: [Need Help] Need little bit of ETH to pay Gas Fee on: April 17, 2022, 07:58:57 PM
Fixed Float gets you 15 dollar worth of eth for 17 dollar LTC. Will that work?
742  Economy / Services / Re: LoyceV's Avatar for Rent [first 🦊🦊🦊3 YEARS🦊🦊🦊 (159 weeks) rented out] on: April 13, 2022, 06:20:02 PM
Thanks again for your no doubt flawless timing. I might be a tad off from mobile.
743  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitPay integrates the lightning network ⚡ on: April 07, 2022, 04:35:53 PM
I meant it'd be more impressive if more payment processors that already accept bitcoin adopt the lightning network too...
Kraken accepts it since a few days too. They're an exchange instead of a payment provider though.

I don't use BitPay anymore since they require KYC. If they can change that back, at least for small transactions, they might actually survive as a company.
744  Economy / Economics / Re: Is TERRA/Luna kickstarting a new Bitcoin Standard? on: April 06, 2022, 09:27:50 PM
Where does the 10 billion dollar come from? Is it paid by people who accept their made up UST token as payment?
745  Other / Archival / Re: The forum engine selectively slows down forum access on: April 03, 2022, 03:23:47 PM
The more negative feedback you collect, the slower the forum gets for you.
OMG that maniac really got to done it

What you've done! I can not be on the forum for more than 1 minute
Sorry, I turned it off now. You should be okay again, but try to be a bit more polite. Even though you have the freedom to use bad language, it says a lot about you how you use that freedom.
746  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Luna kickstarting a new Bitcoin Standard? on: April 02, 2022, 10:38:27 PM
I've heard about it before, and I still don't get it: what's the point of using Bitcoin for a stable coin?
In my no doubt limited understanding it works like this: if Bitcoin goes up, the company makes a profit. If Bitcoin goes down, they're short on money. Who would invest in this if they'll only take the risk but not the profit?
747  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Combining Blue Wallet and a watch-only Electrum wallet on: April 01, 2022, 02:31:38 PM
Yes because for me air gapping an iPhone or Android is easier than a PC or MacBook, maybe you have tips for airgapping a device in an easily manner ?
Get a laptop, download Tails OS, burn it on a DVD, remove the hard drive and network card if you want, then boot the laptop from the DVD. You could use an USB stick instead, but those aren't read only.
Tails is designed to be private. Even better if you don't give it internet access.
748  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] [banned mixer] Signature Campaign | Up to 0.005 BTC/W on: March 31, 2022, 09:29:37 AM
That's how it should be - in every campaign.  Smiley
Only high paying campaigns can afford being that picky.
749  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance unverified account on: March 30, 2022, 04:25:14 PM
I haven't logged in ever again since they told me to give up my privacy.
I wouldn't deposit to them, even if they say I have a 4k withdrawal limit. They're known to freeze withdrawals for BS reasons, and I don't want them to keep my money hostage until I hand over documents.
750  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Lending Etiquette on: March 30, 2022, 02:09:30 PM
I'd say it's unethical not to mention you have open loans when requesting a new loan. But lenders have a responsibility too by checking and leaving neutral feedback for each open loan.

My first thought in such cases is always that it could be an exit scam.
751  Other / Archival / Re: The forum engine selectively slows down forum access on: March 29, 2022, 06:05:20 PM
The more negative feedback you collect, the slower the forum gets for you.

I'm kidding, you got me, it's all my fault:
How you are already tired of everyone with your asshole scripts like ninjastic, bpip or loycev. It's probably because of them everything is so slow?

it seems to me that you are deliberately slowing me down because I am not an ideal representative of the forum
I like the idea. Make it a feature request.
752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Self proclaimed Satoshi CSW losing his case... on: March 28, 2022, 02:34:52 PM
Satoshi's forum account is locked. To reclaim it, he'll have to convince theymos that he's the real deal. If he can do that, it's good though for me.
So one post, no matter what it says, is enough for me to merit the maximum amount instantly.
753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Self proclaimed Satoshi CSW losing his case... on: March 28, 2022, 01:58:51 PM
I'm more surprised this shit is still going on. When do courts stop wasting their time and taxpayers' money on something that is clearly made up?
If only the judge would understand Bitcoin, they would understand the meaning of messages signed from addresses that the troll claimed to own (stating that he's a fraud).
754  Economy / Economics / Re: One Alternative To High Gas Prices, The Electric Scooter on: March 26, 2022, 12:36:23 PM
You're from the US, right? That means you have no idea what high gas prices are....

Here, I see those scooters on the roads more often nowadays, but they're not road legal. So they can get a fine, aren't insured, but much worse: they're not very safe. I've driven 2 wheel vehicles at much higher speeds, but those small wheels alone look terrible when there's a hole in the road. I wouldn't dare drive this amongst heavy car traffic.
755  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: March 25, 2022, 10:00:21 PM

I'm not really allowed to post here in English, but I'd love to clear any confusion. If someone can translate this for me, I'll delete my post.
756  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: recycle miners exhaust with mini wind turbine on: March 25, 2022, 09:51:29 PM
If you want to use the kinetic energy from the fans: you're wasting energy. It doesn't come for free, you have to put in more power than you take out. It's more efficient to reduce the power to the cooling fans.
If you want to use the thermal energy from the miners: low temperature heat isn't very useful other than for space heating.
757  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation hitting the world every year on: March 23, 2022, 11:04:28 AM
Inflation is not a law of nature, it's man-made. Money printer goes Brrrrr means money loses it's value.
And that's why I love and central banks fear Bitcoin: they can't create more of it for their own agenda.

759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 19 Million BTC in two weeks' time on: March 21, 2022, 10:30:02 PM
Bitcoin fixed supply makes it certainly very deflationary with ramping purchasing power.
That's something not many people seem to understand. All my life I've been told about inflation, and barely anyone seems to realize it's not in the interest of the common man.
I don't need rising prices just so I can think my salary went up, and I love seeing prices measured in Bitcoin drop over the years.
