Shameless clone from Zcoin. They even plan to clone MTP from Zcoin when it launches xD
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: September 29, 2017, 09:57:37 AM
I started to mine on suprnova like 5 hours ago. So far all seems good. Just block finding is super slow. We need more hashrate on Suprnova. DOnt mine on that shity mininghubpool that steals ur hashrate or reject part of it if you use ccminer.

unfortunately the new "core_upgrade" wallet i've migrated to seems buggy as hell.. once it found a block it forked off the main chain and got stuck on that (found) block.

I'll go back to the stoneage-codebase wallet now, wait a lifetime for the resync (approx 3 days), then process the payouts and FINALLY close the pool for this coin, i'm done with it.

Hi ocminer,

We have tried multiple times to reach u in slack but no respond. We apologize for the orphan problem and we almost immediately fixed the problem after seeing it (check commit https://github.com/zcoinofficial/zcoin/commit/3f96e023265214fabbe0438f06c77611aa53cb14)

We understand ur frustation as well but instead of being frustrating on it could u help us avoiding future problems by providing us the debug.log for the orphan block ?

Appreciate if u do that.

Regards,

Aizen

After i typed "ls" i copy paste this "cd zcoin-qt.app/Contents/MacOS/
./zcoin-qt -reindex" and it opened the zcoin app now it says reindexing blocks on disk....

I dont have any zcoin.conf file in library application support zcoin folder., or in any of the subfolders. So i can't add this anywhere.

connect=london.zcoin.io
connect=nyc.zcoin.io
connect=sf1.zcoin.io
connect=xzc.suprnova.cc

Yes u did it right.

Please create the zcoin.conf if you don't have it, and add these above lines.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: March 02, 2017, 01:04:22 PM
That was before, now i have the 8.7.7 and still having the same problem. I can't run that command in the terminal, no such file or directory it says.

If you would like for me to Teamviewer you I can assist you with this but you need to change directory to your Applications folder before you run that command.

In Terminal try /Applications/zcoin-qt -reindex

PM me if you want to arrange a Teamviewer or e-mail reuben@zcoin.io if you're still having problems.

"/Applications/zcoin-qt -reindex" Same , no such file or directory. I prefer if you help me from here or pm, it's easier for me, TeamViewer is too delicate.

First of all I'm assuming you pulled zcoin-qt into your applications folder yes?

Open terminal

type cd /Applications
then type ls
it should show zcoin-qt in there
Then you can type zcoin-qt -reindex

If it's not there you probably didn't install zcoin-qt the right way (which is to just open the dmg and then drag the app into the Applications folder which is already prompted when you open the dmg).

Yes, i drag Zcoin app from the DMG to the applications folders, when i type "ls" i can see zcoin there is called zcoin-qt.app but then after that when i type "zcoin-qt -reindex" it says command not found.

You should open Terminal, go to the directory where u place zcoin-qt. Then

Quote
cd zcoin-qt.app/Contents/MacOS/
./zcoin-qt -reindex

To speed up the sync process, you could add only official nodes by going to zcoin.conf in ~/Library/Application\ Support/zcoin and add
Quote
connect=london.zcoin.io
connect=nyc.zcoin.io
connect=sf1.zcoin.io
connect=xzc.suprnova.cc

Hope it's understandable enough.

Such a severe bug could easily destroy the coin, if it not already did so.

if the dev know a little about logic, they will realize that the hacker has stolen from them not from the community so in my opinion the should destroy 370 000 XZC send them to a vanity wallet a wallet without private key. that will bring a little confiance in the dev.

Please enlighten the devs how to destroy it when the coins are already sold on the market? No one has absolute control of that hacked coins now, how to gather them in one place and burn ??

@dev : any news of the compiled runing file for Ubuntu of the new wallet ?

Apologize for our delay and thank for your support. Here is it

Chinese pumpers are doing well, they pump XZC very high, I consider they will continue pumping XZC on btc38 because XZC is the newest coin listed there so far.

When do coins get listed there? Is it random or is there a regular schedule to remove coins and add new ones?

A week ago, XZC performs well in btc38, and keep organic growing in recent days, cheers. We are rich, guys, XZC is the competitor of XMR and ZEC, we will be rich.
Why chinese wake up about XZC theses lasts days ?
Only the pair XZC/YUAN, not XZC/BTC (BTC transactions are locking for one mnth in chineses exchanges).

XZC potential is very hight : probably more than 0.05 btc.

With broken miners, semi functioning wallet, wrong diff, and instamining botnets this coin has little to no future future.

Any proof for any of your claims ?? These FUD attempts just look more silly everyday.

Thanks for your cpuminer, joblo.

You're welcome. I always encourage users to verify my performance claims.

