After i typed "ls" i copy paste this "cd zcoin-qt.app/Contents/MacOS/ ./zcoin-qt -reindex" and it opened the zcoin app now it says reindexing blocks on disk....
I dont have any zcoin.conf file in library application support zcoin folder., or in any of the subfolders. So i can't add this anywhere.
connect=london.zcoin.io connect=nyc.zcoin.io connect=sf1.zcoin.io connect=xzc.suprnova.cc
Yes u did it right. Please create the zcoin.conf if you don't have it, and add these above lines.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Dev, You say MTP will be launched in March , 2017 so now it's in March but I can not see anything about this algo. is this algo delayed again? I hope this MTP is still on schedule.
you should be patient, guy. it will be completed at the late March, 2017 as said before and now it's in early March. We have more 28 days to catch this algo. Is XZC going to be switched to a new algo? Why is that? Whoever is in charge for XZC developments he/she must implement a merged mining. To help u start off right I will invent an algo called synthhash and send u a pull request when everything is settled down.

Btw. it's notable how the responsiveness of the Zcoin account has improved during the past few weeks! You're doing a great job.

Any news on nvidia miners? Still all pools dont show what the miner shows? and difference is huge. Where is the rest of the hash going??
There are Nvidia miners out. My 1080 gets about 1700kh what does the pool register from that 1700? is the miner you run djm's? or private?

whats differences of zcoin vs zclassic? Thanks
Zclassic is a almost an exact fork of Zcash (different project). It's the same tech as Zcash but they dumped the founder's reward I believe. Zcash uses Zerocash protocol. Zcoin uses Zerocoin protocol and isn't a fork of any coin (though there are forks of Zcoin like Zoin and zcoin classic). There is no relation between the Zcoin and Zcash teams though the many of the guys working in Zcash now wrote the original paper on Zerocoin (the protocol that Zcoin uses). Both use zero knowledge proofs but different underlying cryptography. Zcash seeks to bring down proof sizes and greater anonymity in exchange for using less tested cryptography, more computational requirements and an unauditable supply. Zcoin uses more established cryptography and is computationally less intensive than Zcash with a fully auditable supply but has larger proof sizes. Both has its pros and cons and despite differing views, we think that both techs are pretty awesome. Once we implement MTP, it is also our view that it will be a superior PoW algorithm to Equihash. In fact MTP was created to address the shortcomings of Equihash. For a full explanation you can check it on our blog post on why we think Zerocoin is the more prudent implementation: http://zcoin.io/language/en/zcoin-and-zcash/

I use djm's public released miner. There's so much talk on the 'private miner' but I don't even know if it exists though @wolf0 might have some. I can confirm that those of us in the dev team aren't using anything besides the publicly available miners. djm also released his optimized sgminer for AMD cards for free.

It is still on track to be released on testnet by end of March 2017. It's even detailed in our blog ( https://zcoin.io/language/en/zcoin-mtp-development-still-on-track/) and also announced in this thread and our Twitter/Facebook. As for why we are switching to a new algorithm, since we launched this coin, MTP has always been an important piece of our development. You can read why we chose MTP here: https://zcoin.io/language/en/what-is-mtp-merkle-tree-proof-and-why-it-is-important-to-zcoin/ Thanks for your feedback but we aren't considering merged mining at this point in time.

Will you release a merkle tree syrup at the end of march as well?
Would like some for my pancakes in the morning.
(for some reason hearing merkle trees makes me think it's something delicious)

you have something set wrong, hence the "invalid device function" , well and an 880M getting 500+Mh/s?! the NETWORK is like 12GH/s heehee does that seem right to you? go over your settings again, somethings not hitting right there, prob a small error somewhere, my guess is your not using a right compute tho, compiled version for your GPU, reference: https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gpus <-- here for your compute version, looks like 880M uses 3.0 , find a ccminer that supports 3.0 compute and try again. Good Luck!