I confirmed that your CPUminer increased in some cases to a whoppy 20%. Amazing. Thanks again.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: February 12, 2017, 06:26:22 PM
Now why would the devs have a private optimized miner for the coin when we know they get a portion of everycoin mined plus a portion of whatever is sold on exchanges. If you want an optimized miner real badly talk to wolf0 he's selling an AMD optimized sgminer kernel for 0.25 btc a piece

I know someone who has been unusually quiet in these forums lately who could have made a play with
private Cuda miners.  But I agree AWS users were the big winners.

I'm just speculating because I don't know how much lyra2 is left in Cuda after Nanashi doubled the
performance. I think the nature of the algo is the biggest impediment to GPU performance.

I've really enjoyed some of the new CPU algo development recently with multiple devs contributing to
optimize in the open. It seems to have motivated some others to give it a try. It's nice to see continued
interest in CPU mining.

My contribution is coming soon, maybe a little late but still significant.

Thanks for yours.

AFAIK Nanashi code was used in the current miner of djm34 too. Let's say it's quite optimized and I don't think another further crazy optimization (50-100%) could be done soon. But I might be wrong. Thanks for your cpuminer, joblo.

Our wallet stuck at block 18364 (4bd8ad46cdc1049d8a67b04f8c1f029a5fd252de3012411161c9361ef2fa685b)

"version":80702,"protocolversion":90018,"walletversion":60000

Getting weird lines in debug.log:

2017-01-31 00:54:13 keypool return 374
2017-01-31 00:54:16 PROCESS REVERSE
2017-01-31 00:54:16 ERROR: CTransaction::CheckTransaction() : COIN SPEND TX IN ZQ_WILLIAMSON DID NOT VERIFY!
2017-01-31 00:54:16 ERROR: CTxMemPool::accept() : CheckTransaction failed

Wallet has 10 connections to ver 80702 nodes.

Dev please, contact with instructions how to make it sync.

Do you have any spending/minting transaction in your wallet ? Looks like your client is getting rejected from network because of that transaction (bad transaction from my initial guess). If not could you add these connect nodes to ur conf file and restart the wallet ?
Quote
connect=london.zcoin.finance
connect=nyc.zcoin.finance
connect=sf1.zcoin.finance

You could post more from debug.log so we could have a better guess.

Thanks.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: January 14, 2017, 04:30:49 PM

Yes I've seen that as I've checked for fake shares when I noticed your 'experiments'.

Well..  Yesterday someone on slack told me that a gpu miner would be technically impossible  Grin

Show it or it doesn't happen. Simple.

not sure how much interest this will get but here goes.

have been playing with the original cpuminer since zcoin's release; and seem to have found a slight edge last night.
performance gains are in the realm of about 25-50%, earning about 0.5 XZC from one quad cpu VPS overnight (9-10hr).
please note that the reported hash below is wildly incorrect, it should be around 20H/s or slightly higher from a standard 10H/s.

as some of you know, i'd been toying with a GPU miner since launch as well; with some partial luck; probably more to ocminer's annoyance with the invalid shares he keeps seeing on his pool from me  Grin
going to give it another go night and will report how i go.

baz

(the black spaces are just some debug information ive removed)

Okay 25-50% increase on performance is possible since I had a small tweak in the memory controller and got a 20-30% boost as well.
wolf0 has a similar tweak and he already showed the proof so I believe that your statement about the performance increase is possible. You might overestimate it a little bit since the algo is a bit crazy so the miner gave the wrong hashrate sometimes too.
Enjoy it for a while (well I honestly think all the big miners already have it as well), since we will switch the algo soon.

I got my custom wallet startup time to 20secs

if anyone wants to try
NON-OFFICIAL win wallet 32bit:

You seems to be desperate to distribute your binary. God knows what is inside.

One more and I'm forced to give you a negative trust rating for spreading `dubious` execute file without any proof.

+1
 Already gave you a negative!

THANKS!

Alternative account of castellum that is shilling the Virus infected wallets to the unexpected, Stay Away !

A quick look from other' feedback about him and we could understand the reason.

What a funny troll Grin

I though Poramin had already upgraded wallet so that it doesn't lag and so that it syncs faster, it seems like this coin needs a Dev team behind it, because poramin on his own it makes it a little difficult for him.

I have downloaded the poramin version but it's so lag and now it's over 24 hour and I see that it was stucked at block 13189 (12 days to go).
How can I do it? how long must I wait for synchronizing?

First loading might take long due to the node. You could add xzc.suprnova.cc node in the mean time for faster loading. We will try to upgrade our seed node but it's not a priority now.

Played sometime with the wallet cause i think im going to fork this into a new coin.
Fork will have a stronger rsa key than 2048bit.

Feel free to test new features:
changes for zerozoin minting
block explorer
punch of code changes:

http://www.filedropper.com/zcoin-qt

https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/cf95733da5612957f861b74fb5c72fb3bb9b8691252874b98937fcbbbeeb877e/analysis/1483636747/

IF YOU WANT TO TEST THE WALLET, BACKUP ALL DATA!!!
Just in case because of extreme slow chain. <-- thank you lyra
(if a chain corruption happens due the possible reject of chain downloaded via official wallet.)
(all chain rules will match to zcoin, but database rules may cause reject of chain already downloaded)

If you indeed have enough knowledge and skills to fork this and add considerable improvements, you would better join the ZCoin Dev team. They have bounties and funding specifically to pay new team members.

I doubt anyone will join yet another fork of ZCoin now. Too much forks, instead of coordinated effort.

Just want to say that u should be careful if anyone offers u a binary in this world Wink

Is there a Mac wallet for this coin?

Official Mac binary here

https://github.com/zcoinofficial/zcoin/releases

We will update with static gitian build for Linux 64bit and Windows soon. Probably with the new wallet loading speed up.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: December 31, 2016, 08:57:33 AM
Why everyone is whining like a little virgin? The coin was never that high in price, so that the devs bought lambo's from them... why so much crying? for a coin with so low market cap? There have been real scams out there with 100x more btc scammed... and yet.... here newbies cry like its the end of the world.
I suspect a coordinated FUD campaign here (maybe funded by Gary Le, maybe not).

These trolls are so tiring... No need even to read the bullshit they post. CryptoRambler (better to call it "CryptoWhimper") is talking to himself, and listens only himself too, posting nonsense, without making any attempt at understanding the answers graciously provided to him...  Undecided
His posts are specifically meaningless, and are 100% malignant bullshit. Either he understands zero technology, or is just a paid fudder troll.

Such people deserve to be ignored, nothing else. They dont want to learn, dont want to understand, but just to broarcast some shit and mislead people. Its a pity others are listening to all that bullshit.

Bitcointalk sometimes is really tiring place, and reading those posts I feel like wasting my time...

P.S. dbt1033, man there is no reason you should join this meaningless "hater-fest" now. I am sure you have better things to do Wink

Funny coincidence that they are just going rampage now after Gary' fork failed.

Gary left because this is a complete scam, he is a nice guy, and he did not want to say it in public because it not politically correct to do so.

Gary learned of it, sold his lot, kept his mouth shut...

They even called Gary the dumpster as a "nice guy". According to their logic, the one (Gary) who invested nothing and just dumped the coin is the nice guy because he "dumped and keep silent about it"  Grin while investors and dev who invested time and money are scammers. ROFL, LOL.

It isn't hard to understand their motivation now. People like them are cancer of this world.

Trolls feed on action. There is a button called Ignore Wink
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: December 30, 2016, 06:07:43 PM

Anonymity is not mandatory, but an option at Zcoin.
If you want to make your XZC anonymous, you send them to the accumulator and receive XZC with no transaction history back.
You can't hide balances at Zcoin. That's what helps you ensure that no flaw was found and abused to create tons of XZC in secret.
It's not bad to see that the devs and investors are holding (at least most of them).

Despite all the trouble, the design and implementation of Zcoin are great and there's some real development going on: implementing MTP right after having implemented the Zercoin protocol.
Zcoin doesn't tingle my scam sensors.

Obviously having account balances publicly viewable is not full privacy, and could be traced simply by amounts alone in many instances, revealing someone's identity, especially during low volume times.

I still don't see why the devs couldn't make plenty of coins here in secret? According to zcoin logic, you shouldn't be able to see what coins came from or went to who. So how would you verify or how can you tell? Please explain

Because if you create coins out of thin air, the supply will go up, it's very easy to check. Why are you attacking that fact without any understanding of the underlying mechanism ?

Nothing here sounds anonymous at all. I can't understand why it is so important to know the devs wallet balances - sounds like a twist on an MLM scheme.

I find it very hard to believe that Roger Ver or any other investor wants his account balance known, or that it means a damn thing anyway - since any one of the devs could open up any number of anonymous accounts.

It is sounding more and more like a complete scam

Complete scam because investors forgo their privacy to make funding more transparency ? LOL

I don't understand your logic at all, could you elaborate more?

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: December 30, 2016, 01:11:52 PM
After all.
Tested the client, after 12hours 30% of chain..

Any details what part of zero makes it so slow?
Does it occure with kurrent x11 fork..??

X11 fork? Do u even realize what are u talking about ?

Well I still give an answer from my understanding, not for you but for others users as well.

The slow start of the client is already a well-known problem and the team are working hard on it.

Due to its zerocoin implementation, upfront starting loading the blocks, the client needs to re-verify the existing blocks (important feature of Zerocoin to ensure no double spending or error in zerominting). Because of the current algo (Lyra2 with quite high matrix dimension), it makes the verification even slower.

Things will get much better with further improvements and MTP release.

The seed nodes are quite slow too, I will ask Poramin about improvements on that part as well.
